On days with no shifts to work at Diono's, Suri was basically free to do what she wanted as before. This morning, she had gone to a mall in Central City for some shopping, mostly buying new outfits for her to wear. Done with her purchases, Suri stopped by at a quaint, quiet cafe nearby to relax for a bit, while also having a sweet drink for herself.
"I-I'd like a caffè mocha, please." Suri said while she momentarily gave her credit card to the cafe worker manning the counter. Suri liked sweet things, so she ordered a sweet chocolate-y latte to match her tastes. And she was feeling a bit tired, hopefully the caffeine would energize her a bit... Did caffeine even have any effect on a Majin like her? Oh, the counter lady was giving her card back, her order was made. "...Thank you." Suri said. She also received a buzzer that would tell her when it would be done, and with it, she walked to a nearby seat to sit down and put her bags down as well.
And she would wait... Suri placed her chin on her left hand. With nothing to do, Suri would try to distract herself by tapping on her table with a finger and silently humming the melody of a song she liked...rather than playing it on her phone, because she currently lacked a working one.

The entrance door swung open shortly after Suri found herself a table, another customer entered the building to either energize themselves with coffee or chow down in towering piles of food, maybe both. A blue'haired hybrid approached the counter to place an order, the sweet aroma in the air triggered loud rumbling his stomach. The young adult read the choices on the menu and smiled, picking a drink that looks very tasty. "I want a large black forest cake frappuccino" requesting a chocolate dessert drink made from pieces of cake, whipped cream and a dash of raspberry flavor. thinking about this combination of sweets watered his mouth, he could've have ordered a lot more food to satisfy his saiyan appetite, but zeni doesn't come from trees.
Russé placed enough Zeni no the counter and received a device to alert the hybrid his order once it's ready, turning away from the counter, his eyes noticed a recognizable face. the blue majin woman he teamed up within the mountains. a big grin formed on his face and gestured a small waved at the timid girl. "Heya Suri! Got a craving for coffee too? Have you ever tried out their new cherry supreme mocha? I haven't but it looks really good in the commercials" trying his hardest to be enthusiastic, though he hasn't selected a table to sit down just yet, figuring out where to sit. Noticing Suri's bags, he didn't know if those are hers or they belong to someone else and she's waiting for them to return.

Wandering into an area of absent thought, Suri didn't notice Russé at first. However, he certainly did. He was the one that called out to her, after all. And Suri recognized him immediately, that blue-haired Saiyan hybrid. Suri had met him a few times now, even excluding the fight at the mountains. Suri perked up, and her face turned to greet him with a wave of her own as well. "Oh, hello! I didn't see you there. I didn't expect to see you, do you live nearby?"
Suri, hand remaining on the left side of her chin, pictured the drink Russé had suggested in her mind, just for a moment. "I've already ordered a drink, but I guess I'll have that next time... I did order something sweet though, did you?" She asked.
Then, she noticed that Russé had made his order too, but he hadn't sat down yet. "Oh, looking for a seat?" Suri simply gestured for Russé to come over to her table, saying "Would you like to come sit with me?" since they knew each other and all. Suri would just use a Hoi-Poi Capsule to store away all of her bags. Dang, she didn't know what she would do without the luxuries of modern storage technology! Suri sheepishly smiled, saying "Sorry, I just had a lot of shopping to do today..." as she made her bags disappear into a tiny capsule.
Anyway, once that was done, Suri would ask Russé, "So, uhm... How have you been?"
Suri asked if he lived nearby prompting for the man to shake his head "Nah not really, I live in Ginger Town, I just wanted to hang here in the city for a little longer" confirming his residence. The blue majin has already ordered a beverage, her device awaiting her order is proof of that. She asked him about his beverage and once again the boy's mouth watered from thinking about it, his smile never left his face. "I ordered a black forest cake frappuccino, it's really good! Been eating it non-stop every time I visit a cafe, though I'm tempted to try out their new flavors.." at some point he will have to add variety in his life or he'll get sick of eating the same thing over and over again.
The young woman noticed Russé is still searching for a table and offered him a seat at her table "Sure!" the hybrid accepted, waiting for the blue majin to store her bag away in a capsule then approached the nearest seat across from Suri, plopping his butt on the stool and slouched in the chair. "No worries, gotta shop to your heart's content amirite?" his smile turned into a small grin, understanding women love to shop and she's no different. Suri asked about his well-being and status in general."Uhh, recently I visited Aurora at the hospital and provided some small assistance on her new home after she recovered, I've been devoted my time to training, I couldn't just slack off after what we've been through" he'll never allow himself to be kidnapped ever again. "What about you?" asked Russé.

Ah, Russé didn't live nearby, just happened to be here. "What a coincidence!" Suri said, clasping her hands together. "I'm from the East, but I just happened to be shopping in this area as well." It seemed like the blue-haired hybrid had a sweet tooth, and a bit of a craving for this one drink. "You're not having too much, are you...?" Suri asked, subtle concern in her voice for the Saiyan, who probably had an iron stomach of sorts? "We-Well, I guess it does sound pretty good. I've had drinks made with ice cream, but not cake..."
"...Well, I was buying some clothes, because I thought I was wearing too many same-y ones, you know? Too many hoodies and workout clothes..." Suri replied. Now that she thought about it, Suri had only met Russé while wearing her chocolate-colored hoodie. As for why she was even buying clothes in the first place, Suri could easily make clothes with her magic, but she was no fashion designer. Well, at least now she would be able to re-create the ones she had bought today, as many times as she'd want.
Suri's question was answered, then returned. "Well... I didn't get to visit Aurora while she was being treated, but I did visit her afterwards, as well. Though there wasn't a 'home' yet... Funny you should mention, actually. You know how she lives in an ice castle now? We made that together, me and her." She said with pride, though because this was Suri we were talking about, not too much.
"Other than that, I guess...a little bit of training, myself. I've been mostly at work, though." Suri said while ducking her head, feeling a bit ashamed that she wasn't trying as hard as Russé was. She'd peek back up at the Saiyan, though, asking "How are you doing, physically? Have you recovered from your...injuries?"

Suri revealed she lives in the East, though what part of East will remain a mystery, opted to not press for more details out of common courtesy. " Is that so? I guess great minds think alike" not the shopping part but sharing a common desire to spend some time enjoying themselves in North City. After telling Suri about his apparent coffee addiction, naturally, the blue majin would express concern about the implication of excess eating. "I'm half-saiyan, eating or drinking too much for humans is the equivalent of a little snack for me, I have to take in a lot of calories, yes I've had what you call too much" granted consuming large quantities of sugar will give anyone endless amount of energy, possibly a source for his happy-go-lucky personality if you will.
Suri is convinced the drink Russé describing sound pretty good and that's because it is one of the best frappucinos he's ever had. "You bet it is! Once you try it next time you won't regret it" giving her encouragement if it turned out she didn't like it, then at least he didn't make a promise it will be good.
The blue majin explained why she is buying clothes, the girl felt like she is wearing too many workout clothes and hoodies, nothing wrong with wanting to add variety on her choice of attire. "I get ya, after a while, you get sick of wearing the same thing, I would buy a lot of clothes too if I could afford it, all of my outfits are martial arts Gi's, I'll have to invest in clothes more often to blend in with regular people, I bought a new coat recently" Thanks to obtaining a strange debit card-like item from Ziriracha a while back, his zeni struggles are no longer an issue.
Getting indulged in their conversation, Russé stopped slouching in the chair, pulled up his seat closer to the table and rested his chin on right hand, looking directly at Suri. "I've heard about that, Aurora had me to some heavy lifting, moved some ice around for her home, you and Aurora are doing a great job so far, It's no Fortress of Isolation but an ice castle is really..cool" sprouting a grin, making a pun.
The half-saiyan can tell she is telling the truth, her energy signature doesn't lie, surprisingly it remained the same all this time though it can't be helped if work takes priority over maintaining a healthy shape. "Hey don't feel bummed about it, You're still stronger than me by a considerable margin, and you have ways to enhance your strength, I still have a hill to climb" trying to cheer her up, he can feel himself getting closer to her strength level and he isn't exaggerating about having a long way to go. Suri asked about his physical injuries, prompting the hybrid to examine himself.
"I'm all healed up, good as new, I thought I was gonna end up in a hospital or worse from that battle, turns out I'm really lucky to be alive, thanks to you guys." smile at Suri and showing gratitude. Although not everyone was lucky, Kalabas was killed and so was Nashua, in the former's case he died long ago and this is his second death. Knowing that you could become a ghost after death somewhat changed his perception of the concept of life. "Hey uh, you know who that kid was who showed up at Mt Frappe? I'm worried about her" his voice dropped its enthusiasm, replacing it with a somber tone. Green eyes Looking directly at Suri, they are tinted with sympathy for that saiyan child who came to the mountain to plead with her uncle.

"Mmh, I thought as much." Suri nodded in response to Russé's dismissal of her concerns, but added "Though, I'm sure even you have your limits, in terms of sugar or caffeine intake?" And gee, Russé sure was enthusiastic, especially about his drink. "I guess I've got to try it sometime, then!"
"You too, huh?" Suri said in response to Russé, who seemed to have a similar issue with her in owning too many training clothes.
Suri was flattered that Russé liked the ice castle, so, "Eheheh, thanks..." she said, scratching her head while leaning a bit back. "We tried our best. It was our first time, making a structure with magic like that. A proper one, at least..." That reminded her of her encounter with Eve, where she made a giant chocolate tree...probably the most nonsensical thing she had ever done.
Suri muttered a "Thanks..." for Russé's reassurance. She looked up at the half-Saiyan, and shrugged. "...Well, I still have a hill to climb, too. You sensed how strong everyone at the mountain was, didn't you?" she said, then she gripped her knuckles and briefly averted her gaze again. "...couldn't sense it like you guys, but I saw, at least." she added with a slight amount of shame for her multitude of shortcomings, still lingering a bit.
A sigh of relief left Suri's mouth as she heard that Russé was right as rain. "I'm glad." she said, though that brief enthusiasm soon died off along with Russé's, rather uncharacteristically for him. The little girl, 'nephew' of Kalabas? Suri remembered the name which she used to call herself. "Belle, right?" Suri asked, meeting Russé's eyes with concern in her pink orbs. "Yeah, me too... I can't imagine, what she's going through. Her uncle tried to do...very bad things, then proceeded to be killed right in front of her..." she trailed off. It was more like she could imagine, just didn't want to do so. Shaking the horrifying thoughts of one of her uncles attempting a mass murder, Suri shifted her attention back to the conversation. Her eyes regained focus, though they headed for the table again. "...and worrying is all I can do, it seems. I don't even know who she is, so I can't comfort her even though I want to."
A buzz startled the blue, blue Majin. It was the vibration of their buzzers, signifying that their drinks were done. "Uh. I'll...go get our drinks." Suri said, picking up her buzzer while extending a hand toward Russé for his. After that, she'd head to the counter to exchange 'em for the orders.
A finger tapped the center of his chin to think "limits huh, I don't think I've reached that ceiling of sugar and caffeine intake yet, but I know its bad for your teeth, I'll probably moderate myself before I reached my limit, what about you? I've heard your species can eat much more than saiyans" he's never experienced sickness from too much sugar before, do normal humans feel this way after eating? The biology of species sure is strange sometimes.
The pair came into a mutual agreement variety in clothing is necessary to prevent boredom of attire choices "Mmmhm" Russe nodded. He'll have to decide on what type of casual clothes he would find comfortable to wear, he'll figure that out later.
To say the blue-haired hybrid is impressed with their hard work is an understatement "That's your first time building that thing? Well I'll be damned, you both are very talented if you managed to get it done properly, most people would struggle to get something right after their first try" not to say they don't experience enough trial and error, but what an accomplishment! Without knowledge of how to use cryokinesis, he wouldn't be able to make a solid judgment on the matter anyway.
His comrade asked him if she sensed everyone else's strength at the mountain, while he is happy for his friends to have the power to save the world, the hybrid harbored regret of knowing how monstrous the opposing forces are, wishing he was ignorant of their power. Russé's eyes tinted with determination "Yeah, that's why I'm pushing myself to raise my strength, you and I witnessed firsthand how dangerous people are, someone was able to tear apart the clouds in the sky and nearly destroy the mountain, and worse the whole planet was in jeopardy" hands balled into fists, eyes looked down at the table. "My power wasn't enough to stop Kalabas, until then I won't stop training" cemented his resolve, a smidge of frustration came out of his voice.
Suri revealed she couldn't sense anyone at the mountain prompting his eyes to look at her again with mild surprise. "Really? How come you can't sense energy?" with how strong she is, one would assume she learned it by now.
"How about your injures? is your face okay? Saw you get popped in the nose like me" remembering Kalabas playful gesture on the pair. The blue Majin said the kid's name is Belle, like him she is worried about her mental health. Losing family like that on the spot is the worst thing a child can ever witness. "No one deserved to die or experience trauma from that, I don't care what anyone thinks, it's wrong" its all wrong, that robot had no right to do what he did! Death should not be the way to solve a problem!
Russe understood why she didn't comfort her, none of them knew who she is aside from that robot, there wasn't anything they could do to lift her spirits up. "I don't blame you." he admitted. The buzzer went off promotion sure to give up from her seat and reached a hand for his device. "Alright" Russé handed it to her, watching her approached the counter to receive their drinks. The half saiyan's green eyes rested on the girl in curiosity, wondering the kind of drink she ordered, he'll have to ask her once she returns, for whatever reason his eyes did not leave their fixation on Suri, he didn't know why...
Having met her a few times, she is strong but possessed a kindhearted soul, He couldn't tell if her personality is naturally harmless or is it a facade, regardless the half-breed male found it intriguing. Russé snapped out of his trance-like state, his head would quickly turn away soon as Suri walked back from the counter with their stuff.
