After visiting the south, Kabocha journey through the southern portion of the world yielded a mixed batch of results. One one hand, she got to meet an arcosian, and even better, her sister ACTUALLY contacted her! She had excitedly, but carefully ran as fast as she could to get to the western verge. adrenaline pumping through her blood and a fuzzy feeling in her skull as she ran. She was getting used to the timing on when she needed to stop however, so she didn't collapse. Eventually making her way into a small town she huffed hotly as she was doubled over, hands on knees, still wearing her weighted gear. Her heart was beating arrhythmical and she was having a hard time catching her breath, but this was an objective win! She didn't collapse into the dirt! [Okay...! Getting better at this...! Okay...! Good...!] She stood up straight, finally catching a breath as her heart rate returned to normal. The town before her was really relaxing to look at. It was humble; a few ranchers, and a pretty nice community.
Walking up to a local she wiped her forehead of sweat and asked "Hey, sorry to bother you but-" Though, the moment the man turned and saw Kabocha, he shrieked out, and ran for his house, shouting "ITS THE RED MENACE! RUN FOR IT!" The speed and immediate response startled Kabocha, and she jumped back "w-wait, where?!" she turned all around to watch as more, and more people made a break for their homes. Emptying out until only she was there. She paused, perplexed at the situation "there's... no one here though...?" She turned all around her once more, trying to find even a single person. "This would be so much easier if I could fly like Garruk could... Dang it." She turned and started running through the town, trying to see if she could spot this "red menace" She ran, and ran, and ran. but she couldn't find anyone- until she saw the silhouette of someone off in the distance, That had to be the red menace! She got slow, slowly sneaking closer and closer, her heart in her throat from how hard it was beating with anxiety. She tried to not focus on herself or the silhouette in front of her, and slowly drop her 'presence'. [PL 5...4...3...2...1] [Ki Suppression Used]. When she got close enough, she started to pull up, and catch the element of surprise, jumping up even! Though, poorly tied boots coming loose and tripping her put a stop to that, however. She jumped up, caught her lace on the jump- and smacked into the ground with a loud THUD!, face first mouth full of dirt and dust now. [Why does this always happen?!] [Ki Suppression Cancelled, PL Jumps to 5]

"And why exactly am I the person you fellas hollered out for to find this threat?"
"B-Because you're a Saiyan! You're just n-naturally super strong, r-right?"
"Fair enough. Head on home, I'll handle this so called Red Menace..."
Being quite the wide reaching brand, Diono's was a pub and bar chain that was very well-known throughout the world- even within the more bare boned western verge. A place where Dion himself is quite biased against due to the fact that he himself just hated the idea of getting so much dust and sand within his clothes. It didn't help that his last venture within the western wastes didn't go exactly as planned, the last venture being a failed treasure hunt of sorts that ended up being nothing but a wild goose chase. However, being a businessman, Dion knew that one of the most important things to have in the restaurant business is flexibility in location, and if he was to spread Diono's throughout the stars he would have to implement his restaurants in places that even he may not like very much. Which, of course, included the aforementioned western verge. It didn't take much to buy one of the older saloons within one of the more well known towns, nor did it take much to renovate into a Diono's to Dion's liking. In fact, he liked it so much that he decided that he'd eventually bartend for a couple hours within the Diono's just to ensure it had a stable start. And so, today was that very day, with Dion arriving to the same town Kabocha would be stumbling into a couple hours early for the purpose he had just stated- to help their local Diono's diner get themselves off the ground. It was surprisingly fun! The rough and tough attitude of the western folk reminding him fondly of Planet Vegeta, of home. And they all made for excellent drinking partners! Alas, all good things must come to an end, and eventually Dion began to pack his things, intent on returning home to his apartment when all the sudden some of the townsfolk came to him with an interesting proposition. It was no secret that he himself was of Saiyan heritage- he wore his tail out in the open proudly, and his incredible physical ability also gave it away. So, when the townsfolk began banking on that fact as a way to argue as to why he should help them out, the bartender wasn't exactly surprised.
As for why they had went out of their way to plea for his assistance, it was due to this strange threat of the Red Menace- a legend or whatever that Dion had never heard of prior to today. His head tilted in slight confusion, the young Saiyan male sighed and reluctantly obliged, his moral compass leading him to the well known fact that no good person with his amount of strength would ever pass up the opportunity to help.
After the townspeople thanked him and Dion waved them off to their homes, he immediately set out his search, looking out for any suspicious looking figures within the town square- his silhouette of course being the thing that Kabocha had seen within the distance. He wasn't too ignorant of Kabocha approaching either, but he shrugged her approach off as he could sense that it was nothing at all of any concern. Honestly, after seeing the frightening strength of the Duke of the Saiyan empire, formally known as Kalabas, nothing really could faze him at this point.
However, the great big thud as well as the sudden (while minuscule) increase in strength drew Dions attention behind him, and his eyes widened slightly in surprised as he was face to face with what looked to be a female Saiyan. Which was confusing for numerous reasons, the main one of course being that he's never sensed a Saiyan that, well, he didn't want to say weak out of not wanting to be mean, but there wasn't really any other way he could put it.
Disregarding the power gap (character was what mattered to him most anyways) Dion knelt down in front of the lass, offering a hand to the girl as he winked in her direction, saying in an amused and slightly teasing tone, "Hey there sugah- Looks like you're having the rough of it, ain'tcha? Mind if I lend you a hand?"

Her face planted on the ground she could hardly respond like this. Though just like last time she ate the ground, she did NOT want to get up. There was palpable embarrassment coursing through her veins. How many times did this have to happen? She forced down a mild blush on her face as she felt the ground sap the heat from her face. "Nope! Nope I do not mind at all!" she reached up and tried grabbing onto his hand without having to look up from the non judgmental earth. The ground does not judge, it's only the bane of faces. She hoisted herself up slowly to see a tail as she was coming up. her tail swaying to wrap around her waist quickly [Ooooh heck, hoping he's nice, hoping he's nice hoping-] She looked at him and she mentally screamed as she stood up tall [OH NO HE'S HANDSOME!] She had this oddly fixed happy expression on her face that- while looking genuine, definitely told everyone who could see it that she was more in her own head than she was in the moment. She shook her head, throwing the dirt that collected in her bangs to either side as she reset her expression and genuinely smiled "Hey thanks, I appreciate it!" She looked him over [Ahhhh no he's not red- like. at all.] "Sorry i'm a bit of a klutz, I heard everyone freak out about the 'Red Menace' and I thought you were them- Sorry about that!" She bowed her head to him apologetically.
Meanwhile the villager she had talked to was staring at the both of them intently from the window. Kabocha could feel something itch at the back of her mind, the thoughts that intruded coming closer to the forefront [Someone's watching, He's strong, VERY. VERY. STRONG. RUN OR FIGHT. FIGHT?] With such an intense power gap, her instincts were just going wild and seemingly it was almost like they were malfunctioning. Though she could feel the mild adrenaline coursing through her veins. She tried to push the thoughts away, cram it back to it's corner and calm down. She could already feel a mild tightening in her chest. "My uh, my name's Kabocha, My friends call me Gourd! Uh- what's your name if I may ask" she says, feeling slowly more comfortable with the situation.

The momentarily dazed yet happy expression on Kabochas face as she was lifted up from her place in the dirt made the bartender laugh a little bit, not in a teasing way, more in an endeared manner. He didn't realize that he was that dashing, after all. To be fair, she didn't look too bad herself, no not at all. Once she had regained her bearings a bit, Dion dusted off some of the dirt that had got onto him as she shook the pieces of it that had gotten into her hair off, and after she had offered the Saiyan male an apology, Dion was just as quick to wave it off- saying, ignorant to the fact that she had just tried to get the jump on him, "Why're you apologizing to me-? It's not like you were tryna attack me or something. You were just walking over to meet me and then you had a bit of a fall was all. It's interesting that you're also out here for this whole 'Red Menace' guy though, as I've also been- hired, I guess- by the townsfolk to try and get rid of them. It would have helped if they actually gave me, well, us, a physical description. But nah, guess it can't ever be that easy."
Continuing on, once the girl had eventually formally introduced herself, Dion offered her his hand once more, bowing slightly as he introduced himself as well, saying with a wink, "Kabocha, yeah? Pleasure to meetcha sweetpea, never thought I'd be seeing someone so nice-looking on the hunt for someone so scary-sounding. But then again, as life has taught me over and over, never judge a book by its cover- and it is indeed quite selfless of ye to be going out of your way for some strangers ya hardly know, so you've got my respect already."
With each moment past though, Dion couldn't help but notice the unnerved demeanor Kabocha had when talking with the bartender. Utilizing his years of experience as, well, working as a bartender, Dion began to analyze her a bit- deducing from both the slight tightening of her upper body as well as her tail stiffening up a bit, all coupled with the nervous energy that she was simply giving off, that Kabocha could most likely sense the strength Dion was packing- and was beginning to be slightly put off by said strength.
Wanting to calm the girls nerves a bit, Dion patted her gently on the head- smiling as he said in a bit of an embarrassed tone, "Well, jeez, looks to me that you can actually sense my power signature- unlike the majority of others within this town. Sorry about that, probably shoulda mentioned that earlier yeah-? But yes, I'm a bit stronger than most, but I assure you, I don't bite. Still though, I do apologize for sending you into a bit of a panic. I promise I'm not anyone to fear." "I'm just here to make friends and help some poor people out. Speaking of said people, since you're here as well, would ya mind joining me at all to help with the search? I certainly wouldn't mind."

She chuckled at Dion's mild grievances with the lack of explanation on the Red Menace "Nope, never can be that easy" She affirmed, and was fairly thankful that Dion didn't hold her disruption and possible surprise against her. "But yeah, when I came to talk to one of the villagers, he screamed it out, but it was weird. I couldn't see anyone else, either they fled, or they can turn invisible" She said semi nervous. She really was fairly new to what ki could do, and magic she assumed was even more versatile from fiction she's read.
Her cheeks flushed mildly when she was called sweetpea [Oh wow he's good at this] She took his hand, shook it, running a hand through her hair to straighten it after her fall made it slightly messy. When he came back from the mild bow she explained a little more "Well thank ya! I just thought, 'hey if I could find him people wouldn't have to worry so much' but I ah- kinda forget that to a lot of my friends i'm pretty weak in comparison!" She chuckled. It was easy for her to admit, but there was always that tiniest of pings of frustration deep inside. Must be the spark of her saiyan blood abhorring this kind of thinking. When Dion finally explained his strength, her instincts seemed to cool the hell down thankfully. She smiled to him and nodded "I didn't realize that's what I was doing, it always just... well, hmmm- you ever get that feeling in your spine where it feels like there's a trailing shiver going down it? that's kinda how it feels when I notice someone's stronger than me. I always thought it was just instinct" And there was a little bit of pride beaming through the odd Saiyan, not knowing that she was in tune with everything around her, learning she actually was. It have her a sense of joy to know she was might be understanding this 'ki' thing, if that's what she was sensing. Finally with the last bit she nodded and jumped a bit in place, hands clasped together "Oh! Well count me as a friend already! and yeah i'd be happy to search with you! we can run towards the east part of the village if ya want and start searching there."

As their conversation continued on, it became clearer and clearer that Kabocha didn't necessarily have the greatest experience in the many uses Ki could have- something that reminded him of himself just a year or so ago when his main goals didn't include getting stronger in the slightest. So he had a bit of an idea as to what exactly she was going through. Knowing little to nothing about fighting and Ki manipulation in general leads you to getting into some awkward situations. And, many times, it makes you look like an utter idiot who had no clue what they were doing. But, that's all part of ones growth, as Dion was also soon to learn. Being able to get used to being uncomfortable was a skill that all people who wanted any sort of future in fighting need to cultivate and advance. So he was sure so long as Kabocha continued to keep at it, and learned how to deal with the feelings of inadequacy that were now badgering her (feelings of which presently he could very much connect and sympathize with, damn that Kalabas) she would definitely go far. I mean, Dion did the exact same things she was doing, so if he could do it, really anyone could.
Continuing to hold his warm and friendly smile, he chuckled a bit at her stating her weakness in comparison to the rest of her friends, saying, "I'm sure you aren't as weak as you think you are. You're a Saiyan, anyways, you've got the greatest potential out of all of them most likely. We were kinda made for the punching people in the face gig, so I wouldn't be surprised if you started to rapidly surpass a good amount of them once you get a hang of the whole Ki manipulation thing." Continuing to listen, he was further surprised at the fact that she was unaware of exactly what she was doing. Normally, if you were able to sense the Ki of living things you were at least aware of what you were doing, yet Kabocha seemed none the wiser about it! It was quite a strange spectacle to behold.
Dion began to think that, maybe she would benefit from having a proper teacher to help utilize her potential? Eh, it was worth a shot, but, a bit early to ask such a thing, so that could come later. He had a decent track record, so it was definitely not out of the question. Plus, Kabocha seemed pretty eager to learn, so he made a mental note to ask her later.
For now, the bartender returned his attention to the task ahead of the two, nodding as she seemed quite open to the idea of the two of them working together to bring down this "Red Menace" and saying, "Well, glad to see you don't mind keeping me company for a little while then. East side of the village sounds fine to me, we don't really have any other leads to follow as is, so, might as well just take a shot in the dark and see what we find!"
Then, after gesturing for Kabocha to stick next to him as they began to make their way to the east side of the village, Dion asked, "So, what's your story Kabocha-? A lotta people often times have reasons as to why they're getting interested in the whole battle biz, so, what's been your motivation? If you don't mind me asking of course, I don't wish to pry or anything of the sort."

Dion's friendly reassurence that her potential was much greater than the other warrior's she's met was found with a mix of...; appreciation, confusion, affirmation, and an odd sense of satisfaction. Appreciation was obvious, it's nice to have what you do be recognized by others, the fact that she was working on being stronger was why this made a warm fuzzy feeling in her gut, and this all just encouraged that. It was very sweet of this stranger. The confusion was that, while- yes Kabocha was a saiyan, and yes- she did have suspicions as to the legacy of saiyans, she was earnestly surprised to learn that their race was very... very... punchy punchy. The affirmation came from the same thread- after meeting hazel, hearing stories from her mother and father, and now seeing how strong Dion was? It was a good inference that the saiyan race was a legacy of warriors. and last but not least- the satisfaction. Out came a sense of pride and joy of being held up as strong, and it almost felt natural that the next desire that crossed her mind was to... well, train! All of her life, she didn't realize how the feeling of progress and growth was so addictive. She could see where her weight lifter brother- Yamu was coming from with his obsession with working out.
She was incredibly happy to know that Dion was happy to have her around for the search, especially with the knowledge that if he was here to handle the Menace, then they'd have to be insanely strong. It was... well a sense of worry for her. As much as she enjoyed the praise, if it's someone who could give dion trouble, she's pretty sure it'd just take a flick to cave her skull into her corpus callosum. Or, if it was someone who wouldn't pose a serious challenge to dion, it'd be nice to see if this could be resolved semi peacefully.
She snapped back to attention as dion gestured for her, as they walked she considered his question. [Hmmm, I- well, I think he's friendly enough- and he hasn't made fun of me for being a klutz- I think maybe he'll understand why i'm out here] she smiled to him and nodded "No I don't mind ya askin', well-... From the start, I was born near East city- kind of... It's more it's own self contained thing I suppose, but it's so close it really could be considered just a part of the city. My Father's a Scientist, and My Mom's a tournament announcer, they're both born from Vegeta actually! They uh left- after my sister Potana was born, a few years after. They said it's super oppressive to live there if you're not strong. Well, my other 3 siblings were born, Yamu, Renkai, and Radisa. Then I was born! Uhh, things... get a little fuzzy here- but from what my parents will tell me, Potana and them got in a fight, a huge spat... I was there for it, and she gave me a hug, said goodbye and left... That uh... that was 14 years ago..." she paused from her explanation, her smile fading from her face as questions battered her subconscious, still even now trying to probe the deepest part of her brain, trying to recall what the fight was about. She shook her head and looked back to him "I graduated, and my friend told me about- well... someone named Hazel told me it was someone named Chime, who's like... sort of god? Come to think of it now I really hope she wasn't just pulling my leg" she muttered the last bit. "And well, my sister sent me a letter while I was in south city to not come to the west, and well- you ah... you can't just NOT go to the west after that. uhhh, now here I am!" she smiled again and opened her arms in a sort of TADAAA way. "What about you, what's your story?"

It was good to have someone to liven up the mood and ease up the boredom of going on what could possibly very well be a wild goose chase for some unknown apparently village-threatening problem. Dion found that most of the time he spent alone doing menial tasks that it made the whole ordeal much more boring and taxing to get over with. However, whenever he did things that were normally boring but with some rather good company, then the whole situation became all the more entertaining to him-! And since Kabocha seemed like some pretty good company to him, Dion was all too happy to let her tag along for what would've been in any other situation, a boring ride. He just hoped he wouldn't be the reason why it'd be boring, eheheh. Shaking his head, his eyes returned to focus on Kabocha- her bubbly energy and eagerness to learn shining through her words, and her entire persona reminding him very much of Retasu- an old hybrid protege of his that he had not seen for quite some time. A bit more of a somber look appeared on the young mans face as she came to mind. He was a bit sad he hadn't seen her in so long, but, such is life.
For now, he'd be quite satisfied with Kabochas presence though, and as she began to speak once more, Dion was all ears. While it was a slight surprise to hear that she hadn't been born on the Saiyan homeworld, it did make a world of sense, considering her low battle power and lack of training within combat and Ki. Something told Dion that if she was born on Vegeta, she would've turned out much different. Continuing on, he was also surprised to hear that both of her parents weren't your run of the mill Saiyan warriors, and actually had some normal (but quite not normal occupations in terms of Saiyan culture) jobs to their names. Since his own parents were both involved with the Saiyan military for at least some portion of their lives, and only halted their participation to take care of Dion (and his drunkard father, aw, dad). And this time wasn't too surprised upon hearing the whole oppression schtick. Yeah, Vegeta wasn't exactly the most accepting of planets when it came to their home race fitting their racial labels. So he wasn't at all mad at their decision to emigrate somewhere more accepting, like Earth.
The rest of the story now gave Dion a bit of a headache to keep up with, but, he thought he got the gist of it overall. Something about a helluva lotta siblings, one of them going a bit rogue but with no harmful intent behind that, more of a wanting to be free, and then one of Kabochas friends named Hazel telling her about some guy who was god-
Wait, the name Chime did ring a bell. Thinking for a moment with a scrunched up look of thought on his face, Dion attempted to reach back and think of where exactly he had recognized that name from. Then it suddenly came to him! And, as well as a large bit of guilt with it. It was the very Namekian he had blocked from killing Kalabas all those days ago.
No use for bad vibes now, he decided. He waved the thought of, instead choosing to return to Kabochas words just as she finished rattling off the rest of her story- ending it with the reason why she found herself within the Western parts of the world in the first place. She was on a noble quest to find her sister! An amused smile appeared on his face as she finished off by asking his own story. Sighing, he crossed his arms, saying, "Well, first off, that's a mighty entertainin' story of yours Kabocha. Pretty sweet of ye to go on such a hunt for your beloved sister. I do hope your parents are aware of you leaving home to do this, right? I'd assume so, you don't seem like the trouble making type, and trust me, I know the trouble making type, and you aren't it."
"...as for my story, well, it ain't nothing too special. Came from Vegeta originally looking for better business after doing well bartending on aforementioned home planet. Eventually started meeting a lotta new friends and faces, became the owner of a respected bar and pub chain named after yours truly, and, well.."
Stopping in his tracks and looking around for a couple moments, he then turned again to face Kabocha, saying in a secretive tone, "..if you don't tell anybody, I've also become something of a Super Saiyan myself. Pretty nifty if I do say so myself, the legends don't do it justice though till you've seen it for yourself."
Soon enough returning to his walk, Dion then finished off by stating, "As you can see, yeah, nothing too awfully special. Just another man hoping to sell some drinks and make a couple folks happy. Hopefully I didn't bore ya too much."

Kabocha gave a big happy grin to Dion as he commended her for the journey she was on to find her sister, and a small moment shot where he assured her that he felt she wasn't the trouble making type where she had a bit more of a nervous smile "y-yeah!" she affirmed "well, it took me a few weeks to actually get them to agree, they kept saying 'there's no point' and 'we've looked for your sister ourselves' and 'it's not going to go how you think it is' and all that-" She pouted a little bit, more of mild frustration at remembering their words "I mean, if you did or do have a sibling i'm sure you'd do the same thing, you seem like a really nice guy!"
She listened to his story with excited fervor. She loved learning about people's lives. So he came from Vegeta, and did bar-tending! She wasn't sure if she could get a drink from his bar, but... well she wouldn't mind it herself! She'd never got drunk before- might be nice! "Awesome! I should check it out whenever I can happen to find it!"
When he stopped in his tracks, she stood stock still as he spoke to her in such a secretive way, she listened carefully and when he mentioned super saiyan she paused. She heard that before... hmm... She could have sworn her mother mentioned it once... like- as a story... her face obviously wrapped up in whatever she was thinking as her expression was fixed. Though the thankfully wrapped it up and shook her head and continued to walk with him "Honestly you're pretty interestin' Dion, it's nice to see someone who's really strong and can hold down a business of his own!" She skipped a little bit as she walked as she said that "I'd love to see this 'super saiyan' thing eventually, can't remember where I heard it from but I hope it looks super cool!"
As they continued down the street into the east portion of town kabocha started to scan the area for anyone who looked very suspicious. Though- it sincerely looked like the village with completely empty. Though as time went by on the search the villager who kabocha'd first contacted came out from his door and pointed directly at the duo and shouted "Sir, that's the Red Menace! What are you waiting for?!" He cried out, cowering behind the door. He was a very scraggly looking man.
Kabocha was confused and began looking around, trying to figure out what he meant. "Where do you see them?!" She asked the man as she looked. [Did we miss them?!] She looked all around, but was not realizing that the man that was at the doorway was referring to her. She looked back to Dion and asked "Can you see them?" a confused expression plastered on her face.

Although he did agree with Kabochas sentiments, Dion could see exactly why her parents wouldn't be the most supportive of people in the venture of finding her long lost sister. If a family member of his left in such a huff he probably would have just left them alone, unsure of whether or not his company would even be welcomed. However, it sounded like Kabocha's sister loved her very much, and actually did actively want her company if she went so far as to contact her herself. So, Dion simply chuckled a bit at the girl's great zest, saying in reply to if one of his own close family members up and did this, "Well, I'm flattered you'd call me a nice guy, I thank ye for that- But I think I'd only go looking if that family member of mine wanted me to look. If they left, say, without a word, but have always had a good relationship with the family overall, then I'd probably go a lookin'. But if it was a strained relationship where arguments were common and then they up and left, then I'd probably understand why they'd leave, and only go looking if I had reason to be worried about where they were going, or if they called upon me themselves. Sounds like your sister really loves ya though, so I'd say you're doing the right move by going after her."
Upon Kabocha saying she'd probably go out one of these days to try and find one of his Diono's locations, he felt the need to mention the fact that he did work in-house from time to time, saying, "Who knows? Maybe you'll be lucky enough to stumble into the one I just so happen to be working at. I may be the CEO, but I have people doing the boring at home paperwork for me, so I get to have a bit of fun and keep with my roots of bartending. It would be nice to serve such good company like ye. Maybe it could work as repayment for you helping me out today?"
He was surprised, however, further on in their conversation, to hear that she had no clue what in the world a Super Saiyan was. Yes, again, it was safely established that she wasn't the most knowledgeable of martial artists, but, almost all Saiyans (except her apparently) were aware of the legendary form. It was even more surprising to then think of the notion that her parents had failed to mention such a cultural thing. Shaking off the disbelief, he said, "Well, I could show ya the form if you want me to. You'll have to forgive me if I get a bit more irritable while in Super Saiyan though, bit of a side effect that I hope I can fix later on in the future when I get more used to using the golden gilded power."
However, Dion was then interrupted by the strange old man within his doorway, his body tensing as the old man cried out that the Red Menace was right around here somewhere. He immediately began to survey the immediate area, trying to see if anyone fit the bill of a town threatening threat. Was it an android whose energy he couldn't sense? Was it maybe a more magically affiliated user? Or maybe they were-
The bartender stared directly at Kabocha curiously as it occurred to him that the Red Menace could be standing right in front of him. Now properly confused, Dion held Kabocha by the shoulders as he gestured toward the old man to her, saying in an incredulous tone, "Are you saying SHE'S the Red Menace? How in the Hell could she be the one terrorizing your town? That doesn't even make any sense! She doesn't seem like the evil kinda gal."

Kabocha listened to dion and felt very conflicted as she took in his reasoning, she was sure her sister would be happy to see her, but... it did make sense how he'd handle the situation- maybe she was barreling right to her sister as a way to push that idea to the back of her mind... but, no there's no way, she smiled as she remembered the last hug she got from her sister and reminded herself that her sister cared for her, affirmed by the end of dion's assessment. Made her happy to be reaffirmed like this, and even better was the prospect that Dion would be happy to serve some drinks for her [Heck yeah! I wonder if he serves the sweet kind of drinks I hear about from my friends!]
She paused at the affirmation that he'd show her super saiyan. and... that it would make him more irritable. well, this was a first- she knew that made sense immediately. It wasn't from any deductive reasoning, but she felt it in her bones. the adrenaline, the itch to fight something- it had to be her genetics, and if this is a state someone can achieve, it would only make sense that it would put someone on edge! [+1 points for brain, neat!] she nodded to Dion "It'd be cool to see it!-"
though when Dion was interrupted by the strange man, and when she looked to him, she felt nervous as he stared back at her. when he grabbed onto her shoulders she outright squeaked in surprise and stared back to the old man, wildly confused [WHY DID I SQUEAK, wait did the old man think...?] She stared dumbfounded at the old man that was still to a degree cowering at the doorway
"Don't be fooled! She's obviously tricking you to thinking she's innocent!!!" He cried out "Show him your teeth Menace! Show him your jagged demon teeth!" The old man commanded
Kabocha blinked twice, feeling like that trait sounded familiar but she shook her head and shrugged still in dion's grasp, she opened her mouth wide to show her teeth. They were- pretty average actually, other than the fact her canine's looked a little sharper than most. A far cry from what the old man made it sound like it was.
The old man stared bewildered, as he slowly came out of his door "w-wait..." he came close, but not too close to worry dion and stared at her teeth "that's... oh... oh goodness. i'm- I'm so sorry miss, we thought... you looked like a deadringer for... L-let me fix this" he turned and called out "False alarm! She just looks like the menace, she isn't it!" he bellowed as loud as an old man reasonably could. He turned back to dion and bowed apologetically "I'm so sorry sir, we really thought it was the menace, it's- actually uncanny, but you're right- she's far too innocent..." The village slowly started to filter out of their homes into the street, some coming by to confirm that- yup! this innocent tol bean of a lady was definitely not a monster

As Kabocha voiced her excitement to see the legendary form of their warrior race, Dion was just about to offer directly to do so as again, the whole old man situation played out- with the bartender now sighing tiredly as the old man realized that yes, indeed, he had the wrong gal. Chuckling slightly at Kabocha's reaction to his actions, he patted her on the head, saying in an apologetic tone, "Sorry about that Kabocha, just had to make sure to show them the sweet lil' lass I've been talking with couldn't be this big scary Red Menace that they're talking about." Not only that, but she wasn't exactly the strongest of threats either- no offense- so the likelihood that she actually was someone to give them trouble was greatly lowered. Taking note of the characteristic of sharp teeth this Red Menace had, and also duly noting Kabocha's own pair of chompers, Dion began to laugh off the whole situation, a ways of trying to lighten the stressful atmosphere as he said, "Ah, it's no problem gramps- you were just looking out for your townspeople; your family. Completely understandable and admirable of you to do so. In fact I'd be a bit concerned if you weren't this watchful of your folk." Though, the fact that the rest of the town now came out to seemingly get a better look at Kabocha was a bit much.
Looking around at the now newly formed crowd, he shot Kabocha an amused glance, then returning his full attention to the group formed as he let go of Kabocha's shoulders and gestured toward her, saying, "Cmon, cmon, come get your fill- there's literally no way the gal you're looking for who's apparently this Red Menace is sweetheart Kabocha right here. She doesn't bite-!"
After the crowd had their fill and their doubts were swiftly soothed by Dion's charismatic persona, the bartender signaled for the old man to remain with the two. Once they had all cleared out, and they could have a bit more of a private conversation, Dion motioned for Kabocha to follow closely next to him as he asked the old man, "So, do you mind if we come inside and you tell us a bit more about this Red Menace lass? If she looks nigh hither to identical to my friend here, I think I oughta hear some of the details to make sure I know, well, we know, exactly who we're on the lookout for. We're going into this pretty blind as is."
The old man nodded, and so Dion (and presumably Kabocha) followed the man into his house, the old man gesturing for the two Saiyans to take a seat on his couch as he himself walked over into his kitchen in order to get the two some refreshments. Once the two got settled in, Dion looked around, occupying himself with analyzing his change of environment as he waited for the old man to return.
His face then turned back toward Kabocha for a couple seconds as he asked, "Do you know of anyone that looks eerily like you? I mean, it's highly unlikely you've got yourself a doppelganger of sorts, but, I'm just trying to see all our options here." Dion's face then turned to look at the old man as he reentered the room, who now held in his hands a tray of tea and cookies. Smiling and saying a quick thank you as he set the tray down in front of them on the table positioned in front of him and took a seat in the easy chair just in front of them, across on the opposite end of the table.
After Dion waited for everyone to get properly settled in, the bartender then went straight into the nitty gritty, hands folded together and leaning his face forward as he asked in an inquisitive tone, "So, gimme the stats- a quick little rundown of who exactly this Red Menace is. Everything you know would do nicely. I need as much info as I can get before trying to hunt down what could be nothing more than a ghost story gone wrong. Hell, it might even be someone playing a sick prank.."

The confusion on her face faded a bit as Dion reassured her and chuckled, she could feel the stress that was building up in her shoulders ease immediately as he gave his amused glace, she looked about the crowd and apologized as much as she could for the inconvenience, and the crowd as quickly has pooled in, had dispersed back to what they had been doing before the panic as most people ignored kabocha's presence. She liked this a whole lot better! Being in the spotlight didn't ah- suit her. Though looking at dion again, his reactions were a lot more calm and prepared for things like these it seemed! He must have had a lot experience in public relations that she didn't know about! Well, it made a bit of sense though, given he was a business man and a bartender, she'd assume that he'd have to be pretty good with people, especially if someone got feisty in his bar. Cause in her mind, while she had no doubt he could flip someone over a building with his pinkie, that probably didn't do anything good for reputation. "Patience of a saint" she jokingly muttered under her breath with a small chuckle as they were bidden inside the old man's house after dion made a good point of asking for details.
She walked into the house with them both, and sat down on the couch next to Dion. She looked up to him when she was asked about this and she shook her head "Can't say that I do, My sister's Renkai, Radisa, and Potana look a lot like me, but none of them would be that kind of person" She said, dismissing the possibility very quickly. She looked to the cookies that were offered and she gave the old man a thank you just like dion had. "Otherwise most of my friends are either Arcosians or a lil fluffy cat boy! Definitely not anyone who looks like me, and I haven't met someone otherwise who looks like me that much"
-
When the old man got settled onto his chair, with the sound of some popping bones, he cleared his throat "Right...- Years ago, there had been some rumors of a young saiyan woman like the both of you, who had worn battle armor and a red cloak that would wander the wastes and hold people at... Finger point. Edna in the village had seen her son pierced by a beam that came from her fingers, bless his memory. He'd gotten mixed up in gangs and...-" he paused, and shook his head "Hmm... not too important, but as occurrences like these kept up, she was called 'the red menace' due to her energy being red, and being a marauder. She'd come to this town before, demanding food and water- anyone who stood up to her... she'd horribly pummel." He seemed to wince at those words, like he'd seen it. "It's not often that she comes by, so we all assume she has many targets, and a base of some sorts, but she's never come with anyone other than herself- and since we're not an important city like west city, we've been more or less left to fend for ourselves..." He said bitterly. "She looks a lot like this young one, but- with side shaven hair, battle armor, and scarring. I realize now that distinguishes them a bit, but at the moment I had feared she had gone undercover as she may have known you were coming to help, had covered her scars, grown out her hair, and wanted something we had." he looked to kabocha and shook his head yet again "I'm so sorry I mistook you for such a beast, and i'm sorry for taking your time with a fruitless scare sir. but if you could still help us we would be happy to supply you with anything you needed, we need a protector- just like any city..." He pleaded to Dion.
- Kabocha looked to dion and the old man. "Honestly i'm okay with what happened. you have to take care of your family! and a tight knit town's like a big family!" She says repeating a lot of what dion had said, smiling to the old man reassuringly. She felt uneasy though. If the red menace was around here, her sister was going to be in danger. She looked to dion and asked very quickly "Dion, I know this is a bit early to ask something, but if you want to continue looking out for the menace, do you think you could teach me to fly? I know a lot of strong people know how to do that, and Running around's gonna be dangerous and too slow to get this done..." She said, a determined fire lighting in her eyes to be helpful to these people.

True to Kabocha's assumptions, Dion did indeed have a long reaching history with his skillfulness pertaining to public relations and interactions. Going back all the way to the ripe age of fifteen years on his home-world of Planet Vegeta is the age wherein Dion had taken the job of junior bartender within one of the towns located just a couple miles off of his hometown (his family didn't have the greatest reputation in their own hometown, so, he had better luck getting a job elsewhere) in order to be able to provide for his family, seeing as his mother had been recently fired due to a work accident and his father being a useless (but still evermore lovable) drunkard. He already had a past in making and creating drinks for his father, and had a naturally strong gravitation toward sociability and speech from his mother, so it just seemed like the best course of action seeing as he had exhausted every other option available to him within reason. And so, the rest was history after getting the job- and now here he was on Earth demonstrating how to put such skills to use. Along with that, he was birthed also with a good sense of humor and a decent sense of hearing, and thus of course was able to hear Kabocha's passing snide comment about his patience and temperment.
Laughing at her remark, he patted her on the head as they entered, saying, "Yeah, I've been told! Though, it's probably just because I've already experienced some of the worst hospitality the universe has to offer in the form of bar patrons back on Planet Vegeta. Oh, you would not believe the people I've ran into there! Quite possibly some of the biggest asshats this side of the entire cosmos, Kami.."
"But it sounds like to me you've had an easier trip of it- it's good to hear that you associate yourself with some of the more nicer folk of the cosmos commonwealth. What's more surprising is how you've somehow managed to friend some Arcosians! Since, well, we don't exactly get along the best. I myself am friends with an Arcosian as well, so I know it ain't impossible, but it's highly improbably is what I'm saying. I'd love to meet them if you don't mind!"
And soon enough, they were inside, seated, and listening to the old man regale them with the tale of the Red Menace; Dion's spine tingling as he heard of the crimes they had committed in their stead. He found it incredibly cowardly to pick on those of whom who couldn't even dare to match up to your own power level- the young Saiyan male strongly believing in the philosophy of picking on someone your own size. At least then you could scrounge up some amount of respect. Choosing to bully the innocent wasn't just morally wrong, it was inherently pathetic.
Choosing to continue to listen without any side comments, though, he wished to soak up all the information that he could get before they took their leave, ears perking and listening in on the description of her appearance and her personality. Conniving, cruel, and apparently of some level of strength. He found it odd that none of the townsfolk had chosen to reach out to any of the other cities instead of simply waiting for them at all to help, but nonetheless, he was still willing to lend a helping hand when none else would.
Old fashioned battle armor, military grade haircut, unending bloodlust...Dion's eyes closed for a while as he took it all in, attempting to use his deduction skills for something more useful than first impressions. This was most likely an old fashioned Saiyan that they were dealing with, seeing as they hold many of the characteristics that many of the more veteran fighters of the race have come to harbor. Especially seeing as they had the classic thirst for blood and wanton suffering, something that is either tempered or much more watered down within today's society of Saiyans. Or at least, that's what he's seen so far.
Looking up into the old man's face as he began to apologize, Dion immediately waved him off, saying in a contradictory voice, "There's no need for all that apologizin' friend- it's not like I have anywhere else of importance to be today. Besides, if people are hurtin' and I can do something about it, I'm probably just as bad as this Red Menace you talk about if I don't do anything about it."
Thanking the old man for the information and refreshments, he immediately began to make his way outside once more with Kabocha presumably in tow, his ears once again perking as she asked whether or not he'd be able to teach her how to fly. Turning around to face her, he said, "I wouldn't mind at all! I mean, I was gonna offer to carry you or something instead, yknow, and just do a small bit of flying about to get an aerial view of what we were dealing with, but if you wanna start some parts of training right away, I don't really mind! I only offer to carry ye though since we are kinda on a time crunch, and flying sometimes takes a bit to comprehend, soo.."

"Oh! I suppose that's fair since yeah time's of the essence, whoops!" she giggled and scratched the back of her head "But- yeah we should get going... If they're hanging around the west, most likely we'll probably be able to find them further west. If they want a range of places to hit, it'd make sense to set up base around midwest? It'd be the most efficient method, and it'd allow for the least amount of contact with people I think!" She said, showing much more than any other time the fact she was fairly intelligent. "Though, she could be somewhere more north if she wanted to play it super safe!" She shrugged "Where do you think we should go?" She asks, coming up to him and following his lead with however he wanted to pick her up and carry her.
There was definitely a sense of anxiety in Kabocha now. What if her sister was killed by this Red Menace? What if more people were gonna die if they didn't find her! She pushed back those feelings. pulling out and focusing on her scouter while Dion did what he did to get them airborne. Cycling through information that she had, and eventually finding the power level scanner. Looking around the town and noticing the many 4-5PL's. She marveled on how it worked, and when curiosity got the better of her, she looked to Dion and her scouter flipped the ever-loving hell out. Surprising her, but she kept still. trying not to panic as the scouter non responded. She looked back down at the area around them and started looking around for higher power.
Much further west in a cave sat a hooded figure, looking down at her cooking food which was small animal meat and sighing to herself, her cloak covered in blood. "Goddamn I wish I could get some good food. not this small cat food!... I should head back to the village and get some good fuckin' food." she kicked the rock stool next to her and sent it meters out of the cave. Frustration easing out of her like the air she breathed. the cave littered with a few personal effects. Other cowls, spare armor- and in one of the pockets was a picture of a family. Two preteens, two toddlers and a baby. Kabocha, Yamu, Radisa, Renkai, and another saiyan preteen stuck in the middle hugging them all together. Most of them insanely young, Kabocha only being a smol babby. Potana's eyes flicked back to the pictures a few times and she sighed, leaning against the rock wall.
