Running down the streets with bags in hand and a few beads of sweat on her brow, Zriracha was once again donning her disguise as ‘Zira’, but with good reason aside from just a comfort. It was a little hotter out, but the Demon Woman was on a mission to find everything necessary for her little event. She’d kept it a secret for a few days as she gathered the supplies to preserve her magic – which was going to be part of the show she’d planned – but had finally called on to Polarus and Whiskers to join her at a specific place to catch up. There was so much to catch up on and she wanted to do it in a place where they could all have fun while doing it.
Finally reaching her destination, ‘Zira’ let out a sigh as she looked upon her handy work in the park. For a modest fee, of magical money of course, she’d rented out the park that Whisker’s enjoyed playing at and had decorated the area with a plethora of balloons, a bouncy house and various other items that the party advisor had informed her to get for a child’s party. She might have… gone a little overboard with the bouncy castle but if it made the kitten happy then it was absolutely worth it.
She’d recalled their training in the desert and the fun they had eating different kinds of foods and she’d wanted SO badly to show him what ‘fun’ could be, but… she hadn’t learned the spell for advanced materialization. It had taken her days and pouring over the spell book practicing, but she could finally do it. Finally, she could show both of her favorite mortals a fun trick or two!
She rushed over to a table and sat the bags down – gifts she’d carefully selected – and sat down on the bench to rest a moment. She looked over at all of the children that she’d invited to come along, certain that the little kitten would have invited strangers to play if he’d had all of this to himself. As she looked on, a smile on her face, the Demon would wonder… exactly when she started to feel so happy about this world. She’d wanted to be the Demon her clan desired her to be: to rule the world and bring her kind to the mortals realms… but nothing panned out and… and it didn’t feel right.
Before she wasn’t sure if she was doing what was expected of her, or what she wanted. She could at least say, with better confidence, that she enjoyed the look of trust on Whisker’s face. The proud expression on the General when they fought just for the sake of fighting. The look in Polarus’ eye when they exchanged a particularly amusing joke that neither had to think twice about…
Maybe… just maybe, being a contradiction could be something she could be proud of.

Whisker's PL: 48,000
Whisker had already been in Central city for a couple of days when he received a message from Zira to go to a certain place for a surprise. He was so excited to hear from Zira again that his entire face lit up in excitement! Not only that, but Polarus was gonna be there, too! It was just like the first time they met but with the three of them being friends instead of strangers! Whisker had been hopping around the city in a hurry, using what money he made selling pelts and meat to buy gifts for the two people he had learned to trust and care for greatly over the past couple months. There were several moments where he stopped and thought to himself about how far he had come in the past two years; from a broken child encountering death for the first time to a happy and healthy child with more friends than he ever thought possible! It didn't matter that they were adults and he was so young, nor that they had only known each other for a couple of months. Despite it all, he loved them like they had known each other for their whole lives! It took Whisker a while to find his way around the city, especially since he didn't exactly know where anything was, but he was told to report to the park where he first met Belle and the other kids. Last time he had only stumbled upon it by accident on a quiet day, but today was different! There were people everywhere, and it made him have to fly around in order to see anything at all! Eventually, he did make it back to the park he was supposed to be at, but it looked... different. There were kids all around and some sort of... rubbery structure standing in the middle of the park. There were also balloons all over the place and decorations adorning most of the park. Was this a "celebration" like the one Zira was talking about back in the desert? Whisker's excitement came to a boil when he finally landed on the ground and looked around for his friends. Finally spotting her by the tables full of food, Whisker ran over quickly and hopped at her, arms out wide in a hug and giggling like crazy. "Zira! Zira! I made it! What's going on? Is this a celebration! Everything looks so fun!"

"GrrrrrrrAAAAHHH-!"
With a mighty backhand, Polarus batted away a hungry looking sand worm beast akin to that of the one Whisker and he had fought within their first training session. An even mightier sigh of exhaustion left the Arcosian noble's lips as he looked up into the midday desert sun, sweat dropping in beads down his forehead as he stood there in the sandy wastes, realizing that his decision to train within the dunes of the western verge was quite the smart decision indeed. Forcing his body to acclimate and endure itself in such harsh conditions would allow for him to grow past his limitations and get some actually decent training in- as opposed to him laying on his ass for half of the conditioning as he did when he had helped Whisker along with his own progress. Panting, he was about to go find some more worthy adversity when all the sudden within the folds of his bio-armor vibrated his scouter like visor communicator. Taking it out, he placed it upon his head- a feeling of intrigue and, while he'd never admit it aloud, happiness as he saw that it was a message from Zriracha herself. After reading it over quickly, eventually the Arcosian began to make his way out of the desert wastes from whence he had been training, and soon enough was airborne- flying through the much cooler climate of the blue sky as he mused over why she would be calling upon him.
During his flight, Polarus' mind began to wander past the more specific questions of why Zriracha would request his presence at such a strange time, to more generalized inquisitions, one of the more prominent ones being whether or not forming all these new, relationships, with these otherworlders was distracting him from his overall goal. He wasn't here to dilly dally, he was here in the name of his people, and in the name of a better future free from the recklessness of the Saiyan Kingdom.
Yet, ever since he's landed on Earth, it was as if everyday was a different mission, a different agenda- something to detract him from the path of vengeance for his people. Whether it be the entrancing allure that was Zrirachas inherent charm, Lao's continued assurance of friendship, or the entertaining father/son like dynamic he and Whisker have come to know each other by, Polarus found himself getting more sidetracked day by day. But was that such a bad thing? He felt himself, growing, somehow, from all these new experiences. Perhaps not through the traditional or militaristic sense that his own family would come to expect, but, as a person, perhaps? Beyond someone of a cold, calculative, two-dimensional exterior, into something more. Polarus felt, human?
Shaking his head of the thought, he simply reasserted that these relationships were something to not become too infatuated with. His people and the mission came first, no matter the cost.
...did he truly believe that still?
Pushing the thoughts somewhere deep down below, Polarus eventually made it to his destination, entering the familiar looking environment of Central City with a now focused gaze. Looking around for a couple moments, the Arcosian quickly afterward made his landing within the park Zriracha had instructed him upon going to, his eyes being greeted by what he would describe as a child's fever dream made into reality. Really, everything a child could ever want in a get together was amassed into one air tight spot. Balloons, cake and sugar-infused refreshment, even an entire bouncy house could be seen a bit farther into the distance of the parks range as Polarus began his walk through the park. A strangely somber mood slowly enveloped him as he saw the festivities rage on with happy ferocity.
If only he could have had a childhood as grand as this.
Once his eyes had found the two people he had been looking for, though, his unhappy demeanor disappeared in a hurry- Polarus approaching the two from behind within his true form. As he saw Whisker grab Zriracha in a hug, a smile quickly formed from within his bio-armor face mask. It seemed he wasn't the only one getting close to the demonness.
Deciding that he didn't want to be the one left out, Polarus swiftly closed the distance between the pair and he, wrapping both of them in a large and tight (but not too tight, Kami, he didn't wish to hurt either one) embrace as he let out a loud bellow of a laugh, saying in a jubilant tone, "Ah, the two people whom I find most endearing on this entire planet- besides Lao- ! It is simply a joy to see the both of you within my company once more. You should have told me a gathering like this was bound to take place, I would have brought something- what do the humans call it? A house warming gift?"

‘Zira’ didn’t have to wait long as she heard more than felt or scented Whisker’s presence, turning her head to see the kitten rush at her. Immediately, her shocked expression bloomed into a beaming smile as she turned her body toward him and gave a soft ‘Oh!’ as he threw his arms around her neck in a hug so strong she almost didn’t think she’d called the right cat. At his excited questions, ‘Zira’ laughed and pulled back, answering in an amused tone with a grin, “That’s right! I’d been planning something like this since our desert adventure and my goodness-! How strong you’ve become! At this rate you’re going to surpass your teachers!” It was at this moment that the Demon would find herself in another, much larger, embrace from behind. A brief scent, not that she needed it with the familiar gems on the arms around her, told her that it was the second guest she’d invited and she gave a surprised but still elated ‘Thereheis!’, her voice sounded strained but not hurt in any way. When they were finally put down, Zriracha would dismiss the Arcosian’s contrite response. “That would eliminate the point of it being a surprise party,” She chuckled before getting to her feet quickly. She was so excited to finally start the festivities and show them what she’d been wanting to show off, she’d almost forgot what her first activity was! Thankfully… With a little poof, ‘Zira’ produced a little paper that represented a list of sorts and materialized a pen in her other hand – checking off the first line that read ‘party guests’. What would she do without this little itinerary, she wondered? “Alright!” She started, practically buzzing with energy, “So the first thing we’re going to do is play some games! But,” She held up a finger, “Not just any games! They will test many aspects of your hand-eye coordination AND reward you with a random prize every time you win! From the Demon Realm itself, I give you-!” With a little pose and an incantation, ‘Zira’ would summon a contraption similar to a ‘Wack-a-Mole’ game that featured a little Oni with a mallet on the side of it. Popping up occasionally would be a little caricature of a Shin-Jin. “-'God Asunder'!!” She finished, a bead of sweat rolling down her temple before practically skipping over to the side of the machine and picking up the club that was provided. She waved over Whiskers, “The object of the game is to hit this little one and beat the score of the contestant before you. For every successful score that ascends beyond the previous – you’ll receive a prize that will pop out of this compartment, but no one EVER knows what it will be! In addition,” She bopped the little Shin-Jin and, almost immediately, the speed at which the little contraption popped would increase in pace dramatically. “The more you hit it, the faster it will go! Ready to give it a try?” Whisker

Whisker's PL: 48,000
Whisker gasped in surprise as his favorite Arcosian appeared behind him, taking them both in a massive hug that gently squished him between the two much larger individuals. Turning now to give Polarus a hug, Whisker giggled and smiled widely. "Plaris! You made it! I'm so happy to see you!" Whisker hopped down between the two of them when he remembered that he did indeed get them both gifts, but it wasn't time for that just yet. "Um... I did get you both something, but you're gonna have to wait for it! It's a surprise!"Whisker followed Zira as she explained what they were going to do first. His eyes went wide when she conjured some strange game for them to play. Her introduction to the game made him smile excitedly. "This is like training AND fun at the same time! I love it!" Whisker hopped around excitedly, eventually flying up to grab the hammer and focusing for a moment. When he started, the first few Shinjin were easy enough to hit, but an unfocused Whisker saw as it became faster and faster. He managed to continue hitting all of them until it got so fast that his eyes could hardly keep track! When he missed a couple, he breathed in deeply and went into super focus mode, concentrating all of his Ki to his mind and his arms. From the outside, it looked like a maelstrom was taking place over the top of this game, with each hit forcing an "Ora!" out of Whisker- a human word he had learned while travelling in central city a while ago from something called a "video game." Eventually, it went too fast even for him to match. He wouldn't be able to keep up unless he transformed, but he was afraid that if he did that, he might accidentally break the game and then the others couldn't try! There was no way he wanted to do that! So instead, he simply guessed where they might be and hit about half of them before a noise sounded on the machine and the Shinjin stopped popping up. This must mean the game is over! Aw man, and I was having so much fun! Whisker giggled and stepped back as the overhead score board showed a rather large number on it. "I did it, I did it! Plaris, now you gotta try! Beat my high score, I dare you!" Whisker didn't care about a prize, and if his high score was beat, he wouldn't be the least bit upset. His two favorite people in the whole wide world were here with him and he couldn't be happier!

A surprise party? Now Polarus was even more intrigued. He himself as a child was never exposed to many of these sorts of gatherings. Formal galas and such for the purpose of growing their political reach and to strengthen bonds between the royal family and their allies, yes, he was used to. This sort of get together was foreign territory to the Arcosian. Ever since he was a child he was put to work, laboring day in and day out in order to fill the shoes his father (the former ruler of their planet, and of their people) left for him. The weight of his family's reputation and his family's high hopes on his back forcing him to get to work in order to get the strength to carry such a weight consistently and constantly. Of course, it left him better than he would be if he didn't work so doggedly at the grind, but, it left him without a childhood to look back on. Just, constant work, day in and day out, with very little actual child-things to look back on. While others learned how to ride a bike, or perhaps played outside with their plethora of friends, Polarus instead learned which spoon and fork to use when dining with those of the higher class, and the proper ways to make an opponent within combat quit both physically and mentally. Not exactly the first things you'd think of when you think "fulfilling childhood".
Once more waving off his less than average early life, Polarus returned his attention back to the task at hand- rolling his eyes slightly in amusement as Zriracha declared that they would be beginning the party games section of the gathering. He wasn't exactly a stranger to such games, Lao was all too happy to give him his fill of the many that children would play considering he himself played a lot of these games (both as an adult and as a child) so he had a bit of an idea of just what he was getting into. And while he thought himself above such things, for Whisker he decided that he wouldn't mind knocking himself down a peg or so. If it made his protege that happy, then he himself would be more than happy to comply. Besides, today was focused on him and his desires, yes? So there was an even greater obligation to fulfill such wants.
However, Polarus was momentarily distracted by Whisker suddenly saying that he had brought the two presents instead of vice versa, and was just about to question why when all the sudden their first party game appeared out of thin air- an impressed feeling now encompassing him as he saw just how capable Zriracha was when it came to her area of expertise. He expected just as much, but still, it was all the more breathtaking seeing it in person rather than just reading some book with unintelligible demonic runic lingo. As she began to explain the objective of the game, and what exactly they got for winning it, the nobles gaze immediately drifted to focus on Whisker- a knowing smile forming from behind his bio armor face mask. He knew that his little feline friend would love the opportunity to both get some training in as well as the chance to do it in a fun way.
Of which he did-! Being nothing but a furry blur as he was able to pound out an incredibly large number on the machines score taking mechanism. Polarus uncrossed his arms to clap for Whisker- saying in a proud tone, "Just as Zriracha, or, Zira, in this case, said herself- You've indeed grown quite a bit since the last I've seen of you Whisker! I am quite proud."
Upon being egged on by his surrogate son to try and best him at his own game, a crack of the knuckles and the neck was all Polarus allowed to sound off as he walked toward the machine. Choosing to not use the club provided, the now competitive frost demon waited the start of the game. Once the Shinjin popped his widdle head out (he found the whole "beating the race that the demons are stereo-typically named to hate" actually quite amusing, as if this was secretly therapeutic for Zriracha) the two would most likely be surprised to see that the Arcosian chose to use his tail to bang the Shinjin puppet on his temple. Soon enough, Polarus reached the pace Whisker had stopped at with relative ease (he WAS within his True Form afterall) and began to increasingly set the gap further, and further, and further away with only the use of his tail. Eventually, he got a bit too big-headed, and soon enough he had missed the Shinjin once and thus the game came to a swift end.
But, Polarus was unable to move his tail in time, and as a sort of sacrifice for being able to nearly triple the score Whisker was able to get, the puppet accidentally clamped down on the tip of his tail, dragging it into the machine and causing Polarus quite a bit of discomfort. Not wanting to scream in front of the two people he spent cultivating a nigh hither to invincible persona toward, Polarus instead stood there in pained silence- shivering slightly as he said in a bit of a shaky tone, "Zriracha, I would MUCH appreciate it if you p-please, quickly, fixed, this."

While Zriracha was excited to see what Whiskers had brought with him, not expecting him to bring gifts for them she was dedicated to her itinerary and would await the gift-opening ceremony with great patience. She watched, grinning from ear to ear, as the little kitten blew through the game with impressive speed – even going so far as to almost move so quickly she almost couldn’t catch up! As she watched him nearly decimate the machine score-card, ‘Zira’ would briefly lean toward Polarus and whisper in amused inquiry, “’Plaris?’" She teased, an arched bow. She wouldn’t tease him too much, however, realizing that they must have met and forged their own relations along the as she had with the Arcosian Noble. Once Whiskers had gotten as far as he could get, ‘Zira’ was stepping toward the machine – her favorite part coming up. “Just a moment-!” She knelt down, looking at the little slot before reaching in. She felt around for the prize, her own child-like excitement perking through and she beamed. Then, she grasped something and pulled it out. It was a stuffed version of an Oni! She frowned, sad that it was something so mundane. “Curses! Well, there is always next time,” She mused, standing back up with the doll and bringing it over to the table. “Well done, Whiskers!” She called over her shoulder, looking back a moment later to see Polarus stepping up to give the game a try. At this, she would give a soft ‘Oh ho!’ and leaned against the table with her hip and cross her arms to enjoy the show. As expected of his power, Polarus did, in fact, beat the young kitten’s score – it wasn’t until he’d made the mistake of being… well, arrogant enough to use his tail that the Demon found herself giving a hearty bout of laughter at Polarus’ expense, nearly doubled over as she fought to reclaim her composure. “Y-Yes, I’m-! I’m coming,” She assured between breaths of barely-containable chortles, speed-walking over before placing her hand against the machine. She would have played it herself, but she was the host AND it would have been a more painful experience to pull the puppet back up. It was a Demon Arcade machine, after all! With a quick incantation, the machine POOF!ed back to its realm – likely to return to the game shop she’d borrowed it from. With a shake of her head, she looked up at the taller Polarus with a raised brow, “Better now?” ‘Zira’ questioned with a grin. While she didn’t want to embarrass him in front of Whisker’s, the temptation to tease him at every moment was much too hard to miss. How remiss would that be of me to pass up such opportunities? Once she was sure he was fine, she was moving on quickly to the next event! She clapped her hands, summoning her list and lining through the task they finished. “Alright! The next event is, hopefully, a little less intense! We’re going to be ‘Bobbing for Apples’ now!” With a snap of her fingers, the next item that would appear would be two tubs filled with… something red? And what floated inside were clearly… not apples. “-Is what I would like to say,” ‘Zira’ slyly continued, chuckling darkly as she hoped they were catching on that these events were decidedly not mortal ones. “These are known in the Demon realm as ‘Psudo Fruits’! Created to look just like the fruits guarded fiercely by the Ogres in the Hell, the great thing about these fruits is that you never know what flavor your going to taste when you bite into one! Don’t be too alarmed by the red of the liquid inside, as well-”She shrugged, “It’s what the Humans like to call ‘Hetap-Aid’ and it quite refreshing. No blood this time,” ‘Zira’ chuckled, though she did wonder if maybe blood would have made this a little more authentic. Whisker

Whisker's PL: 48,000
Whisker puffed his cheeks out as Polarus surpassed his high score. I coulda done better if I went all out. Hmph. Show off! He giggled to himself and stuck a tongue out at Polarus, who of course could not have noticed because of how busy he was at that game. When Polarus used his tail, Whisker couldn't help but giggle at how silly the large lizard looked whacking at a child's game with all of his might. He managed to hold back his laughter for only a moment before the game ended and Polarus' tail got stuck in one of the holes. Unable to refrain from a burst of laughter, Whisker let loose and rolled around on the ground in a fit of giggles at just how far Polarus went to retain his cool-headed nature. "Hahaha! You did it alright Plaris! You won!" Whisker looked at his new little plush and squeezed it tightly. It may not be something he's used to having, it may not even be something he would choose for himself, but it was a gift he had won and he would treasure it forever! Watching Zira also fall into a fit of laughter sent Whisker spiraling again out of control, the whole air around them filling with laughter, though not exactly pointed at Polarus directly. He was having an immense amount of fun and simply couldn't hold it all back! Once they settled down, though, it was time to move on to the next game! This one incorporated some kind of red liquid and equally as red fruits. He could tell the liquid was not blood for many reasons, the most obvious of which came from experience. "I've never done this before, but you hold your breath for this? This is gonna be great! We trained for this Zira! You gotta participate in this one!" Whisker cheered and giggled, offering for one of them to start the game first so that he could show how much his training had paid off. It might be a bit gloaty, but Whisker felt he was allowed at least a little bit of gloating! Whisker smiled and climbed onto the shoulders of whomever decided not to go first, making sure he had the best view so that he could have an advantage when it came to be his turn. If Polarus was gonna take his challenge seriously, then so shall he! He readied himself mentally, watching every movement made so that he could learn from the experience of others how best to "bob for apples" as Zira put it. Gotta Strategize! Go brain go! From the outside, it looked as though the tiny kitten had smelled something terrible, but internally he was serious as ever!

Before all else, Polarus let out a sigh of relief as his tail was swiftly cut loose from its prison, immediately bringing the tip that was stuck inside of the machine up to his face mask for immediate inspection. Rubbing it gently, muttering something about needing to remember to not get overconfident, the Arcosian immediately looked over to Zriracha, who apparently was having the time of her life watching him suffer oh so greatly. Rolling his eyes for what felt like the fifth time today, he patted her on the head with an amused yet also irritated expression on his face, saying in a deathly threatening (but not actually with harmful intent) tone, "Careful, Zriracha, it would be quite the shame for you to, how do the humans put it? Bust a gut?" After their whole, exchange (that was one way of putting it, whew), Polarus was not ready to give way any ground to her just yet. But it also gave light to the fact that she was someone he could poke fun at without having to worry about hurt feelings afterward. Quite a nice quality to have, and gives her even more value for him to take note of. But, she wasn't the only guilty party currently present either.
Looking over at Whisker, who also was seemingly enjoying seeing his surrogate father be put into his place by a children's game, Polarus began to walk over to him- letting out a playful "raagh" as he took the little kitten by his underarms, picking him up and spinning him around a little bit before stopping, setting him atop his shoulders and booping him on the nose once or twice as he said in a mock indignant tone, "My own protege, making light of my own pain-? How could you, Whisker! I thought we had something special.."
Of course, he was kidding, and he was sure to make every expression and gesture made during his little spiel overly dramatic to make it obvious that he was, knowing that Whisker was innocent enough to mistake it as legitimately hurt feelings if done any other way.
Holding onto Whiskers widdle legs as he turned to face Zriracha once more as she conjured up the next activity for them to do, he reeled backward slightly at the initial sight of the barrels they were to bob within. Though, he did slowly move back forward as she reassured the two that it wasn't blood within the containers, and that the fruits that looked of dubious origin were not anything at all to be too afraid of. Listening intently as she explained the rules, Polarus started to become interested in just how humans managed to come up with such strange rituals to undergo for, fun. How was this at all considered, enjoyable? Shaking his head, he began to wonder just how ridiculous these humans could be in search of making their mundane existences a bit more exciting. Ah, well, if it brought them some sort of enjoyment, who was he to judge?
Looking up at the focused furry friend of his upon his shoulders, Polarus let out a slight snicker at the expression he held as he tried to focus. His widdle face scrunching up as though someone had said something undesirable making the Arcosian unable to retain a composed stature. Eyes still on Whisker, Polarus directed his next set of words to Zriracha, saying, "If it's all the same to you, my dear Zriracha, I think it would be more beneficial of the both of us to see you demonstrate first before we try it ourselves."

When it appeared that both Whisker AND Polarus desired for her to show them it was done, even in spite of how simple her instructions seemed to be, the Demon couldn’t help but wonder if there was some sort of conspiracy going on here. A playful one and not at all intent to harm, but certainly to show whom was the better competitor! She scoffed, looking back at the two barrels that she’d summoned and left with a choice. She wasn’t… against playing along – it was one of her favorite games, after all – but the Demon didn’t really calculate this in her plans. Oh, to hell with it – it’s a party! She finally relented and placed her hands on her hips, “Oh, if you insist! But-” She walked over to the tub, “-If neither of you win, then I get to take the prize of an entire cake to myself!” She laughed, her threat absolutely hollow but Whisker didn’t need to know that. Walking up to the nearest tub and kneeling down in front of it, ‘Zira’ cracked her neck from side to side in preparation before holding up her hands and counting down, “Three! Two! One-!” And then grasped both sides and sunk her head into the beverage with a gasp of breath. Whisker was correct in that they’d trained for this and, as she searched for the Psudo Fruit with her mouth, she could tell that her ability to hold her breath would come in handy. If only she could… get the fruit now!! Thirty seconds passed by as she struggled and when she couldn’t get the it in her mouth by the fifty second mark, the Demon had to pull up with a gasp of air and spat a curse out in frustration, “It… seemed I… made them a bit big… to bite,” She noted between huffs of breath before standing back up; her face a mess of red and hair weighed down heavily by the sticky beverage. One the other hand, ‘Zira’ noted with an indulgent lick of her lips, Hetap-Aid was actually very delicious and… energizing! She brought a hand up to smooth some of her hair back out of her face before giving a chuckle, “Lucky for you two, I won’t be getting that cake. Now the only question remains is-” She gestured to the barrels, “Who will?” Delivered with a sly wink. As she stepped back to allow them to compete against each other, 'Zira' would materialize a small towel with her magic and begin drying her hair, wincing a couple times when the stickiness started to make it clump uncomfortably. She'd need to shower or release her Glamoured form to resolve it but, for now, she would be content to allow herself to appear disheveled. Whisker

Whisker's PL: 48,000
Whisker laughed at Polarus' joke about him betraying Polarus, returning his gaze quickly to the barrels, focusing and finally realizing the perfect method for catching one of those devious fruits! When Zira finally decided to accept the responsibility of going first, Whisker kept his eye on how she proceeded to try and get one of the fruits. Just as he thought, biting the fruits wasn't going to work! They were simply too big to fit enough of a chunk into one's mouth, and the fact that they were in liquid made the process frustrating to even attempt! It would waste time to attempt the same method, even if his sharp teeth might pierce the flesh of the fruit. Hopping off of Polarus' shoulder, the kitten floated up to the top of the barrel and smiled. Yes! They've got stems! He turned to Polarus with a devious smile. "Well, Plaris? You ready to lose?"Whisker's playful and teasing voice spilled over with confidence. Not only could he hold his breath for a long time, but he was used to grabbing small things from moving water since he fished on a regular basis! Barehanded fishing was certainly the best way to test reflexes, so he was convinced this would be an easy win. Even if he lost, He would put up a darn good fight! "That cake is as good as mine! Hehehe!" Whisker had only had a cake once, and it was for his fifth birthday. That actually reminded him... wasn't his birthday coming up? It wasn't actually the day he was born, but instead the day he was found. "Founday" just didn't sound as catchy. Whisker had something to prove! He may have lost the last game, but he was definitely going to win this one! When the two of them were ready, he counted backward from three out loud, held his breath, and dunked his head in. He wasn't going to open his eyes under water, as it might sting or blind him! This stuff might be tasty, but you definitely shouldn't get it in your eyes! Feeling his way around, Whisker found one of the fruits and started spinning it with his nose to find the stem. It took him around fifteen seconds, but once he did, he quickly grabbed it with his teeth just enough to pull it up and breathed in some fresh air! He dropped the fruit in his hands and laughed, cheering loudly before turning to see if Polarus was done.

While the prize of a cake all to himself wasn't exactly the type of thing he was into, the opportunity to tease Zriracha as well as push Whisker was too good to pass up! So, the Arcosian watched carefully as the "human" woman plunged herself into the murky red depths, taking note of the fact that they had no time limit so long as they could keep their breath held that long. A low rumbling chuckle came from Polarus as he realized this, and soon he realized such a game was practically made for him to win due to his race's ability to keep themselves filled on oxygen even within the vacuum of space. It was a nifty little ability that helped to be the tide turner in many battles in his race's past- especially against that of the Saiyan race feuds. Although, he did wonder if being able to breathe within space transferred over to being able to hold his breath while under water. Well, not really water, but, you get the point. Space and liquid were two fairly different things, so it would be quite interesting to see just how far he could take this ability of his in order to be able to choose the best of the fruits.
After Zriracha, oh, no, Zira, had finally bailed out after the thirty second count, Polarus couldn't help but laugh a bit at the strange red mess atop her head. Slowly becoming a bit worried about Whiskers fur then if her hair was so negatively affected and stickied. However, he was sure his surrogate cat son would have some sort of fix for such a problem, and so after he put Whisker down next to the barrel of his choosing to go at it with, the Arcosian made his way over to Zriracha, who was currently attempting to fix the mess formally known as her hair, with some difficulty.
Despite his teasing demeanor toward her, Polarus did care about Zriracha (as proven several times over by their most recent interaction, whew) and so he was a bit concerned as he saw the slight winces in pain from attempting to declump the stuck together parts of her hair. Frowning underneath his face mask, he asked her with a slightly snarky undertone, "May I, perhaps, help you with that, miss Zira-?" If she allowed him to, he would then stick his pointer finger straight out- a small sharpened Ki blade pointing out from the tip as he then began to run the blade through the stickier parts of her hair as Whisker went on to start his bobbing for apples, the blade being sharp enough to separate the strands stuck together, but dull enough to the point where it wouldn't actually cut through. His oddly nimble finger ran through her hair with precision and accuracy, with Polarus able to get the majority of it unstuck before Whisker was done with his bobbing.
Turning to congratulate Whisker, he said with a coy voice, "That is quite the sizable fruit you have there within your paws, Whisker. However, I am your teacher for a reason, and you have not surpassed me just yet."
He then made his way to the second barrel, bio-mask retracting as to ensure he was actually able to bit into one of the fruits. Polarus then dunked himself below the red depths, the whole thing looking quite comedic as he had to bend forwards quite a bit in order to get properly under the red Hetap waves. He kept his eyes open- the slight burning from the Hetap Aid not really bothering him as he searched within the liquid for a large enough fruit for his standards. After a minute or so of being under, Polarus was able to grip within his wide open maw a large enough fruit, lifting himself out of the barrel immediately afterward- bringing much of the liquid out with him.
It was quite a terrifying sight- Polarus biting onto a strange fruit as the red Hetap aid liquid rained down from the top of his head as though he himself was bathing within the blood of his enemies. It was as though he had just done away with an entire army.
But all Polarus did was spit out the fruit into his hand, shrugging and saying, "Well, that wasn't so bad. I probably should have noted that my race is known for breathing without difficulty within space, though. It feels as though that was an unfair advantage."

‘Zira’ grinned as Whisker took straight away to the barrel of fruits with that never-ending optimism that she hoped she’d emulated so far in the day. As she struggled with her hair, the Demon would become aware of Polarus approaching her and offering (with his typical snark) to help her with the stickier strands. Although she felt the beginnings of an equally sarcastic or abrasive response, ‘Zira’ found that she couldn’t quite get the words out – whether it was out of some kind of fondness that she felt for him or the flourish of warmth that spread through her as he detangled her hair (maybe both) Zriracha would merely smile and allow him to work through her hair. For a few intense few seconds that felt like they lasted hours, ‘Zira’ would just enjoy the sensations of him helping to part her hair and seemed to jump suddenly when Whisker pulled up the fruit from the barrel and cheered. She looked over, a little jarred, but laughed approvingly as he held up from the fruit. “Well done!” She called just before Polarus made his own comment that had her arch an eyebrow at him as he walked over to the barrel. “Teacher?” She mumbled, amused but also… slightly jealous? As she watched him dunk his head into the barrel and – after a terrifying minute of waiting – finally pull up a fruit with his mouth she was left to gape at him as he dropped the piece into his hand. At the tidbit of his species ability to breathe in space, ‘Zira’ could only shake her head with a laugh, “Perhaps! That does sounds like an unfair advantage, but-” She shrugged, grinning as she approached the two and reached into the barrel to bring out a fruit for herself. “-That IS the way of the Demon! And that is what this party is all about! And this,” She gestured to the fruit, “-is my favorite part. Bite into the fruit and tell me what flavor you get!” And without much more preamble, she bit into her first and took a massive chunk from the flesh. Only to nearly gag and spit it out – a hand coming up to her face to prevent the piece from falling between her lips. “U-Ughg!” She laughed with her mouth full, tears nearly coming to her eyes in spite of the smile on her face, “Iths… sthour mihlk flavhor,” And with a final gag, she turned away and spat the piece to the ground. She shook her head and made a face with her tongue, “So terrible!” Whisker

Whisker's PL: 48,000
Whisker huffed as Polarus brought up a large fruit as well, bragging about his race's ability to "breathe" without the need for air. It was slightly upsetting that his friend had every advantage when it came to these games, and it seemed as though he was super competitive even against a child. Instead of lingering on the those feelings, Whisker calmed himself and vowed to do his best on whatever game came next, even if it meant tapping into his stronger form. Whisker sighed and smiled at the challenge that awaited him. He had been holding back, thinking this wouldn't be so serious of a challenge, and that they were just there to have fun at a party. This must be secret training as well! Plaris you sneak!Whisker listened as Zira talked about the real trick of these fruits. Each had a unique flavor that seemed to be... unusual. He didn't know whether they would all be gross or if there was also a chance it could be good. He hesitated, but eventually took a big bite out of the fruit. Immediately, his entire body puckered as an intense wave of bitter and sour flavors washed over him. The tiny kitten was already covered in a red, sticky mess made by the Hetap-aid, and now he was stiff as a board with his face twisted in discomfort by the intensity of what he was tasting. Once he could finally regain a small semblance of control over his body, he started shaking wildly for a few moments, flinging bits of the strange liquid everywhere around him, including on Polarus and Zira. "Wowowowow… I dunno what that flavor is but it was super weeeeeird! I couldn't move my face for so long!" He shook his face again on occasion, with his ears and eyes twitching on their own at random. Whisker had never tasted anything like that before, but he was convinced never to try anything like that ever again if he could help it. He giggled as he began to clean his fur as usual, licking up what he could and using a bit of normal water to clean what he couldn't reach. Anyone who looked at the small creature could certainly see how one would consider them adorable. "S-so what's next Zira? Hopefully not more weird fruits! I dunno if I could handle another one!"

The feeling of closeness between the Frost Demon and the more hot temperatured demon were quite mutual- with Polarus also feeling oddly giddy at the ability to help Zriracha, well, again, Zira, with something. The close proximity of the two reminding him of their last, heated, encounter, in more good ways than one. He was slightly surprised to see that Zira had no snarky comment in response, but then again, sometimes things were better left unsaid. For the few, yet all the more tantalizing moments, he helped to fix up Zira's hair just as Whisker snapped him out of his midday daydream to call him up to the barrel for his own turn. As he did so, and things played out as they originally did, with the Arcosian becoming quite amused at the two's reactions to his ability to breathe for an indefinite amount of time even under the most straining of circumstances. He did wonder if it was a good idea to waste such a bombshell of a secret on nothing more than a party game and showboating, but, Zira and Whisker were two people of whom he cared very much for- and, hopefully, vice versa, so he trusted them with his averagely known secret.
Polarus did forget the fact that each fruit had a different flavor though- the nature of such a flavor clearly also randomized as Zira bit into her own fruit and found not the greatest of pleasures awaiting her. Polarus stifled a fit of laughter at her reaction, knowing that that would be quite the backtrack to the tender moment they had just shared as he said in a good-natured, joking tone, "If I had known the contents of such a reward would be this, ambiguous, then I most likely would not have gone through all the trouble.."
If Zira's reaction was anything to go off of, the fruits were definitely not items to be trifled with- however, the doubts and apprehensiveness to take a bite into the fruit in his possession all but dissipated as he saw Whisker take a large glomp into his own fruit. Instead of finding humor within his reaction, however, the Arcosian only felt incredible worry- and he immediately placed his own fruit down at another table near them as he picked up the kitten within his two massive hands, saying in a worried tone, "Whisker my boy, are you alright-?! You had the most excruciating of expressions for a moment there..."
To the Frost Demon's relief, however, Whisker was indeed unscathed, the nasty expression the only aftereffect of the fruit's less than desirable flavor from what he could see. Sighing, he sat him back down, petting and scratching him on the head and around the scruff as he said in a tone befitting that of a tired father, "I'd prefer if you didn't bring me into such disarray next time, Whisker, please do be more careful.."
Since his surrogate son was able to undertake such a challenge though, this meant that Polarus would be potentially one upped if he himself refused to take part in the biting of the fruit. So, in order to keep with the tradition, and keep Whisker from too easy of a victory, the royal soon gripped his fruit in his hand once more- retracting his bio-mask once more and sniffing and staring at the red spiky orb within his grasp for several long moments before taking a sizable chomp into the fruit. For a few moments, it was as though Polarus was frozen in place- unmoving, not blinking, heck, it didn't even look like he was breathing for a couple seconds. Then, all the sudden, Polarus let out a yell as a gigantic column of flame blasting itself out of his mouth, the Arcosian throwing the fruit several hundred meters away into the city streets somewhere as he stood for several moments heaving out nothing but plumes of fire from within his throat- it was as though he had turned into a dragon of some sort.
Finally, after dunking his head back into the Hetap Aid for several more minutes, Polarus lifted himself out of the liquid- smoke unfurling from the corner of his bio-mask (he had closed it in the middle of his fire breathing as an attempt to halt the flames in their advance. It didn't work) as he said in a slightly miffed tone, "These so-called games seem to want nothing but to make a FOOL of me!"
Taking a seat next to Whisker at the table he had set him down at, he awaited the next challenge, feeling at his slightly burnt face and muttering some quiet profanities within his heated breath.
