Youthful vigor fills Yarrow to his brim. He has piercing dark eyes framed with thick brows, a sharp nose, and thin lips set in a perpetual condescending smirk. His face is squarish with a sturdy jaw and pockmarked with the scars of the many hard fought battles he endured in his past.
His hair is a wild mane of entangled locks as black as onyx, as thick and unruly as he often tends to be. He is tall with a lean, muscular build—the body of a hardened warrior who has endured much strife and suffering in his time. His tan, ruddy skin bears testament to the harsh environment of Vegeta he once grew up in.
As one of many Saiyans plying their fighting skills as a mercenary, his main attire consists of gray battle armor set over a red body suit with matching combat gloves.
Yarrow believes himself to be the quintessential Saiyan. He reached a fighting peak far earlier than most of his peers, and as such, stood apart as one of the race's elite warriors within his individual clan.
He bears the very pride that is the foundation of every strong, capable Saiyan—pride in his clan, pride in his people, and most importantly, pride in his own fighting strength. He craves power and values strength, and spends his days in a never ending cycle of conflict as he bounces from job to job without a proper rest or break.
He is highly competitive and doesn't like to lose. This tends to create a never ceasing flow of competitive rivals which only serve to force Yarrow to push himself farther than ever. He has always been a rebellious spirit, seeking to shirk whatever laws a society or culture seek to impose on him.
Yarrow believes himself to be the very answer the Saiyan people have needed to the many unspoken questions about their own futures. He believes it is his destiny to rise up and rival the strongest members of their race and establish a powerful movement—free of Namekian influence, and free of the heavy Arcosian control provided via the World Trade Fleet organization that many Saiyans tend to flock to.
While Yarrow seeks to recreate the vision and world of his people, he is not by any means a visionary. He is often prompted to act before he thinks, and thus finds himself in difficult situations without proper planning. Most of what he attempts to execute falls apart due to his lack of tact, and his failure to provide a proper vision to fill the void once he demolishes the current oppressive order causes many to fail to believe in him or follow in his steps.
This makes for a very lonely and bitter existence marked with unchecked aggression as he sometimes feels the entirety of the world is set against him.
From the moment he was born, the very moment his lungs filled with air, Yarrow let out a primal scream that heralded what was sure to be a long, arduous life.
Growing up as a child on Planet Vegeta, he was a bully to the other children and quite unruly. His penchant to create conflict wherever he went led him to get into a lot of fights with the other youth of his family's clan, often leaving him a broken heap upon the ground.
These beatings only served to stoke the fiery passion within him, and it was not long before Yarrow was one of the most feared children around. It wasn't due to his size or strength, but the tenacity which he displayed in always landing the final punch to end a scuffle.
Desperate to curb his rambunctious behavior—a bit too much, even by Saiyan standards—the elders of his clan began to teach him to fight. He studied and fought under various veteran warriors, each leaving him more bloodied and bruised than the last. Yarrow relished in this pain—it made him feel alive. He was a natural at fighting, though his form was terrible. Still he possessed enough raw talent to continue his training well into his teenage years.
Upon turning the age of sixteen, Yarrow had his first brush with the World Trade Fleet. A pair of common foot soldiers had ordered him to surrender the goods he'd just purchased at a local market, but Yarrow refused to surrender to them. They sought to force the matter, a fight ensued, and one of the foot soldiers were killed in the aftermath.
Yarrow sought to remain with his people, but the elders feared a vicious reprisal and urged the youth to travel abroad. Yarrow was reluctant to agree, but under the cover of night, a pair of elders purchased his ticket off of Vegeta by bribing a WTF soldier willing to hide him aboard his vessel. What better place to hide a fugutive than right under the noses of the enemy fleet?
Upon leaving the planet, the foot soldier stopped at a space port, abandoning the Saiyan youth there. Yarrow snuck his way onto a different transport ship—this one headed for the Planet Earth. A full weak later, completely dehydrated and on the brink of starving, he arrived on Planet Earth.
A couple of years passed, and he barely scraped by with the occasional kind stranger offering him an odd job for much needed money. During one of these jobs in which he was due to deliver a package between cities, he happened upon East City—or more specifically, the Tenkaichi Budokai.
He was fascinated to see so many strong warriors in one place, and using his earnings from the deliver, paid the entree fee to enter the tournament. It felt as if he'd found his calling, and Earth no longer became his place of exile but the start of a brand new path. He is a regular tournament fighter and occasionally hires out his services to the right buyer, most of those jobs consisting of bodyguarding wealthy nobles and rich merchants.
Yarrow has never forgotten his ultimate goal—to become one of the strongest of his face, and some day will seek to return to Planet Vegeta for the sole purpose of her ultimate liberation.
