After a long journey through space he finally woke up. His eyes shot open to see Earth outside the red tinted window of his spaceship. Cress grinned, finally he was back after... how long had he been sleep for? It looked like his pod had taken a while to get back. Dammit he says, cursing under his breath. Though visibly upset, he sat in place and let his pod land as it usually did: quickly and hard. The spaceship struck the landmass known as Yunzabit Heights, leaving a crater sprawling out from where it landed. Needless to say, he wasted no time getting the hatch open. First things first he thought, activating his scouter in an attempt to find his comrades.
After a while of messing with it and hastily repeating the same steps he grew frustrated with his scouter, thinking it was malfunctioning. He could still get a hold of Scallio though, so that'd be who he called. If Scallio answered the call, he'd hear a familiar voice. Hey Scallio, how's the mission coming along? My ship took a while to get back.

115,254 PL Scallio watched the Saiyan's name flash across his ship's holographic display with mild irritation, the call couldn't have come in at a worst time. He was neither in the mood nor prepared to deal with anything related to the plans Vocado had set in motion prior to his death. Quite frankly he had almost ignored Cress's call on those grounds alone but he found himself hesitating to hit decline. Some piece of himself wanted to answer, partially to yell at Cress for failing to show when he was need but also because he was curious. Eager even, to find out what had been so important that Cress hadn't come to aid them on Mt.Frappe. It was a bad idea, answering the call, but despite his reservations Scallio impulsively hit accept.
The casual demeanor of Cress's voice brought a frown to the mercenary's face but he said nothing, remaining silent as he toyed with the idea of hanging up. "Mission?" Scallio replied with a dry laugh, "There isn't a team anymore Cress, let alone a mission." he wasn't surprised that Cress was ignorant of Vocado and Kalabas's deaths. Scallio wondered how the man would react to the news. He imagined it be with the same nonchalant attitude that he'd seen Cress express on most of their dealings with one another but he'd find out soon enough. The mercenary cleared his throat and leaned forward in his chair, a heavy expression falling upon his face as he informed the Saiyan of their teammate's deaths.
"Vocado and Kalabas are dead, the only ones left of Vocado's hit squad are you and me."

With Scallio's tone, Cress didn't assume the worst when he heard that there was no more team. In his head he assumed that they had broken up during his time away. Thoughts raced through his mind, if he'd stayed would it have changed their minds? Was he at fault? He tightened his fist. Wh- Before he could start to ask why Scallio followed up by telling him that his comrades, his brothers were dead. The shock he felt quickly turned to anger- no, rage.
WHAT?!?!?!?!
His aura exploded and lashed out at the land surrounding him as if they were the ones who'd brought upon his brothers deaths. A spike in power followed, his power level soared near three millions. Had his scouter not been made for situations like these, it would have been destroyed and their call ended. It did a good job at transmitting and giving Scallio a good idea of the destruction happening. Before he calmed down the area around him was in ruins, and he was left standing at the epicenter of a massive crater. The air around him was no longer cold, but scorching hot.
If he were stronger, he probably could've ascended even further... but he was far from strong enough. Who did it? I'll have their heads!
Cress transforms into USSJ and bulks up. He will revert back to MSSJ next post.

115,254 PL Cress's reaction had been an unexpected one, Scallio hadn't realized the other Saiyan had cared so deeply for Vocado and Kalabas. The vibe he'd gotten from Cress had never hinted at him holding a particular strong connection with the pair. Obviously Scallio had been wrong in that assumption, but he couldn't rule out the possibility that this was merely an act. Scallio frowned and leaned back, propping his elbow up on the arm of his chair and resting his cheek against the palm of his hand.
"Interesting choice of words," the mercenary said dryly, "considering you already reduced their killer to ash." if only Carro's death had stuck. "It was the president of Earth, Carro Hofferson." there was a bitterness to Scallio's voice and twinge of pain in his right arm at the mention of the Earthling. "But now it's mine turn for questions Cress." Scallio said, his brow furrowing slightly in anger.
"Where the fuck were you while we were fighting for our lives?" he gritted his teeth "Because if it hadn't been for Kayen's intervention, I wouldn't be having this conversation with you right now. I'd burning in hell right alongside our comrades." Scallio didn't bother to hide the anger in his voice.
"We called and you didn't answer. So you better have damn good reason explanation for your absence."

What? What does he mean already reduced their killer to ash. Was it a ghost back from the dead? The questions in his head at the time were answered by Scallio when bringing up a familiar name; Carro Hofferson. President, or former president, of Earth. This brought up even more questions. How was this runt back? Was his will strong enough to escape death itself and come back as a ghost? Impossible. He'd removed all traces of him as well, this had to be some sort of clone- an impostor maybe. He had more questions for Scallio, but he was hit with some of his own.
I was fighting for my life as well! Hell, I barely escaped with it! He tightened his fist. I took it upon myself to destroy Namek after it's leader decided to intervene in our mission. I was met with some resistance, notably the King of Konats, wielder of some technique that drastically increases your power. It was higher than any I'd ever seen. He almost sliced me in two, but I made it out and destroyed him and the planet.
He thought back to what Scallio had said before he gave his explanation, he only made it out due to Kayen's intervention? What? Wasn't Kayen against their cause? Or did she turn a new leaf. I take it you made some sort of deal with Kayen so you would be spared. Last time we talked she wasn't too happy about my activities. What all happened that day?

115,254 PL Scallio grew silent, stunned and struggling to wrap his head around the bombshell that Cress had just dropped onto his lap. "That's..." astounding? Crazy? He wasn't sure what word to use but he knew that Cress couldn't be lying. It be too easy to check and see if Namek was still standing and it wouldn't due his fellow Saiyan any good to lie in the first place. "I don't know whether to be furious that you made a play that big without letting us know, or impressed that you actually managed to pull it off." Scallio said with a frown. He had more questions, tons of questions, but before he could ask them Cress inquired about Kayen.
"You could look it at like that I suppose." he replied "Kayen seems to have a vested interest in keeping me alive and within her ranks." which he appreciated but he still had difficulty understanding why. "She wasn't necessarily in support of my alliance with Vocado but she gave me a chance to walk away and I took it." but only after the haze of rage from his ascension had managed to clear. "As for what happened, well, I ran into trouble on contract dealing with an Arcosian on Mount Frappe. The lizard in question pushed me to my limits and..." Scallio grew quiet for a moment. The memory of Narissa frozen in ice flashed before his eyes and he felt his body tense.
"I transformed into a Super Saiyan but I was wounded, Vocado must have sensed I was in danger and he came to my aide alongside Kalabas. Unfortunately Vocado's arrival and the gathering of so much power brought Earth's defenders to us and they overwhelmed us. We were forced to split up to deal with them and Vocado ended facing more odds than he could handle. Kalabas on the other hand might of survived the encounter had he not attempted to level the planet, forcing Earth's defenders to kill him." that was a gest of what had happened on the mountain. Scallio had left out quite a bit of information but none of it had been anything that Cress would find useful or important.

I didn't do it alone. He wasn't afraid or ashamed to announce that he had some help. The Stargoons were there to face off against the other defenders that showed up after I secured a deal with them. They seemed real keen on not killing anyone we fought. I had to fight Mumbo at the end to finish them off.
Scallio went on to give him a bit of information about Kayen and some details on the fight. Dammit. He tightened his fist, looking down at the scarred earth beneath him caused by his little fit of rage earlier. Were there some losses on the other side, at least? He hoped that they'd taken a few opponents out before they bit the dust. That'd mean less trouble for him moving forward.
Kayen wants Earth not to be involved in galactic affairs. If history says anything you'd know even with a leader the people will still run off to defend others. A lot of them think they are 'heroes' after all. No deal with their president will stop them. Cress paused for a second. By the time she told me of the deal I'd already killed the president. She may be afraid of how our people would react. It's not like her telling me would have changed anything, though. She's too scared to act, even with the numbers behind her. She kept you around because she thinks you aren't as stubborn as I am, presumably.
He sighed.
I don't think we're going to be able to make the wish at this rate. I'm going to launch one final attack and kill Chime to get rid of the dragon balls. If we can't win I'm going to at least stop the damage from being undone. If you want to help you can. I'll cover your escape if any others show up.

115,254 PL "So you involved the Stargoons in all of this as well?" if that was the case then that meant his mother was also involved in the destruction of Namek. Scallio frowned, did that mean she'd really come to Mount Frappe to act as an distraction? Someone to keep the heroes busy on Earth while the rest of her team went with Cress to reduce Namek to rubble. He'd have to ask her, plus it be a good way to confirm the validity of everything Cress had told him so far.
"They lost someone named Yogu or I think that was his anyway." there was one other lost and thinking about it made Scallio's stomach twist into a knot. He still felt partially to blame for Nashua's death, it was his battle with Aurora that had called all those people to one location, that had cost both Vocado and Nashua their lives. "Someone else besides Vocado and Yogu also died but I'm not sure which side you'd put her on." he said with a sigh.
"Nashua also died and I'm told Vocado was the one to kill her. But only after she'd shielded him from a blow that been meant to take her life." something that didn't settle right with the mercenary. He'd back an unstable and chaotic man in his bid for power, one that had no issue killing someone who was willing to die for them. Yet at the same time, Vocado had come to aide Scallio in his fight against Aurora. He was conflicted on how to feel about the now deceased prince.
Scallio's tempered flared, "Kayen isn't scared." he said with mild frustration. "You're right that she doesn't want Earth involved in galactic affairs, but she's not afraid of Earth or its people." she hadn't given Scallio that impression when they'd spoken on the topic at least. Did Cress have a point though? She had been awful keen on doing as Carro suggested back on Mount Frappe. Was Kayen bowing to Earth or trying to keep them complacent while she moved forward with her plans for conquest? He frowned heavily but settled on Cress being wrong, for now.
"It's best if we rule out trying to wish for the tree. We'd either to be a lot stronger than we are now or a miracle to get all of the Dragon Balls, besides, I'm fairly certain they took the ones that Vocado had on him when he died." but that's what Cress wanted to do. His fellow Saiyan had been well aware of the pointlessness of attempting to wish for the Tree of Might. What he wanted to do instead was kill someone named Chime and put an end to the Dragon Balls. Scallio looked on confused, "Is that even possible?" he thought, it didn't seem like something that could happen.
"I don't understand. What do you mean by get rid of the Dragon Balls? How is killing one person suddenly going to make them unusable." Cress clearly had access to some piece of information that Scallio was lacking about the orbs. "You explain that to me first and we can talk about me helping you pull it off."
