With all the new work being done for the temple and the recent battles he had been apart of it was fair to say Reno was being quite the busy rat. So much so that it was only now after some time that he had been able to check in on Lao, the street fighter he had met by chance and perhaps the only other human he had ever met that was even remotely powerful. In fact if not for his chance meeting with Typha and Suri Reno would have thought he was perhaps the strongest earthling around. A grim reminder on just how far he was behind in personal strength, he was not the first human reaching super human heights but rather just another following the footsteps of another. No he was in a race he was not even aware he was in and worst of all he was not even in the running for first place.
Thankfully just as he had helped Lao before he hoped by gathering others and training together he might also reach further heights, it was to this end he was searching for the street fighter. With the completion of the dojo he had the perfect place for him and others to train together, a place to share their lessons and skills in hopes of reaching the heights as warriors he had heard about. At this point anything was worth a shot in order to overcome that helpless feeling he had at the mountain vs the duke, his portion of the fight being virtually pointless in the end. Shaking his head he shot over the city looking for his target, a task that seemed to elude his troubled mind.
It was not till he was nearly over him that he finally felt the familiar ki he had felt in his first meeting with the man, a rough energy filled only what he could describe as excitement. The mans excitement seemed endless even compared to his own and that was perhaps why he felt the man had improved immensely in such a short time, to such a degree it was fair to say the man had improved even faster then he had. He did not know if he should be happy or frustrated by the man's growth as he quickly was catching up to him. Maybe he could use it to his own advantage and propel his own growth? Regardless with the man's new strength it was easy to pick him out of so many and he wondered why he had even had trouble in the first place, the gingers floating form drifting closer until he was floating just over the street the man was in. The man's tattered gi making him easy to spot out of the mob of people, his unkempt appearance a stark contrast to his own.
"Long time no see Lao! Not sure if you remember me but I came with a offer I think you might be interested in?" he announced as he got closer to the man, his introduction being quite sudden but other then his love of fighting Reno knew very little of the man. It was perhaps best to be straight forward about what he wanted and it only made sense as the man himself had acted the very same way when he had meet Reno, the mans fumbling way of asking for a spar coming to mind as he recalled the encounter. Reno was sure it would not end the same way if they got into another match and a small part of him wanted to try anyways, a keen interest on just how far the man had progressed since their last meeting. Did he ever got to the monks for help like he had suggested or had he tried to go further on his own? Regardless he wanted the man to help with his own training it was only a matter if he could get the man to join him or not, a issue he did not think would take much effort on his part if he knew anything about Loa's love for fighting.
