Thread PL: 14,000 | Gravity Level: x10
As the terrain shifted, grass gaining a bluish tint and cliffs, chasms, and overhangs starting to become commonplace, Kara knew she'd entered the stretch of land known as the Yunzabit Heights. It was uninhabited, save for wild predators and potential aliens who had either crashed or come seeking reprieve in the barren wasteland. This place was known to many as the "end of the Earth", and for good reason. The environment was bitterly cold, and the constant gales and storms it stirred up only served to make it more hostile. It was closest you could get to arctic terrain without actually traveling to the Land of Ice itself... and thus it made for a perfect training ground. The fact that not many other fighters or warriors came here, preferring other locations like the Gizard Wastes, only helped cement it as a perfect spot for Kara. She was still relatively weak and diminutive, so for the most part isolation away from the real heavy hitters was a pretty solid plan.
And this time, her training could be even more intense - a combination of saved change and side jobs had let Kara get her hands on a gravity belt, the machine a well-respected piece of equipment that increased the effects of gravity on whoever wears it. Hers happened to be a Capsule Corp. model, built like a seemingly normal belt with an indicator screen on the front. The Earthling wasn't entirely sure how increasing gravity on your body helped make you stronger faster, but a lot of people seemed to do it and make it genuinely work, so there wasn't any harm in trying! Plus, she even got a warranty and a thirty-day money-back guarantee! So here she was, standing at the bottom of a ravine, shoes getting soggy from the crick she was standing in, and clipping on her gravity belt for the first time.
"...Huh?." Kara wasn't sure what exactly she was expecting, but just the sound of it clicking into place and nothing else wasn't it. "Well, that's a bit of a letdown. I thought it'd be way cooler than-" A sudden force feel upon Kara, the human sputtering as her knees wobbled and her back hunched. Whereas she felt completely fine before, it was now like someone had taken the liberty of supergluing minature twenty-pound weights to every spot on her body. It wasn't completely debilitating, and after a minute or two of adjusting to the sudden weight, Kara could move again. Albeit, move with a bit more difficulty than walking ever had a right to be, but that was the point of things in the first place. "O-ok! Cool!" She huffed, making her way to the rock wall. "Training time begins now!"
