|| Desmond's PL: 4,000 || Desmond has the Anti-Sense trait ||
It had been a day or so since Desmond’s informative and educational formal encounter with three little tech tykes of the W.A.R.S project; Simi, Litho and Catus. Having properly interacted with entities similarly built to eventually combine into a singular being much like his own project, Desmond found himself gaining a wealth of insight by seeing the three in action. Unfortunately both the W.A.R.S and Tri-Core component androids had not been able to tap into or properly utilize their conceptualized merging functionalities. In both cases (as far as Desmond was aware outside of the Tri-Core project) all interlocking parts were present, and in theory could operate as intended, yet clearly something integral was still missing for either group.
Due to the predicament, Desmond would have to seek aid both for his own sake and on behalf of Simi, Litho and Catus. One thing was clear— they definitely needed Carro’s input on these issues.
As if by the grace of the Kais, such a prayer was... ‘Answered’ to a degree. Since his pseudo-demise and subsequent ‘incognito mode’ initiative as it was called among employees that were ‘in the know’ so to speak, Carro had been able to get something similar to free time as far as Desmond could tell. It was rough and the timing could have been better but in stressful times such as these, people would have to take what they got in terms of opportunities. So, taking the chance he was given, Desmond sent Carro a message.
Howdy Carro, if you have any spare time at all today, I am in need of assistance at my hangar. I will be there all day, so if you can drop by feel free to whenever.
I have made some decent headway with the project though there are things that are still eluding me as I go forward. I cannot quite get the merging mechanism to fire and initiate the fusion. The members of the W.A.R.S project; Simi, Litho and Catus also seem to be unable to initiate their own similar functions either, so if at all possible I would like some insight so that I may perhaps help them out in the future myself if you are unavailable.
Thanks. - D.S.
Now all he had to do was wait; and to pass the time he once again followed his usual work procedure and began to theory craft once more, looking through the glass into the wider bay as the prototypes of his project roamed and interacted with each other every now and then. Even that much alone managed to bring something of a proud smile to his face.

AT THE CORE OF THE PROBLEM
CARRO's PL: 100 (ANTISENSE) || LEO 100 (SUPPRESSED / x9P / 200k BASE)
Carro let the others who knew of his condition believe he had "free time" if it made them feel more at ease. He did have free time, technically. It was just that he used that personal time as time to work instead of anything else regardless of his mechanized state and emotional turmoil. There were more important things he had to do first before he could even think of lying down. Perhaps his inability to sleep was a blessing in disguise...
The former saiyan was flipping through some files at King's Castle when a ping echoed in his head, causing him to momentarily jolt and yelp in alarm. He didn't think he'd ever get used to having a hard drive, along with messaging capabilities in his mind. He shook his head, flipping open his messages with just a thought, eyeing his coworker's email as it splashed across his vision...
Not even a full minute later after sending it Carro's way, Desmond would get a response. > I got time now. LEO and I have something that might be able to help. On my way, we can discuss further in person!
There was a new fusion in Crop Co's ranks, after all.
Soon enough, a familiar set of metallic footsteps could be heard echoing in Desmond's hangar... "'Sup," A familiar voice called out there was no visible giant cat to accompany them at first. A ripple in the air revealed the mecha's form as she deactivated her cloaking protocols, once-reflective and nigh invisible form clear as day. She and Carro had to be discreet when they were both supposed to be corpses. Carro propped open one of the panels on the side of LEO's face, poking his floating head out of hiding. This was the first time he'd been face-to-face with Desmond in his... new form. Lingering paranoia made him worried that his coworker would be unnerved by his state.
No, no, he could worry later. Work first. "W-we came as quick as we could!" The robot quipped, sliding out of LEO's hull while the feline straightened herself, yawning wide while idly peering into the glass nearby. "I, uh, was sure to grab some extra supplies in case we need to do some heftier tune-ups, also." He tossed a small capsule in the air containing some of his own personal supplies. "A-anyways. U-uh. Down to business." He clasped his hands together, quickly defaulting into his usual work mindset. "Do you have any idea what could be causing the errors with the merging mechanism?"
LEO's [UT2] SOULBOUND is passively active along with LIFE LINK (x9P). [UT1] Ki Suppression reduces her PL to 100, and she CAN be sensed as per usual!
LEO's [SU1] Dud is flavorfully used to render her invisible with her approach. For timeline consistency, this all takes place prior to Carro revealing he's not dead to Earth's public as well!

Desmond kept whistling away as he worked until a notification pinged him only about a minute or so later. Okay, so Carro did imply that he had more free time, but enough to reply within a minute? If anything he expected Carro would have responded within the hour. This was somewhat odd for Desmond to experience. Was he worried? Honestly he wasn’t sure how he felt! “... Huh. Well I’ll be.” Shelving that jumbled thought for now, Desmond moved to write down, collate, and organize all of his findings so that he could professionally get down to business upon Carro’s arrival.
A few minutes after he was satisfied with what he had, Desmond heard the clanking of extra metallic steps inside the hangar proper. He had been watching his trio of prototypes and the steps did not match theirs! Carro’s voice followed soon after to confirm his presence and arrival with LEO. Noting this, Desmond nodded to signal he saw them and scooped up his findings, quickly bringing them out of the upper viewing office and down into the hangar itself. Approaching with a polite smile, Desmond gave the dynamic duo a quick wave. “Hello, hello— no worries, I appreciate that you both took your time. I needed some time to get my notes together in a digestible and concise format that would be easier to understand. Thanks for bringing extra tools’n’parts though, that’ll be a great help should we need it!”
Desmond nodded once more as he began to set up everything. Time to get down to business. “Right.” He began, taking a moment to figure out his starting point. Once he had an idea, he pressed a button on his little mobile hologram projector and it showed the thus far upgraded schematics of the three Tri-Core component units as well as some analysis data on their performance. “As you can see here in their data, individual performance is pretty high for era two beta prototypes, I’ve made sure to document schematic changes and upgrades to the letter as you advised at the start of the project, and it’s helped a great deal. So the thing is, their physical components link up perfectly in the simulation space.” Desmond pressed another button on his projector and it showed just that, a simulation of the trio merging into one unit, and everything matched up properly.
“We have tried to do so in reality, and their mode changes and preparation stages can activate, but nothing further happens, the main fusion mechanism in their cores doesn’t ignite.” He explained, swiping the hologram to reveal in depth wavelength analysis for each prototype, coded in their colours for easy viewing. “Something I’ve noticed that stands out, is these.” Motioning to the wavelengths, to the untrained eye, the three strings of data would look identical, but for those gathered in the hangar, it was clear that a few things weren’t quite right. After a moment, the hologram display pinpointed the subtle wave differences across the three in a bright red and proper synchronicity in blue. “It looks like their individual core resonance waves aren’t interacting properly.”
Desmond tapped his chin. “I theorise that the solution would be to normalize the waves across them all, but I reckon that would ruin their thus far individually developed personalities, which I would rather not do, but I can’t think of another solution.” He sighed, giving a nod to Carro and LEO. “What’re your thoughts?”
Meanwhile, the absentminded movements of the three prototypes halted, and the three of them slowly approached LEO in particular. The bronze giraffe, silver pegasus and golden unicorn, at the moment the majority of their outer plating was missing and stored in their own sub-hangars for now.
The three of them made whirring beeps and disjointed words of different pitches and tones respectively. The bronze giraffe prototype’s vocal projector whirred a bit more and they spoke clearer than before, there was a very subtle chipper yet nervous undertone. “HE-LL-O...” They greeted, about as quietly as they could manage at the moment. “AM. C-AM.” ‘CAM’ slowly looked towards their comrades, the pegasus and unicorn as if to point them out. “M-ON… P-EG.”
Desmond noted the interaction while conversing with Carro, and couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride.

CARRO's PL: 100 (ANTISENSE) || LEO 100 (SUPPRESSED / x9P / 200k BASE) ------------------------------- FUSED CARRO: 100 (SET)
Carro breathed a metaphorical sigh of relief- Desmond didn't seem to mind his mechanical state. Or at least, if he was discomforted he was good at hiding it. Still, all of this felt like a normal day at work, something more common back before he'd stuck his nose in defending Earth and facing danger after danger after danger. It was refreshing- if it weren't for the constant fish-eye vision his facial screen gave him, he could have been fooled into thinking he was a human again and this was a normal day. He leaned in, standing on his tip-toes to see the displays Desmond described. Though the three should have been able to fuse in theory, something was preventing such in execution. "Hmm..." Carro tapped his chin. Troubleshooting could always be a chore, and the tried and true "turn it on and off again" strategy wouldn't be ideal, as Desmond said that normalizing their cores would reset their personalities- an undesirable fate for their giant robot friends. "I wouldn't suppose you have any idea what's causing the variations?" He sighed, still in thought. "My first thought is to maybe try to create some conduits to filter their core wavelengths, but there is a chance that would cause problems with their personality when fused together." An additional attachment would leave the unfused androids' developed personalities alone, but artificial altering could potentially cause problems when they were fused if they weren't careful. Meanwhile, LEO turned to her fellow three Plexroids, lowering her head and eyeing the trio. Clearly the giraffe's vocal modulator needed some tune-ups still, but her fellow android seemed chipper ever still. "And I am LEO, as you likely know." She nodded to the three after their introductions. "It is a pleasure to meet you three in person." She chirped back with a bow of her head, respectful as ever to her brethren. Carro was still trying to think more on a fix to the trio's fusion problem. "My Life Link with LEO is uh, a bit similar to fusion on its own... B-but we do have uh, some new skills now-- perhaps a demonstration for them can help?" He glanced back up to his partner with his implications. LEO raised a brow, but nodded when she realized what her partner was proposing. "An example surely can't hurt. Desmond, if it is possible to refocus the scanners onto Carro and I for a moment, I would do so." She spoke with a smug smile. Their own fusing capability had been yet to be revealed to the public- the only person on Earth who knew thus far was Carro's own father. The core on Carro's chest pulsed with a green glow alongside the orange one on LEO's torso as the feline's body was engulfed in light, flickering like a formless flame rather than the metal she was made of. One bright pulse of light thereafter her form almost seemed to dissolve, and standing in the wake of the blinding flash was a familiar figure standing in Carro's wake, with world-shattering power detectable within that was expertly controlled and contained. Strikingly reminiscent of the President's human form was a blazing figure, with hair that flickered like a flame and 'ears' that jutted out like LEO's. The android's entire body seemed to be coated in energy, looking as if it were set aflame- though the fire held a tranquility to it with its slow flickers, more akin to the soothing warmth of a fireplace rather than a devastating wildfire. Mismatched green and orange eyes looked to Desmond and the three other Plexroids. Quickly suppressing their power, the fully-fledged fusion glanced back to the group. "....Tadaaaa!" Carro threw his hands in the air. Though his own voice held prominence, LEO's could be heard echoing in unison with his.
Carro and LEO fuse! Their PL is briefly detectable as their staggering maximum of 5,201,716 PL with Soulbound (x22P) and Max Overdrive (+x4T) active! -------------------------- Shortly after fusion they set their PL to 100 with [UT2] Ki Setting, though.

|| Desmond's PL: 4,000 || Desmond has the Anti-Sense trait ||
Desmond too had a moment of more internalized relief, but he kept his smile firm and genuine. He already figured Carro would have been getting potentially dodgy looks from some people that were in the know. In all honesty Desmond was glad Carro was still around. Even if Carro himself was not on the level of power that some had, he was strong in his own right in Desmond’s opinion, and was always Carro in the end so there was no reason to treat him any different.
Should Carro have needed it, Desmond would either lower or tilt the displays when appropriate for the sake of clarity. Patiently awaiting input from Carro, Desmond looked over the information himself in case he may have had a breakthrough out of the blue. “I’ve got a few theories, but I’ve at least ruled out their first initialization from way back— if anything I do reckon it’d help as they were all initialized at the exact same time.” Desmond stroked his chin idly as Carro made his suggestion. It was risky but it could be serviceable... “Hmm. I suppose it’d depend on the form of conduit yeah? The way it’s currently intended to work is like a centrifuge that has three nodes where their individual cores go that ultimately mixes their power into a fourth central node... Which as I said ain’t firin’. Maybe their systems are already predictin’ that it’s suboptimal or could cause a wider system error or inefficient power leakage?” Desmond theorized, looking to his three companions. “It’s a shame they can’t articulate that without many vocal drawbacks just yet if it is indeed the case. Until they all properly stabilize their vocal components, all I’ve got to work with is the data itself.”
Continued positive whirrs and beeps of various tones came from the prototype trio. The unicorn ‘MON’ seemed the most ready to approach LEO and almost get right in front of her face with their own. Tilting their head they closely examined LEO, seemingly they were looking at the lion’s structural integrity as if they were trying to learn something. After doing so they stepped back and gave off facial signals and lights that indicated a positive reaction and the vague shape of a smile. The pegasus ‘PEG’ slowly approached afterwards took a confident stance that displayed their best features, which could have been seen as a way to show off until they looked at LEO, craning their neck towards her as if to ask her to do something similar.
CAM on the other hand observed, and his vocal components being the most operational and advanced they slowly tried to communicate in place of their comrades “AAAA-A-AAAA AA...” Well, okay, it would take a second to load properly, but the idea was to warm up the vocal hardware to allow at least a few sentences of unbroken speech that was not nearly as janky. “Designation; MON is a rescue oriented individual. Checks structural integrity, defends friends. Designation; PEG is a combat oriented individual. Checks ally potential, fights foes.” For a moment, the giraffe Plexroid stalled and did another vocal warmup. “Designation; CAM is a tactically oriented individual. Brings operation together as an extra set of eyes. Creates bonds, is the core unit.”
With that, the three of them lined up next to each other and returned a respectful bow to LEO. “N-ICE MEET Y-OU FUL-LY.” CAM spoke, and MON and PEG followed up with a solid ‘EEEEE’ as a form of agreement.
The theory and science behind the Life Link was incredibly interesting to Desmond. As far as he knew, and what little had so far been shown of it in public, it was already incredibly powerful. The stunning thought was that It was still not at full potential. As a man of science, Desmond would be doing his craft a disservice to say no to Carro and LEO's offer! “Sure, I don't see the problem with that!” Desmond gave the duo a confident nod. Looking to his own three Plexroids, he gave them a nod as well and indicated that they should do their best to pay attention while he reconfigured the scanning mechanisms within the hangar to point their way towards Carro and LEO.
After configuring the setup properly, Desmond gave Carro and LEO a green light with a thumbs up, eager to see what they were going to show off. Desmond and his trio of Plexroids watched with increasing levels of excitement. Along with Desmond, PEG in particular was almost vibrating on the spot with excitement at something so cool where CAM and MON were more measured in displaying their (still very high levels) of excitement. “Now that is the bees knees!!” Desmond exclaimed while his comrades whirred in glorious approval. “It'll take a short while for the readings to come in, but the system seems responsive, which means your output didn't manage to overload it, which is a great start!”
