He had landed on Gemini B roughly a day ago but the majority of that time had been spent aboard his spaceship. Eager as he was to put his plan into motion, without the back up he'd been hoping for, he couldn't risk moving forward without the proper preparations. If only Narissa were still around to help, things always moved faster with her making sure he didn't forget anything. Scallio frowned at the thought of her before quickly pushing the Heran from his mind. He couldn't afford to get distraction right now, not even by her, not when he was so close to his goal.
Scallio descended down the Rusted Wrench's docking ramp and into the welcomed heat of Gemini's red desert. He took a deep breath through his nose and the smell of volcanic ash filled his nostrils. This was only his first time on Gemini and yet he felt a strong connection with the world. Everything about the planet spoke to him, from it's arid wastelands and scorching heat, to it's volcanic mountains and red hue. He couldn't explain the reasoning behind but being on Gemini felt right to him. "A good sign." he thought, turning to face the squadron of Crimson Apes gathered on the ramp behind him.
The squadron, lightly armored, was comprised of two males Saiyans, a female Kabochan, and a male Brench-seijin hybrid. Scallio had selected all but the hybrid to assist him with recon at random. He'd chosen the Brench-seijin for the obvious reasons, their race and familiarity with the planet, which would make him particularly useful for navigating the planet. "We're just scout things out and get a lay of the land, so no fighting for now." he turned back around as he finished speaking and took off northward, remaining relatively close to the ground as he flew.
Scallio had spotted a small outpost several clicks north of them as they were making planetfall. He'd made the deliberate choice to land in the desert several miles off from the outpost, he didn't want them spying on him after all. When he and his men arrived, however, they were surprised to find the outpost in ruins and littered with corpses. The mercerny frowned and touched down in the middle of camp. "This isn't a good." he said, staring at the bodies on the ground with a mixture of mild irritation and curiosity. "Fan out and search for clues. We need to know what happened here." Scallio ordered and his men moved to different corners of the outpost to investigate.
Scallio walked to one of the corpses near him and knelt down over top of it. He turned the body over onto its back and he had to hold himself back from gagging at the level of damage that had been done it. Scallio couldn't tell if the corpse was male or female, it had taken too damage to the face, which had been torn to shreds by what he assumed was claws. "What in the world." he muttered and moved his eyes further down the corpse. The armor it was wearing while damage had remained intact enough for Scallio to make out the symbol emblazoned on the chest.
"So this was a Kingdom outpost." this really wasn't good and not only for Scallio but for Kayen as well. Kingdom soldiers weren't exactly easy targets to takedown and yet someone or something had managed to tear through a whole camp of them. The Saiyan frowned and contained his examination of the corpse but it was much of a mess for him to make anything else of importance out. He stood, "I have to find whatever did this and put a stop to them. Maybe there's a town or another outpost nearby that could help me narrow down my search." Scallio muttered and folded his arms against his chest in thought.
