Bamboo was more then happy to help out her buddies on Konats!
Bamboo was less then enthused to find the planet covered in sand.
It was a long journey- well, not that long, but Bamboo's attention span left much to be desired. The marvel of outer space, the twinkling of the stars, the foreign planets just waiting to be explored... got boring after the first five or ten minutes. It took all of Bamboo's self-preservation instinct to not steer her ship directly into a star for a change of pace.
Speaking of, her ship wasn't in good shape. She'd already crashed the thing into Namek, and it was a miracle it was able to work after that. She was really pushing the boundaries of what was technologicaly possible with how battered her ship was. She'd even used it as a baseball in the last week. She barely even knew how to operate the control panel. Sometimes the ship made funny noises when she pushed buttons.
Nonetheless, she made it.
Kinda.
The ship got to Konats just fine- the landing was very not fine. The ship, on it's last legs, practically burned up in the atmosphere, leaving Bamboo to free fall, surrounded by flaming debris, directly into the middle of a foreign desert on a foreign land. The cloud of sand she kicked up could be seen for miles. It was almost like a comet hit the side of the planet.
Miraculously, she didn't ram herself into the middle of a city. Double miraculously, she was very alive. Triple miraculously, she wasn't particularly distraught by her fall.
Once her initial dizziness wore off, she got on all fours and shook like a dog, pieces of singed clothes and one of her horns flying off in whatever direction she pleased. She was bleeding pretty bad, but the wounds were already beginning to heal as she got to her feet
She kicked a random dune of sand. "Dammit! I hate sand!"
Despite her protests, she began to stomp through the desert, determined to locate the nearest civilization. What'd she come here for, again? The pod ride had probably damaged her brain, or something. It was just so boring.
Eh, she'd figure it out. For now, she needed to find a less sandy place.
