Ah, the Gizard wastelands. A place where many a legendary battle have been fought, with some holding even the very fate of the planet's future within it's grasp. But today, it simply was another area for Dion to train within. He found it incredibly odd how he, or anyone else that he had come to know barely used such an iconic area to train within. Mostly it was either mountains, or desert dunes, and seeing as he's had his fill of mountaintop training for at least the next couple months, and he already trained within a desert not so long ago and nearly fell to what his own imagination had wrought upon him, Dion thought it'd be best to choose a simpler location for now. And so, he found himself back in the Gizard wastelands for the second time. The first time he had come here he had attempted to test out Super Saiyan in an isolated area- seeing as he lacked a bit of Ki control within the elevated state that he was sure he could work out the kinks in. In fact, that was how he supposed he could break through to the next level he had yet to reach or scratch the surface of. But again, this was all conjecture and assumption, nothing that he could prove without either hearing it from someone else or proving it in action himself.
And seeing as there weren't many others he knew or trusted to give him the information needed, Dion decided that it was probably best that he go with his latter option.
So, once he had properly showered and dressed himself in his gravity training suit (it doubled as his regular training outfit as well, seeing as he didn't wanna spend money on a Gi completely set aside for training) Dion immediately bee-lined it for the wastelands just out and around North City. It didn't take him too long of a flight- he was feeling quite excited to test himself out, if he could toot his own horn for a bit, and so once touched down within an area he thought could work well enough, the fledgling Super Saiyan was all but ready to give it a go.
But, just as he had done away with the warm ups, and was about to jump into some intense training exercises, he felt immediately halted by a strange and sudden lack of inspiration. Stopping, he looked down at his hands, patting himself all around, incredibly confused as to where this suddenly drought of hesitancy came from. Finally, it struck him- perhaps it had been the lack of training partners to spar with?
It had been a bit since he was within the mountain situation, but he didn't exactly count as "training". That was being put to the test in real time, a testament to how much he had been putting in. He saw training as something completely different all together, and as for how long it's been since then, the last time he could think of was the time wherein Reno had introduced them all to the Dojo of which they were all welcome to use.
...He should use that, Reno didn't spend all that money for nothing, right-
Anyways, moving on from his mindless musings, Dion was quick to realize though that if he didn't find a way to remedy such a situation, that he'd soon enough start to get lazy and complacent. Two things that he very well could not afford after such a life changing event. So, seeing as it had been a while since he had last contacted him and he felt slightly bad, Dion immediately thought of calling his friend Russe- again, seeing as the last time they had trained together was within the dojo, and before that, even longer ago, back when Kuma was still an active presence within their lives.
Moving forward with the thought, Dion took out his cell phone and shot Russe a text, choosing to then simply meditate the remaining of the time away until his hybrid friend decided upon showing up. Or, until he texted him if he couldn't come at all. While it would be a shame, he knew that the hybrid would find it hard to pass up on the opportunity to learn about the secrets behind the golden gilded warrior itself, nor the chance to see if he was alright after that whole, fainting, business.
So, with optimism running high, the bartender waited- arms crossed, legs pretzeled, eyes closed in a meditating manner as he floated slightly off the ground, waiting until a familiar feeling power signature came along.
Or, again, if his phone alerted him once more.
Either or.

Russe spent his lunch break in a local restaurant of his home town, stuffing his face with a variety of meals, his saiyan appetite attracted everyone around him but he didn't care, a good meal with a balance of calories is mandatory to remain in shape for long-enduring battles. His phone soon vibrated prompting the hybrid to pull it out of pockets and check its ID, its a text message from his buddy Dion, inviting him to train. "Oh it's Dion!" happy to know they still keep in touch, last he heard of him he saw him passed out in the fight for the mountain, if he's able to send him a text then the president fixed him up, better go check on him. Russé chowed down the rest of his food and walked out of the door, a sum of Zeni was left on the table to cover the bill. Outside the blue-haired warrior engulfed his body in white ki then zipped away in the sky traveling in the speed of a jet. The half-saiyan picked up a strong yet familiar energy signature and is gravitated towards them with no interruptions. Russé's eyes visualized the image of Dion waiting for him and made his slow descent. "Hey bud, are you sure you wanna do this? you haven't fully recovered have you?" asking just to be safe as he landed in front of him a few feet away.

After several minutes passed after sending the initial request toward his blue haired buddy of his, Dion was nearly about to fall asleep amidst his attempts at meditation when all the sudden he felt a sizable energy signature closing in on his location- thankfully, Dion was able to tell that it was indeed exactly who he had been waiting for in the first place. Coming down from his floating perch above the rocky ground below, his eyes slowly looked up toward the skies, searching for Russe just as he began his descent below, landing just in front of the bartender himself.
Shooting Russe a warm yet at the same time quite excited grin, Dion was caught a bit off-guard by the hybrid immediately inquiring to his own physical state. He expected at least a proper "hello" before diving into that deep end of the pool, but was all the more flattered that he'd be that concerned about his well being for that to be the first thing in his mind to ask him about. He also assumed that it was due in part to Aurora's own physical condition being a bit ambiguous at best, but seeing as she was safely in Carro's care, he wasn't at all that worried. As he started to close the distance between the two, Dion waved the young man off- clasping his left hand on his shoulder in an easy going manner as he replied in a reassuring tone, flexing his right bicep as he spoke, "There's no need to worry ya goofball- I'm right as rain! If I wasn't, then I wouldn't be sitting here, discussing it with ya now would I? Now, howsabout we get to more important matters yeah? Like..."
Now choosing to shift the spotlight onto Russe instead, he lightly punched at him right at his midsection, asking him in a bit more of a concerned tone, "You doing okay? I mean, I assume the whole, mountain, business was your first, real taste of severity in adversity, and so I wanted to also check up on you. Not just physically, either, but also mentally. If Suri is anything to go off of, it's not just bodily damage everyone needs a bit of a tune-up on. Is there anything you need to get out? Anything you wanna vent about? I'm all ears. But, if not-"
He then slowly put some distance between the two of them now, starting to do some warm up stretches and such before continuing, saying, "Then we can get on to the actually fun stuff-! Like, teaching you a thing or two about Super Saiyan, like we promised! I'm a man of my word, and I know just as well as you probably do that you're dying to witness this kinda strength firsthand. And seeing as I don't think you have Nashua on speed dial- if you do, nice job kid- I have no qualms with showing you the ins and outs of this golden gilded power of mine!"
Dion could recall the day like it was yesterday- when Russe had stumbled into his bar looking for some information on the legend of the Super Saiyan, and the bit of guilt he had felt for not being able to help him to the best of his ability, due to his own lack of ability to do so. Now, it was finally time to right his (not too serious) wrongs, and teach his hybrid friend the secrets of the Super Saiyan-!

His friend seems to be in an upbeat spirit and physically fit for training judging by him flexing his arm with confidence. "If you say you're in good condition then I don't have to worry about holding back" Not that it will make any difference, Dion is a super saiyan with overwhelming power and the hybrid is not. But that means it will be the greatest challenge he will ever face, no pain no gain they always say.
The bartender teased and lightly punched his mid-section and it emits a chuckle out of Russ's windpipe, the man retaliated with a light punch on his shoulder to emphasize their close friendship. "Hey I'm not a kid, I'm twenty-three years old!" playfully pouting and revealing his age, he forgot to mention it during his frequent visits at Dionos and now he bestowed this knowledge to him. Those cheerful gestures are temporary as things stepping into personal matters, Dion asked if he is okay both physically and mentally and...he didn't quite know how to respond. Yes its apparent he isn't mentally healthy, who wouldn't be after going through a dramatic experience like that, and it should be easy to tell his problems..but he didn't expect to have a potential therapy session when all he could think about is testing his might against a super saiyan.
At least Dion bringing it up now served another purpose, it made Russ wonder about the well being of someone else such as Suri, that girl needed to be checked on and it seems he already took care of it, implying the blue majin herself needed emotional support, "I'm fine..a little shaken but I'll get over it, Suri doing okay?" he lied about himself, it's not easy to just pretend nothing is wrong after what they went through. The mere mention of Nashua's name was a painful reminder they will likely never see her again, their first meeting was short-lived but it was nice to know she isn't the kind of queen to harbor a pompous attitude towards the less royalty.
"Let's get started" awaiting for Dion to transform.

A further amused expression appeared on the fledgling Super Saiyan's face as Russe spoke with an iota of pride within his tone- saying with an entertained look upon his face, "Looks like someone's feeling mighty confident today, aren't ya-? Well, glad to hear you won't be pulling your punches this time around. If we're gonna be going at it, we might as well be going all in. What is it that the humans say? Go big or go home?" A slight chuckle left his lips as he continued and finished his statement, "Sounds like a Saiyan originated expression honestly. Looks like the two races are more alike than most give them credit for. But, anyways, I should probably try and cut down on the rambling. You aren't here to listen to me spout off about random crap for an hour or two, nor am I here to do that."
Dusting off the punched shoulder after the initial hit, he laughed in response to Russe's need to point out the not-at-all-large age disparity between the two, with the not really older (but sure as hell acts like it sometimes) bartender replying in a reassuring voice, "Ah, don't worry Russe- I know you're more than worthy of being treated as an equal in terms of age and all that. Hell, it's more on me for not poking around about your age in the first place, you may be the same age as me, but you sure as hell got more youthful vigor than I'll probably ever have in a whole lifetime!" Which was true, whilst Dion may be the more socially charismatic of the two, Russe was by far the more enthusiastic and lively person overall. Qualities that were good in a friend, and could be well put to use in a fighter as well. He just hoped that future conflicts wouldn't tear such an attitude away from his half and half pal. Speaking of conflict, the young Saiyan male perked up and adopted a more serious tone as he focused in on what Russe had to say about himself in relation to the madness atop the mountaintops, and the clash against Kalabas Strongbone. To his dismay, just as it was with Suri or with Carro, after a quick read of the physical stature he had whilst telling him how he was feeling (The slight hesitation between words, the immediate deflection to someone else's wellbeing, etc), Dion could confirm that there was a hidden strife below the surface that he was keeping from the bartender.
Taking care of two anxiety-ridden sweethearts was already a handful. Taking care of three, especially when he wasn't even sure specifically what one of them was really hurting over, would prove to be even more difficult. So, in preparation for the eventual inquiry of what was happening below the surface, Dion clasped a firm yet comforting grip on Russe's shoulder- saying with a very much older sibling-esque tone, "Hey, I'm not one to meddle where meddling shouldn't be done most of the time- so I'm not gonna pry at whatevers bubbling below the surface for you. But, just know, that if you ever need to vent about it, I'm your friend for a reason, Russe, and I'll be there in your corner whenever you need a bit of a pick-me-up, alright?" "And, don't you worry- dear little Suri is doing alright as well. A hug and a heart to heart helped to ensure that, thankfully. Now.." Knowing that he's been putting it off quite a bit, Dion's recently realized Super Saiyan power finally flickered to life within a quick instant and with a short yet thunderous yell, blond hair spiking upwards soon afterward as his golden gilded aura flared around him like a wild flame. Normally, he'd take the more scenic approach to his transformation, but he felt as though he had allowed Russe to wait long enough.
With a bit more of a gravelly and gruffer tone, Dion spoke, "This, is Super Saiyan. Neat, right? Seeing as we've already spent a lotta time on words, howsabout we give you a more hands on demonstration of this strength?"
"I'll let you have the first move. I wanna see how you approach an opponent like this."

The hybrid male shrugged his shoulders "Hey what can I say I'm a pretty simple guy, I prefer getting straight to the point"and that will never change, he isn't really bothered too much by Dion going on a tangent as they usually contain some words of wisdom underneath the rambling. He is amused at Dion claiming the hybrid has a lot more youth in personality and he isn't wrong, staying optimistic as much as possible is better than being moody all the time, but that will be put to the test if he involves himself in any more world-shattering conflicts in the future.
"Youthful vigor? For a guy around my age you sound like you're forty years old" teasing the bartender, if Dion is older, younger, or roughly of equal age, their dynamic will never change anytime soon. There is reassurance about the mental state of their Majin friend is put to rest as Dion tells him she is okay after a hug and a heart to heart talk. "Good, I know Suri is a nice girl and the last thing anyone needed is her spirits crushed." he doesn't want to imagine a world where that timid Majin became cold and bitter from the harsh conditions of war and conflict, she's too pure for that.
The bartender worried about Russ's state of mind assured him if he needed to get something out of his chest or vent away his trouble, Dion is a shoulder he could lean on. "I'll try to remember that" he nodded. He didn't make any promises he would be open with his feelings guaranteed though it all depends on the outcome of training as they will mostly bond much closer than ever, baby steps. Dion transformed into a Super Saiyan right before his eyes and that feeling of being intimidated by such overwhelming power will never get old. The form's flame-Esque illuminating glow, limitless enormous power, and unparalleled burning rage have earned every right to being called legendary.
Russ's throated gulped in worry, how is he able to combat such a foe without any access to the form himself? Does he become an Oozaru to fight back or not transform at all and attack without a plan? Its the only option he has right now, will it be enough? "With this!" a grin appeared on face regaining his confidence, no reason to express fear in front of his friend, they were just sparring after all. The blue-haired young adult created a bright energy sphere in hand and squeezed it tight to absorb the blutz waves, his body soon transformed into a towering blue Oozaru, a hefty feral breath and snort escaped his throat and nostrils but he was still in control regardless, Dion may be stronger but Russ is bigger!
A toothy smile revealed large fangs overlapping smaller sharp teeth "RUSS SMASH!!!" he roared as he playfully referenced a comic book hero, Russ quietly raised a fist and slam it down straight for the golden-haired restaurant owner.
