PRESIDENCY TAKES PRECEDENCE
FUSED CARRO's PL: 100 (x22P / SUPPRESSED / ANTISENSE / 200,066 BASE PL)
These past few weeks had been... chaotic, to say the least.
'Carro, you know I can feel your stress. I know you're not looking forward to this. Again.' The president sighed, despite his inability to breathe. 'Yeah, but we still gotta do our jobs.' Glowing orange shoes tapped at Crop Co's tiled floor, engulfed by ki and flickering like a warm fire. The illusion trailed up the robot's entire form, masking metal beneath a bright, much more human-looking layer of pure energy and soul. Despite the weight of worlds on his heart, the fusion took a step forwards. 'Earth is counting on us.'
He'd revealed his condition to Earth a little over a week ago. The public reception was... mostly shock, so far. A fair share of skepticism, but he'd managed to assure most of the general public that he was the Carro and not a robotic puppet made in his likeness. Whenever he went out on these public excursions, he'd always enter his fused form with LEO. Looking more like himself in front of the Earth's cameras made him feel a little more at ease. Though the 'heartbeat' in their combined body was nothing more than an illusion, it brought him a slight bit of comfort. Namek was gone, he still was working out a time to meet with Kayen, he was worried sick about Chime, Oboe, Yogu, Dion, and everyone else-- but he had to keep going, for all of their sakes. He was the President of Earth. He had to lead everyone to a brighter future.
...His determined fire- both literal and metaphorical- aside, though... that didn't make these conferences any less stressful. He was doing a public Q&A of sorts today to try and better explain things, as well as to hopefully put his people at a little more ease. If there was one thing he was good at, it was talking to people.
"...So are you like, on fire, or...? How does that even work?" A bewildered lizard-like zoanthrope spoke, wing still raised in the air from when Carro had called upon them. "A-ah, uh, not really! It's just, energy. Ki and stuff from, y'know, w-when I was still human and all that, carried over to me now! The technological specifics are both classified, and uh, would take... several hours to discuss." Not all questions were weighty and stressful. There were the obvious paranoid "how much longer is Earth going to be at ris," and the "are we all going to die" sorts of questions which he couldn't provide hard answers to despite his attempts to ease and assure his people, but Carro still tried. He did genuinely believe that one day, things would go back to normal.
That day wasn't today, though. The firey form of Carro awkwardly tugged at his tuxedo collar. It took a LOT of regulating of his internal settings to wear it without setting it ablaze or risking overheat, but it both made him feel more human and made him look professional. He'd propped himself on a bench in Crop Co's spacious park with Tianum by his side. "Well, thank you for the question, good sir." She waved off, scanning through the crowd again with one hand resting on her robotic friend's shoulder. "Anyways, uh, next question! Can I get a show of hands?" Again, nearly every hand shot up. Tianum winced as several microphones were shoved in her face from the front line's reporters- she couldn't make out anything with everyone talking at once. "A-again, one at a time, please!" Carro sighed, gripping his heart. Nothing had gone too horribly yet in the past hour... He would like to keep that trend going for once.
LEO's SUPER ANDROID trait has fused her with Carro! x22P SOULBOUND is active, but however, [UT1] Ki Suppression lowers their PL to 100. [UT2] Soulbound is passively active as well. -------------------------------------------------------------- As an OOC note, I'd prefer this thread be kept as a fairly peaceful one- no fighty yet please so I can ease back into posting easier to recover from burnout!

Nein watched the president appear on stage trying to relax the populace from not showing his new original form. Or maybe it was personal for him to appear closer to himself but Either way Nien could not tell. She listened to the reporters doggedly ask him questions that he tried to answer and for the most part did very well explaining. Some questions though were much harder and Nien and the reporters saw it clearly when they asked about there safety.
Slowly he began to pick out reporters to answer questions and this personally was what Nien herself was waiting for. She raised her hand high like all the other reporters but she remained calm and she would like to say maybe that was why he finally picked her. Hello Mr president me and my associates wanted to know what the government was doing to defend the planet? Many heros have stepped forth to defend the planet but I see little in the terms of Earth raising an army to defend it self. Raising money to supply these warriors with the best training and Equipment available. How long until these heros fall and earth starts to truly suffer? Her eyes held his in a cold calculated stare the disapproval evident held clearly in her red eyes.
Nien had planned this moment carefully over since she had heard of the president’s speech was gonna happen. She had paid a bit of money to get into the event and even a little political capital just for this moment. She hoped he was doing something that he could explain to the people here and to her to justify confidence of the peoples safety. If he failed to justify that to Nien here and now she was gonna habe to make a statement here and now and she much rather stay hidden.

Russé decided to drop by the president's gathering, finding out the robot dude was their earth leader the whole time remedied an odd feeling in his gut disappointed. He had a feeling there was something significant about the little droid, finding out they're the president of Earth who died long ago is wild but at the same time, it makes sense. His mannerisms, the way he spoke and his choice of attire, they all belong to the man he saw on television a few times. Now that he thought about it, the flame-like aura on his head was styled in the same way as his hair...
This revelation meant the president paid a visit to his hometown to do repairs under a different alias, the young adult should be miffed by dishonesty but he can understand why he did it, the average citizen wouldn't believe him even if he told the truth. Russé blended in well with the crowd of people, keeping a watchful eye on the host on stage, he can tell being up there must be stressful for the robot but he's holding himself well enough. It was time to ask questions and Russé has always wondered what does it feel like to be a machine.
One of the crowd folk asked a question about their method of defending the earth, considering a ghost tried to destroy it, it brought some concern to the hybrid as well. However, his incoming question will be different, a bit less heroic, and possibly insensitive. Russé raised a hand "I got one Mr President, what's it like to adjust to life as a droid? If possible, do you intend to figure out a way to get your body back?" he finished.

With all the representatives of each fraction of Brumal all present Garruk's group had made their way into the meeting, the small lord preparing for it since they day he had seen the broad cast. His city's most influential people showing with him as they made their way inside, the large group of aliens making a large stir as the earthlings quickly moved out of their way. He could not blame them in the slightest really, his kind alone could be intimidating but with of the other races with him it would almost look as if the freak show had walked in. Nameks,Acrosians,Kabo's and a assortment of other aliens filled the ranks of his city, proof of that could be seen with the group he had entered with. Three Acrosians, a Namek, and a old Saiyan all stood silently in the middle of the room as the few earthlings who had noticed them stared at them wearily.
Garruk easily noticed their gazes, the earthlings paranoia was no doubt at a all time high with all the recent upheavals and if the questions where anything to go by that he over heard it was only gonna get worse soon. Despite everything Garruk wanted to assure those that he was not here in fact to cause trouble, at least the violent kind. Waiting for Tianum to move though the questions Garruk and Freist quietly lifting their hands as they waited to be called on. They where here to ask for help and following the instructions provided by the official was the best way to go about it, it had taken quite a bit of time to finally get a chance to meet Carro and he did not want to blow it. The recent broad cast had done a good job of explaining his recent disappearance, his death happening just before his small house had arrived on earth. It might also explain how such a large group of ships had gone unnoticed by the planet, a small fleet was unlikely to not be noticed normally even on such a underdeveloped planet. It was interesting that the president had some how cheated death, a small part of his mind wishing he had such technology for himself just in case anything happened to him.
Waiting patiently to be called on Garruk looked at Friest one final time who simply nodded at him, a small motion signaling his support of Garruks choice to come here. If they were called on Garruk would lift a bit into the air so that he was head level with everyone around him, his eyes focused as he asked his question. "With the destruction of Namek, the World Trade Fleet and the capture of so many worlds how does Earth plan to deal with alien refugees?" he asked, his words filling the room as the earthlings watched on in silence. His question seemed to be a reasonable one, with everything that had happened their would no doubt be many fleeing their homes for another chance elsewhere. However in this case Garruk was also implying without saying a single thing that they where already here, the hidden meaning quite obvious for anyone to figure out form just the company with him.
Silently Garruk prayed for good news, he was not sure he could fight well enough to keep them here if they were thrown out. He knew the president was a good man but their would be limits to what he could do in the current political climate, his position was a elected position and not a absolute like his own. Even if he wanted to he might not be able to harbor them, more so since much of his people came form the now defunct Fleet and earths tentative peace could be endangered if he took them in. Despite Garruks calm demeanor his stomach was doing flips that took all his will to force down as he silently prayed to whatever gods there may be for a positive reply.

Presidency takes Precedence Garon's PL: 100,030 (30 Suppressed) | (x4) Hydrogan: OFF Holy shit.
Garon had been struggling to mentally process it all for the past week. After spending so long in what could only be described as a depressed lethargy in his bedroom, the news that his friend and boss was alive and well was both unprecedented and, in Garon’s words, “fuckin’ awesome”. He heavily considered visiting Carro the day he announced his recovery, but Garon felt he knew better than anyone that people need space, time, and food when they come back from the dead. Therapy is somewhere on that list too, but it seems neither of them got the memo in that regard. Garon began his stroll through Central City, occasionally tugging at the black-and-white monochrome Crop Co. beanie he’d chosen to wear that day. It didn’t take long for him to pinpoint the boisterous crowd that had amassed for the press conference. After jumping the fence (a viable alternative over trying to maneuver through the cramped entrance), he found himself relatively behind the bench where Carro and Tianum were sitting. Bingo. With a few dozen more steps to close the distance, Garon surprised Carro by attempting to put his right arm around the fiery… robot… body thing. He wasn’t sure how it worked. “Carro, you magnificent bastard!” Garon cursed, not angrily, but in an endearing way. Or at least, as endearing as someone like Garon can be. He grinned, revealing his draconic fangs. This had been the first day in weeks he’d gone outside, and one instance of happiness wouldn’t make the bags under his eyes go away, but he looked about as happy as he could have regardless. “You should’ve told us earlier! What the hell, man?” Despite the language, he didn’t seem mad. The whole revival thing seemed to displace any resentment Garon had. “So, how’d you do it? I know the Dragon Balls weren’t used, I think, so you’ve gotta spill the beans!” Garon was so excited about his reunion that he’d almost completely forgotten about the many, many other people there who also had questions of their own. Most of them were just white noise he couldn’t care less about, but one in particular reached his ears. For a second, Garon glared at Nien. “I’d love to see you try and do better, asshole. Fuck off.” And after that second had passed, he quickly reverted back to his happier state. “Uh, right, where were we...”
