Carro found his metaphorical gut twisting in grief when he saw that while his words had managed to quell Yogu, the brutal honesty he'd tried to sugarcoat still left a mark on his spirits. The President mumbled his own apology back, watching his friend take off to the scene with Dion and the Stargoons. He was going to suggest the former human do that anyways- why they were even fighting was beyond frustrating to think about. They were all here to accomplish the same damn thing! Would it really hurt not to be at each others throats for more than five seconds?!
His fist clenched. Then again, he was no-one to talk when that little, worried dark voice was still trying to tempt him into doing what he should have done to the Stargoons all the way back at Central City. How he was too much of a coward to end it there, and how he still was now.
You can sulk on that later, his conscious reminded him. Lives were at stake- he couldn't fall to the same pointless squabbling the others had slipped into as long as the planet was at stake. Yogu was easy to quell with empathy and emotions, but Carro knew the same could not be said of the Saiyan Queen, which was precisely why he left her that blank check.
Carro found himself glaring back when Kayen mentioned Yogu "living" meant he still had suffering to do- his own frustration festered at the implication that Kayen thought she had a right more than him to be the judge of that- but the Queen's first condition was... surprisingly manageable. His hopes had been to use the wish to repair Earth's damages, but... Gods, he still had no idea how to even go about confronting his two grieving Namekian friends about it. 'Sorry your home and your entire people were literally annihilated, better luck next time?' The Namekians didn't deserve to die, but neither did Nashua. Neither did Yogu. Carro grit his teeth.
"...Yes. We'll use the wish to restore those who died to Earth's conflicts- if we can rope in some of Namek's strife too that w-would be ideal. But Nashua will be part of it- You have my promise." Kais above, he hoed he wouldn't regret this. But it could be worse, right? At least she wasn't asking for ownership of Earth or his life or something horrible. Or...
Kayen's second request did little to stir the ripples of anger in Carro's mind. "...What?" He couldn't hide the frustration anymore. "We're both here for the same damn thing. We have no reason to be fighting when those bastards could be killing MY friends, or your idiot lackey could be moments away from destroying the entire planet! I am NOT letting this happen again!" His aura flared- Kayen was right about one thing, Carro had no reason to hold back.
"What if you and I fight and we exhaust each other, and the others use that and either kill us or blow up the planet when we can't do a single thing! You're right, my friends are at stake, this ENTIRE PLANET is at stake! Why should we risk that for a little bit of anger management?!" Carro had restrained himself from harming the Stargoons and Scallio and every last Kingdom member who had wronged him and the Earth in the worst of ways- he now put his priorities as a leader above all else, as well as leaving Kayen's own under her jurisdiction. To see Kayen, a fellow ruler over something so much more than Earth, stabbing both of them in the foot like this, made him furious. Why not at least take this out on Scallio instead?! LEO's own rage swarming in his conscious did little to help Carro keep his own cool.
"But you know what? Fine! I know I can't tell you otherwise- You won't listen! I can't say I didn't warn you! If you really want to risk everything over something as comparably juvenile as this to the millions of innocents at stake, and there's nothing I can do, give me your absolute worst." Carro had his own long-repressed rage, to take out on the Queen. He opened his clawed hands and slipped into a defensive stance, fangs bared and eyes narrowed and blazing with orange and green energy. It was about time he filed some formal complaints.
No KP action taken, but Carro braces for combat!

Auber's answer wasn't a direct yes or not, but he didn't deny his affiliation with Scallio. A smile formed across his face, he is about to face a potential foe who can give him a fight and they happened to be on the opposite side of his moral beliefs. The hybrid watched Auber prepare a battle stance, his smile turned into a cheeky grin left his face. Russé popped his neck, cracked knuckles, and finally partake a fighting stance of his own. "Then show me how tough you are" itching for a fight, green eyes locked on the warrior ignited with passion, ready to throw down with absolute focus! Or so he thought, a voice calling him blue-haired guy due to not knowing his name, it belonged to Yogu. the boy almost instantly grabbed his attention. "Uhh, later ghost dude! D-oh!" Replying to Yogu with a wave, then a fist lodged its knuckles on the half-sayain's face, sending Russé spiraling backward in the horizon. Russé PL: 90,000

Kayen had fully expected Carros frustrated reaction, truth be told she kind of WANTED it, that frustration would just be more fuel for the fire, more reason for Carro to give his all. And it was all based on the president’s belief that there was a very genuine danger present, a belief Kayen had certainly stoked with her previous comments. But the Queen knew better, especially now with Yogu going off to join the fights everything would be ‘fine’ as long as the ghost didn’t end up fucking things up AGAIN. The Goons MIGHT kill someone if they got the chance but Amara seemed keen on them escaping this situation without death, she made it VERY clear the Goons were not here to destroy the planet, there was probably some genuine fear that someone like Carro might just go around vaporizing them, not that Carro actually had it in him to do the deed. There was also the fact that the group of Goons fighting Carros friends were at a bit of a power disadvantage, made worse now by the addition of Yogu. Technically speaking it was a fight that did not even NEED to be happening but because some of Carros companions wanted in on the fight with Scallio. THAT fight was a bit more contentious, Kayen simply chose to rely on the fact Amara had more raw power and more determination to win, Scallio almost seemed to WELCOME defeat or perhaps more accurately death. “You’re a bit mistaken Carro, I’m not challenging you because I’m mad at you, or transferring my frustration over Yogu getting to go free… well not ENTIRELY I suppose, my reason for this fight is as I said. I want to fight you at your best no holding back because you’re worried that if you DO hold back it’ll cause everything to go wrong. If it makes you feel just a bit better, I’m fairly certain it WON’T. If things were a bit different I’d probably not take this sort of risk.”“I do have to say though I like ‘angry Carro’ you’re too nice most of the time. If the number’s I’ve been getting on you are right you might be the strongest being in the damn galaxy. You should act like it more often” Kayen said with a smirk before rushing at Carro and taking a powerful swing at him to make it VERY clear that she had no intention of backing down from this fight, she NEEDED to test herself against the best the galaxy had to offer and with that ‘best in the galaxy’ fighting her seriously.

Carro snarled back at Kayen, his anger only growing with her attempted "reassurance." "Then what the hell did we see unfold with Vocado and Nashua?!" He threw his arms into the air. How was Kayen so content to make this same mistake again? How was she, the ruler of a multi-planet kingdom, willing to risk even the "unlikely" outcome where everything went wrong here for the sake of not taking out her anger, but for the mere thrill of testing herself? This could wait, and knowing that Kayen was ignoring that made him livid. "It was a five-against one. The only one who should have died was that monster. We thought there was no way things could possibly go wrong, like you are insistent on here, and look where that got us! You're making the exact same mistake that cost your friend's life, and I-I don't ever want to do that again!" Not just rage was in the Presiden't voice anymore- there was a very, very real terror. Even if it was a slim chance, the mere thought of losing anything else made Carro shudder. He'd given his humanity, his innocence, his ideals and happiness for the sake of the greater good's better future. What else did the universe expect him to give?
The strongest in the universe, Kayen had called him. However, that didn't phase him as much as the other thing she'd called him. "...A-angry?" The machine parroted, the fury drained from his voice- likely the exact opposite reaction Kayen wanted. Carro looked down into the rippling water beneath him, and lo and behold, he saw his own face twisted in now-diminishing yet ever present rage. Carro Hofferson did not get angry. He did not want to hurt people. He knew what it was like, so he'd never ever... "No, no, nonono, I-I-- I don't w-want to--" He dug his claws into his scalp. What was he thinking?
Kayen answered that question for him with a swift punch, landing square in his face. "-ACK!!" With his guard lowered, the strike left Carro reeling back- but the ki wrapped around his form would instinctively lash out from the point of impact, intent to burn Kayen to cue her to get away. Carro shook his head again. What the hell was he supposed to do? He had to fight or Yogu would die, but if he did then he would be risking Yogu and Dion and everyone else on this planet dying anyways! Kayen had yet to bait out the "serious fight" she wanted to- as the former saiyan remained silent as he raised a hand, instead favoring to form a thin layer of green energy around himself- a barrier to protect him from the oncoming onslaught while he tried to think of exactly what to do...
Carro uses [VB2] Safety Cap for 1,452,479 PL! It will last for three posts if not broken before then.

“Considering Scallio is being handled in a one on one fight, I don’t foresee Amara getting hit by any allies too stupid to hold off an attack aimed at Scallio. I’ve got a feeling she wont KILL him, but there is a discernible different amount of risk involved there” Of course Yogu WAS involved in another fight but if he ended up killing ANOTHER hero then it really just reinforced Kayens belief that the spirit should be put back in the afterlife where he belongs. “And no, I’m making a very different choice. As well, YOU are probably the only person here I could be described as friendly with outside of Ashi. So I have nothing to lose if anyone dies. I’ve given up on giving Scallio chances, if he wants death he can have it, if Amara can smack some sense into him then she can have him.” It wasn’t exactly pleasant to say but it was… true, as much as Kayen might not want it to be. She could not trust the mohawked Saiyan anymore, as much of a shame as that was. Kayen raised an eyebrow as Carro took a complete one eighty when she praised him letting out his anger, had he actually not realized how mad he had been? And was he actually actively suppressing it? Beyond the fact that Kayen had wanted to fight Carro at his best that surely could not be healthy. “And there we go. Away goes the warrior and out comes the coward. I’ve never met someone so afraid of THEMSELF.” Kayen snarked as she pulled back from Carro as flames surrounded where she struck briefly singing her fist “You do realize things like this are going to KEEP happening if you stay like this right? Even if we did partner up again and I did my best to protect your planet people WILL still threaten it because you refuse to take yourself seriously.” “It’ll get many more people killed, maybe even get YOU killed again. There should never have been a CHANCE for Vocado and Cress to kill you, if you fought with even HALF the fire someone with your power should have they wouldn't have stood a chance. It pisses me off that YOU of all people have this much power and so little will to use it. At least LEO seems to take some pride in their strength, something you cant seem to accomplish even when merged with them” Kayen glared at Carro as her power surged, if Carro was just going to try playing defense and play the coward then she’d BEAT the frustration back out of him. “You cant WIN from behind that shield Carro! and if you’re REALLY concerned about your friends then I’d advise you cut the cowardice and FIGHT. Unless you WANT to be right and give enough time for something horrible to go wrong!” Kayen growled out her frustration as she rushed at Carro once more wildly smashing Fateburn against his barrier with a single hand before bringing it down for one last powerful chop bolstered by her anger and power the blade clashed against the barrier and slowly sapped away its strength, once it was down the Queen would attempt to boot the mechanized president in the face!

Carro couldn't believe the words he was hearing. This was the same person that still wanted to ally with him and his people, willingly dismissing his own wishes and giving what amounted to a "too bad" if he did lose what he held dearly, because Kayen had nothing to lose she had nothing to concern herself with. Irritation bubbled again in the President. How dare Kayen call him a coward when he spat in the face of death itself, how he'd forced through the sea of traumas from the recent year while she'd done nothing but watch- even back at Frappe, Kayen had done next to nothing. "S-stop it." The president muttered beneath his breath, stance tightening and shrinking back in further apprehension.
However, the mention of Cress's name was what caused another burst of anger to surface. "What, is that what he told you?! That he won fair and square?! That it sucks to be me?! He--! He wasn't... aiming for..." Even now, Carro bore no hatred to his killers. But the memories Kayen was forcing him to remember made him shiver. Still, he raised his head again with teeth bared yet again. "I'm willing to bet he told you all that himself- It sure sounds like it. And it sounds like you let him just waltz off after! This entire damn time-- You KNEW! And even right now you continue to do NOTHING!" Kayen's constant inaction drove Carro into a fury. One thing was for sure, right now in this moment he wanted nothing to do with whatever she thought an "alliance" meant. "...And LEO is a she, thank you!"
Before either of them could do anything else, though, a roar of energy pierced the stormy skies behind them. Carro gasped, whipping around to see a colossal gold spike of ki whirling into the sky. Amara's energy, intent to do exactly the opposite of what Kayen thought she had planned for her son. Among it all Carro could make out a crack of glass too... That couldn't be the city below, could it? The other saiyan's threats soon thereafter only added more to the fearful fire in his chest.
The barrier he'd put up was swiftly shattered by a flurry if blows- as quick as before Kayen was right up in his face again. He shouted again in shock, but the Queen's second strike after his barrier dissipated was quickly dodged. Carro dipped under the attack, finally reaching one of his clawed hands out to attack back with a slash of his own directed at her torso. It didn't yet have the power that Kayen was looking for behind it, but the Queen had successfully forced him onto the offense with her 'threats.' Yet it still wasn't anger or hate that drove him to fight now- it was fear, in its rawest of forms.
No KP action taken, but Carro begins with some good ol' non-KP swipes and blasts.

“He did, I didn’t ACTUALLY believe it at the time mind, but from what he showed me it was all I had. I eventually was informed of Vocado’s involvement. And my point stands, even in an unfair fight I’m firm in my belief if you REALLY fought instead of reigning yourself in you would have taken them down. You’d still be alive”
“Every fight I’ve seen of yours you always seem so unsure, unwilling. The closest I saw to a SERIOUS Carro willing to get shit done was when it was already too late and irrelevant, because Vocado was all but dead already. And yes, I DID let Cress walk after he bragged about killing you, I had no real clue what to do with the information. Without you there arguably was no more deal since we hadn’t made it official, I was VERY tempted to smack him around for screwing that up. If i’d known about what he was actually up to I’d have probably killed him” Kayen seemed almost unsure of the answer, it WAS difficult to tell how she would have reacted exactly. “But you’re right, I’ve done a whole lot of nothing recently. I let myself get tied up with too many maybes and ‘what will they think’s but that’ll be changing soon. I’ve got a more clear directive in mind, and the will to put if forward. I’m going to stop playing at being the ‘Saiyan Queen’ it’s never REALLY fit me after all.”Things were REALLY heating up elsewhere, massive surges of power from Amara and Scallio, Amara’s attack even felt… difficult to describe, as if it had ‘more’ to it than just a big final attack to defeat Scallio, it was had more ‘oomph’ behind it. Was the Stargoon really willing to go THAT far? Kill her son? Kayen frowned for just a moment at the thought. In a sad way it was almost ‘better’ for her, it made it less likely Kayen might need to do that herself. Breaking Carro’s barrier finally prompted some action from the mechanized Saiyan, though his efforts seemed less driven by a renewed will to fight and almost more out of fear of being chopped to bits, an admittedly reasonable fear when faced with a sword such as Fateburn but really Carro of all people should NOT be so concerned so quickly. He held every advantage in this fight, he SHOULD be the one dictating its pace. Carro slashed at her and the Queen barely made a motion to stop it, just enough to prevent it from becoming a particularly serious wound but it would cut through her armor and wound her side drawing blood “not terrible, but I know you’re able to do FAR better Carro, but as a plus you’re the first person to make me bleed since my decision to make a change, to return to being the Pirate Queen” Kayen grinned wide, she wondered what conclusions the President would draw from that, though she would not give him TOO much time to think on it, taking a powerful swing at his side trying to hack off one of his arms if possible. She felt far less concerned with doing major damage to Carro in his current state, he was a machine now and as far as she was aware could simply put hismelf back together if need be as long as whatever parts of him constituted as ‘vital’ remained mostly intact. Of course that all assumed she could land a ‘vital’ hit on him, while he was not particularly eager to give a real fight he was more than capable of mounting a defense.

The more Kayen jabbed at and dug up the repressed traumas of his death, the more anger and terror flooded the poor robot. He had given it it all- every ounce of power he had, if his use of his Oozaru form then was anything to judge. But Kayen didn't know, and he didn't think she'd care even if she did. He knew well she was just trying to get a reaction out of him to provoke him to fight, and it was working. He didn't amuse her with another response outside of a forced glare, though, lest she mangle his words into something else to try and anger him.
However, when Kayen spoke of renouncing the title of "saiyan queen," the President found himself worrying again. What was that supposed to mean? It didn't sound good. After he'd finally given in to one quick swipe at her, her new title of "pirate queen" only made him more nervous. "Could you p-please just stop being weirdly ominous and dramatic abou-- GAH!!" He'd begin to ask, only to lurch back with a stifled gasp, barely managing to swerve out of the way of her slash to his shoulder. The blade nicked his tail as he sidestepped, but quickly turned back around to try and grab onto the Fateburn's blade with his clawed feet, attempting to use it as a surface to jump right off of in a blur, now intent to punch Kayen's face right back with a fiery fist. If he was lucky, maybe the force from him pouncing off with the force of a rocket would be enough to at least cause her grip on that accursed sword to fumble.
"Unlike people like YOU," He began, rearing back with his arms flaring with energy. "I don't take satisfaction from hurting others. Even you-- E-even Vocado." Carro did not want to be doing any of this. There was absolutely no reason for the Queen to keep insisting on this pointless brawl- it was a completely unnecessary, artificial obstacle. He was afraid of what would happen if he did beat Kayen, or what would happen if he didn't get to Dion and the others or what would happen if the city below broke into a flood, but not for his own life. Despite his terror, though, flickers of logic began to creep into his head with the start of a plan. Two could play at this challenging game. "If you REALLY want to fight me, then why don't you take it seriously first? I-I've seen children that pack more of a punch than you do, if this is your best! You're wasting my time!"
More non-KP! come at me nerd.

Kayen didn’t get the verbal response she expected at first but she got something almost BETTER, a glare a sign that there was more than just fear and nervousness there again, that anger she had seen before was beginning to bubble back up to the surface again, it would likely be a very difficult balance to keep trying to draw more of that out but it was a challenge Kayen was more than willing to participate in. It seemed her declaration really mostly just served to confuse the President which amused her, perhaps she WAS being a bit dramatic but frankly she enjoyed it, playing up the intensity of what was going on, making her shift in perspective seem even more grand than it was, realistically though it was a fairly small change, just a return to how she had operated before Vegeta, before she tried to play at the stupid nobility game the Saiyans of Vegeta obsessed over. Fateburn just barely missed cleaving into Carro’s shoulder but DID manage to cut into his tail as the extra appendage got in the way as he moved to avoid her attack, Kayen was surprised to find resistance as she moved to pull Fateburn back and found Carro using it to launch himself at her, Kayen gripped tightly to the sword with her main hand and raised her free one to protect her face, the punch landed and Kayen grit her teeth at the impact, it was probably the rough equivalent of being hit by a spaceship during takeoff but the Queen simply grit her teeth and even forced herself to grin at Carro. “You know, for someone so fearful of fighting, so uninterested in causing harm. Its strange you chose to build what seems to be THE strongest fighter in the galaxy. Even more strange is the fact you take control to bring out the full strength of LEO. I’m well aware she’s a fully sentient being, a proper AI.” Kayen paused as they brawled and Carro shouted at her, dared HER to be the one to make things more serious, it earned a smirk from her. “I’ve been trying to get you to get things going, but if that’s what you want then sure. It’s good to see you’re getting more interested in the fight” Kayen said turning Carros challenge right on its head, a sort of counter to all his claims of not wanting this fight “You know, I think I get why LEO isn’t the one that does the fighting when you’re at your best. No matter how much you claim no interest in it, I think you DO enjoy this, otherwise I’m sure someone with as much knowledge and skill would have figured out a way to let the actual battle mech AI do the fighting” Kayen said before rushing at Carro again, a few quick swiped with Fateburn aimed to find an opening or failing that MAKE one as Fateburn began to burn bright with her energy once again as a swipe came in to cut Carro in half.

Carro fluttered back after his punch connected with Kayen's own hand. He looked down to the palm he'd used to strike her anxiously, shaking it like he was trying to wave off some invisible, putrid substance. It was when Kayen spoke of LEO and her power that he perked back up, teeth grit but eyes still nervously darting. His fists clenched. Kayen knew nothing of his feline friend's true strength, and where it truly came from. LEO was more than some sentient war machine. "She's my friend," He corrected with a snarl. LEO's own voice, which had been present in the form of a faint 'overlay' to his voice all the while before, was much more audible now. Carro wasn't the only one Kayen was ticking off. "And you know nothing about her." If there was one thing that forced the Earthling to fight, it was when the Queen dared speak of those close to him like this- and her earlier "threats" of the others perishing if he didn't fight began to resurface in his thoughts.
'Let me at her,' Carro and LEO had conversed over purely emotion in their fused form until those words were uttered in his head, inaudible to the Pirate Queen. 'B-but I don't want to hurt her too badly! This is pointless!' His plea was met by another telepathic hiss. 'I know! It's idiotic! But we don't need to take pleasure in hurting to fight when we need to!' ...LEO did have a point. Carro knew there was no way he could talk out of this brawl- Kayen truly was leaving him no other option. He felt disgusted and unclean already. 'I don't get it! I'll never get it! 'And that's not by killing or hurting.' Carro shook his head, seemingly zoning out as Kayen quipped back in regards to his challenge while his internal exchange continued. LEO remained silent as her companion's thoughts festered, with one new worry at its forefront. '...You're nothing like her. Not even if you give her what she wants.' He hated that thought. He hated the fact that he didn't have a choice in this. He hated that Kayen wanted anything to do with him at all. 'You don't deserve this. It's unfair. It hurts. I know.' LEO's conscious concluded with a sigh. 'Let's show her how wrong she is. I'll be with you. If she wants to see where OUR true power comes from that badly...'
"F-fine."
Carro snapped back to just in time to hear Kayen dare utter his partner's name again, insisting that he secretly enjoyed fighting and hurting. "We do not." Both androids' voices snapped out at the same time in a tired monotone. The aura around the fusion began to flare, power slowly climbing even higher. "Don't talk like you know either of us."
When Kayen finally moved to swing the blade down onto Carro's form, the ki coating his body flared out in its entirity. Longer, much sharper arms reached out to catch the sword as it slammed down, digging into the energy and causing it to flicker in pain- but it held firm. The once small fire that was the President had quickly morphed into a familiar form- the same that had taken down Vocado. A feline face and fangs bared into a growl hovered inches from Kayen's own. Though their overclocked form was more akin to LEO, this time the android's eyes were the same as Carro's- wrought with disgust and apprehension, but now blazing with a dutiful determination. It was two against one now, and both robots were done wasting time.
"Here it is." Ten feet tall at the shoulders, surging with the most energy they could potentially output, was exactly what Kayen asked for. The linked might of man and machine formed what looked like a wildfire on four legs, staring their enemy down. "You have done nothing but make me and everyone I love suffer through your choices and inaction. I hope you're happy with yourself. I hope one temporary, asinine fight is worth what little trust I had left in you."
Jaws opened wide as the friends' combined energies swirled into a green and orange miasma of ki in their throat, intent to blast Kayen's body in its entirety point-blank. One thing was for certain, Carro and his friend knew clearly know that they owed Kayen nothing for the pain she'd caused them.
[UT2] Soulbound is used to let LEO and Carro talk internally.

Carro’s response was, well, entirely accurate, or well MOSTLY accurate, Kayen possessed a VERY limited understanding of LEO, she knew enough to know the mech was either sentient or a VERY good imitation of sentience, and seemed to be the more bold of the duo. She now knew though that LEO was also a VERY touchy subject for the mechanized Saiyan as even her mosty vague references to the mech were met with intense frustration and defense. Her words seemed to FINALLY have the desired effect as pushing the ‘Leo’ button and the ‘you might actually like fighting’ button got Carro to bring out his full strength and with it seemed to also more clearly bring LEO to the fore as the mech’s voice became more pronounced, it was there before but almost a sort of echo to Carro’s own, now they were equally prominent and equally ANGRY. Kayen buried Fateburn into the energy swirling and swarming around Carro and she was pretty sure she DID hit something though it hardly mattered at the moment as the merged duo’s power surged enough to prompt a warning from her scouter as their form also changed, more distinctly taking on a look like LEO’s normal appearance. The queen simply smirked as the massive mech growled at her and they made their frustrated declaration that this was their full strength. It was frankly even more impressive than Kayen had expected, her scouter struggled to actually give an accurate reading but it was well over five million at this point. Astoundingly high. It boggled the mind what she could accomplish if the situations were swapped and Kayen wielded all of that, though with luck today would be the first step to achieving that. Carro and LEO gave her exactly what she wanted, a new, clear, benchmark. It would become more concrete once the fight inevitably concluded, Kayen already MOSTLY expected defeat, though she would make DAMN sure to do everything she could to pull a victory out of this, or at least see how close she could get. Frankly winning here would almost be WORSE, sure it would feel GOOD to beat such a seemingly insurmountable opponent but the whole point of this was to give herself a discernible goal to push toward, the ability to win a rematch against Carro at his best whenever she decided she had advanced far enough. Now she just needed to survive the encounter. Or.. well she supposed that might not be STRICTLY necessary, if nothing else it seemed as if death was not quite the ‘end’ for the best of the best that it was for the average warrior. If someone like Yogu could weasel his way out of the afterlife Kayen would be DAMN sure she could as well. “Coulda saved yourself from me going full bitch mode by just doing this from the start” Kayen said with a smirk as Carro’s power surged again and LEO’s maw opened releasing a massive tidal wave of energy upon her, in an ideal scenario perhaps she might have been able to utilize her training to its fullest and manage a Final Counter on the wave, use it to whip herself around to smack Carro in the face. Unfortunately in her current state Kayen had just enough time to process an important fact. She was too slow. All Kayen had time to do, almost out of spite, was to actually LEAN INTO the attack, slam herself against it to refuse to allow the wave to carry her away and smash her into the planet below, Kayen used what she could of Fateburn as a sort of shield but if it did anything it was nowhere NEAR enough to reduce the power of what she was being hit with. When the blast cleared a burnt and bloody Kayen was left floating there, pushed just a bit back by the blast and perhaps FAR worse off because of her stubborn refusal to be sent flying “That wasn’t even a full power hit was it?” Kayen managed to speak after a moment and after spitting out a not insubstantial amount of blood that had collected in her mouth. Despite the pain it was actually a bit exhilarating, a serious challenge, COULD she do anything more to him now that Carro was taking this seriously? Well there was really only one way to tell... With a slightly stiff swing of her arm Kayen extended Fateburn and let her power surge, one chance to give a go at hitting Carro with all she had, she had no real way of telling if Carro would have the energy to fend off her attack, she had a feeling he would, the wild roiling power of the form seemed more in line with the ‘Ultra’ form and the untamed version of Super Saiyan, not the ever ‘efficient’ form she was currently using. She REALLY regretted not tossing out the Blood Moon earlier when she was ‘negotiating’ a little extra ‘oomph’ would have been good. In the very moment her power hit its peak Kayen rushed forward, very briefly vanishing from sight, at least in theory she would do so though it was entirely possible Carro’s ability to track energy would be keen enough to keep a lock as her rapid movement aimed to rocket her around to his back “FINAL SLASH!” Kayen roared the power surging once more very suddenly. Once upon a time it would have taken her a while to build up the power for this technique, but with great effort she had cut the time down massively without even losing any power as long as she had full control of her energy.

The fusion's stare was more tired and annoyed than angry. Though they were surprised to see Kayen not even make an effort to evade or defend against their attack- they'd never taken her for a masochist. Concern from Carro's side of the duo began to stir again- even now with his newfound doubts and frustration, he couldn't stop the impulsive disdain for blood and hurt. Maybe this was too much, but that was what Kayen wanted. The feline growled to themselves again. This was stupid. Carro didn't want to give the Queen any of this. The least he could do was make sure Kayen garnered as little satisfaction from this as possible- if she wanted a fight this badly, it would hardly be one.
When Kayen finally moved onto the offense again, both androids' minds quickly shifted to the defense. Right as the pirate tried to strike the duo from behind, the fusion's form would ripple and vanish- Kayen's strongest attack was met with the same effectiveness as trying to cleave a cloud. A swift warp teleported the mech into the skies above, mouth and clawed hands alight with green and orange. No more time would be wasted here.
A thunderous crash echoed through the skies above before a burning rainfall of ki poured from the skies. Dozens of burning lasers just as large as the one that had struck Kayen before fell with typhonic fury, intent to burn and down the saiyan on the spot. But even with the mightiest attack they could muster striking at full force, there was restraint to it. No two blasts would hit the same spot twice to avoid knocking off any limbs, and the later blasts in the barrage would become lighter compared to the initial frenzy, as to not knock Kayen out just yet. The ocean had rippled and swirled with each blast that sunk and fizzled into it, but just as quickly as the storm of energy fell, it faded away.
"GhkKK--" Above the clouds, the fire surrounding the fusion finally wavered. They'd used a lot of energy at once. A familiar, feverish heat ran through them. What wasn't as familiar, though, was an odd weight in their Core. Something felt wrong... Likely just a byproduct of their Overdrive's instability. Carro took the hint, dropping in strength, form shifting back down to take after the President's appearance, though now translucent enough to make out some of the metal beneath.
Carro breathed out a tired, breathless sigh. He almost didn't want to fly down to see what pain he'd invoked on Kayen with that last attack... But he flew down anyways, following wherever Kayen's ki had ended up. Before he headed off to break up the last few fights, there were some very important questions he had to ask Kayen... if she was still even able to answer. He grimaced again at the thought of the pain he'd caused.

Kayen had a lot of hope that she might land the Final Slash, the odds of it actually taking down Carro were VERY low but if it DID hit she was certain it would do a lot of damage, maybe enough to push Carro to increase his and LEO’s power as much as she hoped that this fight would push her, however just as Fateburn was about to cut through the pair they were suddenly gone, Fateburn passed through the air where they had floated just a second maybe even LESS ago with no resistance at all and the power of the Final Slash created a powerful boom as it was simply unleashed on the air and the world. Kayen reached out with her senses to find her opponent only to growl in frustration as she was given the answer before she could even properly lock onto them, the sky rumbled like a storm and Kayen turned just in time to see the downpour begin, but it was not rain. It was power, Kayen chuckled at the sight as she got a read on the total power being put out by the attack, it was tough due to the sheer volume of attacks being sent at her but it pleased her to know that this was very likely the full extent of Carro’s power. Kayen readied herself with what little time she had left and in a show of pure stubbornness fought back against the seemingly endless rain of blasts, beams, and lasers. Each that she blocked or deflected however was countered by a DOZEN striking her, where with the last attack Kayen stubbornly refused to be moved this one was not something she could simply muscle herself at and be left standing where she began. Eventually enough hit her that she could no longer defend, the arm wielding Fateburn too battered and burned to swing the massive blade, the storm eventually battered her down all the way to a small island as finally it began to relent Kayen managed to remain standing for all of a second as she touched down on the island before a few of the last blasts struck and her body gave out, too beaten and without the energy needed to keep standing the Queen fell backward. Every inch of her body was in pain and yet she clung to consciousness for the time being staring up in the sky as Carro and Leo’s power dropped even lower than it had been before. She felt it approaching and the Queen managed a weak chuckle followed promptly by a fit of bloody coughing, despite all her injuries though once Kayen stopped coughing she still wore a smirk, as if SHE had won the day.

Though he had restrained himself as much as he could, Carro couldn't help but to grimace in horror at the affects of his barrage. Kayen sure looked like she had no right to be alive right now with those injuries. "K-kais above, I-I swear I didn't want to hurt you t-that bad! C-can you still hear me?" Even throughout the whole fight, the bottled frustration and world-shaking attacks, Carro bore no hatred for his enemy. Was he warier of her intentions now? Yes. Did he trust her? No. But that powerful concern for those in pain wasn't that easily silenced in his heart. Looking at what he'd done- it did nothing but reaffirm the desperate desire to be anyone but the person who'd hurt and kill like this. If it was what he had to do to protect, he would, but there had to have been a better way...
He just really, really didn't want to have to kill ever again.
Carro shook his head. There was no use thinking on that now. The least he could do was fix this, and ask the newfound, nagging questions in his head if Kayen was still aware enough to respond. He either didn't process or didn't care about the smug grin on the thoroughly bloodied pirate's face. "I, uh, I-I assume you at least have some medical e-equipment on your ship?" He'd carefully move to try and pick up as much as he could of the much, much larger saiyan's body, glancing back up to the looming ship. His eyes trailed to the horizon again. Amara's energy had moved to the fray with Dion, Yogu, and the others, though the distant attacks had slowed down... He still had a bit of time to spare here.
"So. Uh. B-before I take you up there and help the others..." Carro trailed off. He wasn't sure how to word any of the thoughts and emotions in his head right now. "I... I'm sorry. But after this, I just..." This felt horrible. "...The wish. It is not just my choice to make, and it certainly isn't yours. Not after this. Don't get me wrong! I'm grateful for you sparing my friend, and I'll still do everything I can to try and convince the others, but I will not use force. If there's any reasonable alternatives y-you'd want that do not risk others or involve our Dragon Balls, then I'd be willing, but..." Kayen was the last person that deserved her desires over Chime and Oboe. Knowing the two Namekians, they were likely hurting over the choice as well, but he wasn't going to sacrifice his friendship with them for Kayen- not after she couldn't sacrifice her own self-absorbed pursuit of power for his concern for his friends.
"Secondly," Carro wasn't done yet. There was one thing he had left to ask before closing this book. "That "pirate queen" thing you mentioned..." Quickly, Carro raised his free hand in verbal defense, still too nice for his own good. "I-, uh, w-we can discuss it when you're feeling better in depths, obviously, but..." He grit his fangs in anticipation. "Give i-it to me straight. Should I be concerned for my planet?"
No KP action taken.

“I knew what I was getting myself into” Kayen spoke up not giving an answer directly to Carros question but the very fact she gave a response acted as confirmation that she could hear him itself. “Don’t start having a panic attack, I’ll live” Kayen said before coughing a few times once more, she was pleasantly surprised to find she was no longer coughing up MORE blood, just coughing out what remained in her mouth. Progress. Carro remained concerned asking if the Stormbreaker had any medical equipment and Kayen was VERY tempted to say no, just to mess with him, to see what he would do. She doubted LEO had much in the way of medical equipment and it was unlikely Carro himself possessed the training to attend to her wounds properly. He’d surely start freaking out again. “Yeah, we used to just have basic shit, but I had it outfitted with the best tanks the Kingdom had when I took over” Kayen smirked again, they had technically had healing tanks before but they were few and not in ideal shape. Kayen’s smirk quickly faded as Carro chose NOW to be the time where he would admit that their agreement might not be viable. Kayen remained eerily silent as he spoke and then followed it up with another question, perhaps one that would have been better posed BEFORE admitting that he might be going back on their agreement. “Earth is no real use to me, your people don’t fit what I want. It’s as safe as it was before as long as I’m not given reason to change that.” Kayen wanted to continue but needed a moment to catch her breath and grit her teeth in pain, talking was incredibly uncomfortable but what she had to say was important. “If you go back on the agreement, he dies. He’s already all but offered me a chance to do it, I planned on just pummeling him a bit and leaving him in the living world. Don’t think of it as you doing it for ME, remember that my wish is for HER. Nashua has more than earned her revival, for all she’s done for Earth and beyond” In spite of her current predicament Kayen did her best to give a stern look to the President “It’ll be your choice to make when the dragon is summoned, but I’ll make sure she knows you didn’t choose her if you go against our agreement.”
