Aurora had known that things weren't going to go well on Gemini A. That was simply to be expected when such a thing was beginning to 'go down', as the Earthlings said. But what she hadn't expected was for the ship, her ship, to be attacked the barest moment that she and her two passengers exited their travelling function. One moment it was the darkness of space, then the shining blue orb of Gemini A was below them, and as Aurora began to carefully pilot them towards it she had received an alert. "Incomi-!" She would start, before whatever it was that hit them slammed into her ship with a force that tore a hole clean through it. Immediately alarms began to blare, and the carefully tuned mechanics of the ship and its emergency features were completely shredded in that one attack. "Damn it, come on...!" Aurora would yell as she tears through the atmosphere, her two passengers very quickly making their way to the exit. They said their goodbyes, although her only response was a hand wave and the shouted words "I'll meet up with you later! Get going!". The red of the emergency generator lights flooded the interior of the cabin as what few screens still working displayed the spinning and rapidly approaching planet.
"Come on...!" She murmurs to herself, ice beginning to spread rapidly from her position in the ship as she realised that the ship alone wasn't going to be enough. Deep, dark blue frost spread over both the interior and exterior of the ship, even as her scouter began to beep at her, picking... something up. Despite having to concentrate on the rapidly descending ship that had only just now stopped spewing smoke, Aurora glanced upwards, following the tracking of her scouter as it picked up a signature up in the space above her. That had to be the one responsible for attacking them. The one responsible for damaging her ship. Her family's ship. The only thing she had left of them. A growl begins to leave her throat as, with a leap, Aurora rockets up from her seat and through the hole in the top of her transport, bursting through the snow and smoke into the cool and salty Brenchian Air. Beneath her feet the ship's descent began to slow as her magic did its job, and as it roughly collided with the expansive ocean of the planet, its metal would crumple and glass break against her ice as she kept it afloat. It would be needed later. If there was a later.
But right now that wasn't what mattered. What did matter was that they had been attacked by whoever it was up there. Although... it could really only be one person. The Arcosian rocketed out and up, flames beginning to gather around her such was her speed as she tore through the upper atmosphere of the planet. Stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, exosphere until she entered space proper. Spinning, the flames extinguish around her form as a halo of dark, cloudy ice replaces it and she looks about. Where was he? The so called Viceroy of Arcose. The knight. He was the only one that could match the signature she had seen. The only one capable of shooting them down like that. The only one able to recognise her family's ship, from back when things had been... simpler. "Friege." She mutters, looking towards her scouter for her fellow Arcosian. The lapdog that had bowed down to the encroaching Saiyan Kingdom, without standing up for what was right. The very thought of it was enough to break Aurora's usually stoic mask, let alone the fact that he had attacked her companions as well.
Looking around, she realises he was close. The scouter directed her as she sped through the cold vacuum of space, completely comfortable with the lack of rising of her chest as she finally spots him. He was floating far above where the signatures of the other fighters were. A smart choice. Aurora's tail lashed as she sped forward toward him, the purple Arcosian rapidly closing the distance between the two as she brought a fist back. "TRAITOR!" She cries, Ki and snow allowing her voice to travel even through the cold vacuum. Blue energy begins to coat her fist, although flecked with a far darker colour as she finishes closing the distance and goes to deliver a singular, powerful punch to her fellow Arcosian's face. "You come here and attack me?" She continues in incredulity, even as she draws back and aims to deliver a kick to his knee. "Our people are in danger, and you attack me?!" She continues, red eyes flaring as from that knee kick she aims to continue her assault by bringing a fist into the side of his head.
At the activation of her Ki, Aurora could already feel the slight twinge of pain in her chest, but she paid it no mind. Right now, there was far more important things to focus on. "Not only me, but my ship and my friends. Explain yourself, while you still can."

Freige's heart twisted, each pulse of it pushing a new wave of pain through his body. The Venerator was empty today, and it was likely that this was its last flight. His crew didn't need to die with him. He gave another glance down towards the seemingly serene oceanic planet below, and despite knowing full well the situation was handled by all who had passed him into orbit, a lingering regret that he himself would not be fighting still weighed heavy on him. Yet that was not his duty. He would be saving both Gemini and, hopefully, the life of another Arcosian today. Freige hoped with every fiber of his being that he was wrong, that waiting in the upper atmosphere for a certain energy signature to appear would be nothing but futile paranoia. Yet, as a ship nearby finally entered proximity, his eyes screwed shut. "Predictable..." He said sadly, taking a deep breath as he aimed the cannons towards the approaching vessel.
A single button press was all it took, the Arcosian watching in muted despair as the shot tore straight through the other craft. He aimed it where it'd be least likely to hit any passengers or cause it to violently explode, but that was of little solace here. Freige watched with disinterest as two others bailed from the craft, flying down below. They weren't his target. The pilot... Aurora was still at the helm. A layer of ice began to coat the disintegrating alloys of the outer layers, an attempt to keep it intact as it finally came to an abrupt rest, slamming into Gemini A's massive ocean unceremoniously. Freige walked calmly to the ship's exit, hand grasped around Arondite as the exit bay opened peacefully. The cabin de-pressurized, alarms blaring about a breach into the vacuum of space, but he paid them no mind.
His sword ignited, vibrant cyan sputtering dangerously even as no sound came from it. No emotion crossed his face as he eyed the oncoming Arcosian, sword held at his side passively. She at least had either the gall or humor to call him a traitor, of all things. "Traitor to you, not to others." Her fist almost connected, the attack missing by centimeters as Freige moved ever-so-slightly out of the way. Her kick, not nearly as powerful, made contact with his bio-armor, Freige grunting from the impact. "So kind of you now to refer to our Brenchian neighbors as 'our people' after you nearly caused an ice age over on Gemini B." He replied a frown ghosting across his face for a split second. "You were always so irrational and impulsive. Stop to think for a minute if the Kingdom even wants this planet destroyed. The answer is no, in case you were wondering."
Her second fist caught the flat edge of his blade, energy sparkling as Aurora's Ki no doubt protected her. "Yet the first thing you think to do when the slightest hint of a threat to a planet crops up in Kingdom territory is hop on over with your merry band to try and play the Hero." Freige quickly raised his palm, an energy wave bursting forth with full vitriol. "Well, you may have hidden your own atrocities and crimes for whomever you brought with you, but I'd like to say that Kayen, Scallio, and the latter's mother are all present. And the Queen aims to stop this madness, potentially for good. You know what that means?" The Arcosian floated back, taking a wide swing with Arondite, sending forth a crescent blade of energy. "You would have not only rallied three Saiyans against you but also would have been killed. Delaying the actual saving of Gemini and then getting murdered doesn't sound like a very solid plan, does it?" Freige readied himself for Aurora's counter-strike, sword held close in preparation. "As for your friends, I truly meant them no harm, hence my shot aiming only to cripple your ship as opposed to destroying it entirely. I wish them only the best in helping Kayen and Carro Hofferson handle the situation against a lone Saiyan. So, if that explanation satisfies you, perhaps you can simply accept that this isn't going to be a free good reputation generator for you and sit it out."

"You are a traitor to what is right. Defending those who conquered our home." Aurora growls in response, her ki clashing with Friege's sword and producing a myriad of sparks as they floated there. Red eyes met red as she glared at him, her usually stoic expression now far more emotional, although that was something only the two of them could tell. To a non-Arcosian, it would simply seem like the two were s impassive as machines. His mention of her actions at Gemini B made her falter, only for a moment, before her anger flared once more. A small part of her chuckled darkly at how ineffective her training at learning to be calm seemed to be, but she ignored that for now. "What I did was a mistake, I know, but even you should know I harmed no innocents that day. Those soldiers deserved what little they were given." She leaned into her fist, her superior strength slowly beginning to push it back, before his arm comes up and she was forced to disengage. Spinning out of the way, she barely dodges the beam of energy shot at her, the edge of it clipping her elbow as she moves to the side.
"I came to make sure the populace got out." She says, letting out a 'tsk' of pain at the slightly burnt skin. "Because while those down there are playing the Hero," She gestures a hand towards the softly glowing pinpricks of Ki far below them, "I'm trying to make sure there aren't any causalities from them having their fun. A stray blast like that one did nothing to me, but if it had been aimed at the planet when it missed, that's someone dead. A family gone in a flash of light. Surely you can see the logic in that even through the veneer you've pulled over your own eyes." At the crescent wave of energy sent toward her, Aurora waves her hand violently. In response her halo of ice shifts, forming a small barrier in front of her for the crescent slash to crash and break itself against. "Your queen has her own crimes to answer for. And you think I don't realise what would have happened, if I appeared and showed my face to then? I'm more than capable of staying quiet. Or I was, until you shot down my ship and my companions." She was beginning to get a little tired of his usual calm and ridiculing attitude. How had she ever found it attractive?
Her barrier of ice then began to warp, forming shards that then sped towards the knight. Of course, she knew they weren't going to hit him, his blade and skill more than capable of reducing them to little more than fragments and steam. Yet that was all she needed. Following behind the shards, she would attempt to use their miniature explosions upon impact with his blade as a smoke screen by aiming a blow at his sword arm's shoulder and spinning to slam her tail into his jaw. "A ship of that size doesn't get the luxury of 'not meaning any harm' when it's shooting at one the size of my own." She growls, continuing her spin in an attempt to then kick him in the throat. "I don't care about my reputation, Friege. I don't care what others think of me, or how many enemies I have to make. I'm not going to allow anything to get in my way. Not Scallio. Not Kayen. Not the Saiyan Kingdom." Her other foot would lash out in an attempt to once again hit that same knee, even as she finishes her spin and comes the right way up, a look of determination on her face.
"And certainly not you. So either do what you do best and roll over, or attack me, lapdog."

"And who made you the judge of all that is 'right'?" Freige retorted. "I sympathize with your position to a degree, Aurora, I do. Yet your methodology, your attitude, your actions only serve to further dig a rut beneath both yourself and Arcose as a whole. Is it 'right' to abandon the people I am sworn to protect to go off and fight in some rebellion? Is it 'right' to leave them solely in the hands of said conquerors while I have a chance to ensure their safety if I am there, to begin with?" Her excuse for Gemini was a thin one, the Arcosian frowning. "It's nice to know that soldiers carry the sins of their rulers. Should we put all of the remaining Fleet to death for their crimes, too?" Freige scoffed, head shaking. "You, with your power, had absolutely nothing to worry about when it came to standard soldiers and you knew that. Yet you treated their lives as bargaining chips."
"Oh, and now you claim that fighting at such a level can endanger innocents? And, tell me, is that not exactly what you did on Gemini B? You may have not harmed any on purpose, but surely continuing your fight with Nashua and the Konatsian could've led to the same scenario. Unless you want to tell me that it'd be the fault of them if a result happened, that they should've just let you conquer freely." His energy wave was met with a barrier of ice, the knight unperturbed as he watched on. "Though, just so you know, the battle is currently positioned as far from cities as possible. And the closest one is thousands of meters underwater surrounded by blast shields. A few Saiyan soldiers are also stationed here, actually. You'd like for them to get him, wouldn't you?" His secondary attack was blocked, too, yet Freige showed no signs of distress.
"I'm aware of Kayen's past." He snapped back, leveling his weapon at her. "You act like I'm some sort of brainwashed mongrel. No. I don't like her, I don't like the Kingdom, and I don't like the hold they have on Arcose. Yet I still work with them, because I see it as the safest way to operate. Under my current administration, daily life has hardly even changed. The people are free to do as they please, but you who are so quick to thrash and writhe because of a perceived injustice are the ones who make it worse. Nashua was a far better ruler than Kayen could ever hope to be. She, miraculously, had compassion for our people and situation. Yet I hear it was you who went to Earth and attacked her randomly because you can't control yourself." Arondite made quick work of the small projectiles, Freige following up shortly with a block to Aurora's initial attack, her tail whipping across his face and jerking his head back slightly.
"Forgive me if I find a claim that you of all people could stay undetected and silent unfounded. Causing a ruckus is what you're best at." Aiming a kick at the same spot she had hit before was foolish, Freige simply sliding under it in the freeform of space, aiming to slash the girl across her torso with Arondite. "I'm aware of the risks it posed, yes." He said dryly. "But as you said, like on Gemini, intentions mean everything, no? So if I didn't hurt your friends, no harm was done." Her final kick was intercepted by the flat of his blade, hand twisting the sword to point downwards. "And when you cause only pain and more destruction via your ceaseless and reckless actions and choices, the only victory afforded to you will be that you stuck true to your own moral code. You seem almost proud of the fact that you never stop to consider the thoughts and viewpoints of other people, honestly." He almost laughed at her insult. "Better to be seen as an obedient dog than the rabid beast you embody."

"Is it right to simply roll over, the way you did? To abandon everything our people stood for, and leave them at the mercy of an enemy we cannot predict without so much as an attempt to stand up for ourselves?" Aurora counters, shaking her head, before a frown crosses her face. "And yes. Those soldiers were brutes, put there to make sure no one disputed the Saiyan rule. As for the members of the fleet, I would happily sentence them. The majority of them aided in the bombing of Vegeta, killing thousands, enslaving more, and besides that would be considered wanted criminals by any normal society. The fleet was scum, and even you can't say otherwise." Her eyes then narrow as he addresses her use of the soldiers as bargaining chips. "Yes. I did use them as that, and I hold no regrets. I was outclassed from the very beginning, and needed what little advantages I could get. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of underestimating just how powerful certain people could be." At the very mention of such an incident she felt her fire begin to die a little, her chest sparking and sending a lightning bolt of pain through her body.
"And no, it wouldn't have." She answers him in all certainty. "Any locals were more than far enough away, and I chose that volcano as a location specifically because of the fact that none lived nearby such an active thing. If they hadn't intervened, I would have allowed all who wished to to leave. My goal was to create a haven, not a competitor." She glances down towards the ocean world far below them, teeth grinding. "Was." She mutters to herself, before glancing up as he spoke about the cities, a frown on her face. "And no, I would like for those soldiers to leave. This isn't their world, and it never was. They're invaders, much like he is." There wasn't really any clarification needed as to who 'he' was. She then registered how he had snapped at her words when she mentioned Kayen's past, a small grin beginning to form that didn't make it to her face. She had her way in. A way to destabilise him. Now to simply double down on that angle. If she made him angry, made him lose focus, she could defeat him easier than if the Arcosian managed to retain his cool.
"You may talk big, Friege." Aurora begins, grunting as her first blow was blocked and her tail collided with his face. Good, that should rattle him somewhat. "But at the end of the day, all your reasoning changes nothing. You may justify your actions however you wish, but the fact remains that when push came to shove... you did nothing. You may sing the praises of a conqueror all you want, or try to tell yourself that you're better off and that things could be worse." Her foot swings through air as he simply slides under her blow, Aurora barely able to bring the armour on her forearm up in time to fend off the attempted slash at her stomach. "But in the end, you work for a criminal worse than I could ever be." His words about intentions stung her, although Aurora made sure not to show it as she raises a brow, backing off. "You use my mistake against me, and then justify yourself with it." She states, sounding hardly surprised. "I freely admit that my actions on Gemini B were a mistake. I was... not very stable. A lifetime of suppressing my true power, then suddenly being flush with it temporarily conquered me. I would not do it again. However, what is done is done. We live with our choices now."
Blue ki wraps around her foot, protecting the appendage even as it goes to wrap around the blue blade and keep it there. Following that, her left fist rockets forward towards her opponent's stomach, obvious and straight, but with a force behind it that made it unable to be ignored. Yet that wasn't all, as while her left arm goes forward, her right arm draws back and snaps, steaming coming from it as its size quadruples, rocketing forward with the intent to crash into his jaw. The transformation would quickly begin to spread from her arm throughout the rest of her body, her foot wrapping more firmly around the ki of the blade as Aurora enters her Cyclopsian form. Bio armour flows and muscle intensifies as her mask flows over her mouth and her horns stretch.

"I'm glad to know that you think of every soldier as a mindless barbarian... as long as they are Saiyan, of course. As for their mere presence, yes, one typically has some sort of force to uphold new rule and laws upon a planet. The way you speak of them makes it seem as if this feeble-minded musclebound club-wielding idiots went around ravaging Brench and its' people... which they didn't. Life hardly even changed save for the banner of 'Saiyan rule'. Yet regardless your ego and arrogance will twist those facts to no end so it can suit your narrative and needs. 'Look the poor Arcosian just wants to free people from the tyrannical rule!', and yet the fact of the matter is that these same people you hold so much unfounded disdain for have done next to nothing to 'oppress' people. Life for the majority has continued, unaltered, yet you simply can't STAND the thought of being poor and oppressed by an invading force so you decide to flit across the galaxy, causing trouble and threatening to murder squadrons of soldiers simply because they're Saiyan and therefore must be evil and wrong." Deflect, deflect, deflect. That was all Aurora had done so far. Anything to shift the majority of the blame off her back and paint the Kingdom in as negative a light as possible.
"But no, I am wrong and evil and so is the Kingdom... because you say so. Because you claim to be creating 'havens', because you claim to be fighting for 'justice', because you pay - at best - shallow lip service to the idea of entertaining the other perspective for once and seeing that what you are doing isn't 'necessary for the good of the people'. You're an entitled, hate-filled brat on an ego trip after attaining a higher level of power and there is no circumventing that." The other Arcosian thought herself the lone emissary of what was right, the sole arbiter of justice and the judge, jury, and executioner. "However, unlike you, and as I have stated before - I see some merit to your side. Buried underneath your sloppy attempts, your overly violent methods, and general arrogance there is a person who deeply cares about their people and their safety. I can still see that even now... even after all you've done. Yet at the same time the way you go about it lies solely on incorrect facts and assumptions."
If one was to believe Aurora without question, the Saiyan Kingdom would come off as solely evil fascists who regularly stripped the autonomy and liberties of the Arcosians, injecting themselves into their culture and beliefs. And yet that wasn't the truth - not even close. "And even when I 'talk big', it doesn't change the fact that the cornerstone of your prejudice and hatred is weak and easily crumbled. Have you even bothered to try and learn a THING about Arcose in its current state, or has the idea of playing Hero against an 'oppressive regime' clouded your mind so much that you can't accept anything but your fabricated truth and conviction? The people are free, Saiyan presence is nil, and the planet is at peace - a peace that it hasn't been able to experience for decades. Is it truly in name alone that causes you to lash out? That your pride just simply cannot handle being 'controlled' by someone else despite, in practice, that not even being the case? You may claim that I do nothing, but YOU do TOO MUCH far too quickly."
Freige huffed, a slight smile forming on his face. "Ah, it was less justification and more 'sarcasm' and pointing out hypocrisy when you try to claim such a thing as faults of my own. I do suppose that it isn't my usual territory to tread." He stretched a bit, his sword swinging to and fro idly. "Though justifying crimes and terror by pointing out other crimes and terror seems to be one of your strong suits." Apparently she thought she could weasel her way into his defenses by attacking Kayen again. Right, as if that wasn't the most obvious emotional barb Aurora could've attempted to exploit. "Yes," He said, deadpan. "Kayen herself is a criminal. Yet she hardly has a hand in... anything on Arcose." Freige seemed unconcerned as she caught his blade, sensing picking up on her mid-battle transformation as he reacted accordingly. With a quick flick of his hand, the blade on his weapon subsided to a mere nub, the other Arcosian losing her grip on the weapon entirely as he drew it back. His own form shifted in a sleek manner, Freige's body shifting as it grew larger and bulkier but otherwise visually consistent. He leaned back slightly, Aurora's attack missing by centimeters as Arondite re-ignited, the blade larger and even more volatile as it fed on its' wielders' newfound power. Freige attempted a simple, straightforward stab to the gut with it, hoping to possibly catch Aurora off-guard with his swift and efficient counter.

"You can speak platitudes and pleasantries all you want about those who conquered our home until every light in the universe is extinguished, Friege." Excuses, excuses and more excuses. That's all the other Arcosian seemed to have. Either doctored truths or half lies,, never a straight answer. "You say there was no change? That those soldiers weren't used? That the Saiyans simply appeared and that all were fine with it? I knew you were blind to what you didn't want to see, Friege, but I didn't realise you were stupid. Look around you. Look at us. Recall all you can about our childhoods, about everything we've seen and heard. All the lessons upon Arcosian superiority, the infectious hatred for the Saiyans brought about by schooling. You may have been born with that silver spoon, but my people, our people aren't all rich like yourself. Do you really think that when the supposed 'enemy' came, that when those that we were told were so below us and told us to accept the new flag and bow to new masters, that there was no bloodshed?" Aurora was almost incredulous in her tone of voice at the man's naivete. The Friege she had known was far more intelligent than whatever this... idealistic buffoon was.
"I don't know if you were told differently, but I know for a fact there was unrest. That our people, with stronger spines than yours, tried to reject the rule. And what do you think happened after that? Hm?" She would pause for a moment, a brow raising from behind her mask as she allows the question to hang. Aurora wasn't sure if he had simply been fed false information, or had elected to ignore all that happened. He couldn't possibly be that stupid. She knew him, and even after her words Aurora had a respect for the man's intelligence. Millennia of bred hatred doesn't just disappear in an instant, especially when one side begins to call itself the 'victor'. "You call me a brat, that I am on little more than a power high. I accuse you, Friege Feran, of being nothing more than a snivelling coward that happily allows others to be hurt just as long as you aren't. You hide behind warped logic used to justify your actions, skulking about and cowering at the very idea of standing up for yourself. You bow before monsters simply because they are stronger, and I highly suspect the only reason you're here is because you have attained a similar power to the one I have and think you have a chance."
"The people are free? Free? The flags of another nation hangs over them, from a hostile takeover that was only months ago." She responds incredulously to his claim, brain almost in pain from what he was saying. "I have seen more of our people than you ever have, Feran." She spits the word of the powerful family, shaking her head. "I have seen the holo vids of the takeover. Of those lost and considered collateral damage." Her eyes twitch, and for a moment Aurora stills. Screams flash through her mind. Memories of... of explosions. Lights in the sky. The feeling of being thrown backward. The... the blood. It was everywhere. It was- it was too mu- "Lives-" She stutters, bringing herself back out with the aid of the pain sparking in her chest. "Lives lost, and never to be replaced, due to the actions of- of mad men and those who wouldn't blink at the loss of our people. Who didn't." She shakes her head, fists clenching as the blade between their fingers disappears. "I have seen the recordings of Arcose, recent ones. I have heard the voice of the people, seemingly clearer from Earth of all places than you can from your seat upon Arcose. There may not be troops walking the streets but that doesn't mean they're not scared. Peace does not, and will never, come from when an enemy comes along and tells all shut up or suffer. Which is what they did."
His next words made her eyes widen. Once again she stilled, as she simply took in what he said about Kayen. "You knowingly work for a criminal and a murderer. You obey the one that endangers the lives of all our people, who would have no issue sacrificing them. And you just... accept it." She says incredulously, before a sigh leaves her and a sense of defeat floods through her body. In all honesty... she didn't know why she even bothered to speak in the first place. He obviously wasn't going to budge, and she wouldn't either. She couldn't. It was too important, and... Well. "You know what?" Aurora starts again, her titanic arm flashing to the side as her forearm collides with Arondite's blade, knocking it aside and continuing forward in an attempt to smash into Friege's shoulder. Success or failure, Aurora would simply float back after that and look towards him. "Lets just... finish this. I've got better things to do and lives to save, so full power. I'll end this quickly. There's no real point in talking anymore. Neither of us are going to change our minds." A small smile. "We're too stubborn."

"Of course there were dissidents," Freige said calmly. "There will always be when something new happens. The Arcosians with 'strong spines' choose to fuel themselves with prejudice and succumb to their basest desires to revolt... and what would it have accomplished? We'd be about as free as we are now, except this time when their legions of Super Saiyans came back they'd know that Arcose would never accept them peacefully. That, despite their attempts to try and firmly end this hostility in one of the softest ways they could, their efforts were met with base, racist space lizards too conceited to look past their own nose." He shook his head slightly. "And say I was a glorious, brave, justified and righteous freedom fighter back then and our whole planet fought back. ...We'd lose. The two of us, as far as I can tell, are the strongest of our entire species and I can say with confidence that you'd have trouble even winding Kayen whatsoever. And THEN the terrible regime you keep rambling about may have actually happened - it could have ended with the dissenters complete annihilation. Is it right for them to take us in the first place? No. Of course it isn't, Aurora, and I never claimed that. Yet what I have done is not only secure peace but also saved the lives of countless 'strong-willed' rebels by pardoning or simply exiling them to nearby star systems."
Of course, in some way, Aurora's accusations weren't wrong. Freige simply shrugged listlessly, knowing full way anything he said would be twisted and spit back as an insult to him. "If using tactics to secure a free future for the planet as opposed to directionless violence is cowardice, then I embrace that title. Do you really think I am wholly content to be in this situation, Arctos? Is it really so hard to consider that, perhaps, I am not a weak-willed dog that laps at the boots of foreigners and are instead just... just an Arcosian of unimportance thrust into a situation where he took the best and most immediate path to ease the suffering of the people around him?" It was mostly rhetorical. Aurora had an undying, blind hatred from him and anything that wasn't complete and total ""freedom"" for Arcose. "I don't think I have a chance at injuring you, let alone 'stopping' you." He said plainly. "That wasn't my intention or goal. It was simply to wrest you away from the planet, both for your sake and for the sake of others. And so far, I've achieved at least that."
Ah, of course, and she dragged the... 'collateral' into this. "And you think I haven't?" He said quietly. "I'm not that disconnected. I've walked the streets of the capital, taken words from the people, worked and toiled with them before being given a seat of power, yet with every chance you get you try to distance me from any sort of goodness. Would that make it easier for you? For me to splay my arms, laugh evilly, declare the Saiyans the ultimate lifeforms, and to be clad in all-black so that you can valiantly defeat me?" He laughed a cold, dry laugh. Maybe he'd do just that! "Please, if nothing else, you must understand that I don't think my choice was necessarily wholly correct. It is bloody, imperfect, and overall no matter where I look the road is paved with pain and strife. I could mention how actual invading forces were limited to mostly the two Super Saiyans and that all other 'attacks' were byproducts of either accidents or misfires, yet that wouldn't excuse the end results. I AM scared, Aurora. I'm terrified because I was never born for this, as much as people like to mock my upbringing. I didn't choose to be born rich, I didn't choose to be raised like I was, I didn't even necessarily WANT to be the Arcosian Nashua picked to rule in her stead. Yet I accepted anyway, a faint spark of hope residing in me that maybe... I could make a difference. If fighting wouldn't work then I could mitigate the terror as much as I could."
It was a no-win situation for both of them. Freige was correct yet so was Aurora. Up and down the merry-go-round they went... "Yet still I hold fast to my conviction that my choice was just. That fighting back or stirring the common people to arms would be only worse for them and still results in a loss for us. Opposed to accepting Kayen, what would you have me do? Even back then it would take hardly a thought for the Saiyan to eviscerate me. I find it deplorable, yet it's obvious that you see it as not enough. You want us all to thrash and writhe to our last breath because it, in your eyes, is the fairy-tail perfect way of death. Better to have your life cut short in some pursuit of an implacable ideal rather than making the best out of it, right?" Aurora's counter-attack was sloppy, weakened by Arondite's blade as Freige effortlessly shifted around it. His gaze shifted to the planet below, frowning slightly as distant Power Level was snuffed out, the feeling accompanied by a distant and dim yellow flash of light from one of the oceans. Freige sighed longingly, soaking in the site of a planet one last time before turning back to Aurora. "I hope you can find some semblance of the justice you seek." He intoned genuinely, shoulders sagging. "I've made peace with my lot, for the most part. ...All I ask is that you either vaporize what's left behind or bury me somewhere."

"They were met with those willing to stand up for themselves." Aurora responds harshly, before pausing slightly and shaking her head. "But... yes, I know that for the majority of them, all it was was... blind pride. A millennium's worth of hatred, so carved into their souls that there was no way they could see beyond it." The very thought of it was enough to half deflate the Arcosian. In certain regards, Friege was correct. As much as Aurora would wish for each and every Arcosian that fought back to have simply done it out of compassion and fear for others... well. She wasn't a Saiyan. Both herself and Friege were too realistic to entertain such a delusion. To the two of them, the other was a dreamer. To those outside, they would merely be seen as terribly realistic and down to earth. In a way... that was the the curse of being one of their people. A cold intelligence unburdened by mammalian compulsions. They weren't cold, by any means, but things for them were simply... different. "But you can't tell me that there weren't those who did it out of an attempt to stand up for others who couldn't, or wouldn't. It was foolish and they were beaten down, but it was better than doing nothing."
He had a point about what would happen after. There was no denying it, that that was most likely what would have happened, but Aurora still shook her head. "I'm not stupid Friege. I know that. That's why I left. To get strong enough to actually make a difference. I have a long way to go, I know. I'm still behind, but i'm catching up. And i'll help our people, even if it costs my life in the process." Her red eyes stare into his intently. Death wasn't something Aurora liked to think about. It was... well. She didn't fear it. She feared the fact that she didn't fear death. It was normal to be afraid of dying, and Aurora... wasn't fond of the feeling of longing that filled her the moment she thought about such a concept. Now that the afterlife had been confirmed... It would be all too easy. The only things that really stood in the way of her taking action upon such feelings were The Mission and ... burgeoning feelings for a Saiyan. "There is so much there I could dispute. That I could fight over, and try to convince you about." She starts, although the shaking of her head never stopped. "But..." She pauses for a moment, before sighing. "I'm sick of our people and our homes being fought over like toys between children, Friege." She starts suddenly, gesturing down towards the world full of Arcosians, even as there was a flash of light and her scouter beeps at the sudden absence of a power level.
"Every other race has a champion. Even the earthlings. There's more Saiyans than I can count gallivanting around the universe, a lot of them attaining super saiyan almost as if with ease. Majinns, ancient horrors, Namekians, Demons, Ogres and a thousand other races." Aurora knew this wasn't anything relevant, and all in all didn't much matter, but she figured that if she could say it to anyone... it would be him. The only other of their kind who had reached the same level as her. "I became this strong, did everything I've done, to try and give our kind that. To let us finally even the playing field and be considered equals, rather than just the next thing to pass around as this universe is want to do to such things. I know we have to do this. To fight. But I want you to know I take no pleasure in depriving our kind of such a boon. You're... a good person, Friege. Far better than I am, at the end of the day. You're intelligent, and kind, and in another life I believe we may have been happy together. It's a shame how everything has... turned out." A sigh leaves her, the sound filtered through her bio gem mask and creating a sort of distorted sound that travelled between the two and the vacuum they found themselves in.
She could feel the pain in her chest from where her bio gem was sparking, and knew it was only going to get worse as she pushed herself into her most powerful form. Doing so right now would be dangerous, as not being fully prepared to do so would hurt rather fantastically. But as she looked towards the less winded Friege... Aurora reasoned she most likely wouldn't get the opportunity to catch her breath. "When I beat you, and on the off chance you don't escape before kill you.." She starts, focusing as her ki began to spool. She needed to... to find the flows within her body. Bring them together. Soon... "Where's the place you wish to be buried?" To kill Friege... it was anathema to her. The very idea of it. Killing anyone was. But she couldn't afford to give him the idea that she wasn't willing to, otherwise he would fight with a certainty in his safety that would put her behind. And there were more things at stake here than just the two of them.

Freige rumbled, his fist clenching tightly as he felt his power pool together. The style of combat he specialized in was especially useful for preserving stamina... and against Aurora, he seemed to have a slight advantage in terms of energy. "It would be easier for both of us if this whole ordeal was more clear cut." He stated simply, eyes closing. "If one side was clearly the more corrupt or monstrous, then perhaps it... it wouldn't make this decision so hard. To stand as two of the most powerful of our kind on opposite sides of the fence is perhaps one of the greatest ironies our species has endured." Yet was there any point in the repeated banter of woes and viewpoints anymore? It was clear the two could never see eye to eye on this subject, so their clash was inevitable. Even if it meant marching to his death, Freige could not allow Aurora to disturb Gemini below.
"Upon the melted plateaus near Freeza Capital, by the gathering of the Froz Trees... that is where I request to be laid to rest. You remember where it is, don't you? The place where'd we first met..." His eyes opened to stare back at Aurora, the Arcosian who'd he known a lifetime ago. "It always calms me to go there. Even now, I admit..." It was a reprieve, a place to temporarily set aside his doubts and fears. He released Arondite for a moment, the weapon floating in space with its' blade pointing to the planet below. Freige spread his arms wide, a small blue shimmer encasing his body. "I have never taken this form before," He said factually, bio-armor plates starting to shift and darken. "So I figured I may as well take that joke seriously."
White turned to black, vibrance fading as Freige's visage turned much gloomier. Curved horns took the place of fins. Spikes and jagged edges replaced the smooth interlocking plates of his base form, and his height and size increased considerably. Even his gems dimmed from their normal luminance, matching the tone of his new armor set. With a great sigh, Freige's hand wrapped around Arondite's hilt once more. His power shot to new heights, eclipsing his previous form by two times the amount of force. It was nothing compared to Aurora when she took her similarly powerful transformation, but Freige hoped his energy lead at least gave him but a moment to land a solid hit on her. The Arcosian's palm extended a neutral expression set on his face as a large bluish-white hued ball formed. "And so, it starts." Without further warning or delay, the orb turned into a massive shockwave of energy at Freige's behest, streaking across the openness of space as it headed straight for Aurora. Fully expecting some sort of response, he rushed in soon after, gripping his blade tightly as he began to make measured and powerful swings at Aurora, aiming for mostly grazing or parting blows rather than brutal amputation or impalement. The Arcosian body was more than hardy enough to survive such injuries, but Freige was simply testing the waters for now rather than committing to a full-on barrage.

Aurora stayed silent, eyes downcast as she acknowledged his words. He was correct, of course. He very rarely wasn't. "Ironic..." SHe begins, looking up towards him as her fists clench. He was ready to transform, and she knew she wasn't going to be given the chance to meet him. Already, her internal engine begin to stir as she prepared to transform into her true self. It wasn't as strong as her form- their form, but if her maths was correct it would be enough for now. "And yet... somehow fitting." She finishes, that small smile staying behind her mask as she looked down towards the blue marble. "How very Arcosian, to be fighting over trying to achieve the same thing." The words broke her already shattered heart, as were his next ones. Slowly she nodded at his words. Yes. She remembered. "How could I forget?" She whispers, unsure as to if he could even hear her. it was an involuntary action. But... Well. She needed to fight back the small urge to... to do something. Cry, perhaps. If she could even do that anymore. This isn't what she wanted. It wasn't even what he wanted. But it was what needed to be done.
She watched silently as Friege transformed, her own body responding in an attempt to match his whilst conserving her own energy. As his armour turned black, her form slimmed down. As spikes appeared, wings tipped with bio gems burst from her back. As his armour interlocked, the spikes along her body and blades upon her arms materialised into life. And as his gems dimmed, hers transformed and brightened, Aurora's regal mantle settling into place. Settling into her true form, Aurora fought past the developing lump in her throat, trying to swallow past it. All her life she had suppressed this form, showing it only very rarely. She had been bullied, teased, and rejected because of it. Friege was.. well. She had shown him. He was one of the few Arcosians her winged form, far more fanciful than her station would suggest, wouldn't surprise. She watched as he reached a hand out towards her, not attempting to dodge. She couldn't afford to expend any energy. This was... this was something she needed to take on with all her might. So she faced the beam that came out head on, her wings folding around her into a tight ball in order to take the brunt of the blow.
The beam impacted with enough force to make her scream in pain, even through the deadened nerves of her bio armour as her wings half melted beneath the heat. Thrown backwards by the blast, Aurora grits her teeth as her body becomes little more than a purple blur against the sky for those below. Quickly uncurling once free of the blast, Aurora's tails come forward in an effort to block Friege's blows, groans coming from her as his blade cuts into the flesh of them. She just needed to... hold on a little longer... Her arms come up, crystal blades chipping slightly at the force behind his blows as her own meet his sword. Just... a... little...
She was ready.

The burst of power flooded through Aurora's body the moment her ki managed to replenish, the Arcosian's ruby red eyes closing for just a moment as she continued to fend off the attacks from her former... friend. She could feel the multitude of flows throughout her body. Spiritual, Physical, Magical. They pulsed and waned normally, yet now all they did was surge, filled to the brim with power as she fought. Taking a breath, the Arcosian flicks her arm to send Friege's sword arm to the side with a deflect in order to buy herself the momentary amount of time needed to grab those flowing lines of energy, to bring them together, and to embrace the power that came with them. They merged within her as they met, forming one perfect flow within her body. Her muscles tensed and grew, Arcosian might activating to do what it did best: Fighting her own people. Her wings flexed, jewels expanding and beginning to glow a soft blue light to match the Viceroy's own as each and every crystal blade felt the ki channelled through them and into the infamous form of a ki blade, outnumbering the Knight's own to an almost ridiculous degree.
Purple deepened into a deep, royal blue, Aurora's armour fading and her skin darkening slightly in response. A cocoon of dark blue magic swirled around Aurora as her wings formed a protective shell against any incoming attacks that may interrupt the transformation. Then, after what was simultaneously an age and a single, bare moment... her eyes snap open, and with a roar, a surge of sheer ki and magic bursts from her form in all directions as the cocoon explodes outwards and her wings flare. There were no words from her as she stared down Friege, knowing that all that needed to be said already had been. All that remained was the simple act of doing the deed, and putting him down. With a blur, she crosses the short distance in space between them, fist rearing back to deliver a shattering blow to his sternum. The clap of the force of the blow was heard as it rippled through their ki, distorted but still significant even as she followed up the attack. A chop to the throat, a clap to the ears, a punch in the direction of his nose and perfect jawline. Her tails speared over her shoulders, aiming to slash at the inside of his arms even as, with a twist, she slashes her left arm ki blade in an attempt to sever his right one.
And even then she wasn't done, as the emotions of this form and of everything that was happening began to get to her. With a growl, the Arcosian brings both fists up and clasps them together, intending to slam them into Friege's skull and send him hurtling towards the planet where the others were fighting.

Aurora's fist impacted against Friege's stomach, his bio armour crumpling beneath her own might as the tremendous blow simply tore through any defence he might have prepared. Her throat crumpled his airway for a brief moment, cutting off any flow to the brain. Her clap upon his ears sent a ringing sensation throughout his mind, disorienting the man and disrupting his sense of balance. The blow to his nose elicited tears, prompting an instinctual welling of tears within his eyes, aiding to blur vision and blind him. Then, a powerful blow to the side of his jaw, momentarily disrupting blood flow to the brain and rattling it around in its skull. From over each shoulder her razored tails sped forwards, their many blades shredding the flesh of his arms and promptly disabling them long enough for the final part of Aurora's nearly unending assault. The red of her left arm blade began to glow a soft purple as the blue of her ki mingled with the blade, overwhelming and enveloping it as it lengthened into a smooth purple crescent of her own power. Then, without so much as a single moments hesitation, Aurora's body twisted and that blade moved to slice through armour, flesh, muscle and bone, then back out the other side as Friege's arm was cleanly separated from his body.
The appendage floated in the vacuum, blood from the wound splashing across Aurora's face as her clasped hands slam directly into his collarbones. For a moment, the world around them seems to almost warp with the force of the impact, a pause in time... before the enemy Arcosian's body blurs away and towards the planet. Panting, Aurora pauses only to wrap one of her tails around the hilt of Arondite before rocketing back towards him. There was no time left. She could feel the others beneath them already finishing up their own fights, bursts of power echoing through the air. She needed to help the others. She had to. No matter what it cost. No matter what she needed to do. It was this motivation, these thoughts that prompted her to attempt something she had only done once before in real combat, with disastrous results. With a growl, Aurora focuses and sharpens her mind, pushing her concentration and mental fortitude (not to mention physical) to the absolute limit for the barest moment as six evenly placed, thin beams of ice materialise in a hexagon around her.
The beams darted ahead of her as she sped forward, closing the gap between her and the hurtling knight as fast as she could, the blur orb behind him eventually filling her view as flames of reentry began to erupt over her skin. Ignoring the fire despite the pain, Aurora focuses and channels more of her energy into the glow of her arm, the blade quickly looking far more unstable than before, pulsating and streaming with power and flickering between blue and purple. Then, the flames were extinguished as they entered the atmosphere proper, rapidly closing towards the hard surface of the water. Taking a breath, Aurora spreads her arms wide, tapping into her magical prowess as two things happen simultaneously. First, the tiny streams of ice begin to move in mechanical, yet generally haphazard directions, jerking from side to side, up and down as they close in towards Friege. The second is the manifestation of four titanic pillars of ice from the ocean below, the dark and jagged magic erupting with enough force to create waves as they twist and tangle together to form a singular point, directly beneath Friege and angled up at him.
Putting on an extra, final burst of speed, Aurora then finishes closing the distance between her and her former friend. "I'm sorry." Were the only words to leave her lips as the last of her energy is channelled into the blades upon both her arms, their length widening by metres as she crosses them to form an X. Then, her beams would attempt to impact against his body, aiming to freeze him over for the brief moment between then and her blades colliding with hi body with enough force to send the ocean rippling and ice cracking. From there, if she was successful in landing her attack, his body would be launched into the titanic spear of ice below him with enough force to shatter it, going all the way through and dropping into the ocean. Aurora wasn't sure if it would kill him. She... she hoped it wouldn't. But there was no more time. She couldn't have afforded to hold back. Already her heart was screaming at her, and she knew that much further... well. Either way, someone was going to die at the end of this.
For a moment, she would hover there above the water, waiting to see if Friege would emerge. Then, at either possibility, she would eventually turn her back and go to leave, Arondite clutched within a hand.
There wasn't time to mourn. She had work to do.
Aurora has landed her MA3 Obliterate, for 1,924,000! Aurora has used her SIG: Absolute Zero, for 3,193,840!! Lethal unless you activate Friege's Durability trait, in which case will be changed to be aiming to Knock out PL: 1/7 %: 89% Attempting Exit

Freige's eyes were shut, his sensing reaching out to the conflict far below - content that the meaningless violence was coming to a close. Hence, his job to stall Aurora was no longer needed. Resistance faded from his body, lips levying a heavy sigh as the other Arcosian finally gathered the strength necessary to enter her own ascended form, energy rocketing past him entirely. It was a good thing it took so long for her to reach this point. Had this bout started at their strongest, the Viceroy had doubts he'd have been able to successfully block her off from Gemini for long. A tired, resigned look crossed his eyes as Aurora crashed forth in all her rage. No means of resistance lashed back at Aurora as she batted him around, sharp needles of pain racing across the Arcosian's body as he was tossed about like a ragdoll. Were their ideals so grand and so important that this sort of murder needed to happen to see them brought to fruition? Perhaps in another time, Freige might have allied himself with the 'liberators' of Arcose. Arondite had slipped from his hands at some point, Freige not very concerned anymore with the artifact as each breath became more painful than the last.
Aurora, having enough, gathered a single large burst of energy to end it all. Yet even if he died immediately now, she was far too late to make any sort of impact on the planet below. The fighting was done, the conflict resolved, and any attempt to stir any up would certainly be met with the ire of both Earth's President and the Queen of Saiyans alike. It was in these final moments that Freige permitted himself a small smile, staring bleakly at his impending murderer. "I hold no regrets nor grudges anymore..." He croaked, a sickly wet feeling coating the inside of his throat and lungs. "...but I am at least still glad that I kept you from facing Kayen below." With a final, titanic blow... Freige was sent spiraling towards the sharpened pillar of ice below. A pained expression forced itself upon him, the Arcosian looking down weakly to see the tip of the icicle shard piercing through his abdomen. "Ah..." And then the force carried him further, twisting the proverbial dagger deeper as his body fell limp, life being torn from his carcass before it even reached the bottom of the attack.
