NAME: Celari
ALIASES: None
SPECIES: Saiyan-Brenchian
AGE: 21
GENDER: Female
STARTING PLANET: Earth
APPEARANCE:

BACKGROUND: Celari was brought into a world that quickly taught her a crucial fact: she wasn't wanted or needed, and every scrap of food or possession would have to be secured by her own two hands. Her mother was a deserter from the World Trade Fleet, taking refuge on Earth as it was one of the few nearby civilized planets that didn't extradite turncoats. Her father, unknown to both Celari and her mother, was a Saiyan, also a renegade from the Saiyan Kingdom. The man introduced himself as Earthling, and with no tail, Celari's mother didn't know any better. Their romance lasted years, and even far along into a pregnancy.
Yet one day he up and vanished to the wind, no trace of the man left behind. Money was tight, and Celari's mother grew to harbor a bubbling resentment towards her child, a product of both her drain on Zeni and a living reminder of the father that abandoned them. The pair grew up poor, and while hands were never laid on the child violently, verbal barbs and an unconcealed disgust hurt her all the same. During these early years, there was scarcely a time the hybrid could ever recall having a full belly or content lifestyle. Celari eventually turned to thievery to survive, stealing all she could, ranging from food itself to money and valuables. Sometimes it worked, sometimes she got caught. Thieves weren't turned into the law, though, and around where she lived they were taught a lesson by those she infringed upon. Child or not, beatings from these people were all too common during her desperate attempts to swipe resources, and it was from this that she started to learn how to fight back.
If you couldn't outpower or endure the competition, the next best option is to outspeed them, and that's exactly what she did. Hit-and-run, dirty tactics, and years of experience built upon each other, molding Celari into an expert criminal. Even her mother left her alone as the girl grew bigger and stronger, bringing in more money than she ever could. As a teenager, Celari put her skills to use, signing up in potentially fatal underground fighting matches. Victories here awarded her with more money than she'd ever seen in her life and the girl grew attached to both the fame and rewards of her work. That didn't mean she stopped her swindling and stealing, though now the fruits of that labor were pooled towards a community fund to help other, younger children who didn't have the temperance or skills to do what she could. While her morals for fighting and stealing were loose, Celari made it a firm point that she was against wanton murder and harming children, except in the direst of circumstances.
Years in her line of work developed Celari into a sharp-tongued trickster, someone who easily slipped into a friendly persona while keeping a cold, calculating distance underneath the surface. She didn't necessarily believe that everyone was bad or worthy of scorn, but with her record and general hesitance to truly trust another person, making actual friends is a monumental task. As she moved into tentative adulthood, her battlegrounds and skillset changed. Basic punches and kicked were augmented and/or replaced by the use of ki, energy that Celari found herself having a particular knack for. Shows and payouts from the Central City outskirts grew old, the greater community as a whole finding express interest in hiring a cleared gifted fighter for their entertainment. That's where she works even to this day; A life as a professional fighter was hard work and for someone like Celari, unglamorous.
While skilled, she was never the best. Always playing second fiddle to the "star" of a show, always set up to be the bad guy destined to lose. It grated on her, the underlying insult rubbing salt into the raw wound that was her past. Celari became determined, then and there, to never stop training. She couldn't settle for being third or second best anymore. She would prove herself both as a competent fighter, and a person that was worthy of being born in the first place. After all, she was little more than a gutter rat who clawed through the insurmountable gates of society. Beyond that, the presence of planet-shattering super beings in the galaxy is a frightening one. The thought that it would only take one malevolent person to swiftly end an entire planet... it was not one Celari didn't wish to entertain. ...Yet it was these kinds of people she'd need to overcome if her goal was to be fulfilled.
And nothing was going to deter her.
TECHNIQUES:
Crusher Ball (A1) - Celari concentrates a great deal of Ki in an open palm, condensing it to form an energy sphere before striking it with her unoccupied hand to launch it towards an enemy for 33% of her Power Level. Costs 1 KP.
Meteor Ball (UA2) - A larger and more powerful Crusher Ball that leaves behind a vivid whitish-blue tail in its wake. It's damaged is upped to 66% of her Power Level, but in return costs 2 KP.
Starstorm (MA3) - A barrage of Meteor Balls launched in quick succession, rapidly filling the battlefield with a handful of bright and volatile projectiles that explode upon impact. Does 100% of her Power Level and costs 3 KP.
(8,000) Gravity Well (VA3) - Celari concentrates her energy into both palms before firing forth a vanta-black orb that warps the space around it, allowing it to collide with and be empowered by other allied attacks of the same variant! On its own, it does 66% of her Power Level and costs 3 KP.
(16,000) Antimatter Fade (SU1) - Celari warps the very fabric of space in a small area around herself, rendering the girl temporarily intangible from all but the most intense attacks. It doesn't last very long, though, and can only dodge one attack under 100% of her PL at the cost of only a single KP. Due to its very nature, however, if the attack is OVER the threshold, she takes the entirety of it.
