Morticia's PL: 76,100
A fair amount of time had passed now since Morticia had first been introduced to the Lookout thanks to Tysco! Though she was still getting accustomed to it in general and was still getting to know all his friends that frequented the sacred platform as well. She found that studying for projects was much easier when atop the Lookout with Tysco accompanying her as opposed to being in her room at home alone. As such, she had opted for doing it up there as often as they could both possibly manage. Studying with him more regularly again was refreshing and quickly becoming one of her favourite things to do, however, tending to the garden atop the Lookout was easily already in her top favourites list by now. Speaking of which! She had already made her way up top and had started tending on it today rather early or— at least a lot earlier then her usual. The Doragon had also brought along her sketch book since she'd planned to draw the plants that she tended to today. This would ensure that researching these specimens was easier! No more having to remember them all by memory alone. However, drawing was a little bit harder because of the gem. The gem that housed Maneki that is. The cat was being increasingly loud in her mind whenever she visited the Lookout oddly enough. More so now that he'd requested to always be on her person and not just in her bag. Morticia had noticed that from the second she had set foot down atop the Lookout the gem seemed to give off a mental hissing noise that continued until she left or whenever she was around enough people. The noise today, however, had grown from just a simple hiss and had instead become a much more high-pitched version of the same noise. Though... it was so high-pitched that Morticia was sure she was going to get a splitting headache before too long. Maybe the cat just didn't like being up so high in the sky? Either way she would have to make her doodles quicker then she would've liked so they could get going before it really did give her a headache. She was sure her gem friend was doing the noise for a valid reason after all, right? Plopping herself down on the ground and crossing her legs over, the Doragon would pull out the drawing book along with a pencil and eraser from her little backpack before getting to work on drawing the first plant she chose to focus on from the Lookout's garden, the Halo Rose. It was a gorgeous plant that— as the name would suggest— was quite similar to a regular rose in appearance, the main difference being that the petals gently floated around the hip of the flower, undisturbed by any winds; their gravity to the plant was absolute. While she was also sure either none of the others were here currently or were asleep she did her best to be as quiet as she could be regardless. She wouldn't want to wake anyone up afterall...

Let the Cat Out of the Bag Chime was dreaming.
He didn't know where he was. It was dark and seemed like it went on forever. Maybe it was a sprawling forest at night, or the labyrinthine depths of the Lookout. The scenery seemed to shift every few moments, leaving the poor Namekian without any bearings and hopelessly lost. The air felt heavy and oppressive, like he was trying, impossibly, to breathe water instead of air. At first, the only sound was his own footsteps as he wandered through the... wherever this was. Soon, something else began to echo through the dark. Voices. They sounded in distress. Chime picked up his pace to follow the voices, and sure enough, they were calling for help. More specifically, they were praying to Kami. To him. Chime desperately tried to find the source of the voices so he could do something to help them, but even as they got overwhelmingly loud, he could find nothing besides twisting dark nothingness. He couldn't help anyone.
Chime's eyes snapped open and he awoke, face-down on the couch. He laid there frozen for a moment as he assessed his situation. Something felt... off. It was a sensation like waking up from a dream about a flood, only to find that it's raining outside, and your subconscious had just amplified what was really happening. He woke from his dream about darkness and guilt and into a vague feeling of... wrongness. With a frown, he sat up and rubbed at his face. Maybe Daruma was trying something with the stone dragon balls again? No, those had a distinct feeling, he was familiar with those. This was different. It was a sensation of darkness and distress, but it was muffled, like a sound through a wall. Whatever it was, Chime could tell it was above him, so up he went, rumpled robes and all.
His senses led him all the way to the top of the Lookout and around the side of the main building, to where Synthesia's garden was. Well, it wasn't really Synthesia's garden anymore, it hadn't been for a while, but he still thought of it as such. Its new caretaker was the purple Doragon girl, Tysco's friend, and she was there now, tending to the flowers and looking pretty peaceful. Nothing appeared to be wrong, but he still felt that sense of unease, stronger than ever.
"You're, uh. Morticia, right?" Chime said, by way of hello. He'd seen the woman several times now, but they'd never gotten the chance for a proper conversation, "Good morning. How's th--" He cut himself off to yawn, "Sorry. How's the plants? Everything alright up here?" A slight frown played on his face as he asked. There was definitely something amiss, but what exactly it was eluded him.

The doragon had been so focused on the drawing she was doing she almost hadn't even noticed Chime had come up and over to the garden until he spoke-- "Oh!" Taking in a breath of surprise as she dropped the pencil and sketchbook from her hands as a precaution- She had lost supplies before in the past to her magic reacting to the same sort of surprise before, she really ought to invest in some sort of scouter or someway to sense ki to avoid such surprises in the future...
Looking to the Namekian, once she had noticed him the cat would too and the god-awful high pitched screeching noise somehow got worse. But why? Chime was a friend, or at least was a friend of a very good friend of her's, why would Maneki react so poorly to seeing him? Was it meant as some sort of warning? He had to be wrong here.
She would shrug it off for now as she now had company and it would be rude not to answer back within a timely manner, "Yep, that's me! Good morning by the way, did you rest alright?" Judging by his yawn he hadn't been awake for very long, that or hadn't gotten enough sleep. Morticia would smile at being asked about the plants, "They're going well! Well enough actually I had some spare time in my checkup on them so I started drawing some of them-- I hope you don't mind?"
She seemed all smiles overall but the slight frown on Chime's face didn't go unnoticed. She had half a mind to tell the namekian straight up about her little gem friend, hoping maybe he would have some sort of solution on the whole hissing, screeching noises he was making right now, but Maneki himself fought against this idea. "Yeah everything's alright-" She would get to her feet and almost instinctively placed one hand over the area where the gem was resting just above her chest in a worrisome sort of manner. "-Why? Is something wrong?"
