Flip's PL: 54,621 The Planet Beppa. A smoldering ball, home to one of the most savage races in the galaxy. The Beppa-seijin matched the Saiyans in terms of ferocity and fighting spirit. What they lacked was the power of an Oozaru. While the Saiyans built themselves an empire, the Beppa-Seijin went into piracy. It got to the point where the area around their planet was a wasteland of danger and crime. So, naturally, Flip Fortuna decided to get a piece of it. He had already brought Knutts under his control, building it up into a shiny, well oiled machine of crime, as well as improving its reputation across the galaxy. Now it was time to do the same to the planet Beppa. If he could bring it under his heel, it would not only improve his power base, granting him a fighting force of the powerful Beppa-seijin, but also be a great PR stunt. Imagine reforming the Beppa Danger Zone? Of course, such a thing wasn't going to be easy. Sure, he could try to lead a small army of pirates to take the planet, but such things were normally messy, and generally attracted the wrong kind of attention. Flip preferred to use his words, convincing them the benefits of joining up with him. The problem though was getting through to the top dog of the Beppa-Seijin. Cesar, the biggest warlord on the planet, was a large Beppa-seijin, even by the standards of his race. His skin was a dark blue, and his black hair shaved into a mowhack. The man's armor was a ramshackle collection of pieces stolen from other pieces of armor, but ultimately seemed well made. Beppan society was made up of various war clans, so there wasn't a particular government or monarchy, but Cesar had the biggest grab of territory on the planet, as well as developed a reputation for being the strongest. Flip had figured, if he could get Cesar under his control, the rest of the planet would fall in line in time. Or at least, it would make doing so much easier on himself. Getting a good foothold on the planet was important after all. The massive man laughed as he heard Flip's offer. "Work for you? Are you serious!?" Flip had expected something like this. After all, if it's been working for so long, why bother giving up power to another? Flip gave a small shrug. "I'm just sayin'," Flip said, remaining perfectly calm, "You've got a good operation here. But why not try to improve? Under me, Knutts has flourished, and I can do the same for your world as well. I can make your people a force to be feared. All you have to do is turn over power to me. You'll still be granted some privilages after all. I'm not kicking you to the curb. You'll just be working under me, and the benefits far outweigh that."The warlord gave a predatory grin. "Yeah, I heard somethin' about that. You cleaning up Knutts all nice. And you think you can just walk in here and ask for our world too? Ya didn't even bring any bodyguards with you or nothing! Talk about arrogant." His grin widened. "So, here's my counter offer. Why don't I just waste ya, and take Knutts for myself?" Behind Flip, he could hear the two Beppa guards training blasters on him. Flip gave an annoyed sigh. The two men fired. Flip jumped as the shots went out underneath him. Flip launched himself at Cesar, kicking the large man in the chest before he could react. The warlord let out a cry of pain as there was a crack from his ribs breaking. Before he could do anything, Flip lashed out with a fist, catching him in the throat. Gasping and choking, the warlord fell to his knees, Flip landing calmly in front of him. Cesar barely looked up before a gun barrel was pressed against his face. "I think I might need to talk to someone else about this," Flip said coldly, before pulling the trigger. The blast echoed throughout the room as Cesar slumped to the floor, a good chunk of his face missing. Flip gave a small sigh. What was it with people wanting to get uncivilized. He looked back the two guard staring in shock. Flip had just killed their leader, and quite easily too! "So, who wants to continue negotiations?"Flip's making a big to take control of Planet Beppa. After 72 hours, if nobody intervenes, Planet Beppa will fall under the control of the Fortuna Syndicate

Ikra's PL: 40,000
Darkness abruptly flooded the area, surging out from behind Flip. Two golden eyes pierced the gloom as Ikra stepped forward and examined the carnage. Such a nasty business, wasn’t it? The underworld. Ikra put a hand to her cheek and sighed softly. “Oh dear, it seems that things have already gotten quite messy.” The guards at the door turned to her, still frozen in shock, though whether that was from seeing their leader executed or a strange woman standing at the door was unclear. Two shadows burst from the floor, wrapping around the two Beppa-seijin and pulled them down into it as if it were made from mud. “Was that big one honestly the one in charge here? How embarrassing.”Ikra smiled charmingly at Flip. “May I introduce his majesty, King Riis? My lord wishes to have a word if you’ve a moment.” Stepping aside, she bowed low to admit her dearest lord into the room. Using her shadows, she dragged the three bodies out of the room to allow the two some privacy. Disposing of them might be a touch premature, so she would simply keep them to the side for a bit. They sank into the floor of the adjoining room while Ikra stood guard at the door. When her darling Riis had expressed a desire to speak with Flip during his hostile takeover, Ikra had insisted that she take her along. Unfortunately, in their haste, they’d left behind Konats’ other forces. Kaal, her little knight, and Babyl, her dear brother. Ikra didn’t relish the idea of leaving them behind. For one, the King of Konats required a more extensive honor guard than merely her. For two, she had left Babyl behind once before… she didn’t relish being so careless with her brother’s feelings a second time. Well, surely he would understand why haste was required. Besides, someone needed to stay behind and defend Konats. Her misgivings aside, she did hope that Flip wouldn’t lose his sense and see reason to come to blows with them regardless of whatever darling Riis had come to discuss with him. It would be unfortunate for him. She rather liked his cunning and preferred him as an ally. Still, wasn’t this a bit rash? Wasn’t Beppa within the Saiyan Kingdom’s sphere of influence? Messing with that lot was a dangerous endeavor. Ikra’s thoughts flashed back to that insipid saiyan Cress threatening them. The Saiyan Kingdom was a blight on the universe, assuredly, but not something to be meddled with lightly.

King Riis’ PL: 20,000 Items: Spaceship, Blutz Generator
A gentle applause would echo through the room as the King of Konats was introduced by his most loyal follower. It seemed the King missed all of the initial negotiations that came with the intricacies of planetary domination. Luckily there was still plenty of time left in the day. It was only a little disheartening to see what he considered to be a well-thought-out person that made delicate plans resorting to brute force. But from the very audible struggle from before coming from the war room, it sounded as though he had little choice. Complications always seemed to set in at the worst of times. Hopefully, that would be the only one today. Riis paid no attention to the guards. If they sought to cause any trouble both Ikra and Flip combined could easily dispose of them.
“Thank you Ikra. How nice to see you again Mr. Fortuna! Don’t worry I have no intention of negotiating the same way as… this unfortunate individual.” Riis gave the former leader of Beppa a gentle nudge with his foot. “Shame it had to come to that. But I suppose that’s what happens when the main planet is ruled by a kingdom filled with savages.” Riis’ usually calm and collected demeanor was just a smidge offset. He still carried himself nicely but the death of his brother seemed to shake him to the core. His clothes were less fancy and regal, his calm smile even gone from his face.
“I was hoping we would get a chance to meet again. Honestly congratulations on your most recent business venture. It is a bold move. One that if you’re not careful will get you killed.” After the fated meeting with Cress, it seemed that the galaxy had become a much more dangerous place in general. Especially for people in their position. Lesser rulers would be coerced into submission by brutes swinging around the remains of their victims. It was time to see where Flip stood in that regard.
“With the Saiyan Kingdom flexing their power, it’s likely they’ll hear about a planet under their control being taken. It is a poor time to be going against them. Especially by one’s self. So I have to wonder. What will you do when they send their knuckle-dragging, mindless apes to your doorstep?” The King wanted to hear Flip’s plan if one existed at all. A smart man like himself was sure to have come up with something. The question was would it be enough to save himself from an ensuing attack. It would be a shame to see such a gifted mind taken by the most undeserving band of killers in the known universe. Riis took a seat in Cesar’s former chair. “Rather than falling to their brutish might alone, would you be willing to stand against them with an ally?”

Babyl's PL: 37,250
As his spaceship entered the atmosphere of Beppa, Babyl's face slightly twisted in disappointment. Not only had his King and sister left him ONCE AGAIN, but they had also failed to tell him where they were headed or why. Luckily he caught their signal quickly enough to track and follow it to the current planet. His primary objective was to ensure their safety. His secondary? Chew them out and remind King Riis that he is part of the Royal Guard, and leaving without him was irresponsible at best and potentially deadly at worst. Now was not the time for that yet, for as Babyl landed his ship near his King's, the building they likely entered looked to be surrounded by guards on all sides. While that wouldn't be a problem for him, Ikra, or Riis, it might become one if things went south. Whatever business they had, Babyl hoped it was peaceful, as he didn't want a body count this early in the day. After touching down and leaving his ship on standby in case a hasty retreat was necessary, Babyl quickly molded into darkness, creeping around using the shadows of the guards to hide inside. He kept his wits about him as he skulked through the corridors, ensuring he was seen by absolutely nobody. After all, if it turned out this mission was of great import to his king, he wouldn't want to jeopardize it by being caught, nor would he want to be punished if he wasn't supposed to be here. His mind raced with thoughts of what might be going on, which only worried Babyl more. When he finally arrived outside the room in which Riis and Ikra were speaking with someone, he waited unseen around the corner in case he was needed, but wanted only to listen for the moment. Let's hope I'm not needed, but I get the feeling I will be...

Sycamore's PL: 33 | Rangda's PL: 34,800 | Items: Sacred Flute, Arm Blaster
"Hot, the air and lava flowing..."
It was always dim in the Underdark. The hostile orange glow perpetuated by the magma pockets dotting the caverns clashed with the sterile, lifeless yellow fluorescent bulbs the taskmasters provided. Despite that, visibility was limited to what was directly around you - leaving everything else to meld into the biting and coiling shadowy rock formations. A perpetual miasma tainted the air, a foul blend of exhaust, sweat, and rust from the decaying heaps of scrap embedded below Beppa's surface. The conditions were even harsh for Rangda, a cheap filtration mask strapped over her face as sheets of sweat rolled off her body. With each swing of her hammer-like tool, a shower of sparks jettisoned from the surface of the metal she was working with, embers stinging against her skin. The pain was a sullen reminder that most of her weaker comrades required full hazard suits to properly work, an even more torturous fate sure to leave you dying to the heat alone.
"Hard, the land we call our home..."
She was on break when it happened, propped up against a few storage crates with her head tilted back, eyes closed as a small stream of water trickled its' way into her mouth from an open canteen. "Oi, Rang," The gruff voice of Churri held more urgency than usual, the Heran swinging her legs off the side of her faux bed. The invitation to continue was non-verbal, the girl gesturing even as she continued to indulge in the sweet release of cold water. "I heard from me best source that boss man has a big-shot visitor from space, and he's tryna negotiate a change in management, as it were." Splashing some liquid on her face to let it soak, Rangda sighed. "And why is this either reliable or important? Boss talks to wannabe warlords an' kingpins all the time." And such talks usually ended with their deaths or servitude. Rangda was fairly certain she'd have a decent shot at taking the guy down if she really wanted to... but she didn't.
"That's the thing, see. My guy knows a guy who works as the security chief for the whole complex, says its this one guy who single-handedly took over all o' Knutts." The green-skin wasn't much for hearsay and ill-placed rumors, so his fervent belief in this particular topic made the Heran hesitate. Why had someone with some semblance of importance finally come to Beppa right when she had decided to lay low there? Sighing irritably, Rangda tapped the bright shiny reactor shining through her shirt with idle thought. "OK, say I believe you, does that really matter for us? New bosses never kill the grunts from the old administration, that's a waste of labor." She'd probably just move on to the next small-time anarchist planet. It wasn't like she had much to take with her, outside of a certain android. "Well, and I'm just spitballin' here, but I'm pretty sure this means we won't be gettin' our paychecks for this work shift. And you get paid in chunks, AND ya had that special project going on the side for him didn't cha?"
That got her attention, the girl's brow furrowing in thought. "...Damnit, you're probably right, as painful as that is to admit." The Beppa-seijin laughed, waving off the insult in stride. He was one of the more docile, not-murderous members of his species and one of the few that Rangda could tolerate talking to for an extended period of time. "I may not have a fancy device like some of the soldiers do, but I can tell you're stronger than ya let on... maybe even stronger than the boss." Churri gave her a critical glance, huffing: "Now, don't hear what I ain't saying. It probably isn't a good idea to outright go n' challenge the guy, but maybe with your skills, you could get some sort of deal struck." Rangda chugged the remaining water in her canteen, tossing it aside before rummaging around and holding out a slip to the Beppa-seijin. "I didn't forget the code," She said wryly, nose crinkling. "So thanks for the heads-up, I'll go check it out." Churri took the offered slip with a grin, stuffing it into his massive pocket. "Oi, make sure to call once and a while too, ya hear?"
-
The surface of Beppa was only slightly more tolerable than below, the air a bit less clogged with filth and the open sky a far better sight than an endless ceiling of rock. Rangda weaved up and down the rickety walkways and stairs connecting several scrap metal huts together, offering a short nod or wave to the few co-workers she passed by. The door to her 'home' slammed open, the girl trudging in and dumping a few of her tools off near the bed. Dirt, sweat, and dust caked her skin, though the Heran hardly paid it any mind as she shrugged on a purple jacket to compliment her torn and dirtied black shirt. "What's gotten you all in a hurry?" A smooth, filtered voice rang out, the sound of servos whirring as a small, spider-like bot climbed up onto the bed. "Did you anger another gang leader again?" The male voice asked, a sigh artificially added on. "I can start the process of packing up my things again if need be, but I'd rather not..." The Heran knelt, offering a smile. "It's mostly chill, Sycamore. I just... want to go have a chat with the prospective new boss about a paycheck. I'm not leaving this heated rock without compensation for the time I spent working on it."
The arachnid was silent, contemplating her words. "Well if you're going to so foolishly head into a dangerous situation like that, allow me to accompany you. Not only will my power enhancements prove invaluable if you get into a fight - which is the expected outcome might I add - but any damage to the reactor core must be swiftly attended to." Knowing better than to try and argue for his safety, Rangda merely sighed and extended her hands, Sycamore climbing on and working his way to her back, nestled between her shirt and jacket. "You've my assurance that I'll stay quiet if everything goes smoothly, but better safe than sorry I always say." Huffing, the Heran stretched as she stepped outside, staring at the seemingly distant citadel of Cesar. She'd stepped foot inside before under the careful supervision of the warlord's top guards, but this time would be a bit different. This time was walking into an active danger zone - heh, danger zone - in which she'd basically be demanding money from the new boss. Wooo.
Not having sensing of any kind, Rangda and Sycamore in tandem were both blind to the number of people currently in the base and didn't have the faintest clue of how strong they were. It didn't stop her from flying in casually, glancing around and noting the distinct lack of guards as she took a casual walk through the courtyard. "That's odd..." Even with potential violent visitors, Cesar typically kept some posted outside to make sure people like her didn't just wander in unannounced. "It's possible that they've diverted their efforts to the interior for the moment. Something tells me that this is a bit more serious than we had anticipated." A fair assumption and it didn't help that Churri probably get the info to her a bit after it was super fresh. "There's the slow but inconspicuous approach or the fast approach..." Rangda mused aloud, a small ball of Ki forming in her hand. "I never really was patient." Slinging it at the wall, the orb made a small explosion upon impact, caving in the main defense of the interior as she stepped inside. Having prior experience navigating the place, Rangda made her way close to Cesar's personal office.

It was odd circumstances that had brought him onto Konats in the first place, and now it was odd-er circumstances of which that brought him away from the planet that he had been so quick to call his surrogate home. Kaal wasn't necessarily unaware of the fact that many of his friends had been going off planet for seemingly the same convening goal, though he had expected that he himself would be tasked with the matter of remaining home, in the case anything were to occur while the majority of the royal guard and King Riis himself weren't at home. King Riis, that had an oddly fitting ring to it- though he supposed that in light of the former brother's death, it wouldn't have mattered if it fit or not, since Riis would be crowned king whether he'd have wanted it to be done in such a manner or not. It did seem a bit, sad, in a way- the younger sibling unable to prove to his older sibling that he was indeed worthy of the responsibilities that the older sibling had usually tossed upon his own shoulders. But, such was life, things hardly ever went to plan, did they? His very existence was proof of that.
Snapping himself back to the present time, Kaal found himself incredibly bored, and incredibly alone within the palace walls, musing to himself what to do until the rest of his close companions returned home. Only to then find himself moving out of the palace walls and flying off in a blind, streak of speed toward the other half of the planet toward the location from which The Swarm had now called their home.
Why, you may ask? Well, wasn't it obvious? Of course he wasn't about to let the entirety of the Royal Guard (that of which included Ikra and Babyl, a very important detail) as well as King Riis take on a potentially planetary threat on their own. What kind of loyal soldier would he be if he did that? Not a good one, at the very least.
So, once landing within the newly built capital of The Swarm's homeland, and waving a hello to the many that called him their surrogate father of sorts, Kaal eventually made his way to his own lodgings that had been built within the capital- digging out his own space ship from within his garage with a calculative glare and a sigh. It was still in the same condition it had been left in- broken, battered, bruised, but not beyond repair.
"It seems as though I may be a little late," was all the Vangardian muttered as he set off to work, taking a considerable amount of time now to fixing the shuttle to the best of his knowledge and ability (thankfully, Golgari did show him a thing or two before he himself left Konats) before launching himself off-world right from his homestead, bee-lining it for the coordinates set on his intergalactic map, of which were the planet Beppa's coordinates.
---- And right he was- when the Vangardian had finally landed on the planet Beppa's chaotic surface, he could already sense from afar the gathered energies of the Royal Guard and, the familiar yet foul energy that of the silver tongued Flip's own life signature, within a nearby city. Deciding it would be best not to play around, he wasn't blind to the leaps in strength Flip himself had made in the time in-between their last encounter, Kaal immediately heightened his power to its limit- his strength leaping several levels beyond what he had been originally.
Nothing in comparison to his true strength, of course, the rest of it being locked firmly away for the time being due to the time being spent as a popsicle, but Kaal was sure he could reaccess his reservoirs of strength at a later time. For now, he had the syndicate incarnate and the epitome of a monarchy to attend to.
Shooting off at fantastically fast speed, it did not take the so-called man out of time long at all to make his landing just outside of the building the other five had come to inhabit, with the explosion caused by the most recent of the newcomers causing him slight alarm. Choosing to focus on his own entry instead, at the moment, Kaal entered quite literally through the front door of the base- with any and all opposition made by any of the guards being swiftly stumped by a swifter shock of lightning from above.
Baby-blue eyes crackling, a lightning like aura flowing in arcs around him, Kaal made his way through the base until he was just a couple more rooms off from the room where he sensed Flip, Ikra, and Riis presumably talking- with the other two newcomers just entering the office through their own makeshift entrance.
It was at this moment he realized that Babyl was nowhere to be seen, or sensed at the time being, but as Kaal reached around mentally for his familiar friendly feeling force, Kaal realized that he was but outside of the very room he had just mentioned- but within his shadow form.
A light chuckle came from the Vangardians lips, just audible enough for Babyl to hear, but not those of whom that they were both spectating. The gentleman, as always.
"I assume you know exactly as much as I do when it comes to what we're doing here, Babyl?" Kaal whispered as he approached the shadowy wisp of the demon gentleman he had come to befriend and be close to.

With the big boss dead, Flip had expected things to go a bit more smoothly. After all, showing how strong you were was a good way to get people to listen to you. Granted, Flip would have preferred to simply work out a deal, but you had to roll with what happened. It was annoying, but it happened.
Though he certainly hadn't expected this. Out of nowhere, a darkness seemed to rise up, engulfing the two frightened guards and revealing a rather familiar form. Ikra, the shadow demon, and Riis' consort. Flip kept his cool, looking at her with a raised eyebrow. The two had parted on good terms last time, so he wasn't particularly worried that she was here to pick a fight. "A bit unecassary, but effective." he murmured to himself.
And it seemed she wasn't here alone. Of course, she didn't seem to go anywhere without the king of Konats, though Flip had to wonder just what it was he was doing there. He stood back, watching the king come in. "Well, isn't this an interestin' surprise," Flip spoke, giving a cordial smile. Something seemed off about the king though. Something beneath the surface. At Riis' lamentation about him killing Cesar, Flip shrugged. "Unfortunately in this world you need to get your hands dirty." he replied.
Flip waited quietly as Riis went to the point of this little meeting. The Saiyan Kingdom. The Konatsian seemed to be warning them about him taking the planet, since it would attract their attention. "This planet's been open market since the World Trade Fleet fell," Flip replied, "Besides, from what I've been hearing, they've got a handful with the worlds they're currently holdin'." Indeed, it seemed like Beppa was mostly ignored. After all, it was a crime infested hell hole. With things as they were at the moment, Flip doubted the Saiyans would have bothered with all the trouble.
That being said, he wasn't a complete fool. There was a chance they would take notice, especially with the Beppa sector being close to Arcose and the Gemini Binary. "I think you're giving the Saiyans not enough credit. Sure, they're a warrior race, but I'd hardly call them mindless savages." he gestured to the room around them. They were leagues ahead of the Beppa-seijin after all. "They are capable of diplomacy after all. Have a little faith in me afterall." Flip wouldn't have gotten where he was if he couldn't adjust to a change in situation. He was confident he could get through this. The Saiyans didn't own everything after all.
And then came an offer that caused Flip to almost laugh, though he skillfully suppressed it. An offer of an alliance. Flip knew how strong Riis was. In a one on one fight, Flip was confident he could beat the king. And here he was, offering an alliance as if he was doing him a favour. "Really now? Well, ain't that a generous offer. Though I do have to ask, what exactly do you want in exchange." It somewhat annoyed the man that Riis was sitting in Cesars old seat. A sort of subtle message of putting himself in charge. Flip wasn't going to work under anyone anymore. But, play it cool. Getting into a fight with multiple people at once was not a smart thing to do. He'd hear him out. What made Riis think them joining up would win them a battle with the Saiyan Kingdom?

Ikra's PL: 40,000
No matter how many times that Riis said thank you, Ikra still felt that flutter in her heart that let her know that her efforts were appreciated. He went on to begin negotiations without any wasted time. King Riis was quick to get to the heart of what he wanted. An alliance. Ikra thought that Flip Fortuna should feel honored for such a prestigious opportunity. Even though both she and Riis had taken a liking to him, not all were presented with such an opportunity. Ikra frowned only for a moment when Riis sat down in that brute’s chair. Such a seat wasn’t worthy of Riis, but she let it go. There were more important matters to attend to than seating. Flip seemed dismissive of the Saiyan threat, which made Ikra frown. The one that came to their door with Prince Typha’s head certainly had not seemed capable of diplomacy. Only threats and hellfire. Ikra grit her teeth in anger at the memory. At Riis’s offer, Flip seemed… perturbed. She couldn’t tell exactly what was going through his mind, but it seemed to have caused some sort of reaction. Still, Flip seemed civil enough for the moment, which caused her to turn her attention to a noise from within the complex. Visitors? Turning and disappearing into the corridors for just a moment, Ikra made sure to keep both Flip and Riis in sight while she investigated the source of the sound. It wasn’t long before she spotted them. One was a Heran girl, the other was Kaal who was… talking to himself? No, wait. To Babyl. Ikra let out a sigh, not sure whether to be relieved or annoyed at the pair of men in her life. Well, first, she had to attend to the Heran. Ikra put up a hand to halt her. “Stop just there, my dear. Negotiations are still ongoing. Whatever it is can wait until that is done. Kaal, would you be so kind as to entertain our guest here?” Ikra was half tempted to call out to Babyl, but he might have wanted to remain hidden if his cover wasn’t already blown. Trusting that she could leave the Heran to those two, Ikra turned and returned to the room where negotiations were being conducted. She didn’t feel comfortable leaving Riis alone with Flip after his strange reaction to Riis’s generous offer of alliance.

“It’s not you that I have no faith in. It’s just the unfortunate truth is that those with sharper wits like the two of us just don’t have a place in this world. Not on our own anyway.” Riis began, his face turning ever so slightly dour. “The Saiyan Kingdom I met a year ago would be both ready and willing to use diplomacy. Granted that also ended in a broken bone or two.” The King had a very vivid memory of that Ramen woman snapping his arm like a twig. He deserved it of course, but that was the only injury he sustained. The rest was talked out between himself and the former king Vocado. But those days were clearly over. Maybe Kayen was better, but if that were the case why didn’t she have more control over her soldiers? “The Saiyan Kingdom I see now are vile brutes who would gladly parade around in my castle with my brother’s head in his hands.” As he spoke, the monster began to stir, once again giving the king the low rumbling echo to his voice. He had to press it down though. Now was not the time for violence. He'd give Ikra a small glance, specifically at the pendant gleaming around her neck. As long as there was no fighting he shouldn't need it. For now he would stick to what he did best. “The fleet fell when the saiyans took over Arcose. How long do you think it’ll be until they take an interest in the neighboring planets?”
The eldest royal son stood from his frankly rickety and uncomfortable seat, once again stepping over the lifeless warlord. As he did so he could sense two of his royal guardsmen just outside. His heart sank in a short sting of guilt. He was unaccustomed to having supporters beyond his dear Ikra, and thus completely neglected to bring the others. Surely he would catch at least a little hell for this. Still, he worried that now the two left Konats undefended. Luckily Ikra ducked out to greet the two. Hopefully they would not be needed. However, Riis did feel even more secure with three capable fighters at the ready.
The King pressed on as Flip clearly regarded his offer as empty words. “What I hope to gain out of this is the same thing I hope to offer you. Security. Not just for me and Konats. A unified galaxy that isn’t afraid to stand against Cress and his ilk. Frankly people like you and myself are hilariously outmatched on our own. Now clearly you are…” Riis looked down to the former warlord, contemplating if he should give the cadaver another gentle nudge, “a talented individual. Out of respect for you I imagine the worst thing that will happen to me today would be I walk out of here and give you my congratulations. But then I would have to wonder. What would you do if the kingdom came knocking on your door while you were all alone? Or any other threat for that matter.” A small but distant explosion rumbled through the building. Under normal circumstances Riis would have elected to ignore it and wait to see what it was. But perhaps this would provide a decent example as he sensed yet another power level heading toward them. A cocky bordering on arrogant smile crossed him. “Say for instance the potential one heading towards us now.”

Babyl's PL: 37,250
Babyl's body lifted from the shadows slowly, taking on the near-Konatsian appearance Kaal and Ikra were both used to. With a deep sigh, Babyl leaned against the wall, his head nearly reaching the ceiling with how tall he was. "So much for the stealthy option." Babyl said with a somewhat strained voice. "Correct, I have little knowledge of what is going on. As for you, stranger, what is your business here?" Babyl's eyes shifted toward the Heran that had recently made their way to this very door. Despite the explosion from earlier, this girl didn't seem outright hostile. Perhaps she was part of the negotiation going on inside? No... That wasn't likely, given what Ikra had just asked Kaal to do. Babyl then turned back to Kaal, and without much of a care of the new individual who just joined them, began to speak at a low tone to him. "Given the context clues of the situation, It seems like Mr. Fortuna is attempting to take control of the planet, if that body on the floor is whom I think it is. I'm unsure of how King Riis and Ikra found out about it, but I'm glad they did. I don't trust Flip as far as I can throw him. I'm glad I followed them hear, if he's the one they are 'negotiating' with." Pushing himself off the wall, Babyl walked over to the stranger and looked down to her, menacingly at first, before bowing his head and offering to take her hand. "My name is Babyl. Regardless of the nature of your visit, I must ask that you wait out here whilst they discuss the boring things. Might I have your name, miss...?" Babyl's charm was tuned to 11, the intensity of which might have been unintentional, as if he had done so to repress some other feelings. Despite the fragility of the situation, Babyl did not attempt to use his abilities, opting instead to see the Heran's reaction to this first bit of a peace offering. "If you are willing to wait patiently, I can offer my personal guarantee that King Riis will hear whatever you have to say shortly. Until then, I can only offer my own presence, as little of a consolation prize as it may be." Babyl stood upright again and smiled pleasantly. "Kaal, good sir, have you heard anything about the current situation? Anything at all that might provide a hint of what Flip might want with this location?"

Despite the possibility of danger lurking in each and every nook and cranny, Rangda's stroll through Cesar's compound was casual and measured. Her right hand hung loosely from the sleeveless, tattered jacket that hid Sycamore beneath its flowing material, thumb hooked in the pocket but still ready to be used at a moment's notice. Her other hand was idly playing with the hem of her darker blue undersuit, rolling the cloth between her fingers as her eyes sharply scanned her surroundings. "I need to get a scouter soon..." The alien grumbled, having held back on purchasing the piece of tech due to ludicrous regional pricing for it on Beppa. A few, panicked guards were encountered and reduced to footnotes in the girl's journey, the Heran barely expending any effort to dispatch them. "Oh hey, check it out." Some alien dude was approaching the office, Rangda's eyes narrowing slightly. He didn't look like the average grunt Cesar kept around, so he was either an elite or an offworlder.
...Expect he stopped short and began whispering something to a corner. "...Did he just?" She said, at a loss for words. "He seems a bit pre-occupied with something." Said Captain Obvious the arachnid. There was some sort of insult lost in all this, but Rangda simply sighed, rubbing her head for a moment. The Heran had been about to march over and maybe the clock the dweeb upside the head when some sort of horned dress-clad woman stepped out from the office, looking more suited to be at a gala than a forcible change of management. "Pardon? Look, lady, I kind of live here so I think that negotiations about the entire planet concern me more than you." Ignored, 'Kaal' was instructed to keep her busy, Rangda turning to the man. "What, him? He didn't even notice I was here the first time, and I know my sneaking skills ain't that high."
She turned back to continue speaking to Ikra, but the Demon had already gone back inside. "OK, fuck you too, toots." And then another horned person popped up from nowhere, the girl slinking up from the floor and revealing himself. "I should be asking YOU that, beefcake." She muttered, squinting at the pair of men now essentially blocking her access. "Like I said this is kind of MY home, so if you could kindly fuck off, that'd be appreciated." And then HE ignored her too. "Fuckin' really? Man if I'm that inconsequential don't mind me as I just waltz right into the office then." At least he interrupted her movement by at least offering a hand. The Heran was at least well-mannered enough to return the gesture, though her annoyed and suspicious expression didn't waver throughout it. "Rangda," She replied dryly, the man's attempted charm slicking off her back like rain on a coat.
Sycamore found the entire situation rather amusing, judging by the tingling sensation of the android holding back a laugh on her back. Rangda's face twitched ever so slightly, fed up with all these haughty strangers coming down to HER home and disturbing HER way of life because of some galactic space politic bullshit. "King, huh? What's he king of? Some backwater ball like Gemini or something actually impressive?" Fancy titles weren't hard to come by these days, so even with the added cordial behavior of the current people falling in line with royalty, the Heran wasn't exactly sold on the concept that whoever was here was actually of any import. The frustration fed into her own battle lust, which while she could keep it under control, it floated around the back of her mind in an uncomfortable, constant miasma. "Between 'Riis' and 'Flip' it almost sounds like we have TWO people simultaneously trying to upheave Beppa's status quo. Yaaaaay." Yet she made no move to actively defy their request, standing a ways away from the door with an obviously displeased expression etched on her.

Between the slightly exasperated sigh from Ikra, and Babyl's seemingly strained tone of voice when addressing Kaal, the Vangardian began to feel as though that maybe his presence wasn't necessarily needed in the grand scheme of things. Ikra herself was no pushover at all when it came to combat, what with her incredible magical affinity, and Babyl was in a league similar to that- but also had stability within hand to hand and more, physical, means of battle as well. And to top it all off, as it stood now, Kaal was in fact that weakest one besides the Heran girl when he coupled in potential transformations- an incredibly embarrassing realization for someone that is supposed to be the last vestige of a great warrior race. However, despite that, he did not come all the way to some supposed backwater planet just to immediately make a return trip home. He still held, albeit a little less confidently now, the belief that he'd find some means of making his presence useful on the planet, and that seeing how much he was outclassed was something that Kaal actually did need to see. A means of motivating him, perhaps, to try and return to the realm of strength he once was before he was frozen over for a few hundred years or so.
Thus, Kaal was able to rebound a bit, managing to still hold himself in a more calmed and concentrated composure and muttering a quickly soft spoken apology to Babyl about blowing his cover with his thunderous appearance just as Ikra requested for him to greet the newcomer within their midst. Nodding, he began to walk over toward the Heran just as Ikra returned to shadow form and back to Riis' side, though he stopped as soon as he heard the second and present shadow sibling speaking directly to him once more.
Looking over at him, he appeared attentive toward his words, with Kaal replying in a bit of an amused tone as his gaze returned back over toward the Heran, "Good to hear that even after nearly half a millennia I can still read people's true intentions. I never once trusted Flip from the start. I've met many a man worth ten of him back in my days, and even then, they weren't worth that much. I'd rather not have his forces grow with the addition of an entire planet to his ranks. No matter how chaotic said planet may be. Silver tongued bastard.."
Speaking of which, he was slightly intrigued as to why Flip would specifically want a planet such as Beppa. From what he's seen within his quick fly by of the city before eventually reaching this destination, as well as going off of what the Heran girl would say about it very soon, it wasn't necessarily anything to gawk at. Perhaps he was used to more, impressively, structured civilizations due to the fact that he's only ever known the strong and nigh hither to perfect image his own people pressed onto him, but even besides that Beppa wasn't exactly the best of choices.
If they were to lose this planet to Flip, as much as he'd hate for him to have the last laugh, Kaal didn't think it would amount to too much in the long run. Hopefully. Maybe.
Returning back to the topic at hand, Kaal finally found a relatively comfortable spot just to the left of Babyl and, as she introduced herself, Rangda, as the two began the introductions. A small chuckle or two at Babyl's never fail gentlemanly nature, and a further chuckle being drawn at the Herans apparent annoyance toward it. Poor Babyl.
"I'm going to ignore the slight jab that you've already made toward me and say that I do apologize for this seemingly sudden takeover of your home-world," The Vangardian said in a pretty cordial tone. "Though, do be aware that we aren't the ones attempting to take it, and instead we are the ones trying to prevent it from being taken. Or at least, that's what I assume we're here for. Riis never tells me anything."
Which was to be expected- he didn't really pledge his loyal allegiance as openly as Babyl or Ikra, so he was perfectly fine with a bit of the shaft.
A small glimmer of annoyance flash across Kaal's looks as Rangda lashed out a bit at Ikra, but he knew better than to make a scene. Do unto others what you would have done to you, or, whatever the expression was. She was, a bit much, but, he was willing to accommodate. They were barging in on her home unannounced afterall.
Resisting the urge to let out another snigger at Rangda's haughty behavior despite no one here knowing of who she was in the first place anyways, he attempted to shine some further light on this blight, saying with an amused tone, "Yes, Riis is king of the planet Konats- a hotly popular spot, actually. I'd assume you've heard of it at least? If not, you do now."
Now focusing his words on both Babyl and Rangda, he continued, "Again, I'm not exactly sure what we're doing here or why Flip or maybe even Riis would want this planet. Not that it's, not of value, of course, but, they each have their own more pressing matters, or at least I assume so, to tend to. Riis more than Flip, seeing as he only recently gained the status of king. Flip, is, a mischievous character, so I won't pretend to know what exactly he has in terms of planning up his sleeves."
"We'll try our best to keep your planet as it was before we came here. But knowing the unpredictability of both people sitting in that room currently, no promises can be truly made."

Ah, so THAT was what this was about. Prince Typha's death at the hands of the saiyans. No doubt a crippling emotional blow to the konatsian prince. However, there were plenty of things to consider from this information. Why did the saiyans kill Typha? Who instigated? Flip had done some digging and was aware of Riis' former association with the World Trade Fleet. Had that had anything to do with it?
There was also Riis'mindset to consider. People in his position tended to have vengeance on their mind. Such a mindset made diplomacy...problematic.
Of course, Flip's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a ki blast outside. Riis' challenge for him to deal with it rubbed Flip the wrong way. It seemed getting a crown nobody wanted had inflated his ego a little. "Gladly," Flip replied as he turned for the door. Oh, he was going to enjoy showing him up.
As he approached, he heard several voices talking. Three he recognized. So, Riis had brought his whole entourage with him. Compensating perhaps? But what got his attention was the fourth voice. The voice of someone who was living on the planet, and was rather annoyed at being treated as insignificant. Well, that was just the perfect cue for Flip.
"My dear," Flip said, stepping through the door, "You might just be one of the most important people on this planet right now."
He scanned the group. Ikea, her brother Babyl, Kaal, and a Heran woman. Flip smirked at Kaal's statement of keeping Beppa as it was. "You really wish for Beppa to stay as it is? A wasteland of violant gangs, fighting it out in endless wars? Such a shame. So much wasted potential. I'm here to bring Beppa to much greater heights. Make Beppa a shining jewel of strength in the cosmos!"
He approached the Heran woman and gave a polite bow. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Flip Fortuna. And I come with an opportunity for you, and all of Beppa."
He gestured to the door. "If you'll care to follow me, we can discuss a very promising career opportunity for you. Unfortunately, Cesar didn't seem to appreciate what I brought, but I'm sure you're a woman of proper priorities."

Ikra's PL: 40,000
Ikra’s ear twitched when she heard the faint sound of the Heran cursing at her retreating back. It made the demoness want to stop and pinch the little blue girl’s ears until she apologized, but she refrained from indulging that particular fantasy, instead moving to close the door behind her. It wouldn’t serve as a defense from a determined assailant, but it would block out some of the noise. Ikra was keen to keep tabs on it though, so she thought to keep it cracked just a tad to listen in on both conversations at once. It seemed like her brother and Kaal had her pretty well in hand for the moment. She was a little surprised at their dislike for Flip. Hm. It seemed like the silver tongued devil certainly had rubbed the men in her life the wrong way. She let out a little sigh. Out of courtesy for their slightly rude guest, Ikra looked for a moment to interject into the conversation going on between Riis and Flip. As much as she didn’t love the Heran’s behavior, Ikra admitted that she had been rather impolite in her haste to return to Riis’s side. It seemed even a part of her was loathe to leave her alone with Flip, a man who by all rights could just as likely be a potential enemy as an ally. Unfortunately, Flip moved past her out into the hallway before she closed the door, making her pause somewhat awkwardly to allow him to pass by. He seemed… agitated by Riis. Well, her darling had a way with words. She wasn’t sure what his plans were by setting Flip off like that… but she didn’t have the wisdom that Riis possessed. Following Flip out after a cursory glance back at Riis, Ikra listened in on the conversation, Flip using a possible blunder on Kaal’s part to bolster his position. He gestured to the door, inviting her into the festivities before Ikra could manage to assuage her earlier slight against the Heran. Vaguely annoyed, she tried not to blurt out a retort that would damage Riis’s position, stepping out beside the Heran. “Apologies for my earlier rudeness,” she said, addressing Rangda, “I am Ikra. You wanted to speak to the man attempting to take charge of your world? Well, you have your invitation it seems.” While she might have been dismissive of the Heran earlier, Ikra felt some responsibility for her as a host. Even if she wasn’t Riis’s direct guest, she didn’t exactly relish the idea of Flip harming her in her presence. Glancing back at Kaal and Babyl, Ikra smiled softly at them and gestured for them to come inside as well. “You both know you didn’t have to come… don’t you? Or were you both just worried? Well, either way, I am glad you’re here. So, thank you.”With her gratitude expressed to her little knight and big brother, Ikra followed Rangda and Flip back into the meeting room where Cesar had met his untimely end. Whatever was to come would certainly be interesting, though Ikra was not sure that she’d be able to tolerate Flip’s stubborn refusal for much longer. Still, if an amicable deal could be arranged, that would be preferable to taking his head.

Riis hovered by the doorway to observe the unfolding debacle just outside. So far things were peaceful, at least physically. The Heran woman had an attitude about her but perhaps rightfully so. Her home was being invaded by two strangers trying to stake some sort of claim. Unfortunately his guardsmen did seem put off by the lack of communication. Again perfectly understandable given the situation.
“Forgive me Kaal,” the King began, “I honestly was under the impression you were still on the fence about me. Otherwise, I am sorry for not telling either of you. I’m not used to having actual supporters willing to follow me besides Ikra.” He chuckled, hoping the joking nature of his little quip came across. “No in truth I am glad you two came. I worry that Konats is now left unguarded but I trust my other guards as well. As for why I’m here specifically, I simply wish to make sure this won’t endanger us in the long run and perhaps even gain an ally.” His eyes darted between the Heran and Flip, while said human was hopefully busy trying to accommodate the former. It was hopefully obvious there was more behind this. If the Fortuna Syndicate turned out to be yet another enemy, that was another thing to worry about. Though he was more or less convinced this was just an attempt to expand his own resources. If that was all then this should go swimmingly.
Riis then turned his attention to Rangda. “Forgive my intrusion, Ma’am. Rangda was it? I originally had no plans to disrupt Beppa. Nor do I now. I’m here mostly to gauge a situation that could potentially affect my own world. Really if it wasn’t for my dear Ikra’s help,” he gestured over to the curvaceous demon herself, “I would never have heard about this. For now, you have my word that unless things take a turn towards the unsavory I’ll simply observe Mr. Fortuna and his endeavors.” The word unsavory and Fortuna seemed so perfect together. Hell, he practically guaranteed that he would end up intervening. But the King had no intention of getting on the bad side of the locals. Uniting against an enemy is a two-way street after all. Especially one like the saiyans.
Before he entered back into the room with Flip and Rangda, Riis would lean in to whisper to his royal guards. “Again I am so sorry. I’ll tell you more about my plans later when we have more privacy. For now, I want to see if I can use this as an opportunity to bolster our ranks. If this woman doesn’t trust her ‘new leader’ maybe we can give her one that she does.” He then backed away, this time letting himself be heard by any listening. “Besides, for as much trouble that I gave him a few minutes ago, I actually like watching Mr. Fortuna work. The man has style you have to give him that. So let’s hear what he has to offer Ms. Rangda.” Riis turned to Ikra, gesturing for her to follow. “Shall we?”
