CANON EXAMPLES
BACKGROUND
APPEARANCE: Shinjin are decidedly Human in appearance, aside from the wild variations in skin tone. Depending on their rank and class, a Shinjin can either be incredibly tall or comically short. Despite appearances suggesting otherwise, Shinjin are genderless.
HISTORY: Shinjin are born from magical fruits that grow off of the World Tree, gigantic magical trees found on the Shinjin's home planet in Otherworld. Most fruits create more natural Shinjin that watch certain galaxies, while golden fruits create more capable and powerful members of the species that can watch over the universe. The occasional rotten fruit that creates malevolent Sjinjin are usually cast aside into the Demon Realm. These high-ranking entities are ageless and can live for about 75,000 years, unless they are killed by another one way or another. They usually live leisurely lives in the Otherworld, watching over the mortals, though some occasions may call for their presence in the living world. While genderless, they can take after and identify as males or females.
TRAITS
| Once per month, you can travel between the realms near-instantly, visiting the Mortal Realms and the Otherworld. When in the Otherworld, Shinjin may participate in threads in both Heaven and Hell without needing to post in the Travel Log to go between the two. At the start, you can only teleport yourself, but your ability to take others along increases by 1 every 100,000 Power Level, capping at 5 extra "riders" at 500,000 Power Level. Bringing a non-living being back to the Mortal Realms will allow them to stay in the Mortal Realms for 24 OOC hours, and are unable to join DE threads. If they have accompanied you or other Shinjin once before whilst dead, they are unable to accompany you again. |
| Shinjin start with two extra technique slots, which must be used for magic-based techniques. In addition, Shinjin also gain access to the "Mystic" Signature Technique Branch. |
| If a Shinjin dies, they may skip judgment from Yemma and be sent to the Grand Kai worlds. Though they will still be considered dead, they can use Kai Kai to travel to the Mortal Realms for a mere 24 OOC hours with an inability to join Death Enabled threads before being sent back to Otherworld. In addition, they can purchase both normal and LTO items normally exclusive to the Afterlife even when in the living realms.
