It was a calm day, relatively quiet and even a bit dry for being the east. Lotuce had been relaxing in the East City for a few days at this point. He was sitting in a simple little cafe having a coffee and a small sandwich, nothing too extravagant, just something to wake him up. It was nice doing this every once in a while. As he sat there, he wondered if anything interesting would happen on this day. Sighing a bit, the young Saiyan decided that staying at this cafe would result in nothing of interest happening.
Placing his money on the table, he slowly stood and drained the rest of the coffee in his mug before placing it down. The wind blew hard, the Saiyan enjoyed sitting in the outdoors sections of places such as this for just this reason. It was a nice feeling to have the cool, stiff breeze blow against his skin. He wrapped his brown Saiyan tail around his waist as he slowly floated upwards into the sky. He floated in the sky for a bit, wondering where he should go next, he was starting to grow a bit bored of this city.
Sure, East City was nice and all, but he needed a change of pace or else he was going to grow too lax, he was already beginning to feel that laxness settle in on him. Sighing a bit, he decided he would head west. As such he began to fly towards the west, at first a bit slow as he wanted to enjoy the feeling of this breeze as it was. However, things would change a bit when he suddenly saw a strange looking creature on the ground, something he had not seen before.
He was used to seeing animals given form, but they were usually somewhat humanoid if having some animal features and able to discern as such by the untrained eye. However, the creature that he saw below him was definitely something more...unique. Lotuce being a bit curious decided to float down to the creature, unable to even determine its gender. He floated down with a slight sense of haste as he wanted to make sure that the being did not leave the area too fast, hopefully this being was a fighter.
“Hey you! You with the spring onion tail! Whats your name?! Are you a fighter?” Shouted Lotuce as he got closer to the creature, close enough to discern some basic colors. The tail had looked like a spring onion or some other sort of fruit, he decided to give him a nickname of ‘negima’ in his head for now. The Saiyan was also assuming that he was a male based on what he could see, as such the man would be interesting to interact with. Hopefully he was able to fight in some fashion, Lotuce could use a good work out this morning after all. He wanted to work off some of his pent up boredom after all.
Eregla hummed to herself as she headed out of East City with supplies on hand. As much as she didn’t enjoy shopping trips to the big cities, this time wasn’t as bad! She had worn a cloak this time to hide her more alien features. Being regarded as just an Arcosian was a lot easier than being looked at like a freak of nature! Sometimes, she wished that she looked just like everyone else, but then she would lose what made her special, and what her father, mother, and uncle Oboe had given her. She felt a little bad for thinking of it like a burden when she reminded herself of them.
Now that she was outside of the city, Eregla felt comfortable tossing back the hood of her cloak and letting her golden hair enjoy the sunlight. Ever since Uncle Oboe had infused her with his DNA, sunlight felt a lot better for some reason. She smiled, reaching back to undo her ponytail and just let her hair down for a bit. Two green antennas bounced to the front of her head as she let them loose from the hair tie. They kind of surprised her! She sometimes forgot that she had them. Lifting a hand to touch one, she twitched the tip of her tail. These were the newest edition. She’d grown them just recently, so they felt a little alien to her. The horns and bio armor she was used to. She had been born with those! She wondered if she would change anymore as she got older… hm. She kind of hoped not, haha!
When she heard someone shouting something about a spring onion tail, Eregla stopped and looked around. She lifted her tail up to her eyes, and, yes, there was a bit of a resemblance to a spring onion. That was kind of funny. She had never noticed that before. Of course, it had been pure white before Uncle Oboe had infused her with his DNA, so she supposed that she wasn’t used to it being tinged with green now. Looking up at the source of the noise, Eregla was a little surprised to see a Saiyan. Surprised and a little worried. Saiyans were a bit of a mixed bag for her. She knew not all of them were bad, but that some of them could be really dangerous. This boy didn’t seem too dangerous though. She decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. Smiling awkwardly, Eregla did her back curtsy like her father had taught her. “Um, hi there! My name? Oh, uh, it’s Eregla,” she answered in a sweet feminine voice, “I… My father was a fighter. And my mother! But I… I’m not really much of one.” That was a weird question though. Was she a fighter? How strange. Was he looking for a fight? Eregla glanced down at her groceries with some concern. “U-Um, you see… I’m a bio-android. Er. Uh. That is. I… I was… Well, I am made up of the DNA of a lot of different species. My mom and dad’s species as well as Uncle Oboe’s species. My DNA wasn’t stable until recently so… um… I was sick a lot? And didn’t have a lot of time to be training or fighting?”
Eregla hoped that would be a good explanation. She felt a little nervous at being confronted like this. She fidgeted and twirled her hair with one finger nervously, her red eyes looking to the Saiyan uncertainly. He wasn’t just going to attack her, was he? She couldn’t even sense how strong he was, so she didn’t know if he’d break her by punching her or hurt himself doing it. She swished her tail back and forth a little.
Lotuce landed softly in front of the girl, listening to what she said about not really being a fighter. That her father and her mother were more akin to a fighter than she was. He grumbled a bit, letting out a disgruntled sound from his mouth. It was clear he did not like being told that such a unique looking person was not a fighter at heart. It made him feel less than good to say the least, it meant that he was losing his ability to tell who was a fighter and who was not a fighter.
He felt like that after his run in with the robot lady at the small tournament. Glaring at her, he looked down and saw the bag of food in her arms, smirking the Saiyan turned as if to start to go away when suddenly the brown tail struck out at the bag in an attempt to knock it down or provoke some sort of reaction to his movements. The tail strike was fast like a whip, it would do likely no damage whatsoever, but it was strong enough that if it hit then he could possibly knock the bag out of her hands.
He was going to get his fight at this point, even if he had to look like a jerk to a degree to do it. However, he hoped to mitigate this to some extent by using his tail and planning to feign ignorance if the woman should have been able to figure out what it was he was actually doing. He inwardly smirked, he had a feeling based on her statements that he could take her if she reacted in a way that he was hoping and planning on. However, only time would tell at this point on if he would get what he wanted.
Eregla felt a tang of apprehension jolt through her body all the way down to her toes when the Saiyan landed in front of her. She told herself to stop being paranoid. The people of Earth were kind. They were nice. But her mind couldn’t help but flit back to her experiences with Athel who had claimed earthlings had hurt her terribly. Her tail twitched nervously. The Saiyan seemed pretty disappointed by the claim that she was not a fighter. Well, even if her father had taught her some things, she wasn’t particularly in the mood to throw down with a random stranger on the side of the road.
She watched as his eyes landed on her bag of groceries, eyes narrowing slightly as he glared at her. This was bad news. Her tail snaked around to her front defensively. He turned as if to leave with a smirk that let Eregla know that he was up to no good. As his tail came up to smack the bag out of her hands, Eregla lashed out with one hand to intercept and grab it. She wasn’t sure why he had chosen to lash out with his tail of all things. Weren’t Saiyans awfully weak to people squeezing them? Scowling at the man, Eregla huffed indignantly. “What is wrong with you?! You’re upset because I answered your question, and it wasn’t what you were hoping to hear? Who even are you? Are you just picking on me because of my Arcosian heritage? I had nothing to do with what happened to Vegeta.”
She knew that the Arcosians and the Saiyans had a long history of war and violence. Her father might have even contributed to it once, but he had retired. And she had certainly never done anything to the Saiyans. She didn’t understand why this one had singled her out. Was it because she looked like a freak? Eregla didn’t want to think it was because of that. Maybe her parents had been right to hide her away from the world if everyone was going to be so mean about it.
Lotuce laughed a bit “I could care less about your icy heritage, I want a fight and you’re here, you look like you know enough to defend yourself.” Lotuce was still facing away from the bioandroid as he spoke. His tail snaking around his waist as he spoke, a smirk crept across his face. If he was going to do this, he was going to show no mercy and get as good a fight out of this as he could, even if it meant he was going to look like a bit of a major jerk in doing so.
He sighed heavily and without warning suddenly spun around and drove a hard kick straight towards the abdomen of the girl. “Defend yourself or die.” Were the last words he would likely speak to her at this time as he hopefully made contact with her stomach. The Saiyan was going to make sure that she felt the weight of his boredom at his point. As a Saiyan having no one to really fight against, well that was a major issue for him. He was going to make sure to get as much entertainment as he could from this arcosian bioandroid.
If his kick had landed he would follow the android and throw several hard punches and kicks at the creature. He did not care if any bystanders were to watch. He was a Saiyan, by default he was much more important as far as he could determine. He felt it was his destiny to help the world...no, the universe remember that fact of life. That the Saiyan’s were in charge and they were being permitted to live simply by their good graces. Yes, he would help bring the Saiyan’s back to the point of universal supremacy, or he would die trying.
Eregla blinked. She was totally surprised that it wasn’t her Arcosian heritage that he was worried about and horrified at the real reason that he wouldn’t leave her alone. He had just singled her out to beat or possibly kill for his own selfish craving for violence. She had just missed grabbing his tail too, watching it snake around his waist where it would be much harder to get without risking herself. She clicked her tongue, annoyed that she’d missed an easy opportunity to end this. Saiyans were babies about their tails. “Look, I don’t want to fight. I just want to-”
Eregla didn’t get much further than that as a swift kick landed in her gut way faster than she was even remotely prepared for. She went flying back, crashing through the trunk of an especially sturdy tree. Her groceries were scattered all over the ground in pieces. Her ears just barely registered his threat. Fight or die? What? What the heck was wrong with this guy?! She tried to get up, but he was on her again. She had the wherewithal to put up a flimsy guard with her arms, shielding her face from his flurry of blows. Her head still spinning, she realized that she had to do something or else be brutalized before dying pitifully. She hadn’t escaped from Namek and survived her illness for two hundred years just to be put down here!
Sending a kick at the crazed Saiyan, she launched herself away from him to reset her stance and break his chain of strikes. “What’s wrong with you?! You’re just going to kill me because you happened to stumble across me? You’re nothing but a murderer!” Taking a deep breath, Eregla surged forward, sending her own punches at the Saiyan. She had the added benefit of her tail. She cracked it at his face like a whip as she sent a combination of punches and kicks at him. Her arms were screaming at her with each punch that she threw after their earlier abuse, but she ignored them. She didn’t have time to worry about her injuries, though she was sure that they were probably fractured.

Smirking he caught the girl’s foot in his hands, one hand on her foot and one on her calve instantly stopping any momentum it had gained from her small amount of movement. He then removed his right hand from her calve and held it high. As he did a small red orb of pure energy began to generate around it, no real threat perceived from the girl as she was. He was going to beat her, but not enough to kill her. No, she was not worthy if this was all the strength she could muster after his threat.
Lotuce then held his hand up to her abdomen and fired the powerful blast towards her gut, releasing her foot as he had done so. If she did not have some method of dodging a point blank attack like that she would likely be sent flying again. He wondered if this would wake her up and make her put up more of a fight or if that was just a pipe dream at this stage. He knew she had more power in her, he was going to draw it out even for his own enjoyment, even if it meant being a ‘murderer’ as she put it.
He was not in actuality a murderer, but he would stoop to being one if it meant getting a good fight out of her. He was determined to get just that and he would stop at nothing to get the fight he craved. Right now however, he was merely wasting his time at this stage, she was weak. It disgusted him to see such a creature breathing the same air as him. She had the intuitions of a warrior, untrained and unrefined, but he would fix that. He would make it so she did in fact develop those senses.

Uh-oh. Eregla’s eyes widened when he very easily caught her leg as if it were she were just a small child throwing a tantrum. Fear seeped down into her spine as she tried to pull away, but his grip was like iron. That fear only grew into a frenzied crescendo when a red orb of ki began to form in his hands. Wh-what?! No! He was going to kill her! Tears stung at the edges of her eyes. What could she do? Wasn’t there anything she could do? She flailed around, but she just wasn’t strong enough to break free. He planted the ki blast in her gut, finally letting go, but it was far too late for an escape.
The searing pain burned her flesh before sending her flying back through several trees. At some point, the force of the blast stopped carrying her all of the way through the trees, so she pinged off of them like some ragdoll version of ping pong before finally collapsing in a broken heap. Her brain had scarcely registered what had happened to her. All she knew was screaming, fiery pain throughout her whole body. Was she going to die? She didn’t have much time to wonder before her vision went fuzzy and then black.
As Eregla sunk down into the peaceful oblivion of unconsciousness, her pain seeped away. The blackness morphed and formed around her. It took on the form of Namek, specifically, the village that she and her father had spent his last days in. His soft smile. Though she had told herself that it was okay that he had died, and that he was old and it was fine… Eregla felt an immense feeling of sadness remembering when she had walked into their small house to find that he had passed away. It felt like she was just trying to pick up the pieces after all of the tragedy in her life. She had to hold on. She couldn’t die. Not when her father and mother had given their all for her to survive.
On the forest floor, Eregla’s broken body slowly began the process of healing and regenerating itself. An attack like that with proper intent would have killed her. But, as it was, she would recover. It would just be an agonizingly slow process as her Namekian DNA frantically worked to repair the damage that had been done.
Eregla is unconscious and not waking up anytime soon. Guess this is a good stopping place?
