[PL: 80,000, Anti-sense active]
While today seemed like your typical summer day, it would be obvious that Earth was always full of surprises, and even Vangreth knew that every ‘typical’ day could be turned into something beautiful or something horrible. It was so different than home, were everyday felt the same and blended to form some sort of mashed existence where he spends more than 200 years without really seeing past 20 of them. But for now, this day seemed to be quiet, as the sun was rising through the sky and lighting up the valley covering the waking settlement that Vangreth was so attached to.
For the Muko-Jin, the day began about an hour ago, and he was training as usual, to keep form whilst waiting for… well… he was not exactly sure. He had an objective, a few of those actually, but never seemed to go really far towards it… kind of like something was missing for him to be able to advance. So that’s what he was waiting for… anything really… that would push him towards his home once again… and finally allow him to save his people from the tyrannical overseeing that seemed to limit them as a species entirely.
When the villagers began to wake up with the sun, a commotion was immediately brough to Vangreth’s ears, as it seemed a lot of them had gathered around the landlord’s house, demanding something, and seeming fairly agitated. This immediately got Vangreth’s attention, and he took off to see if he could help in this strange situation.
‘’ I tell you! There was a creature! Human-sized! With a long tail and strange chitinous plates on her, like some kind of skin-walker! It was wandering around the village, when the sun goes down, and preying on my family!’’
A mother seemed to be yelling, keeping close to her children, who seemed terrified. Perhaps they were the one who saw the ‘creature’ the mother was speaking of? It wasn’t too long before the arrival of Vangreth drew some attention and the whispering halted as the mayor pondered, massaging his forehead.
‘’ Alright… alright… many of you brought this to light, it seemed as if something is threatening our little way of life… but remember, we have our own protector.’’
He looked at Vangreth, and heads turned to look at him, embarrassing him slightly as he waved.
‘’… and surely, Vangreth wouldn’t miss something threatening us. So perhaps we could ask him to patrol around, see what he can find?’’
With those words, it suddenly became really quiet, and everyone seemed to await Vangreth’s responses.
The Muko-Jin, feeling a little pressured, would nod his head. ‘’ No problem, I can keep an eye out for any humanoid lifeform that seemed to be endangering you guys.’’ He would simply say, following by a collective relief from the villager, and a little cheering from the children, no longer scared.
The day passed after that relatively normally, and the sun began to set down as Vangreth began his round around the villages. There was many places were such creature could come from, there was the caves, old mines , the lake nearby and the forest in the East… really… anything could come from anywhere, and Vangreth was doubtful something dangerous would lurk around this place, wouldn’t it simply attack if it meant harm? Or perhaps his signature was keeping it away? In which case, maybe it was a smart creature…
As the sun disappeared in the horizon and Vangreth looked at the sunset for a moment, some sort of ‘ping’ came to his senses, his ki-sensing ability had indeed detected something much stronger than any animals or simple human; this is were the interesting part of the day began.

Eregla's PL: 2,000
Eregla let out a soft sigh as she pulled the hood of her cloak down just a little bit more. While the bigger cities seemed to be more tolerant of strange appearances, the smaller towns and villages out in the countryside were less tolerant. She had learned that the hard way with the first small town that she had entered. Since then, she kept to wearing her cloak when going through them. She also tended to go through them when it was dark. She just wanted to look for any Namekian refugees that might have missed Uncle Oboe’s call to Yunzabit a while ago. They might have arrived late or off target, and she just wanted to make sure that they were going to be able to find their way. The east reminded her the most of Namek with how green it was and how plentiful farms were. It was peaceful here. Quiet. Eregla was sure that it would attract any stray Namekians on Earth! It was just difficult without any way to sense energy. She didn’t possess the innate ability like some Namekians. Maybe it was her Arcosian blood. Ah well, maybe she could make a scouter for herself! She was pretty handy with electronics. She smiled wryly at herself as she walked down one of the country roads with a big map in her hands. Several of the small towns on it had been crossed out with black markers. The next one that she was headed to was just down the way here. She had to just keep going straight until she couldn’t anymore and then take a left. Nodding to herself, Eregla launched herself into the air, keeping over the road. She was lost without the road and map. Her sense of direction was pretty terrible. She wondered who she got that from. Probably her mom. Eregla giggled to herself as she flew along. Gosh, she missed her mom. Dad too, but at least she’d gotten to see him again. Shaking her head as she felt emotion well up at the corners of her eyes, Eregla hastily wiped away any moisture. It was okay! She still had Uncle Oboe, and… well, she had Uncle Oboe. And the other Namekians! They had a really communal culture, so that worked to make her feel like she had hundreds and thousands of older and younger brothers. It was nice. Still… she really wished that she had… friends outside of the Namekians. It wasn’t as if she was particularly close to them.

The ping in Vangreth’s ki-sensing ability kept being felt in his mind, the signature was getting closer and now the Muko-jin could locate its general direction. Perfect, the man would launch himself towards that direction, following the country road that was splitting the sleepy east, and after a while he could see a silhouette flying over the road… with a map. Of course, that could not be it, would it? Just to be sure, he decided to investigate further into it, flying towards the suspect but at a slower pace, not trying to pass as aggressive or chasing it… although he was.
When he arrived near the silhouette, he would try to match his speed with its own and would turn to face the strange figure.
‘’ Hello there. Could not help but notice someone travelling at night, are you fleeing from something? I have heard things about a monster around these lands, perhaps that is it?’’
Asking this, Vangreth was hoping to get some sort of reaction from that figure, perhaps, if it were guilty, it would attack him? Then again, with that power level, it should not be much of a threat, and Vangreth was fully aware that it could not sense its own power, so it could under-estimate him.
The man was confused at so why this person was wearing a hoodie, after all, it was dark was not it? Even he, in total darkness, could not see specific features on someone without being way too close and potentially in danger.
The night had a strange feeling to it, a soft cool breeze was making it comfortable even though summer was pretty strong in the east; the moon was barely lighting up anything from its crescent and the road was absolutely empty, creating this atmosphere of mystery, not unlike the beginning of an horror movie.
Of course, that would not affect Vangreth too much, since the lines on his body were creating a dim light, revealing pretty much his whole body when in close distance, even his face was dimly lit. Then again, he would also look scary in the dark with all these features.

MONSTERS AND MISUNDERSTANDINGS Eregla's PL: 2,000
Eregla had the map in her face, pretty much entirely blocking her view. There weren’t too many towns in this area before she had to fly pretty far in one direction again. Hm… and it was getting late. Maybe she should think about camping out in the woods nearby? She had some food leftover from grocery shopping in East City. She could probably make something edible. Maybe even tasty! Ooh, what if she made a vegetable stew with the last of her food? That could be really good. Eregla drooled slightly, thinking about it when someone’s voice sounded up from beside her. “AAAH!”Her whole body jerked in surprise, sending Eregla reeling off course and into the ground on the side of the road. Fortunately, her body was pretty tough, so the worst of the damage was a couple scrapes and a leaf or two stuck on the end of one of her horns. Shaking her head, she brushed back the hood of her cloak and picked out the leaves in her golden hair. She didn’t put too much effort into it as she suspected that she was going to be sleeping on a bed of leaves tonight, and instead looked around for the person that had surprised her. He wasn’t particularly difficult to spot. He, uh, didn’t look too friendly, but what he had said… if she remembered right, he just seemed concerned. Her weirdness on full display now, Eregla just smiled sheepishly up at him. A strange fusion of Human, Namekian and Arcosian DNA. Something like her probably should have never existed in the first place. Still, she was happy that she did. “H-Hi! Sorry, you scared me. I wasn’t expecting anyone to sneak up on me while I was flying! Um, I’m sorry, did you…. Did you say something about a monster? I-I wasn’t fleeing from anything like that… actually, I was just on my way to the next town over. Um.”It occurred to her that the strange alien man could have sinister intentions. She reimagined what he had said in a threatening light. Wait, was he implying that she was the monster?! Why? Or! Maybe! He was the monster?! He was certainly a stranger. Eregla held up her hands nervously, dropping the map to the ground. What did she do? Uh… maybe if she played it cool, everything would be okay? “I-I’m Eregla! I, uh, don't have anything valuable or anything... er. Uh. Um. Who are you?”

If there ever was a compilation of every reaction Vangreth was expecting out of this stronger-than-average creature that was wandering the world at night, flying in some kind of ominous way, this reaction was perhaps the last one he’d ever had believed would happen in this very situation. When the humanoid threw herself into the woods, Vangreth took this time to actually land and face her, trying his best not to look intimidating while his red veins glew in the dark, giving him an oppressive appearance that would terrify more than most people on this planet after all.
While the reveal of the creature’s relatively peaceful-looking face happened, Vangreth was a bit taken aback; he didn’t expect someone that, while odd, looked perfectly normal, definitively not what you’d mistake for a monster from what he had seen called monster before, and the fact that it seemed to speak perfectly fine, and even polite, was even more odd in that way.
After the initial shock of having this suspect simply address him, he shook his head swiftly and actually tried to converse… you know… it would be nice not to appear as the monster in this situation after all.
‘’ Y-yeah, I actually am patrolling because there is a monster that scares the village where I live. But, why would you travel at night like this? Doesn’t it make it harder to find your way? There is also a few nasty things that only comes out at night. ‘’
Saying that, he would look at the person that was standing in front of him and took a moment to revise his judgement. While he assumed this could have been just another form of Earthling, he noticed that there was a few… uh… inconsistencies, if it made any sense for him to judge that way.
‘’ O-oh! I am Vangreth, do not worry, I do not want to steal you or anything. I’m just trying to keep an eye out for a creature that might be dangerous for the life of those who helped me. I’m guessing you are not the kind of creature who creeps around houses at night and scares children… or at least you don’t look the part if you do.’’
Answer the presentation, Vangreth would take a more relaxed pose, throwing his arm to his side, one hand on his hips, and his shoulders relaxed. His eyes would still look a bit disturbing since he had trouble actually setting sight on the person he was talking to, the nearest light pole was pretty far away and, in the middle of this forest, the low light of the moon didn’t manage to pierce the branches.
‘’ So uh… where are you going?’’
The Muko-Jin would ask her before his ear caught a noise from behind him, beyond the trees. A cracking noise that felt very suspicious to him.

Bringing her tail around to her front, Eregla wrung it in her hands anxiously as the strange man answered her. It seemed like… he was on patrol? Her eyes fell to his clothes, but she didn’t see anything that could reasonably be identified as a uniform. What kind of patrolman didn’t wear some kind of uniform? Should she ask for his identification? Would that provoke him? He asked why she would travel at night, which earned him a nervous chuckle from her. She supposed that might look suspicious to a supposed patrolman.
“Well, I have a map… and um… people don’t tend to like the way I look.”
Eregla was a little bit at a loss for words to explain her behavior. How could she explain that she didn’t like the way that people looked at her as she walked down the street. It was kind of silly, the extent to which she was going to avoid that particular interaction with other Earthlings. Feeling self-conscious, she pulled her hood up and down onto her horns. She was a little embarrassed. While she was feeling sorry for herself, the strange man introduced himself as Vangreth. Wait. What?
“S-Steal m-m-me?!” Eregla’s cheeks flushed a bright red as her mind instantly wandered, imagining things out of a teenage romance novel. A dark stranger in the night wanting to steal her away like a dark prince. Eregla turned around hastily to hide her burning red face as her heart tightened, and she suppressed a squeal of both delight and terror. She wasn’t sure which was stronger. It took her another second or two to register and process the rest of what Vangreth said.
“Oh! Nope! I don’t want to scare anyone! And… I really don’t do any creeping around, though I do a lot of camping! I don’t have anywhere to stay actually… haha…”
Eregla’s stomach growled with that omission. She put a hand to her stomach and blinked at Vangreth, hoping that he hadn’t heard it. Thankfully, he changed the subject by asking where she was going. Oh! Eregla squinted through the darkness at the ground, spotting and scooping up her map off of the ground. Hurrying over to his side and using his glowy body for light, she pointed to the town on the map.
“There! I was gonna head there and then camp outside of the town for the night.”

The Mukojin did not think twice about the reason she could give for her travelling at night, but when he heard her actual reasoning, his head tilted a bit. He was obviously looking at her and trying to find… well… the thing that people did not like about how she looked. It took him a while to realize that maybe his gaze was what embarrassed her, but he turned his gaze away when he saw her put her hood on; perhaps this person really was concerned about her looks, although Vangreth though it was very practical, with the plates on the hands and the extra member she had.
Then, there was a rather confusing moment when his new acquaintance seemed to think he was about to steal her, since Vangreth expressed himself wrong as he meant steal FROM her, but it seemed to have brought up some form of strong reaction. Vangreth was absolutely confused by her reaction, but it seemed like she was having fun, so at least there was that.
Then, she mentioned once again that she was worried about scaring people, which he really couldn’t wrap his head around, and it really seemed like it was a real issue for her, even though Vangreth was positive he had seen things that were easily scarier than her from every perspective he could image.
‘’ So… about that…’’
Vangreth was interrupted by the rather loud sound of Eregla’s stomach complaining of the lack of sustenance it was receiving. Vangreth couldn’t help but let out an amused chuckle at that rather unexpected sound, although he tried his best to hide it since he didn’t want to embarrass the Bio-Android anymore than she already was.
‘’ It looks like you could use some food… I have some leftovers if you want. Also, I know a few spots with some nice fruit trees, if you want to set up camp. If meat is more your thing, I think there should be a few lively animals around her, although it’s awfully quiet…’’
Saying that, he looked at the map she was presenting him and chuckled once again when she pointed out the town she was supposedly going to.
‘’ Well, if you were looking to go to that town, you have walked about 5 minutes too much! ‘’
Saying that, he slid his finger from the village she was showing and moved to their approximative location.
‘’ We should be there; if that helps.’’
When he said that, a few steps getting closer would be heard, alerting Vangreth for a moment.
‘’ Wait, did you hear that?’’ Vangreth would ask, sounding a bit concerned of all the suddent.
