PL: 42,000 Excitement. That was the emotion that flooded Kabe's pint-sized body and overwhelmed his senses as he trudged through the frozen slick toward his mother's ship alongside Nyaku. Today he was going to be training with his mother! He loved that. She was the strongest, coolest fighter in the universe, so anything she could teach him to make him also that awesome was a huge bonus. Nyaku could see how giddy the child was. "Lisssten kid," He knelt down to him, whincing for a moment as he stuck his knee deep into the snow beneath. "You're excccited, I get that. But'chya gotta get a grip, or you'll be too psssyched up to fight." Kabe grinned with excitement. "Nuh-uh!" He shouted, waving his head side to side. With a slow, firm swipe Nyaku knocked the boy to the ground, then chuckled at him. Kabe pressed a palm firmly against the pulsing tense of his right cheek. "Sssee? Too excccited." Kabe scrunched up his features and poked a tongue out at Nyaku, but acknowledged he was right. Picking himself up and shivering for a moment as he brushed off the collection of snow and slosh that had covered his cloak, he took a deep breath and tightened his fist. He would keep his cool, so that he could show his mom just how strong he can be! Nyaku placed a hand on the kid's head. "That'sss the ssspirit. Let'sss go inssside." The two had reached the little training pit that had been put up beside where the Stormbreaker was currently hovering above. Leading the way, Kabe bolted in and shouted at the top of his little lungs. "Mama! Kabe here!" KP: 3/3 - Queen Kayen

The external training area was yet another creation of Barb’s, an effort to create a portable version of the training area part of Kayen’s gym on the Stormbreaker, it was of course still in development but was more than functional enough for Kayen’s needs today. It likely would not stand up to a Super Saiyan training session but perhaps thankfully Kabe was not quite at that level yet. No today would be a far more basic level of training and the only person capable of going golden would be Kayen and the queen was more than capable of restraining herself from firing full power blasts at the training pit, in fact if even she used the transformation it was far more likely to just be to allow Kabe to go all out against her without any vague chance of something going wrong. Kayen stood in the middle of the pit her eye briefly looked to Nyaku as he entered with Kabe, there was still a hint of tension between the Queen and the pirate but not enough that she would take it out further on him or his companion, the look was simply a measure to convey that she had not forgotten and to encourage him to keep up the good work he had done since then. “Very good, are you ready for training Kabe?” Kayen asked, giving the pint sized Saiyan a smile as she stepped forward and ruffled his hair. Kabe was quite strong for his age, far stronger than she had been even but that meant very little in the world they currently lived. His technically impressive power was easily dwarfed by many potential enemies and she was fairly certain some of those enemies were more than willing to kill a child if it meant getting at her. So Kabe needed to be stronger, strong enough at least to hold out until she could arrive.

PL: 42,000 "Alright. I'll sssee you later, kiddo." Nyaku murmured, patting Kabe on the head before leaving him to train with his mother. He would have liked to stick around, but the knowing glare that his boss was giving sent a burning reminder shivering across his scarred cheek. He would need to keep doing better without any more fuck ups to get back into her good books. "Ok Nyaku. Byeee." Kabe called, waving politely to his friend. With a smile, Kabe waved his mother's ruffling hands from his hair as it sprang back into shape. "Yes mama! Kabe ready!" He puffed his chest and flexed his little iron biceps. "So mama, what training today?" Kabe was excited but as always felt a little clueless as to what exactly was going to happen next. Would they be clashing swords? Kabe didn't really know how to do that. He'd been given a sword for his birthday and could do little more than swing it at a tree effectively. Would they be sparring? Kabe stood no chance against his mom, and he knew that very well. She was the strongest in the universe! Above even Yanwang and his magic bag, who had once punched Kabe hard enough that he could still feel it itching away at his chest when he recalled it. Whatever it was, Kabe had a youthful spring in his step as he bounced from leg to leg, awaiting his mom's answer. KP: 3/3 - Queen Kayen

Kayen spared a glance at Nyaku as he departed, it didn’t effect her much either way on him staying or leaving, it WAS probably for the best that he took off, it would be rather tempting to cause an ‘accident’ that might land him in the medical bay for a bit. It was best mostly because Kayen knew it was just pettiness wanting her to do it, he and improved quite a bit from what she was told so best not to rock the boat. “How about we do a bit of practice with your sword? Then we can spar a bit. Have you been practicing on your own?” Kabe lacked the level of seemingly natural talent she had as a child as well as the same natural talent Tarch had shown off which meant that she needed to take sword training quite a bit more slowly with him than she had Tarch. It was certainly unfortunate but while he lacked a natural grasp for the blade he seemed to have no end of passion for TRYING which would with time close that gap. Natural talent was good and all, it made the small things about learning swordsmanship easy, but it was certainly not a requirement. Nero for instance lacked the same level of talent as she had but years of work had allowed him to still actively pose a challenge for her when they had been younger. The sparring would help make for some more serious gains for Kabe, with any luck it would end up raising his overall power. In an ideal world Kayen wanted to get Kabe strong enough that he could last long enough against almost any opponent for her to arrive. Sooner rather than later she would have to try to teach him control of his Oozaru form to close the power gap that would inevitably exist against the upper level of fighters in the universe, people with power boosting forms similar to Super Saiyan.

PL: 42,000 Kabe grinned widely. "Sword! Yes Kabe practice." Admittedly, Kabe didn't really know how to practice with a sword. He had beaten a few people up with one, but that might have been entirely through blunt force of him striking them. He could achieve the same effect with a bowling pin or one of those sticks that made zwooping noises when he turned them upside down. But he was keen to listen to his mama! Swords were very cool. Kabe had recently learned a new trick too. After thinking about his experiences with Yanwang and eating that bag, he'd worked out how to store things inside of his stomach. The first time he had withdrawn something from whatever ethereal storage space his stomach was hard wired too, Barb had nearly thrown up. He thought that was very funny, and had tried to advise her that it was easier to pull things out with your hands that just burp them up. Rearing his head toward the ceiling for a moment, he drove his fist into his mouth and pulled out the long, razor-edged blade of Wildefang from within. With a single messy flick to the side, the small amount of saliva and magic-stomach-juices that had slicked the blade splattered off into the distance leaving it clean and shining as Kabe brought his hands to meet at the grip. He tried to remember what he'd seen in those movies Nyaku had taken him to, and stood in a very mistaken sword stance. "Kabe ready to learn!" KP: 3/3 - Queen Kayen

Kayen was dubious on exactly how likely it was Kabe had properly practiced with his sword, she WAS certain he likely had hit things with it but she was less certain that he had taken the time to go over the basic forms of the sword fighting style she was trying to teach him while doing so. Still she supposed even if that WAS true it was better than nothing, it at least would get the kid more accustomed to the weight of the blade. What Kayen would probably NEVER get used to was Kabe’s method of ‘storage’ for the blade, and pretty much anything else he decided to keep. She and Barb were utterly at a loss on the hows of what Kabe was able to do, all they could really do was accept that something was VERY strange about the boys stomach and really the less questions they asked perhaps the better. Once one started in on the line of thought it boggled the mind. “Great” Kayen said and she was VERY glad she had gone with the metal she ahd for that blade, knowing Kabe his stomach probably COULD break down lesser metals. “Alright let’s go through the basic strikes a few times, I’ll use one of the practice swords so you can watch me if you forget” Kayen said and on cue one of the crew watching from the sidelines tossed a sword vaguely similar to Kabe’s Wildfang at Kayen though this weapon was made of more ordinary materials and less personalized, a simple practice blade.

PL: 42,000 Kabe nodded as his mother instructed him on what he would need to do. Gripping the sword with two hands, Kabe felt the heavy weight of the blade as he began his first set of practice strikes. Even though he was strong enough he could lift and throw one of those heffalump creatures like it was nothing more than an over sized basketball, this blade still carried with it an extreme heft. Once again, after the first few swings Kabe had a sense for the blade's weight once more. Then, after a few attempts through the practice strikes taking care to copy what his mom was up to, Kabe was sure he had a good grasp on it. "Mama!" He shouted, whipping his sword to his side and sliding a foot forward. With a deep, exuberant breath he lunged toward her with a wide strike toward her left side. "Fight me!!"Just practicing at the air was very, very boring. KP: 3/3 - Queen Kayen

It took a bit of time for Kabe to re familiarize himself with his blade, one of the few negatives of trying to teach him at this age and with the relatively high power Kabe had was that she needed to give him a full sized weapon meant more for an adult which meant that for the time being Kabe needed to adapt to the problems of the weapon not being quite sized for him. Based off of the work she had done to get a rough genetic map on Kabe’s likely adult size though Wildefang WOULD be perfect for him when he got older. And really the slightly awkward nature of his use of the large weapon perhaps fit the boy well now, Kabe was a bit of an unpredictable fighter so adding in the difficulty of tracking how and where he would swing his already wildly swung blade would make him that much more of a difficulty to face in a more serious fight. Kayen nodded and made a few correction to his efforts, eventually Kabe seemed to grow fully comfortable with the blade once more and after a bit more practice his attention span finally hit its limit, Kayen pretty much saw it coming a bit before Kabe made his little challenge, his interest in practice swings grew weaker and weaker and without that the boy became bored. Thankfully Kayen was more than capable of keeping his attention in a spar “Fight you? I suppose you’ve been doing well with your practice, a little spar should help you figure out how to use everything you’ve learned” Kayen said with a grin giving the practice sword in her hand a quick spin before taking up a distinctly defensive stance. Most of her work pretty much HAD to focus on teaching Kabe offense, he didn’t really have the patience for something more defense oriented. “If a fight is what you want, then attack!” Kayen put the challenge back in Kabe’s hands as she watched the boy carefully, she was almost entirely confident in the safety of a spar between them, Kabe was strong but not strong enough to cause serious harm to her unless she completely dropped her guard, and even THEN it would require Kabe to genuinely want to cause her serious harm or just put too much power into an attack by accident.
