With a sigh, Aurora sits back from where she was working upon the side of her ship, a blowtorch in hand and the ice of her magic helping to hold the crumpled plates together for a little longer. Friege's cannons had done... quite the number on the thing, and even before that the months in the snow of Mt. Frappe and then the arctic hadn't done the older model any favours. That being said there wasn't much further to go until it could be operational again. Aurora wasn't a genius of any sort, let alone a mechanical one like President Hofferson was, but she knew how to study and she knew how to do things right after enough trial and error which she had fortunately had time to learn when she realised back on earth that having her ship damaged could potentially be the end of her. It also helped that Russe and... Dion were here to help her, the two saiyans (or half saiyan, whatever it was) aiding her whenever the Arcosian needed it. She had initially been tempted to go and ask for president Hofferson's aid, but... well. Aurora wasn't much a fan off that cat of his, nor did she really want to show that she had flagrantly disregarded his warnings.
At the thought of the Saiyans, Aurora's ruby red eyes slid over towards where Dion was, having plucked him from what he had been doing previously in order to help her. Aurora had to admit that when she first met him, she had thought him... more than a little air headed, and now that they were in this... relationship thing, she had to admit that she was wrong. He was even more of one than she had initially thought and she wouldn't have it any other way. Even now she wasn't sure why such a man tolerated her, considering that he was quite recognisably a better person than she herself was. It had to be a near thing, for sure, and although Aurora had done her best to face the eventuality of him (and others) realising just what kind of person she was and doing the reasonable thing... the very thought of it still hurt, for some reason. it was decidedly illogical and the very thought of it already had her preemptively thinking both less fluently and sending her in loops throughout her mind, along the same worn trails.
Standing up with a stretch, Aurora pats herself down and carefully places her tools back on the tray. Making her way over towards the Saiyan, the short Arcosian stands there for a little while, mulling over the words she wanted to say. There were.. a lot, but... "The ship is almost done." What was WRONG WITH HER? THAT is how she starts it? The embarrassment alone was enough to cause her mask to crack for a brief moment as her eyes dart to the side out of awkwardness. "We should- Well, i mean, only want t-" Stop. She needed to calm and think over her words. "Do... you... want to go on a flight with me. Just to test it out. If nothing is wrong, i can finish the repairs while we pick up Russe, and be back on earth in a day or two." She quickly scrambles to excuse her rather forward actions out of sheer instinct before remembering that the other races may not pick up on such things. "That is to say... well..." Why was this so difficult? It was infuriating, being confronted by her own weakness so openly. She was supposed to be stronger than this.
"Do you.. want to go on a... a- a Date?"

The bartender turned heroic battler had been uncharacteristically quiet for the majority of the time that he had been in Aurora's company- and no, it wasn't, at least this time, due to the fact that he wished to admire the other in pleasant, tranquil silence. Before Aurora had found him stumbling about on the beach-side not too far off from where the main conflict that had taken them to this planet in the first place, he had been attempting to find his way back to the ship by himself. What with Carro and Leo going off to do their own thing, Yogu leaving in a huff, seemingly annoyed at the Saiyan's choice of avoiding further conflict, and Russe heading inland toward more populated area in order to grab himself a change of clothes, and probably a doctor, Dion was left to try and navigate this foreign land by himself. He felt a tad bit guilty over perhaps being one of, if not the main reason as to why Yogu had taken his leave so abruptly, and also a little lonely whilst he was by his lonesome trying to find the presumably crash landed ship. But that wasn't important. At least, not the most important thing at the moment.
However, after making his way through the sandy dunes by the beach side, Dion began to find himself hallucinating- unsure if it was from the exhaustion of remaining within Super Saiyan for an extended period of time, dehydration finally taking its toll, or remnants from the last gravity training session he had on Earth where he also was plagued by odd visions of delusional irregularities. Either way, it left him quite shaken- with him being dogged by visions of the Stargoons and Kalabas, whom he had let go so easily, going on to cause even further misery due to his so-called cowardice, and his dear friend Carro being caught in the crossfire-
Thankfully, just as the dehydrated delusions hit their peak, he had sensed something that helped to anchor him back to reality once more. That, of course, being, Aurora- his once glassy eyes becoming crystal clear as he watched Aurora fly her way toward him.
There was nothing much more to say after that godsend. When asked about his own well-being while they made their way back toward the ship, Dion was quick to reassure his lady friend that he was in tip top shape.
Though, while that may be true for his physical state, emotionally within he was a turmoil once more. In fact, it may have been worse than what it had been after the Mountains of Madness incident. At least there he could pin his actions down to ignorance, but, here? Was he really right in letting Kalabas and the Stargoons go? Would have it been better to have died a warrior's death? Will this help to prevent future tragedy? Or only quicken another onslaught for the near future?
These were the thoughts that now tormented Dion as he laid against the shade of a palm tree, eyes shut in an attempt to look relaxed and composed, not too far off from where Aurora was working on the ship. He would have offered to help, but, while he wasn't exactly a meathead, he wasn't no mechanic either, so he decided to let Aurora work out the kinks for the ship.
His eyes quickly fluttered open and focused on Aurora as the Arcosian girl made her way over to him, questions now rushing to fill his brain. Why would Carro be so concerned that Aurora was indeed on-planet? What exactly was the business that Aurora had to tend to? Was it the same business that got their ship shot at just an hour or so ago?
Despite the nagging curiosity, though, Dion was able to push it down deep somewhere else for later, as he looked up at Aurora with an affectionate gaze. She was quite the pillar for him to hang onto. If she was able to keep her cool, then so would he.
Or at least, whenever she was able to keep her cool, considering she was a bit of a stuttering mess as she tried to explain what she wished to do with her bartendy boy. An endearing smile slowly slipped onto Dion's face as she struggled to get out the words, and as she finally got her inquiry out from her mouth, he had already stood up and positioned himself right next to her.
Offering a hand to hold, he shot her a warmhearted grin, saying in an amorous yet lighthearted tone that was characteristic of him to speak in when with Aurora, "Look who's taking initiative..? Time alone with you, is always time well spent. Plus, I did enjoy myself on our first date. So howsabout we get a move on then, hm?"
If she then went on to take his hand, he'd gently guide her back over to the ship, whilst asking, "So, there's no risk then of it, say, exploding or, something, while we're on our little escapade, yes? I don't doubt your skill with a toolbox or anything, just wanted to make sure. I think I've had my fill of explosions for today, honestly, eheh."
"If that's a yes, then, where do you think we'll be headed, exactly~? Unless you plan on keeping us in the ship for the whole time? Which is fine, of course."

Aurora almost instinctively took the hand he offered, even as she raises a brow at him. It seemed they were both awfully forward with one another. It... was nice, she supposed. "I take initiative because who is going to, if I don't?" She responds in what would have been a cheeky manner if it had come from anyone else, but from her mouth sounded far more like a barb than she had wanted it to. This was hard. "And yes, I too found myself enjoying our first date. Hopefully," Ruby red eyes slide over to him, even as she floats gently off the floor towards her ship, "The first of many." At his question towards the work ability of the ship, she lets out something of an offended huff. As if she would recommend taking a flight if there was a chance it would explode. While such a thing may no longer pose any sort of a threat to someone such as them, that didn't mean it wouldn't both hurt a lot and be extremely embarrassing. "...Yes, my dear." She tries. "It is perfectly functional. There will be no explosions unless we get shot at again-" She pauses, mentally freezing at the memory of her battle with Friege. The last she had seen of him, he was sinking below the waves. What if he died? What could she have do-
Swallowing, the Arcosian clears her thoughts. This was supposed to be a happy thing. She could deal with that particular issue later. "...Or unless someone decides to do something extremely foolish." She nudges him with an elbow, attempting to put on a far more cheery version of herself. One must keep appearances. With a wave of her hand, the platform to the ship extended down and she began to lead the Saiyan inside. Looking around, there was still evidence of the damage her precious vehicle had taken. Crumpled metal here, scorch marks there, and the ever present existence of ice running along the most damaged parts. While she knew it wouldn't explode, that didn't mean Aurora was going to even entertain the chance. Especially not when she had magic available to her to help fix the issues before they even started. "As for where we are going..." She trails off, thinking as they make their way to the cockpit. "I am unsure. This was a rather... spontaneous idea of mine, so I must admit I have not planned ahead."
Aurora couldn't help the small tinge of embarrassment creep onto her cheeks at such a statement. What was she doing? She never went into something without a plan, and yet at the moment there was nothing coming to mind as she moved to check the maps installed on the ship, forgoing the seat and simply bending at the desk. Letting go of Dion's hand and turning the machine on, the entire ship would come to life with a low hum, screens flickering on and a few sparks flying as exposed conduits started working once again. "Hmm." She murmurs, opening up a variety of maps located around the gemini twin planets. Ruby red eyes scanned the screens rapidly as she digested the proffered information, tilting her head slightly as she searched for something. Anything at this point. "Ah. Here's one." She remarks upon finding a suitable choice. "A star is going super nova only a few light years from here. It is supposed to be a rather spectacular sight, and it will be another few centuries before it becomes a black hole so there's no danger to doing so. It is... apparently..." She slows as she continues to read. "A.. hot spot for couples. Well then. That seems... Suitable, no?" The Arcosian glances back towards her Saiyan, doing her best to hide that particular embarrassment.
"Alternatively," She continues, taking in his suggestion from earlier, "There is a recreational area aboard the ship. I could simply leave it on auto pilot, and we could watch a few holo vids? From what I have seen of earthling romantic material, cuddling on a... I believe it is called a couch? Cuddling on a couch with some food is also a potential option, should you wish it." She herself was okay with either option. A press of the button would open up the side of the wall next to him, swinging open with a blast of cool air to momentarily display the variety of snacks and food stuffs she had specifically picked out for such a thing, although there was no way in hell she would ever admit that. "I trust you have some idea towards the type of things are watched during such an activity? I'm afraid that upon discovering such a tradition, I was otherwise occupied." After all, researching potential additions to her fighting style and how certain structures are made definitely took precedent over romantic activities. Or, at least, that was what she had thought back when she was single. Now... Aurora was thinking that maybe she shouldn't have skimmed over it so rapidly.

Dion's eyes widened in delighted surprise, an audible "ohoho" coming from him as Aurora questioned who exactly would wear the pants in this relationship if she herself wouldn't step up to the plate. Both were immovable objects it seemed when it came to their relationship, however, with the bartendy boy being the naturally more socially inclined of the two, Dion thought he had the upper hand- considering comebacks and cleverly worded retorts came to him much more naturally than it did for Aurora when it came to their little marital disputes. In response to her confident little remark, Dion lightly brushed his knuckles against her cheek, saying in a low, gravelly tone, "Be sure to remember that I'm not the passive type, Aurora, and most of the time it is you who's left speechless by me~" Soon enough though, his tone shifted from a sultry one to a much more wholesome and genuine vibe overall, smiling in agreement when the Arcosian admitted her enjoyment of their first date, and replying in a lighter, sincere voice, "If it's just as fun as the first time, I wouldn't mind at all making these little dates of ours a common occurrence-! You'd just have to help me coordinate of course, what with me running my business on the side." Speaking of which, Dion did wonder if Aurora was at all interested in assisting him in his more culinary business ventures, but that was an inquiry better saved for later perhaps. Maybe on their way to wherever they would be heading for their second date? Perhaps.
As they made their way toward the ship, a small fit of chuckles left the Saiyan as Aurora sounded quite indignant when addressing the state of her spaceship, with Dion reassuring her with a pat on the back, saying as he cast a calculative gaze over their means of transportation, "Sorry, that made it sound like I was doubting your craftsmanship sweetheart- I trust that you got this pretty lil' thing back in working order! It is your ship after all."
Upon mention of being shot at again, this did beg the question of Aurora's own escapades during the whole Scallio debacle Dion had to deal with, and why exactly Carro had requested Aurora to be careful treading on this planet's soil with Kayen on the prowl. However, once again, it seemed like this was a query best saved for when they were all settled in. Besides, the most important thing was that Aurora was here, with him, untouched, and unharmed.
So, he went along with Aurora's attempts to lighten the mood once more, now choosing to be a bit more aggressive in his approach as he went to wrap an arm around Aurora's waist, laughing again whilst uttering, "And what exactly would you be implying there, Aurora? I may be a Saiyan, but I am not a brute. I know my way around the inside of your spaceship at least."
Making their way into the spaceship, finally, Dion looked around as he surveyed the damage alongside Aurora, both a bit worried at the still slightly damaged state of the ship, but also quite impressed with his lady friend's cunning usage of her ice magic to act as a bandaid sort of solution for the more injured areas of the ship. With Dion being even more impressed at the fact that Aurora, the woman with a plan, went into this little caper with no inkling of a clue as to what they were to do.
"It's good you're finally starting to go with the flow more at least, yeah?" Dion encouraged as she seemed embarrassed at her lack of forethought, moving to position himself behind her now, hugging her from behind at the waist and laying his head on top of hers as support. He found it quite brave, and sweet, of Aurora to get out of her comfort zone like this. It showed just how much she did care, and that was real wonderful to see that he mattered that much to someone. Once the ship's GPS systems finally booted themselves online, the bartender looked at the many choices before them just as Aurora pointed out one that she thought may interest the both of them. His eyes looked from the hotspot description down to the frost demon right below him several times as she read, only for him to simply shrug at the end of it- smiling contentedly and nuzzling his chin on her head as he spoke in reply in an absentmindedly happy tone, "If it's with you, I'm sure it'll be worth our time-! Besides, it does sound pretty cool. I always was a sucker for big, fantastical explosions. Probably a Saiyan thing. I wonder just how many couples have had to visit dying stars in the first place for one to be considered a hotspot for them..."
"Actually, now that you've mentioned that..." The Saiyan's brain now began to run its gears a bit as Aurora suggested another alternative, with him looking right at the opened space within the wall full of snacks- wait, yeah, why did she have this on her ship, was it for a scenario just like this- and once Aurora finished her suggestions, Dion's bright idea had finally finished brewing in his head.
"Howsabout we do both?"
If she was confused, he'd move away from her and their tender little embrace for a second to approach the snackbar, grabbing a bag of generic looking space chips as he explained his proposal, "I assume the ride to this, dying star, would take a little while, yes? Maybe, at least an hour or so of travel time? I have no clue how fast your ship moves so I'm taking a couple shots in the dark here. But if that is so, then why not do our little cuddle couch pass-time during the period wherein we are traveling to the dying star? Set the ship to auto pilot us there, and let it do the work while we laze around in a wholesome little embrace~?"
It made sense to him at least. Cuddles with Aurora as well as getting to witness his first dying star up close along with her? Win win in his mind.
