[Thread's PL: 104,000] [Anti-sense active]
Earth has this peculiar ways of creating quiet days that seems to go on forever; this was a concept Vangreth was getting more and more acclimated to. Those days, after his return from Muko, where everything just stopped and he could enjoy some peace and quiet... and boredom was the kind of those days! It's not that the alien did not enjoy such days, in fact, they were necessary on here, but there was just so much to be done, and with his newfound freedom, he had to find some path he would take from now on, or at least plan how his own would go!
Today was one of those days; Vangreth had tried to go on a little training jogging, cracking up his gravity device to a hundred and keeping it to his base form, he jogged across the Earth in desperate search for something interesting to happen, which was not too rare on this little planet full of life. But it seemed fate had other plans, and Vangreth ended up stopping in Mt Paozu; he was not tired, he was just bored out of his mind! The training he had in the virtual room of the spaceship he borowed made his regular routine all too simple and empty.
So there he was, letting time go around him, his eyes closed as he rested on the ground, listening to the quiet sounds of nature around him. He had given up on this day having anything exciting happen to it and so he thought chilling around the wildlife and breathing in that oh so precious Earth air was a pertinent use of his time... and with everything that had happened to him recently, it was not such a bad thing that he got to relax.
Surely, the alien began to think about what had happened to him since he arrived on Earth... well... he mostly focused on what had happened to him right when he landed. His fight with a saiyan named Russé. It was the first time in forever that he fought an opponent using new techniques, had his own style and the only friendly battle he had ever... well... one that was not a total beatdown like he suffered from Dosu. The Muko-Jin thought about it... it was weird that they never saw each other again... maybe the saiyan also became much stronger?
The idea of a rematch against the Saiyan grew on Vangreth, and he began to think about such an occurence with a smile on his face.
'' Yeah... that would be great. '' He simply said to himself before getting back up and catching the road; he had seen enough of this place already.

Quiet days often have different effects on people, they could mean a day for people to relax on their lonesome and be lazy on the couch. They can mean a moment to indulge in personal hobbies a few will relate, or if you are Russ quiet days will mean an hour to tear apart his muscles until they repair themselves in training. Blood, sweat, tears, and blood-curling screams are apart of his regimen and nothing will change his routine no matter where he goes. The half saiyan's journey of refinement led him to the southern tropic area in search of a deserted mountain, he could never explain why he wanted to go there, in fact, he has developed a strange fixation on mountains lately. Russ's flight wasn't too long as Mt Panzo came into view, there is no snow in sight unlike its counterpart up north. As he gradually lowered his descent drawing closer, a citizen appeared to have left the mountain and is approaching the road. Russ would've ignored them and go on about his business but a phenomenon he couldn't control warranted an investigation, his goal is changed almost instantly as he squinted his eyes to better understand this mystery figure. The entity become more clear over time and somehow they are familiar "Hey isn't that...?" the half-saiyan change dhis flight path and flew down to the surface with haste, he landed in front of the warrier a reason number of feet away from them. Russ's mouth curved upwards into a smile "Yo Vangreth! Long time no see!" greeted the aliean, its been months since he last saw this guy, remembering the time the saiyan had one of his first battles in the desert. |

While he was lost in his thoughts, Vangreth's senses were a little dull, that might have been why he had not felt Russ coming! While he was visiting his memories of his fight with the Saiyan, there would be a clash between his voices that the alien remembered and... his actual voice being spoken out loud?!
He shook his head and looked in front of him to see the Saiyan standing there, he did look slightly different although, something about his demeanor betrayed that he had been through a lot since the last time the two saw each other... Vangreth smiled at him.
'' Yo Russ! Long time indeed! How have you been? I can see you became much stronger since last time, good for you man!''
Saying that, Vangreth would try and analyze Russ's signature, only to confirm what he just said with a bit of surprise; his power was not only much bigger than last time, it was on a whole different level entirely! His eyes widen in positive surprise.
'' What brings you around here buddy? I would be touched if you said you were following my signature, but I have a feeling that's not the case.'' He said with a chuckle as he got up and went up to the Saiyan, offering him a friendly handshake.
Please tell me he was looking for someone to train with, please tell me we get to rematch, that would be so cool!
Vangreth was thinking while trying to keep a casual face, his excitement was not something he wanted to share.

The hybrid took a gander look all over this entity, he couldn't figure it out but something has changed about him physically, did he get stronger? he still couldn't feel his energy so what does he know? "I've been great! A LOT has happened in my life and I've made new friends, its a long story but I've been training all this time to get stronger!" replying with energy, Dion, Aurora, Suri It's true he felt great from being where he is now, however not everything was smooth sailing. In time he will reveal more about his adventures once he and Vangreth get better acquainted.
Russ looked at his offering gesture and returned the handshake, the guy is friendly enough the last time they met so why not? "I came here to continue my training, I needed a new location to test my new techniques I developed, it's not much but I'm still learning" stating his reasons. Russ held his chin using his thumb and index finger. "I was going to train by myself as I didn't expect to run into anyone today, now that you're here I could use a training partner, care to spar with me?" offering a proposition.
His eyes never left the black and red-clad wearing humanoid, excited to duel against him once more. He was defeated the last time but he is thrilled from a challenge, Vangreth gave him a run for his money and he is expecting another spectacular performance, confident he is packing new tricks as well.

It did not come as a surprise for Vangreth when the saiyan said he had been training this whole time; the alien would have been dissapointed if it wasn't the case, or rather, surprised by how strong he could have gotten without training intensively! Just hearing Russ talk about his training and adventures sparked within Vangreth a desire to hear more of it, but also, live his own; it seemed to be bringing some much joy for his saiyan friend just to think about it.
'' Wow! You seem to have gotten a long way since last time, and not only in power! You're radiating such a different kind of energy! I've been making friends too, although I cannot tell you a whole lot happened to me. I decided I wanted to become a hero, which is kind of what I've been working towards lately!'' Admitting that felt a little weird to him, but he had a feeling that if someone was to understand this, it would be the blue-haired man in front of him.
When Russ answered the why he was here of all places, this happy little coincidence bringing them together seemed to make a little more sense! The Muko-Jin smiled ear to ear when he heard words coming from his friend's mouth, the kind of words he would like to hear more often! His aura flared at his feets in expectation.
'' I would like nothing more right now than to be your sparring partner, as long as you're okay to be mine as well!'' He replied jokingly before looking up at the sky.
'' We should probably do it in the air though; the kind of power I can deploy might destroy too much of the piece and quiet around here... and from what I'm feeling, you should be nothing short of doing the same as me. ''
He winked at Russ and then ascended to the sky, through the clouds, with enough distance between them and the ground that he judge they would be capable of reducing exterior damage to a minimum.
'' I also have developped a technique of my own! This fight just might be more interesting that the last! So! Do you want to start from there, or should we transform already?'' Vangreth exclaimed, as he just assumed Russ, like everyone else the Muko-Jin had met, could transform and increase his power. While it was not intended, perhaps that could spark Russ's pride?

Russ's positive expression didn't shift, seems like Vangreth undergo a similar experience during the large gap of separation, however, his tidbit about wanting to become a heroic protector intrigued the hybrid. "Oh really? Good to know your heart is in the right place, I'm striving to become something of a hero myself" pointing a thumb at his own temple. In the back of his mind, he thought about joining the pride troopers but at the same time, the half-saiyan doesn't want to risk compromising himself if he desired a secret identity.
"I assume you grew well accustomed to Earth culture these past several months, your demeanor has changed. Did you ever get a new ship? I remember it was busted the first time we met" pointing out the obvious of his radically different personality.
Russ is happy Vangreth accepted his offer, he can almost jump for joy for this opportunity but his casual attitude didn't allow such an action. "Of course! Sparring with you was so much funt he last time, I wouldn't mind doing this on a frequent basis" grinning. Gaining new sparring partners opens the door for a number of possibilities, he can witness the different styles from all kinds of opponents.
Vangreth suggested they should take their battle to the skies to avoid disturbing the peace, as their power would more than likely destroy the environment around them. "Good idea, though I can't promise we won't cause a scene from our fight if we display our power, it's something beyond our control" he stated, the world is full of nosy people.
Russ followed his acquaintance up in the sky and plowing through the clouds until they stopped at a height of their liking. Vangreth asked if they can start their fight in their base state or in a transformed alternative, revealing he could change his appearance and implying Russ could do the same. Before the hybrid could ask, the silver-haired male confirmed he has worked on a new technique during his own endeavors. "I wanna begin our duel the way we are now, we can transform later, I want to savor this moment" Russ cracked his knuckles and popped his neck.
Russ initiated the first move, a gathering of yellow particles became a ball shape Ki within the right hand, he flung the newly created projectile at Vangreth an attempt to distract him. Regardless of the outcome the blue-haired saiyan dashed forward and delivered a strong side kick aiming for his waist.

It did not take too long for Vangreth to entertain the idea of him and Russ being similar in a lot of points; they were both fighters, looking to become somewhat heroic, and the alien knew for a fact that this saiyan was the one who sparked the joy of battle in him, he remembered vividly his first duel with him was the very first spar he had that he actually got to enjoy. The rise of excitement began to soar through Vangreth has he looked foward to this second fight.
A quick question from Russ made the Muko-Jin confused at first, then gave him an honest and short laugh.
'' You know, I had totally forgotten about my old ship! Honestly, I did not find the utility of a ship just yet... although I did borrow one earlier this month... payed the old folks a visit and beaten a Tyrant that was holding my whole species as slaves... you know, regular stuff really.''
The smile on his face betrayed that he was fairly proud of his little joke there.
Vangreth had an idea from last time, but hearing it from the saiyan himself just pleased the alien so much more; he now knew for a fact that Russ had felt similar about their previous fight. While he was not expecting what followed the first statement, Vangreth's face lit up with expectation; now that was an offer he could not refuse!
'' Oh totally! Sparring from time to time, sizing up the other's progress and improving our style! I can totally see this become part of both our training routine! ''
While saying that, Vangreth was moving around and throwing a few light punches at the air, kind of like a children telling a story and being really excited about it, which he was.
He nodded simply to Russ saying they should fight in their base form first; he figured they could always go into their superior forms whenever they feel like they're on the losing side of the fight! The alien readied himself as he noticed Russ was starting this fight already! Russ's choice of word was a little weird for him though, since savor was used for food you eat usually... and he was fairly certain the saiyan was not about to eat him... or... perhaps that was a metaphor?!
Quickly enough, the fight began with energy projectiles being thrown! Swiftly enough, Vangreth reacted by deflecting the projectiles with his palm; it was about the best way he found to do this, even if the energy caused light damage on said palm. Russ's diversion worked in that way, as the alien was busy with making sure the projectiles where going up, and not down, and did not have the time to react to the side kick!
The Saiyan's leg connected to Vangreth's waist, but the Muko-Jin held himself and would attemp to grab it with his arm, holding Russ in place.
If that went as planned, then the alien would grow 2 aditionnal arms, which he would immediatly use to send a barrage of punches while holding the Saiyan close to him. When the struggle of the saiyan would become too much, he would attemp to do a quick spin, throwing him away back where he came from and sending a few purple ki projectiles for good mesure.

Russ's eyelids blinked at the last sum of information, his eyes then expressed concern at some low life creep capable of enslaving Vangreth's species but it sounds like he's used it being a regular occurrence and he could handle the problem himself. "Are they okay? That's quite the adventure, I'm sure you will find a way to get a new ship at your choice of course" not realizing it was an attempt to exhibit some humor. The half saiyan is happy both fighters came to a mutual agreement of relying on each other as training partners "You bet!" he smiled. it will be harder to gauge his progress from his inability to detect his energy but he surely will learn about them through future battles.
His mouth couldn't stop grinning, being successful in striking an opponent will always be endearing, that feeling of joy is short-lived as his smile vanished, his leg caught within Vangrath's grip, and soon he is entangled in his arms, all four of them. The world suddenly became blurry, disjointed by a valley of fists punching his skull. He recognized that technique from a foe he fought long ago and he had no countermeasures to dealing with multiple arms, and it looks like nothing has changed. Eventually, Russ shoved his knee in Vangreth's lower section to try and break free but the man has other plans, he would throw the hybrid away and shoot a ki blast.
Russ threw a ki blast of his own to destroy it canceling out the projectiles. "My turn" he darted towards Vangreth attempting to deliver a hefty beatdown with a flurry of punches and kicks. To finish off his consecutive strings he cuffed his hands together and thrust his hands forward, a turquoise-colored energy wave is heading for the white-clad alien.

This fight overall had gone with a great start for Vangreth! Not only had he taken the first advantage, but it seemed as if, while they were equally strong in his eyes, and according to his ki-sensing, the Muko-Jin proved that some of his technique could give him an edge over his rival!
When he saw their ki projectiles colide and send shockwaves through the sky, the alien could not help but smile ear to ear this very... excited smirk, one that was very Saiyan-like in essence. He was enjoying this fight a lot already, and it was only going to become more interesting as it went along!
'' Well then show me my Saiyan friend! Unleash your strenght upon me and let us clash with all of our might! ''
Vangreth's blood was boiling, his aura flared around him menacingly, like a space cloud about to explode into a star, right before Russ came back in close quarter for another round!
This other round however, would most likely end up in Vangreth's court as well, since Russ challenged him into a battle of flurry of blows, and he had twice the punching capacity! He would simply clash his fists with his own, and if he found any openings in the saiyan's offensive, then he would go for a few sneaky punches here and there, just to keep the saiyan from trying that kind of things again.
Then, what was probably Russ's plan the whole time, as the blue-haired fighter released a powerful energy wave! Now he was getting serious, and Vangreth was not one to fall behind in that kind of games, his previous fights proved so!
And speaking of previous fights, he had a funny move that he wanted to try again!
Seeing the turquoise energy beam coming right at him, Vangreth powered up and charged-up an attack of his own! He pushed his right palm towards the ground, and a spear of energy formed, which he quickly sent to meet up with Russ's own technique!
The two energy-based projectiles clashed between the two fighters, and the energy from both of them met, creating a powerful shockwave and earning Vangreth another quick smirk.
'' Honestly, I don't think it'll ever get old. Feeling two techniques clash and fizzle like this. I guess I just really like clashing with someone as strong as me.''
He would say to Russ right before charging back at him, this time however, he did not want to create yet another clash between them, but rather would trick Russ into dropping his guard!
Once Russ would be in reach, Vangreth would feint charging up a strong punch to break Russ's guard, only to quickly switch his balance around and attempt to spin-kick right across the saiyan's face. If that connected, he would then follow up with a combo of strong kicks, using the momentum of the previous one to fasten every new kick, until Russ would inevitable find something to counter him; they had to switch things around a little, don't they?

Russ thought he could get the upper hand with his daring strategy but all of his blow is countered and clashed against the fists of his opponent, worse he felt a couple of blows slammed his flesh. Even his energy wave is met with opposition as the titans of power fizzled out of existence leaving him with little options. How the hell is he supposed to combat a guy with four arms? he's dealt with this technique before and yet he still couldn't figure out how to get past its defenses. Perhaps he should learn that trick himself for future battles, it is not like it takes a lot of energy to do that or so he assumed.
Both combatants are enjoying themselves, he is one of the few warriors he encountered to give him a run for his money without the battle weighing heavily in the opponent's favor. "We won't be clashing for long, one of us is going to slip up sooner or later!" he said with confidence, he will have to make sure Vangreth will falter before his pride gets in his head.
Rus watched his opponent charged him and the hybrid resumed a battle stance ready for anything or so he thought. He anticipated a punch thrown his way but Vangreth deciding a foot connecting his jaw is more effective, the only hit he is ever going to get from this point on, the uncertainty of this outcome will say otherwise. When he tried to continue his onslaught with multiple kicks Russ decided to mirror his clashing mindset using kicks of his own, two can play that game! Deciding enough is enough, the optimistic hybrid stops clashing and swayed his head to avoid the continues string of kicks, Russ latched on to two of his forearms and attempted to backflip kick on Vangreths face, if successful the saiyan would rolled upwards after him and slammed an axe kick on the chest.
Russ extended a hand and fired a turret of Ki blasts at his foe.

This whole fight was being really amusing for Vangreth, and he hoped that Russ was having the same kind of fun as he was! In this moment, the alien knew exactly why he had began to like fighting after his initial clash with Russ; for he was not fighting to protect an hypocritical tyrant, or fighting to kill for that matter, but he was trading blows with a friend and improving himself in the process. There was something subtle in fights like these, some kind of underground conversation that warriors like Vangreth and Russ could exchange only with their fist and passion.
When his saiyan friend spoke however, Vangreth could not help but disagree.
'' Oh you think? With how close our energy signature is, I assure you both of us could do this for a while! Not that I complain, of course, because I am enjoying myself quite a bit right now!'' He said in answer to his remark, a smirk on his face.
The trade of kicks between them both was surprisingly much closer than them trading punches! Well, unsurprisingly, because Vangreth was not using four legs to essentially cheat. However, what he did not expect was the saiyan's move, which landed the initial kick right on his jaw and opening his guard wide up for the axe kick to deal as much damage as it possibly could! Both hit connected with a violence that he had not expected, Russ was getting heated up, and Vangreth wondered if he pushed him a little further, what could he possibly discover? But to do that, the alien would have to put aside delicacy for a moment and try to poke the saiyan where it hurt... and while he did not know a lot about his species, he knew something that was common knowledge; they are big on pride.
'' Alright! Let's take this to the next level, shall we?'' He simply said, grinning as he powered-up his body to the next level of power he had! His aura became fiery red, the line paterns on his body became much brighter and his energy, which sadly could not be sensed, multiplied quickly!
Without a second wasted, with his new form, he would charge Russ with a super-sonic shoulder bash right to the chest! If that connected, he would then chain by punching and kicking Russ while still pushing in that direction, essentially using the saiyan as a windshield as he soared across the landscape.
'' Common Russ! Show me what you got aside from your base form! Surely the saiyan people can conjure the strenght needed to catch up with me! '' He would taunt the saiyan with right before stopping his assault (if it was not stopped before by Russ himself) and letting him lose speed and either crash or catch himself before.

Barely managing to secure good hits on the silver-haired alien wasn't a major achievement but he should be grateful the half-breed managed to land his combo at all. Vangreth's reply earned him a laugh from his competition, if they really fought like this for a while they will surely lose track of time due to being too indulged in their duel to pay attention to anything else. "At some point, we'll need to spice things up, happy to hear you are enjoying yourself, I'm having fun too and we are barely getting started" and why wouldn't he? For now, Vangreth has a bit of an edge between the two combatants.
His opponent powered up into a new state of being and unfortunately, Russ still couldn't detect a noticeable change in his power as it is invisible to his senses. The hybrid is back on the defense again as he was knocked a fair distance from a dashing shoulder charge "Ugh! W-what!?" he couldn't finish his sentence in confusion as the saiyan is suffering a continuous banging on the flesh and bone from punching and kicking. Seemingly with no plan of his own the saiyan is taking his time to think of a strategy to escape this beat down. If he thought it couldn't get any worse Vangreth's aggressive taunting damaged his pride far more than any physical blow he's endured. "Tch, don't get so cocky!" he managed to power-up a fierce turquoise aura and threw his arms outward to push away Vangrath's arms and then retaliated with a double roundhouse kick.
Enough games! Now it's time to show Vangreth he isn't someone to push around just because he has extra fancy arms!"Pride is often seen as a weakness but it makes me stronger!" He created two Root Cannon energy spheres in both hands and then put them together and fired an energy blast volley.
Russ activated Saiyan Pride! PL: 100,000 x2 = 200,000
Russ used [VA2 Homing 33%] Zeni Scatter at Vangreth for a total of 66,000 PL in damage!

After his power-up, and his following beatdown of Russ to try and trigger any hidden power the saiyan might have, Vangreth was pleased to see that it was the case, as the saiyan's aura flared up and he could feel his power multiply, although it was a little less than what he had anticipated. Perhaps the saiyan had just not yet found a superior form? In that case, Vangreth would be a good friend and try to push him towards that very limit! There was no way a race as powerful as the saiyan had no way of powering up to match the Muko-Jin, or any other races he had seen achieve similar feats.
'' Nice, nice! Now let's see what you can do with such a form Russ! I'm sure you're eager to find out!'' He shouted at him, still in a taunting manner, but he was proud enough in his friend that it was showing through the facade he was showing.
Having been knocked back by Russ after a suddent spike of power, Vangreth was expecting him to use some sort of energic-based attack, which did not fail, as the saiyan did just that! While he charged up his Root Cannon, Vangreth smiled widely.
'' If you want to clash my dear friend, you're gonna have to strike harder!''
He shouted before smashing both his primary fist together, charging them up with his aura!
'' I'm gonna hit you with a little technique of mine I learned a while back! Dual Comet!''
He chanted the name of his attack like a good shonen protagonist and launched himself with both his supercharged fist towards Russ and his beam of energy. His first attack would be used to destroy Russ's beam! He punched the beam and an explosion followed as both attack cancelled each-other, but Vangreth was still charging Russ, and he still had one of those punches loaded up for distribution.
'' Don't blink!''
He finally said right in Russ's face as the second punch should connect with the Saiyan, potentially sending him flying far enough to give a soft reset to their fun spar.
'' Pride does make you stronger! But you're going to have to do better than that Russ! And don't tell me you can't, I won't take that for an answer.''
With these words, he would wait for Russ's comeback, more excited than ever to continue this spar of them.

Vangreth knew exactly where to press the saiyan buttons, he knew that becoming a more powerful version of himself will spur his sparring partner relish in a new and mystery driven challenge "Hell yeah! I don't know how strong your form is but let's find out!" admitting he couldn't sense his power at all. His projectile is right on the mark though he half-expected to be defied with a new technique, Dual Comet as he calls it, no doubt his new form would have some new tricks if he is confident to show it off.
"Duel..Comet?" In fact he is quite curious how will this alien counter his attack, he is putting his fists together so he must be doing something. and he guessed it, the male punched right threw his energy wave. "How are you doing this!? How did you-!" and he continues to charge forward and decked the hybrid pretty hard with a second punch, launching him across the sky as the clouds split asunder. So THAT's why its called Duel Comet... He regained his ground and paused his trajectory and shortly returned within range of his opponent.
Vangreth continued his taunting and its obvious he is trying to goad Russ into bringing out more of his power and all this time he wanted to hold off until things get more intense, oh well. That attack did leave a considerable mark and a confident smile from the hybrid would be his reward "I was going to save this technique for last but it looks like I got no choice, say hello to power ball!" the hybrid created a circular gleaming orb of energy and threw it right above him to create a moon of imitation. His body absorbs the blutz waves and gone was the relatively normal sized half-saiyan and in his place is a towering blue monkey of intimidating height.
Dual Comet landed! Russ will receive 139,920 PL damage making his health 69%
Russ also becomes an Oozaru with Ozaru Mastery Activated and he used Power Ball boost for +x2 in Offensive PL

At this point, Vangreth had seen his fair share of transformation around Earth, but nothing could have prepared him for what was about to happen right before his eyes! He had seen demons turn into centaur-like creatures, child turn into adult and more color-based change and mixes that he could keep track of... but not a single power-up was as visually strong, according to him, as what just happened to Russ as he created that strange gleaming orb above him. At first, Vangreth was expecting something to come from the orb and started at it for a while, until he felt a massive shift in Russ's power level, and with it, the massive form of a Great Ape, appearing seemingly from nowhere!
For what felt like forever, but was actually a few seconds, the alien stared at the transformed Saiyan with a bewildered look on his face! Was it not from the atypical color of the fur matching his former hairs, Vangreth would have believed something just ate Russ and took his place!
'' Woa.... what even is that! Russ? Can you still hear me there?''
The confused Alien would ascend to the eye-level of the Great Ape, still trying to make sense of it.
'' Gotta admit buddy, I did NOT expect that of all things! But will it be enough? Show me what you got in that form of yours!''
The alien was visibly thrilled at this new turn of event, and more than ever, he was ready to give this fight his all!
Instantly, and as fast as he could, Vangreth would charge Russ's newly formed body right into the guts, fist first! That would likely not do much in term of damage, but the alien was trying to figure out if the saiyan could fly in this form, by attempting to throw him off balance with one swift and powerful strike to the core! If it connected and Vangreth was given time to keep going, he would attempt to lift the creature, throwing it off its feets!
