It'd been one hell of a busy week for Zhalla, what with jobs inbetween shopping with Aurora and some problem solving discussions with Dion at his bar-- Which also had landed her a different sort of job for once. Ever since having met Nero as well it felt like the two were constantly running into each other in different places, not that she was about to complain about that though, some of those times were planned like their date for example. After all the meet ups, the date and work though the saiyan needed a bit of time to herself to be left with her own thoughts. The best place for that she figured was the Fukurou Forest! It was a beautiful place to walk through overall which made it relaxing, but it was also a place where she was less likely to run into other people she knew along the way, so she would be less likely to be interrupted and despite not having expected to run into Nero at the beach that time they did, she expected that not even he would be here this time around... ... Speaking of a certain saiyan, Zhalla could've sworn she saw a glimpse of that same hairstyle through an opening of the tree's. Surely she hadn't jinxed herself already, there was no way Nero was also here by chance. There was no way to really know without looking though, so look she would! Shaking her head at herself all the while, so much for the thoughts to herself for a moment or two, for now it would have to wait. Pushing through the forest greenery before reaching a bigger clearing, Zhalla would of course not find Nero but what she did find instead was rather surprising. Needless to say she did not expect a full fledged ship to be parked in a field amidst the forest, especially not one of this one's size. Not only was there the impressive spaceship but there was also some sort of makeshift camp right nearby it too with what looked like a few individuals hanging around. Overall this small group looked pretty roughed up much like she did, which made her consider that maybe they were the kind of people she could potentially get some work from. Sure she had a new job with Dion's but a little bit of mercenary or bounty hunter work along the side couldn't hurt, right? Most would consider approaching a gruff bunch of strangers to be crazy and dangerous but it was something Zhalla considered to be just part of the job with her line of work. So approach them she would, making sure to announce herself so it was clear she wasn't trying to sneak up on anyone or cause any sort of surprise. With an amused sort of smile the saiyan would remark; " Hey, you lot got a permit to park that thing out here or what?" It was outwardly obvious that she was just poking fun though but she recognized that she was still a stranger to the group regardless, " Just kidding of course, I don't give a shit about a bunch of papers, though I would be very interested in talking to whoever owns the ship if that's alright" Whoever owned the ship would be the one to talk to about work afterall. |

The Stormbreaker had for a few weeks not been ‘parked’ near the Fukurou Forest, it was not the first time but certainly the longest stretch of time where it remained stationary on Earth, other times Kayen preferred to keep it in the air specifically around the Lookout but with all the mess and chaos she decided it best NOT to potentially spook the Kami further. The crew in general quite enjoyed the change of pace as well, while around the Lookout there wasn’t much for them to do but while in proximity to the forest? They could have a bit of fun, set up a fire pit, do some hunting and most importantly enjoy some good meals from the native creatures they caught. It also provided some good time to train, while most of the crew were not quite as powerful as their Captain they definitely wanted to make sure she knew it was not for lack of effort. And so when the stranger wandered into the ‘camp’ she would be greeted by the sight of about a dozen pirates in various stages of relaxing and sparring. One slightly less pirate-y looking member of the group, in fact not a proper pirate at all but rather a member of the Saiyan Kingdom royal guard was the first to step forward, while the others had their scouters off his more strict training had burned into him the need to have it always at the ready, and he was concerned by what he found. The woman was quite powerful, not to the same level of the Queen but certainly strong enough to wipe the group out. “The owner of this ship is Queen Kayen of the Saiyan Kingdom” a few mutters from the lounging pirates seemed to indicate that such a formal introduction of the Queen seemed at odds with what they were used to as the group chuckled and a few rolled their eyes. “If you still wish to meet with her I can see if she is available” the Queens name was usually enough to send those without actual business packing.

Wandering into the camp and seeing all the sparring and relaxing pirates somewhat reminded her of some of her earlier years of being a mercenary, though she'd never worked with a group of this size and nowadays preferred to go solo, there was still a layer of 'fun' that going in a group had that going solo never did.
When approached by what looked like more of a royal guard then a pirate in comparison to the rest of the group, Zhalla would raise her scarred eyebrow slightly but she'd accompany this with a light smile. "The Queen Kayen?" No wonder she had thought she'd seen Nero through the tree lining. She had heard a fair bit about Kayen from him, mainly because after the child in his care actually happened to stumble across her by chance, Nero decided he wasn't going to take any chances afterwards and opted to tell the ginger saiyan about his sister before she ever got the chance to do so herself. That being said, Zhalla was also one who believed there was always two sides to every story and while she trusted Nero's side of his, it'd be wrong for her to judge the Queen based off that one side alone.
Plus, what Nero had told her was something of his and his sister's past, she was sure change had occurred since and the Queen's speech recently that denounced a handful of members from the Kingdom had personally won her some points in Zhalla's respect book. Besides, she was sure someone like the Queen of the Saiyan Kingdom had some sort of work that she could take up too.
The muttering and eye rolls didn't go unnoticed by the ginger Saiyan, placing her hands on her waist she'd answer back, "I'd love to meet her, if she's got the time of course, I'm sure she's a very busy individual so any time given to speak with her would be very much appreciated"

“Nah the other Queen Kayen” one of the Pirates chimed in with a hardy laugh at his own joke, a laugh that was rather than being reciprocated by his friends mostly just earned a bunch of rolled eyes and begrudgingly amused shakes of the head, the Saiyan was among those who just rolled his eyes though there was the hint of a smirk from him. “Not sure if she’s free for any meetings” he said cautiously before tapping his scouter and getting a read on her power. A general rule of thumb for the Queen was she wasn’t interested in having her time wasted, some random with nothing real to offer the Queen was unlikely to get a go ahead to meet with her but this woman was a bit more than that. She was strong, stronger than all of those outside the Stormbreaker combined. That at least meant he should pass along the message to… well technically to Technician Barb but she would send it along to the Queen “one moment” he said tapping the scouter again to call the technician “Hello Barb, is the Queen free to see visitors? There is a woman here interested in meeting her. High power and as far as I can tell not likely to waste her time with ‘the usual shit’” he explained, there was a simple sort of lingo used between the crew to make it clear how likely someone was to be an issue for the Queen. ‘The usual shit’ mostly encompassed those trying to vie for the Queens attention on matters she had little interest in, trying to circumvent normal avenues for getting altered rates on taxes and changes to trade agreements by appealing to Kayen directly. Or Kais forbid members of the old Elite class trying to embroil her into their internal politics. “She’s in the gym right now so if that doesn’t spook them off they can meet with her there” Barb’s response was quick and simple because she was far more interested in finishing her work on the Stormbreaker’s engine. “Alright Miss, looks like you’ve got the go ahead as long as you’re willing to visit the Queen’s personal gym.” If the woman WAS interested he would lead the way through the ship and toward the gym, leaving her at a large set of sliding doors that at her approach would open to reveal the Stormbreaker’s extensive gym half devoted to traditional gym equipment and the other half devoted to a large sparring ring built specifically to aid in allowing the Queen to test the full extent of her power, presently the Queen was doing some shadow boxing in the ring, a strange red aura surrounding her.

The ginger saiyan would cast a look to the Pirate who laughed at his own joke and after seeing the reactions the majority of his mates gave, Zhalla would chuckle, "Oh aren't you the life of the party? Got everyone hollering with that one" She'd wink, clearly being sarcastic though she was amused at the attempt made.
Zhalla would cross her arms as the man in front of her seemed to check what looked like a scouter of sorts, she could hazard a guess as to why but the answer seemed quite obvious. The importance of a scouter was still something she was yet to learn, as of now she saw them as nothing but numbers that would only make her hesitate or second-guess in a fight which wouldn't help in any way.
Eventually he contacted someone by the name of Barb, Zhalla would remain silent while it was being asked if she could go see the Queen- Though she did crack a smile at 'the usual shit' part. She was sure Kayen got pestered by all sorts of people, it'd be in her best interest to make sure she doesn't also waste her time.
With the go ahead given the saiyan's grin would broaden, "That's fine by me, lead the way" following along behind the guard she took great interest in the ship as they made their way through it and to the gym- It sure was impressive in size both inside and out that much was certain.
Reaching the gym she'd silently thank him for guiding her there before approaching the set of sliding doors and entering the gym itself. Impressive ship and even more impressive gym it would seem! Zhalla would let out a low impressed whistle before collecting herself and heading over to the sparring ring as Kayen appeared to be using it presently. Now Nero had told her a lot of things about the Queen, namely a lot of bad things, but she was all for hearing both sides of a story and had thought much better of Kayen and the Saiyan Kingdom ever since the Queen made a speech to denounce a handful of bad saiyans in the group. Of all the things that were said though, there had been no mention of the fact that she was also very easy on the eyes much like Nero was. Zhalla would clear her throat though and readjust her jacket, that wasn't why she was here.
"Sorry for the interruption Kayen, but I've been hearing a lot about you recently. Quite a bit from your brother actually. But I also once worked with a Saiyan you recently denounced from the Kingdom as well, Scallio that is. However I left his group when he started down a path that I didn't agree with and after seeing your broadcast I thought I'd reach out to you, see what you're about personally and maybe offer my services to you instead, should you need it"

Kayen paused after one last jab as the doorway to the gym slid open revealing a woman and a quickly retreating member of her crew, she snorted a small laugh at the sight as she knew it was likely someone who felt her aura and decided not to stick around on the off chance she was in a bad mood. The stranger however seemed unbothered, Kayen reached out with her senses and could feel that the woman was reasonably strong, not quite to Auber’s level but more than enough to take a planet if left to her own devices, quite interesting. What was more surprising was that when she mentioned having heard of her it was apparently partially through Nero of all people, and that she was apparently a former member of Scallio’s group, the Crimson Apes. “I’m amazed you’d seek me out if Nero’s where you’ve been hearing about me” Kayen said with a chuckle that didn’t quite have her usual mirth behind it. “Yeah Scallio… everything about what happened with him is unfortunate. I’m not sure if there was anything I could have done differently to set him right” Kayen frowned a bit at that, would Scallio have ended up ‘better’ if she’d been a bit more proactive with how she handled things in the Kingdom? Maybe but his issues seemed deeper than what she could have easily dealt with. “I’m always looking for new people, you looking for something long term, a part of my crew or the Kingdom? Or some merc work? Either is fine with me though my obvious preference is to keep people around me for the long haul. I’ve actually got plans coming up soon that would benefit from some extra power at my side” She didn’t quite know what to expect on Beppa but having a group of people all quite reasonable in power and a few planet-buster tier fighters like Zri would go a long way to make things easier if things went sideways.

Zhalla seemed a little confused at the way the crew member retreated away once the doorway to the gym opened, though she figured it was potentially because of something she herself couldn't sense... Or perhaps because Kayen herself was just intimidating, she was a Queen to be reckoned with afterall.
"Considering what he's said, I can understand why you'd say such" Flicking her tail as she fixed the collar of her jacket, she'd offer the other Saiyan a smile. "But despite what he might have to say I reckon there's more then one side to every story and just hearing out his wouldn't be fair-- Besides, if I'm honest he only made me more curious to actually meet you for myself" Truth be told she was the kind of person who found herself become more curious the more she was told to avoid something or someone. "Though I understand his reasoning, I'm sure you have your own for everything that's happened as well"
When it came to Scallio the Queen's response surprised her a little as she showed some ounce of regret about what happened with the mohawked Saiyan. "It was unfortunate yeah, but there's only so much you can do to help in that case, he's his own man and the choice to change was his to make at the end of the day" She'd huff lightly and cross her arms over her chest, perhaps one day the red haired Saiyan could correct his own course eventually? She was at least glad to hear of someone else who seemingly thought a little similar to her on the matter anyway.
Placing a hand to her chin in thought for a few moments the ginger saiyan would soon give a light laugh. "As tempting as the larger offers to work with you may be... I think I'd just get you in even more hot water with your brother— Something tells me he wouldn't be all too happy to hear his sister roped his partner into working with her for an extended period of time, especially while you two are still on not good terms. So... for at least your sake, I think a shorter term merc contract or mission would be more suitable."
"Extra power huh? Yanno what... Would you mind if Nero came along with on these plans?" Zhalla would quickly raise her hands defensively as if to encourage Kayen to let her explain first before calling the idea out on it's absurdity, given what was said moments before. "I'll handle the convincing him to come along part, but I'm sure your crew could really benefit from bringing him along with me" Nero was more powerful then he let show most of the time and Zhalla was very much aware of such, maybe this could help prove as much too. This could also be a chance to help the two siblings get back onto being on better terms with one another... Or it could leave them off on worse terms but nothing would change if they didn't at least try, right? "I'd only need your royal yes of course, then you can leave all the convincing to me-- Though, we'd need to know what these plans are about first, if you don't mind?"
