A day had passed since Vangreth left his confort zone of the village that had welcomed him since he arrived on Earth, and the alien was losing himself to the world of Earth more than ever! Aside from the fact that he had to sleep in the wild for the first time since he got on this little blue planet, he also travelled with all his things and had to either pay or work for everything else. This experience already shown Vangreth just how much of this functionning society he had missed by being sheltered all this time; with a lot of zeni saved up and a lot of good will however, he was ready to face the challenges.
But travelling the world in search for a new home did not mean he would have to slack on his training, but he had to be much more practical about it! This would explain why he was now currently on top of Satan's City's buildings, jumping from one to the next; a little exercise in self-restrain and precision, much needed since he noticed just how destructive his unchecked power could be in his fight with Zriracha! Even so, jumping long distances, having to be precise without using his flying ability and while carrying a lot of stuff on his back truly made for a nice little exercise in that regard!
Satan City was truly an interesting one! Apparently named after one of Earth's greatest hero of all time, it seemed to be the place where people who wants to be like that person gathered; a lot of training facility, schools and all around a great place! Perhaps this would be the city Vangreth would live in? Still, he had to visit them all to make that kind of decision, but he was already considering this one.
I wonder what kind of job I could get here... perhaps I could train people? I'm fairly good at that. Although it seems to restraing quite a lot... perhaps I should go for something that allows me to travel and train like I do? Something more sporadic, that I can do when I need Zenis... uh...
This line of though was not going anywhere, he could not find a way to earn zenis other than what he was already doing, not without sacrificing a lot in the other domains of his life...what dilema he was facing!
While thinking about stuff, Vangreth would sit on the verge of a building, sipping a bubble tea he bough earlier and observing the streets of Satan City in the middle of the day... humans really went far to establish their society didn't they... everyone seems to have a part to play, it was beautiful to watch! Although the Muko-Jin would like to know at once if he could have that kind of synergy with everyone else here, or would he forever be that odd one out, the anomaly that did not really fit anywhere, yet existed all the same.

PL: 29,400
Satan City…
It was much like the other two cities he had been to, filled to the brim with people, loud beyond belief and plenty of places to hide in the shadows. Mac was looking out from one of those shadows now, resting between two buildings. Around him were three bodies. Muggers. He was cleaning the blood off of his swords with a rag when something fast caught the corner of his eye. He turned his head but it was gone. He dropped his blade and ran to the alley’s edge to see if it was still in line of sight. All he saw was a humanoid with a large backpack bouncing from building to building before it went around a corner.
He was shocked. Could there be someone else like him on this world? Well trained but without Ki? That could explain why this person wasn’t flying. Whatever the reason, he was going to find out soon enough. He grabbed his blade and put it into the sheath on his back. Although there was still a little bit of blood on his clothes but this was more important. Taking out his grappling gun, he shot it at the top of a nearby building and was pulled to it. He leaped the buildings ledge and began chasing after the person.
After several minutes of flipping, grappling, and parkoring his way across buildings that the other passed with ease it finally came to rest on a building that was relatively close. He was drenched in sweat from the effort and heat of his layers of clothes. He slowed down and lowered his ki without conscious effort before going to the short wall on the buildings edge.
His eyes narrowed in annoyance as he saw who it was. It was the pale skinned… being. What was his name? Vargeth? Vangirth? Whatever it was he was too annoyed to care. The being was very strong and that he was too innocent to be an enemy. A friendly greeting would be appropriate. He began creeping up behind the alien, hoping to recreate the scene of their first meeting.
When he was close enough, Mac’s ki surged and he attempted to put him into another headlock. Whether or not it lands, Mac says “Hello again, Vargeth. What are you doing out here?”

While Vangreth was completely unaware of the person that was following him and sneakily evading his eyesight, the alien sipped his bubble tea with no care in the world. On Earth, there was next to no being that would actually be able to fight him at this point; he knew a few, but only one of them was actually a threat as far as he was concerned... And while Vangreth was not particularily dumb, he gave no care about the fact that some people were able to escape his ki-sensing ability by supressing the power inside of them... a power he did not possess, as his signature never appeared in any way outside of when he unleashed a very strong attack.
For a short moment before the headlock, Vangreth would feel a signature pop out of nowhere in the general area behind him... and it felt a little familar, which distracted him.
Wait... where have I felt this signature before...? It feels like someone I know... can't remember who though...
He though before his head was locked in placed by strong human arms, which would spark his memory and make him remember who that person was! Then, the human spoke and, while Vangreth was not resisting the headlock, he would look at Mac in the eyes.
'' Hey it's... uh... ''
Vangreth suddenly felt a little bit of shame... he had no memories of that person's name at all... that was very non-polite of him!
'' ... You! Right, you! From the big tower thing, with the android-guy!''
He said, trying to sound as if he simply did not need to specify Mac's name; that was a long time ago, and he had plenty of names to remember since then!
'' Do you always introduce yourself with the head thing, or is that an us kind of buisness? ''
He would ask with an amused ton.
'' Because I'm fairly certain I could not get out of this physically without transforming, good technique!''
With those words, he would give Mac a thumbs up.
'' So how have you been? Did you ever figure what that tower was for in the end? I can feel you got a whole lot stronger too, good job! You're making it second in my strongest Earthling met yet! I apologize if it feels a little rude that I judge you on your energy signature while you could not possibly judge me on mine, just know that I can't help it.''
It would be obvious, if Mac was paying attention, that Vangreth has had a drastic change in his behavior... going as far as not answer the one question he was asked, but going on forever about other things.

Mac felt a little pride as the alien said he couldn’t leave the hold without transforming, whatever that meant. It was good to know that he was getting stronger; he needed every advantage he could get against these Ki users. It didn’t really matter to him that Vangreth didn’t remember his name, the less people knew about him the better.
He let go of the pale person after the complement. “I have only done this on you because I thought you might find it amusing. Luckily you did and I didn’t have to get tossed like I did last time.” He put his hand on his right side.
Then Mac was bombarded with information. He took a deep breath and prepared respond to him. “I have been well. I have started to train again thanks to our previous fight. I think the tower was a house of some sort of god if I remember correctly from what the white haired man said. I am appreciative for the complement and information, I have no comparison for my own power and to know that I am getting stronger is good.”
He exhaled. He didn’t like talking much in the first place and talking that much was annoying to him. He preferred to stay in the back ground and listen. The bizarre think was how much his personality seemed to change between when they had met and now. Many times on his world when this happened it grew into a issue that would be difficult to deal with, so nipping it in the bud was the best option.
“Are you well? You seem much different from when we met before.”

Admitedly, Vangreth was fairly aware of the mountain of information he threw at the human; he knew how he could get sometimes, but he had gotten use to transfering information in such a fashion; turns out, people on Earth lost interest quick rapidly if you do not express exactly what is on your mind and what you need in a way they will instantly understand. The alien chuckled when the Earthling mentionned that this time around he did not have to be tossed, well, this time Vangreth actually knew him, so he did not felt the need to defend himself.
'' Yeeaahh... sorry about that again, I usually react this way when people threaten my life... I guess that makes for a poor first impression, doesn't it...'' He said, nodding to himself; he would have to take mental note of that.
Hearing all of Mac's answer kind of gave Vangreth a taste of his own medecine, as he got hit with a load of information at once, although he managed to pick the important information out of it and kind of let the rest go by. It was kind of a game for him, and he was surely winning! Although, was it fair since Mac did not know he was playing?
When he was asked about his current state, Vangreth's eyes would become slightly more serious.
'' To be honest, I feel a bit lost right now. Just left my home for the past year, the whole time I was on Earth, I had a place to go back to whenever I went exploring, but now, I have to find a place to go back to before I can do anything else. Earth is a big place, and I did not want to be a burden on some people to enjoy only the part that is convenient for me... You know what I mean? Like, I was in a protective environement so I only got to live part of what a real Earthling does. ''
While the concept of parenting was a bit lost on Vangreth, experiencing the moment where you have to leave the familial home to find your own place seemed to happen to even the strangest of aliens on Earth.
'' What about you? Have you managed to get better at that life-long task of yours you mentionned last time? I know you said you failed back then because you felt weak, but certainly now it must be going better, right?'' He asked innocently, not realizing that objective of his was probably criminal in nature.

Mac was playing with a knife as he listened to the being speak. He was quite emotional wasn’t he? Becoming distraught over not having the comfort of a home to go back to. Having never felt at home anywhere, Mac wasn’t in a good position to give advice but right now this person needed comfort and an if Mac could give that, he may just gain his first ally on earth.
“Yes, things are going ‘better’, but I am still far from my goal but progress is progress.” He put his knife under his bandana he began chewing on the knife’s tip as he thought about his response. He was getting antsy from all the talking. He wasn’t used to supporting people emotionally like this but he needed an ally just as much as Vangreth needed to talk right now.
He took the knife out of his mouth and sat down. “You seem to be at an impasse.” He began, “Stay in comfort or go on to live your life. I have never really felt like I had a home, I would travel for months at a time by myself, so I don’t know what you’re going through.” He looked out at the skyline in front of him as if considering his options. “But if you need a place to stay I have a cabin in the woods at a place called Mount Paozu. You can go there whenever you like I don’t use it very often anyway.”
Giving something away almost hurt Mac but it could be very beneficial in the long run. Having a powerful ally never hurt.
"So what are you looking for during this exploration of yours?"

At first, the alien was pleased to hear that this Earthling seemed to be doing progress in the right direction; he seemed much better about it than last time, not admitting defeat because he was outmatched was a huge step foward in Vangreth's eyes... or perhaps he had no idea he was outmatched here? If that was the case, Vangreth would not push it and aknowledge he was much stronger than him... there would be nothing good coming out of that pandora box.
'' Progress is indeed progress... it seems to be pretty hard for Earthlings too, so getting where you stand, it's already an accomplishement by itself! From the look of it, you haven't reached your peak yet, nowhere near in fact! ''
Vangreth meant it as a compliment; his intention was not to point out that he had a lot of progress to make still, but to salute the progress he had already made.
The alien shrugged and shook his head lightly after Mac was done talking about his situation; he could understand the confusion, but had to correct him nonetheless.
'' The impass is something I already crossed not so long ago; I quit the home I had made. I admit you must have a much better idea of what this lifestyle is than me, but this...''
He motionned to his bag, with everything he owned in it.
'' ... this is not about having a home to go back to... it is to build one that's going to be mine. ''
He paused for a moment; resting his hand on the bag with a smile on his face.
'' What I'm looking for is... frankly... to be a part of Earth. I've been living here for a full year now, and even helped around quite a bit. But if I want to make Earth my home, I have to settle down on my own, as it where.''
Finally putting this into words, Vangreth was quite pleased with himself! He turned back to Mac and chuckled.
'' Thanks for sending me down that mental path, I think I needed to have that little reflection... you're a nice perso uh...''
He still had no gotten his name back... dammit!
'' ... anyway! Since you said you were a traveler yourself, what brings you to Satan City? Is it the money to be made? I bet it's the money to be made! From the look of you, I doubt it's the school, so it has to be wealth!''
There was definitively a playful side to Vangreth has he tried to figure out what could possibly bring Mac to Satan City... if only he was observant enough to notice the blood that was loft on him by his last victim...

A nice person? Mac had been called a lot of things, monster, killer, psychopath, but never a “nice person.” Perhaps, right now, he was, but he knew Vangreth was wrong in the grand scheme. He had done too much to ever be redeemable, things considered atrocities even by his own people. Make no mistake, he felt no guilt for what he did, he just knew that he could never truly be nice.
It was good to know he helped Vangreth to figure what he was after. Everyone had been at one point even someone as young as Mac. Sometimes he wished had could find a home like the one the pale being now looked for but he had decided his fate after there first interaction at the tower. He was meant for a life of fighting. Now that the alien’s issue was resolved, it was time for Mac to use the situation to his advantage.
“I have no care for the green paper you call money. I suppose I came here looking for a way to get stronger. Speaking of Would you be willing to assist my efforts?” He brought out his shotgun. “I have new weapons and am eager to try them out, if you are willing. Be warned that I only have live ammunition so if you wish to stick to melee it would be understandable”

The moment Vangreth seemed to have found an answer to his own problem, with the help of Mac, he seemed to be much more at peace, although he was still bubbly and energic as he became. The Alien got up from his sitting position and cracked his neck, ready to keep going on his exploration... well... he believed that was going to happen until the Earthling mentionned something that Vangreth too well where it was going next.
Oh... he's gonna ask for a spar isn't he... should I tell him he doesn't stand a chance? No, I can't do that... not now that he is all pumped up like that... what should I do...? Perhaps I could... yes! Certainly I could pull my punches and over-react a little on his attacks... yes, that should make it credible!
His mind was spinning really fast to come out with a plan not to dishonor the Earthling; he was making progress towards his goal, Vangreth had no intention of ruining the progress he had made by tossing him away like last time... no... this time, he would try to fight him using technique, not raw power alone! That could also serve as training for him as well!
'' I see were you're going with this friend. ''
Saying that, Vangreth saw Mac pull out what seemed to be a bigger version of weapons he saw policemen carry around... those who created tiny explosions to shoot a bunch of metal into someone... so he was fighting wiht that? Sure, Vangreth was a bit dissapointed about it, but... maybe there was something he did not know about it? Perhaps it could shoot lava! Who knew, with a power like his, there was no way this human was preferring weak technology-based weapon to his fist without a very good reason.
'' Alright! This roof looks abandonned enough so there should not be too much disturbance... you can go with whatever you have, I'll have you know I can more than take my fair share of damage. Winner by incapacitation? Fainting? Until one of us surrenders? I'm open to pretty much anything really.''
Vangreth began to jump around on one leg at a time, visibly hyping himself up to this little duel he was going to have with the Earthling.

Mac saw the look on Vangreth’s as he gazed at the gun he held. It was the look of doubt. A look many on this planet seemed to hold for guns was that they were too weak to deal much damage but they had all been dead and wrong so far. But this alien was a different beast. He was far stronger than any so far and, recalling how the android from before was able to catch his bullets, he needed to be careful of how he approached this threat.
“Good to see your game. Loser taps out.” he said blankly as always. He turned his back to Vangreth, putting his shotgun on his shoulder and look down at the street below. Mac wasn't showing it but he was very excited to see how far he had come. All that training in the forest wouldn't be wasted.
“Good luck and my name is Mac as you seem to have forgotten.” The shotguns barrel was angled right at Vangreth and fired while it was still on his shoulder. Mac quickly turned around and pulled out his grapple gun, firing it right behind Vangreth.
He flew toward him at high speed with his knee out hoping to put it in his training partner's gut. If it landed or was blocked he would kick off the alien and pump the gun before firing one more shot. Landing something was going to be hard but the shot gun would hopefully do its job and keep him at bay long enough for him come up with a plan to end the fight

The blank tone Mac was using kept making Vangreth unsure about him; usually, people saying things like that would be more challenging, or cocky, but he kept a level of excitement that was bellow anything the Muko-Jin had seen so far... It just felt so different than Russ, Dosu or Zri's fighting mood that the alien could not help but wonder if there was something else at play here. He would have to come back to that thought after that spar, if the answer did not come by itself while they fought, of course.
Throwing Vangreth off his game again was Mac upfront way of telling him he knew about him forgetting his name... the Alien got embarassed for a moment and nodded simply; there was no point in aguing further, he was unmasked.
'' Alright then, Mac! Good luck to you as well, may that strange weapon work in your favor. '' He simply replied with an inch of mockery in his voice; he was trying to get a reaction from the Earthling after all!
Without much wait, the fight began, and while Vangreth could feel his he had the edge here, Mac's tactics were unlike he had ever seen before! Attacking while his back was turned managed to catch Vangreth off guard, causing him to step back for a moment, creating an opening for the human's knee to connect with his guts. This is when some dots began to connect themselves in Vangreth's mind, but he was not going to pay attention to them just yet.
Shaken, but non defenseless, the Muko-Jin would parry Mac's following kick with his elbow, taking the following shot once again... that damn weapon, while not very effective in itself, seemed to get the better of him in term of surprise.
Reacting as best as he could, Vangreth would jump for his hips to be about the same height as Mac's face and would follow-up with a scissor-kick right across the human's face, hopefully destabilizing him long enough for him to come up with something to figure out these guns...
Keep your eyes on his fist, his knees and the barrel of his guns... that's a bit much in term of concentration... Where is the gun pointed at, I have to add that to the usual...
He though to himself, putting his strategy into words as to better concentrate on it, although it was slightly slowing down his reaction.

Judging by the look on the aliens face he could tell that he was getting the best of him in terms of surprise. It was true Mac’s tactics of actually trying to be smart in a fight were odd from what he had noticed on this planet. Many just tried to get by with strength and speed alone. But used his own play book that consisted of more than just ‘rush in and attack.’
That being said it didn’t make dealing with people several times faster than the speed of sound any easier. His unnatural reaction time helps some but he could only do so much to keep up. He took the foot the face and flew across the empty roof top. It stung a lot; if Vangreth hadn’t been holding back it might have taken his head clean off. He was dazed from the sudden blow but only for a moment before making an aerial recovery. He turned mid-air and landed on his hands and rolling out of a cart wheel.
He faced Vangreth and crouched down, using one hand to put his shotgun back on his back and the other to pull out his smg. He needed to take advantage of the distance that was put between them. Looking though the red dot sight, he put the gun on full auto. A stream of bullets flew toward the alien. If his opponent moved he would follow him for a while.
When the clip was about empty, he stopped firing and held his breath. Mac switched it to burst fire and took a moment to steady his aim before three shots rang out, all directed and Vangreth’s left leg.

While opperating in a way that allowed him to hold back enough not to wound Mac seriously, the alien noticed that there was still somewhat of a gap between the two. Perhaps it the use of the gun? While he was getting an idea of why it was used, it did not seem to be using his energy all that much, but that could also be true for anyone using the device really... considering just how many Earthlings did not seem to use ki at all, perhaps this was the way they found to defend themselves? Someone as strong as Mac however...
Thankfully, Vangreth was paying attention to their fight, and saw the second gun come from behind Mac, and surely enough, also saw the bullets coming his way! He pushed his palm in Mac's direction, gave a quick little grunt and used his ki to project a wall of force with a push of his arm, sending the bullets off-course. The gun kept firing, and the alien quickly reacted to the bullets, blocking them the best he could, even if there was not much to do about their velocity other than repeat what he had previously done.
'' You know, I think I found out something that might help...'' He would say before getting interupted by the three shots in the leg, which took him off balance and almost made him fall, thanks to his flying ability, he did not, and quickly got back on his feet.
Looking back at Mac, the Muko-Jin showed a malicious smile before speeding towards him, swiftly enough closing the distance between the two in no time! When he would be close enough, and would anticipate that Mac was readying himself to block, then Vangreth would dissapear from his sight, using his non-restrained speed to swiftly move behind Mac.
'' Woohoo~!''
He would then attempt to wrap his arm around Mac's neck and kick his legs out of balance, essentially putting him down and in a choke-hold; while the technique was similar to Mac's flawless execution, the alien was much more inexperienced with it, and the many flaws on his hold would probably be obviouus for the Earthling. Coupled with the low usage of Vangreth's strenght would allow Mac to escape if he did not panic and went smart about it.
'' I've seen aliens use guns like yours, but instead of tiny metal projectiles, it sent energy! Someone with your power should definitively get your hand on one of those! It would allow you more control over your firepower. ''
Vangreth felt like Mac's potential was restrained by his strange behavior; with a power like his, assisted tools with no direct imput from him where a restrain!
