Kamui was always known to be a feisty little go-getter, and she'd often get in trouble because of it. The usual suit-and-tie lifestyle of Otherworld's Ogres never seemed to suit her. Although she always wanted to be like the cool fighters of legend she'd occasionally see passing along, that dream was quickly squashed by her parents, fearing the idea of changing the status quo.
Much to her chagrin, Kamui got her first job as a flight attendant on the Otherworld Plane when she turned 16. Receive the dead people, show them their seat, give them whatever snack they wanted, and see them off when they reached Heaven... Rinse and repeat. Every day. In, and, out. She felt like she was going insane; the monotony of everyday adult life sucked the life out of her like a depression vampire! In truth, it had only been two months. And she only worked 16 hours a week.
Oh the horror....
One day, Kamui got fired from her job. She was caught having snuck into the cockpit and ''Simulating one of those cool war-planes that do that cool spinny thing!'', to quote the red Oni. She promptly punched her employer across the Check-In-Station, a feat that didn't quite help her future employment chances.
Kamui spent the next months letting her parents think she was out searching for a new job, often sneaking out of the house to 'Go apply somewhere'. In reality, Kamui would spend that time in Heaven, looking to find those cool fighters of legend she always dreamed about being like. She often caught glimpses of people training in the distance; people that died long ago. Not quite the legends she was searching for, but they were powerful! And their techniques looked really cool! It was enough for the Oni.
She spent months going to that same spot in hopes of seeing them, every day of the week. Sometimes they were there, and Kamui would spent hours gawking over their martial arts skills from afar. Sometimes, there would be different people, and sometimes there would be no one at all. But still, she would be there, practicing her own martial arts and developing a few techniques of her own.
One day, Kamui found herself in those flowery fields once again, 'spectating' (spying on) those fighters once again. She copied their moves as they fought, punching and kicking the air with glee. However, she eventually found that their eyes were locked onto her from afar. Her face would've turned red, but you know.
They called her over, and quickly introduced themselves to Kamui. It turned out that the two Earthlings had known about Kamui's antics for months, but decided to ignore her as they felt quite flattered with the attention. Kamui was happy to know that they weren't angry at her for what was basically stalking.
Kamui grew quite close to the two Earthlings in that short time. They would share stories of how their life was back on Planet Earth, and how they went about the day fighting evil as a team of Heroes! Wait, heroes? Yes, heroes! It was like a dream come true for Kamui! Finally, she encountered someone awesome! Someone she wanted to be like just as much, someone powerful that protected people from evil villains! Just like in the books.
Ever since that day, Kamui would join the two in those flowery fields every day of the week to spar and train together, growing quite powerful in the process. She vowed to the Earthlings that one day, she would become just like them. Life seemed pretty amazing for Kamui at that time, and she couldn't have been happier.
...And then her parents found out that she had been lying.
They were enraged and ashamed of their rebellious daughter, and forced her to stop seeing the two Earthling heroes. They had found a new job for her at the Check-In-Station, one that she had no choice but to accept: Guiding the line toward Yemma along. Kamui was furious, yet stored her anger deep within herself, biding her time.
She was stationed close to Yemma's office on her first day at the job, and hated it through and through. She'd push, shove and direct the spirits along, her nastiness fully on display. Hours of standing there, simply telling the stupid ghosts where to go next. From the corner of her eye however, Kamui would often spot peculiar yellow Taxis, the ones used to travel between Otherworld and the Living World...Hmmm.
A cheeky plan had formed inside of that horned head of hers.
Kamui waited for the right moment when her colleagues were all distracted, and booked it straight through the line of souls toward the Taxi! She yanked open the door to the driver's seat and pulled out her blue colleague, before climbing behind the wheel. She screamed aloud that she would 'Finally be free of this boring-ass place!!' as she started the vehicle, catching a lot of strange looks from those around her.
Without any lack for those around her or the fact that she had never driven a car before, Kamui drove the vehicle straight into Yemma's office, tires screeching against the mahogany floor. The large and red Boss-Ogre looked perplexed, yet couldn't even utter a single word before Kamui exclaimed the following:
''Screw you Yemma- I'm getting outta here!! KISS MY ASS!''
Kamui then slammed her foot down onto the gas and sped out of the office with screecing tires, flipping the gigantic Yokai off all the way until she drove straight out of Otherworld, never to be seen again. Everyone was speechless.
The Oni managed to maneauver the vehicle toward Earth, and had been roaming her streets ever since. She was going to become a hero, no matter what!
Where to start, though...?
[RED OGRE]: Red Ogres are generally bulky and powerful relying on raw power to fuel them, they begin with a bonus technique slot that can only be used to upgrade an Offensive technique or create a new Offensive technique, they cannot use this to create a variant to an Offensive technique.
[AFTERLIFE ACCLIMATION]: Ogres, being a naturally occurring part of the Afterlife, know the ins and outs of the realm fairly well. Ogres can travel between Hell and Heaven freely.
[TWOWAY TAXI]: Because Ogres begin in Otherworld they lack the means to participate in a lot of other activities in the living world. They do, however, have the ability to travel between the two worlds instantly, though this ability takes a full month to recharge. This only works if the user is alive. Ogres may also travel freely between Heaven and Hell as they please while in the Otherworld, with no need to post in the Travel Log for it. They can also only travel alone with it.
[GHOST BUSTER]: Ogres and Ghosts have been natural enemies since the dawn of time. As such, Ogres have developed tricks to catch the wily spirits. A ghost can never hide their Power Level from an Ogre, no matter what technique is used. In addition to this Ogres receive a +x1 to Offensive Power when they are fighting a Ghost (or a force that has a Ghost on its side)
(Red Ogre Trait, x2 Starting Slot) [A1 - UA2 - MA3]Wolf Fang Fist (Rōgafūfūken): Kamui's signature attack that she taught herself by studying fighters in the Otherworld. She engages her opponent with a ferocious combo of Ki-enhanced clawing and punching, before launching her opponent away with a double palm strike. Her curled fingers and hand movements resemble those of a wolf. (33%, 66%, 100% damage. 1/2/3 KP cost.)
(Starting Slot, 48K, 56K, 64K Slot) [SIG]Neo Wolf Fang Fist (Shin Rōgafūfūken): The ultimate version of Kamui's signature attack. Her clawed hands cover themselves in a crimson Ki as she launches herself at her opponent, chasing them down before assaulting them with a ferocious combo of claws and fists. For the final attack, she reels back and roars out, before planting both her clawed palms deep into her opponents gut to launch them away. (3 KP, 100% Damage, Homing, 100% Afterimage)
>Tier 1 Trait: Adaptability - Homing Variant is added to the technique.
>Tier 2 Trait: Counter - A 100% Afterimage can be used at the same time as when the attack is launched.
(40K Slot) [B1]Gale Claws: Kamui curls her fingers to resemble the claws of a wolf and proceeds to spin rapidly, slashing away at incoming techniques to lessen their impact, or completely nullify them. (33% Barrier, costs 1 CP. Reduces bleedthrough by 50% if Kamui is within 60% of the attack. If not, reduces bleedthrough by 25%.)
(8K Slot) [UT]Ki Sense: During her isolated training and studying deceased warriors of old, Kamui has taught herself how to locate energy signatures and sense the Ki of others, giving her a rough estimate of their set power. This technique does not work on artificial creatures like Androids, or beings with the Antisense trait.
(16K, 24K, 32K Slots) [Assist SIG]Super Instincts: Twice per thread, Kamui is able to dodge techiques within 50% of her Power Level, at no KP cost.
Primal Instinct (x3/x2): When Kamui enters this state, a crimson red aura flares to life around her and her muscles become far more defined.
Feral Spirit (x4/x2): Kamui powers up even further, adopting wolflike traits such as sharper teeth and extended fingernails to resemble sharp claws, as well as defined muscles. The same crimson red aura burts to life, but seems to take the rough shape of a wolf's head.Not unlocked yet!
