Like Vangreth had figured, there was clearly somethign deeper in this subject, something he had not yet figured out, and it was making it much more complicated for the Namekian; the muko-jin had a fair share of cases of a species's nature making it hard for someone who was trying to rebel against the pre-existing ideas of such a species, but he knew nothing of the Namekian people, not enough to actually try and help Violin, especially since he seemed very independant, Vangreth figured that he wanted to reach his own conclusion, which was understandable, so he would not insist any further.
'' I do wish for your plea to be heard. I do not know of these Dragon Balls you spoke of, but if they do possess the power to reconstruct your world from its ashes, then from what I know of them, the strongest people of Earth will give your their support. You already convinced me, and even though I barely had knowledge of your planet. So if people are aware of what happened, they'll listen to you much faster than I did. Earth is a wonderful planet, populated by the most heroic and most evil of beings. You just have to find the right ears.''
Having said that, Vangreth could not help but give an honest and pure laught when Violin mentionned his quick change of heart. While it was true that it went fast, the circumstances where helping in making quick accusation, and it just so happen that the Namekian's story resonated with his own. But for someone who knew not of Vangreth's own story, it was obviously weird that it changed so quick.
'' Don't worry about the suddent change. I had my reason to mistrust you, and now I have my own reasons to believe in you. It might not make sense for anyone else but for me, but that's all that matters right now.''
He paused for a moment and bit his lips, he was about to say something that someone could have easily told him a while back, and could not help but feel the irony of it all.
'' Look, I usually would not be one to talk, I fought my own battles and refused help before... but...''
He sighed and looked Violin straight in the eyes.
'' If you are planning to go against the crazies out there that can obliterate planets, they are not going to fight you alone. You should be doing the same. If you would rather fight all the danger with your own people to prove their strenght, then feel free to do so. However, if you are to fight on your own against all the evil that seeks to destroy your kind, then I simply won't ask for your permission to assist you when you'll need it. We're heroes after all, we fight together, right? ''
With those words, Vangreth gave Violin a wide, innocent smile; even if he had bathe in the worst possible he could imagine, his idea of hero was still pure, having learned of the concept just recently.

"A hero, is it?" The Namekian said quietly, eyes closed and head tilted up towards the sky. "I don't consider myself one. Righteousness in faith is not the same as righteousness in action. I may pray and put my belief into action but even then... I am not pure of heart. It is a path of rage that started my exile from Namek, and to continue down the path I am going now is... dangerous. I am afraid, not of others, but for others. Should I slip too far, become the gentle madman that cannot see reason, I must be stopped. That is a fate I wish for nobody to burden themselves with." Violin stepped forward, gaze once again falling on the Alien. "Vangreth. If you truly mean to help then I beg you to shift your promises onto the Namekian people rather than once such as I. Promise only to me that if I were to lose myself, that another would end it."
A small, two-part clap rang out. Having gone unnoticed for the duration of their spar, Berith had returned. "Well said indeed. After all, even those with the noblest intentions can unwittingly find themselves as tools of evil." A Cheshire grin crossed the Demon's face as he stroked his chin in mock thought. "I would know, what with my family history. Yet Lord Violin's will is strong... powerful. It is why I chose to follow him, after all." Bowing low for just a moment, Berith straightened as he turned to Vangreth. "And I find it awfully odd that your tune switched fiddles so easily. If there's anything you desire from us... best to come clean now rather than later. A partnership founded on lies and deceit is one that will easily crumble under pressure."
Violin twitched slightly, turning to his faux attendant: "Berith! First, you grow irate at his false accusations and now you do the same?" Clicking his tongue apathetically, Berith shook his head. "False? Milord, while his were assumptions founded on nothing but the machinations of his mind, this is truly suspicious. Why else would this random Alien who seemingly held contempt for you before so quickly and easily change his mind in a matter like this? It's preposterous and improbable, if not downright impossible to believe." No matter the nature of their relationship, the Demon had a fair point to be assessed - if Vangreth was is any state of mind to be fair after such harsh and accusatory words.

While he listened to Violin's monologue on how he could lose his ways, and on such a moment, there would be a need for someone to stop him. This speech was all too familar to Vangreth, as he seemed to get along better with the kind of people who could burst out in a rage of evil at any moment... perhaps there was something to be learned from this little fact, but the alien could not really think clearly about that. As he was about to give his words about this subject, an annoying demon decided to interfere once more... and probably for the last time.
As the cruel words and accusation of Berith came crashing down on Vangreth once more, he was not accused of wanting to ask something of Violin, of lying and most of all, his honesty was put into question. Enough is enough. The alien had lost it, and there seemed to be something about this little demon that annoyed him. He could also see that there seemed to be a lot of conflict between him and the Namekian. Something had to be done about it, or rather, Vangreth was done sitting there and taking it all in.
Swiftly, he rushed towards the demon, and in one fluid movement, he would grab the arrogant prick by the by the collar and lift him so that they could see each other, face to face. Vangreth's iris seemed unstable, going from their usual shape to a diamond shape and back a few times.
'' Listen here you trash-talking runt. I don't know what your motivations are when it comes to your 'master', but you seem to want to create conflict a lot more than I do. Your master speaks with wisdom and regrets, while your words are filled with intelligence and manipulation. I have known people like you. If you dare be leading him towards his demise, I will find you. Now you be a quiet little demon and let me offer my help to your master, so that whenever someone like YOU stands inbetween him and his goal, he won't stand alone.''
With these final words, Vangreth took a deep breath and throw down the demon on the ground, making sure he would have to react fast if he wanted to land on his feets.
His attention then turned back to Violin, his gaze softening slowly but surely.
'' I do not know the reasons you keep this thing with you, but I will trust you know what you are doing. ''
He said before regaining his full composure.
''As for the promise, I give you my word. If and when the Namekians call for help, I will answer. If you ever find yourself falling in the path of destruction, I will be the one to stop you as well. ''
His smile finally returned, and he would extend his hand towards the Namekian.
'' But I would rather see you at the head if I ever get the chance to visit your planet. ''

Berith didn't seem all that surprised when Vangreth rushed him, a calm composed smile remaining ever-present on his face even as the Alien all but outright attacked him. Violin tensed for a moment, ready to intervene if Vangreth tried to actually harm the Demon whatsoever, but otherwise remained standing where he was - watching the exchange carefully. After all was said and done, Berith kept his posture - catching himself with a slight gust of magic and straightening his clothes out. "...And here I didn't think you had it in you." Berith chuckled slightly, holding up his hands in defeat and allowing the Alien to speak with Violin undisturbed. There was much more that he could - and wanted to - say. Perhaps to rile up or insult Vangreth further, but whatever reason the Demon held back. It was not out of fear of retribution, that much was certain from his continual casual attitude towards the whole thing.
"I made a promise," Was all Violin offered on the subject of 'keeping' Berith. "He is free to leave when he wants. If staying in my company is what he desires than I shall accommodate that. Even if his barbed tongue tends to get us into trouble on occasion." He shot a glare at Berith which was simply met with a cheeky grin. "That is all I can ask of someone like you. It pains me to turn to others for the protection of my own species-! Yet what am I to do? I cannot train a generation of warriors to safeguard our planet if we've no planet or peace of our own to work from." Violin didn't want power or strength. He didn't want to lead Namek. Yet if Porunga granted him the ability and insights to fulfill the role of guardian, then who is he to deny it?
"...We must be going. There is little time to waste if the Earthlings already have their hands on some of the Dragon Balls. Berith! Prepare to depart at once - and no final jabs at Vangreth lest I 'accidentally' forget money for your dinner." The Demon's expression soured for a but a moment before fixing itself, the man himself brushing hit suit clean of sand as he offered a wave towards the Alien. "I do so hope we'll meet again, Mr. Vangreth. I had so much fun chatting with you."

Hearing the vague yet even more suspicious part of why Violin was keeping his demon advisor around did tingle Vangreth's doubt once more. There had to be something wrong about this, both of them were fundamentally oppose to each other, or at least seemed like so, but sticked together nonetheless. The alien wondered for a moment if he should interfere, but decided against it, he had an agreement with Violin after all, and well, if the namekian wanted to see this relationship he had with his servant to the very end, then he would not prevent him from doing so.
Vangreth lightly smiled, as much as he could understand what Violin was feeling about calling for help, but feeling of actually being called to help someone was meant a lot for the alien. He would finally bring his strenght for a cause he had no direct connection to! Fighting the right fights as it where.
'' It will be my honor to fight for namekians who can't, alongside those who have chosen to make the same decision I did.''
He would simply reply. He knew it was not what Violin wanted to hear, or probably not at least, but it was just how he felt about this situation.
The alien nodded politely when they took their leave, exchanging one last stare with Berith, as the demon spoke with his snake tongue once more. Vangreth forced a smile.
'' Oh surely we will find a moment to further explain each other, my treat.''
And with that, he waved at the both of them and turned the other way, he was hungry. Oh well, time to head to the nearest city and grab a snack!
Wait, what do I do with the information about a secret passage to the demon realm...?
He suddently thought, looking at the closed passage with a concerned look.
'' Oh well... surely someone qualified exist to fix those.''
And with that, he took off into the sky.
