Ticoga had heard something coming up behind him. But with his tail currently wrapped around an assailant's neck, strangling them, he only had time to look back and see Courge appear between him and some kind of metal weapon that flashed with the sunlight. Courge had acted to protect Ticoga, though the Arcosian isn't sure why he would do that.
He had heard a tearing sound when Courge took down the failed assassin, and watches Courge as he begins shouting at the crowd of attackers. Already, several dozens of them had been brought low by Ticoga's own martial arts, and others by Courge's actions. But it had not escaped Ticoga's notice that Courge had deigned to watch from above, rather than engage the crowd.
Courge had been observing him. One only does this, if they are looking for a weakness to exploit. Openings in their defenses, and the like. So why then, would Courge suddenly decide to stop the assailant? It was an odd conundrum. Ticoga releases the Beppan held tightly in his tail, and turns to follow Courge silently.
The crimson skinned Arcosian glances at the tear in Courge's cloak over his shoulder, and can see a faint red stain. The wound looked to be superficial. But if untreated, even those kinds of wounds would become infected - which was equally as dangerous. Ticoga reaches into a satchel hanging off his left hip, and pulls out a small vial.
"Courge, pour this over that cut. Infections can be worse than simple stab wounds." Ticoga says, his tone more a command than a suggestion, implying that if Courge refused, Ticoga would insist until Courge accepted it. [/p]

Upon hearing Ticoga's order, he stopped in his tracks and turned around. Once more, he looked at his wound. Was it seriously that big of a deal? He wasn't an expert when it came to infections or medical terms, but something he knew was that his body wouldn't succumb to an infection. After all, this wasn't the first time he'd left a wound untreated, though he usually patched his injuries up with bandages, made by whatever material he'd come across. In the worst of cases, he'd buy the materials from a store- or steal them, depending on how accessible they were. On another note, he'd never thought of Ticoga as caring for anyone but himself, just like the majority of people were. He saved the other man's skin, which would make him owe him one. Maybe that was the reason why the being was commanding him to use the vial. He had his suspicions about the item. He'd never seen anything like it before in Beppa, but if Ticoga was saying the truth, then this vial was able to avoid something from infecting his body. Wouldn't it be better to drink it, if that was the case? It'd get rid of any infection that wasn't visible at first glance. "No, I shouldn't." The possibility of it harming him was enough to dismiss the thought.
The cloaked Saiyan looked up at the man's face, who seemed to be serious about it. In the end, he gave in and took the small vial, opening it and pouring its containings on his wound. For some reason, it started to burn him, though he didn't comment on it. Instead, he turned forwards again and continued to walk towards their destination. He was in a hurry to keep on with his day, so they needed to find this vessel and leave. ***The duo arrived before the auction house. He spared his temporary ally a glance and nodded. The question of whether this auction house was the one still remained, though the only way they'd figure out the answer is heading inside. So, he walked within the building and looked around. It was empty, as expected. The people auctioning must've been apart of their battle. "Look around. See if you can find it." He said, before starting to search himself. There were three different sections in this building, which meant they weren't going to find it right away. At first glance, there was a garage to the left; a stage with closed-off curtains up ahead; and a staff room to the right. He didn't give their options much thought, aside from realizing the task of taking and opening the vessel wouldn't be as easy as finding it. As expected, the staff room was locked. The obvious solution to this problem was to bust the door open- but he changed his course of action after sensing a person's energy right before the door. To breach the door would mean to harm them. He rathered keeping him alive to show him around the place. Thus, he shattered one of the room's windows and leapt through it to make it inside- and flawlessly, at that. He was an acrobat, which meant he was capable of even the most difficult and almost impossible physical feats "P-Please, don't ki-" Before he could finish his sentence, he lifted his arms above his head. "I won't kill you if you aid me. I'm looking for a vessel in this auction house. You wouldn't have a key to it, would you?" He kept a serious look about his features. The alien-like man must've wanted to lie, but knowing he wasn't in the position to, with an acceptable amount of hesitation, he handed over the key to the vessel. Sure enough, the thing was in here. Now, to whether Ticoga would've found it yet? That had yet to be revealed!

Ticoga watches Courge with a raised brow. It took a bit, but the cloaked being finally takes the tonic from Ticoga and pours the contents on his wound. The liquid would not heal the wound, but it would thoroughly clean the cut of any impurities to prevent infections from occurring. As the two make their way into the largest building, they of course find it empty. Ticoga shrugs when Courge suggests that they split up to search, having been about to suggest as much himself.
Ticoga heads down an open hallway that leads towards a staircase. He hears the sound of shattering glass, but pays it no mind and heads down the flight of stairs. After a few minutes, Ticoga finds himself standing upon an indoor balcony overlooking an under ground hanger. The hanger bay doors are open, looking out into a massive volcanic gulch. The hanger itself is chock full of starships of various sizes and makes, but one in particular catches his attention. Situated near the farthest wall by itself, is a massive vessel.
That circular shape, bubble-like view ports, the many landing legs giving the ship an insect like appearance.... It could only be the World Trade Fleet capital ship the intel he'd gathered had rumored to have found its way to Beppa. Few of these vessels still existed, and this one was just wasting away in some auction house's hanger, waiting for an undeserving bidder to lay claim. Smiling, Ticoga hops over the railing and flies over to the massive ship.
The boarding ramp had been lowered, but there didn't seem be any guards present. Originally, he had planned to legitimately go to the trouble of purchasing this mammoth of a star ship, but with how events progressed there really hadn't been an opportunity. To that end, Ticoga surmises he may as well just lay claim of the ship. He steps onto the boarding ramp, and suddenly begins moving without walking. Evidently, the ramp had an automatic escalator setting when weight was applied to it. Ticoga allows the ramp to bring him into the ship, and lights flick on in response.
Ticoga takes a stroll through the ship, taking note of a major issue - while the ship is fully intact, there is nothing in the armory; nothing in the cafeteria pantries; not even furniture to sit at computer terminals or even the flight control panel. Of course he would have to acquire these things. Well, since he wasn't going to be spending a fortune on buying the ship, he could use the funds to furnish and supply the vessel. Of course, this ship wouldn't be going anywhere without the ignition key.
Tut tutting to himself, Ticoga departs the ship and lets the ramp take him back to the ground below, and decides to wait for Courge to arrive. Courge

Just as Ticoga was finishing his stroll, he channeled his energy into the air to figure out where the being was located. Apparently, he was underground and static. He must've realized that he couldn't use the vessel without the key he'd obtained from the guard. Speaking of who, the alien-like man was terrified, failing to put his trust on him. After all, wasn't this the criminal who killed the other townspeople and broke into the auction house? His perspective was very flawed! Sure, he was a criminal, but that didn't mean he should've been treated differently than the rest. He was an inhabitant of this planet, too. Its resources were just as much his as theirs. "You're free to go." He was a man of his word. Plus, he wouldn't gain anything from holding the guard hostage. "R-really?" The man didn't believe him, despite giving him the permission to leave. "Unless you're asking me to kill you, sure." He wasn't interest in a back and forth conversation with the guard, so he kicked the room's door open and walked outside, heading through the building's western course. The guard brought out his blaster and pointed it at the cloaked man's back. He grit his teeth and frowned. Why did he kill all of those innocent people for just a vessel? The man couldn't understand the situation, or believe that he'd done it. He seemed reasonable, unless he was just acted like that with him. He continued pointing his blaster to the man's back, but... He couldn't fire. After all, he spared his life, so he could go back with his family. His life would return to how it usually was sooner than later... After giving it some thought, the guard turned left and ran outside of the building to get as far as he could. Of course, Courge was keeping a metaphoric eye on the alien-like man, prepared to break his blaster and knock him out. Thankfully, he wouldn't need to do any of it. Instead, he got to walk down the multitude of stairs to an indoor balcony. From there, he was able to watch over an underground hanger, in which Ticoga assumably was. He leapt over the railing and descended to the hanger, using his flight abiltity to soften his fall. He followed Ticoga's same trail to arrive to the furthest wall. Beside it was the vessel they'd come looking for, alongside the other man. To him, the vessel was too flashy. He rathered have something smaller, more affordable and easier to control. Nonetheless, it was a good find. "The keys to your vessel, your Highness." He said, tossing a simple-looking key to the being. Surprisingly, a smile was present on his face. While he was teasing the man, this vessel, as well as the happyness he displayed when he was referred to as a superior earlier made him believe Ticoga's goal was to ascend to being a monarch in the Saiyans' society. "By the way, I'll take those two cylinders you offered earlier. Then, our deal will be settled." Unlike before, he didn't seem to be hurried or unsettled by Ticoga.

Before too long, Ticoga hears foot falls, and turns to see Courge approaching. Ticoga smiles at the man as he approaches, but looks surprised when Courge tosses the activation key over to him. Ticoga catches the key, and gives Courge a quizzical look. Before Ticoga can correct Courge on the matter, the man asks for the payment Ticoga offered earlier.
"Yes, of course." Ticoga replies, reaching into his satchel and producing two of the World Trade Fleet currency cylinders. "As I said, these cylinders are worth not a zeni more or less than ten thousand apiece. Anyone who says otherwise is trying to swindle you."
Ticoga walks up to Courge and hands the cylinders over with an appreciative smile.
"I am not nobility, however. I cannot have people calling me anything but what I am." Ticoga tells Courge, his voice becoming serious. "I am an asset; a tool to be used and disposed of once my usefulness has expired. Such was my worth with the Fleet, so too is my worth to the Kingdom. I am a slave, nothing more. Though, I am flattered that my outward appearance could suggest my being more than I am. Thank you for that."
With that shocking response, Ticoga clasps his hands behind his back and steps a few feet away from Courge. He stops and half turns back to the man.
"You have a respectable amount of strength - I can see your potential taking you far." Ticoga compliments Courge with a smile. "Though I cannot presume to speak on behalf of Her Highness, Queen Kayen, I should be remiss to not extend more than a payment. Would you possibly be interested in joining the Saiyan Kingdom? Warriors should not be left to rot on worlds like this, nor be left to live in such meager conditions. You would be treated well, I can assure you that much."
Ticoga watches Courge carefully, waiting patiently for the man to consider the offer. Courge

Upon receiving his payment, Courge prepared himself to leave. Naturally, he was still worried about the destiny that would befall his people. If he didn't make it out of there, maybe it'd be too late for him. While their interaction had been nothing but beneficial to him, it'd come to the point where he had to choose between his life and their conversation. Their deal was over. He didn't have any other reason to stay one more minute on this planet. Despite his reasons to leave immediately... he didn't. Instead, the cloaked individual stood there with both of the cylinders in his right hand. He listened to Ticoga's thoughts on what were mere teases. He found a deeper meaning in them. and... It wasn't that bad hearing what he had to say. In the end, he was thanked- which gave him enough of a reason not to speak up and ruin the moment. "I believe that even a slave can become a leader."
He intended to motivate his comrade to aspire for greater heights. After fighting side by side with him, he came to figure out about the other man's strength. His power was amazing, and he wasn't even using his full power. Sure, power wasn't the only thing that mattered, but he believed it'd help him to get wherever he wanted to, as an unfailable tool unlike none other. With that, he turned around and rose to the air- but waited to hear the being out. The cloaked Saiyan considered the offer. What would his life become, assuming he joined the Saiyan Kingdom? His living conditions would improve significantly and would become much stronger in a shorter time. He'd get to meet many other powerful fellows with similar or different stories to share than Ticoga. He would even get to meet the Queen and be able to ask her about her goal. Though, to accept the offer would be to carry even more of a burden.over his shoulders. He'd be forced to see his people be massacred, as opposed to fleeing and telling their story. At least then they'd be remembered for what they truly were. "As much as I appreciate the offer, I'll have to decline. I'm no warrior and I'm sure no slave. I'll keep living on my own, but just like you said, I aspire for better conditions. It won't be long till I leave Beppa." He said, turning his head around just enough to spare the man a last glance. It would be long since they'd meet again, but he was certain they would. It was simply a matter of time. Without wasting any more time, he lit his body in a dark flame, boosting his speed as he made his way to the balcony and up the multitude of stairs. Before long, Ticoga would notice the man was far beyond his reach.

Ticoga listens to the few words Courge has to offer. Truly, if he wielded such strength despite not considering himself a warrior, then his potential was great indeed. But whether that potential would be used as an ally in the future, or to stand in Ticoga's way was yet to be seen. The crimson-skinned Arcosian offers Courge a nod of acknowledgement when he glances back at Ticoga, and says nothing more.
Ticoga watches Courge leave, a hint of a grin on his face. This was not to be the last time he met this being, of that Ticoga is certain. He looks down at the key Courge had thrown to him, and then turns to look at the massive starship he had just secured for himself.
"Even a slave can become a leader, can they..?" Ticoga mutters wistfully.* If this is true, then this ship would be the first sign of Ticoga's eventual emancipation. One day, he would no longer be beholden to the yoke of another. Courge seemed determined to live as he saw fit, rather than serve at the heels of others. "Admirable, Courge. One day, I should like to see what your freedom has brought you."
He had spoken to no one in particular, just voicing thoughts out loud. After all, there was no one to speak to. The Arcosian steps onto the escalator of the boarding ramp, and patiently waits until he was back inside the vessel. Making his way to the control room, Ticoga keys in the ignition, and presses the switch. The vessel groans to life, the interior lighting becoming brighter.
Ticoga was no pilot, but fortunately, these ships seldom required more than the ability to put in coordinates. He did, however, have to manually bring the ship out of the hanger, but there was more than enough space for him to do so. Ticoga sets the coordinates to land the ship in the wastes just outside Suplex City's outer border. He would need to hire a crew, purchase supplies, and finally figure out his next destination.
Freedom was closer now than ever.
