APPEARANCE: Onih is a black alien creature covered in a tough rock-like exoskeleton. He possesses jagged rock-like spikes along various parts of his body and a long whip-like tail.
BACKGROUND: Onih is the last member of an extinct race of aliens that hailed from the planet Vob. Vob was a desolate world with a harsh environment, thus the Vaboon’s evolved to live in this world. Similar to Saiyans, they evolved the ability to grow stronger after near-death experiences, as well as developing resistance to temperature and pressure extremes to the point they could even survive in the vacuum of space; not that they had much reason to do the latter. Due to their tribal and barbaric nature, the Voboon homeworld never developed space-faring technology. Furthermore, the planet itself was so lacking in resources that no space pirates or conquerors ever bothered to invade it.
The vast majority of Vaboons were content with a simple existence of basic survival and tribalistic trappings. But a small minority thought the Vaboons could be more. One such Vaboon was Onih's father.
His father held an interest in science, and through study and self-learning became what would pass on Vob as a competent scientist. He believed the Vaboons should enter the space age, learn from more technologically advanced species, and extend their homeworld into a galactic empire. While some agreed with Onih's father, most staunch traditionalists opposed him and sought to remain on Vob and live the way they always had. The conflict began to increase when the traditionalists began uniting under a powerful chieftain who sought to not only remain on Vob, but to hunt down and kill all who engaged in scientific pursuits--citing it as dangerous sorcery that threatened to destroy Vob itself.
It wasn't long after full-scale Civil War broke out on Vob. Though the fighting was initially close, a few definite victories of the chieftain's forces began placing a heavy burden on Onih's father; he decided if they were going to win the war they'd need to rely on their smarts and technology. As the war raged on Onih's father disappeared from the field to begin secretly working on a secret weapon he believed would not only turn the tides of the war, but prove once and for all that his belief in science was superior to the brute force of the chieftain.
He constructed an android capable of not only matching the chieftain in power, but augmenting its own strength the more it sustained damage. The android proved to be a powerful force, and began turning the tide of the war near singlehandedly. However, the android proved to be too well constructed, and soon it began to think and feel for itself. Judging itself to be the most powerful being on Vob, the android decided to elect itself king and kill or enslave all who opposed it. A temporary truce was struck as the tech-savvy Vaboons and the chieftain's forces united to defeat their deadly new foe. The savage battles were devastating to the already unstable planet of Vob, and Onih's father soon learned that Vob's inner-core had been destabilized by the tremendous energy being unleashed everyday. Judging himself a failure who had doomed his own race to destruction, Onih's father constructed a crude spaceship and rocketed him into space moments before the planet's destruction. Onih watched helplessly as his homeworld exploded before his eyes.
Onih went into hibernation and drifted aimlessly in space for a number of years, until a small band of pilots located the shuttle, hoping to rob its occupants. Instead they found a sleeping Onih and judging him to be powerful yet but a child, forcefully recruited them into their ranks. Onih fought alongside the space pirates for a number of years, but soon began to see their exploits as pointless an trivial. He wanted more out life, and so once he deemed himself strong enough he killed the pirate's leader before the crew's eyes and took over.
But this too proved fruitless for Onih, as he still felt as though something was missing in his life--but he couldn't articulate what. When a new conflict broke out between the Saiyans and Acrosians, Onih finally gleamed what he might want out of life.
For centuries now the universe had been embattled in petty conflicts and pointless squabbles. But perhaps there was a deeper meaning to existence, a deeper meaning within the inherent chaos of life. After eliminating his "inferior" comrades, Onih set off to explore the universe in hopes of arriving at some universal truth, engaging in studies of both the arcane and scientific in nature. His goal was not one of simple galactic domination--but to learn the secrets of the universe itself--and have everyone bow to the greatest life-form in existence. The ultimate nihilistic being who seeks to not be a victim of chaos, but to control it.
TECHNIQUES:
OFFENSIVE/DEFENSIVE TECHNIQUES:
Malignant Slice[A1]: Onih channels Ki into his hand and swipes his claws forward, unleashing a beam of Ki towards the target.
SUPPORT TECHNIQUES:
Defense Mechanism[SU1]: As a Vaboon, Onih has developed a unique defense mechanism that acts similar to a Solar Flare--emitting intense light from his body to blind opponents and attackers.
UTILITY TECHNIQUES:
Appendage Growth[UT1]: As a Vaboon, Onih is capable of growing two additional clawed appendages that emerge from his back.
ALIEN TRAITS:
FROM THE GRAVE: Much like saiyans, you sure can take a beating. When you recover from a near-death experience, you gain a boost to your Power Level.
DURABILITY: Your character is hardened and strong enough to survive in the void of space. Tough as nails, you can reduce the damage of a taken attack by 33% once per thread.
WEAKPOINT (Top Portion Of The Head): Attacking a weaker body part results in your character being paralyzed and unable to fight, or even taken down in one blow. This can be trained away with the use of a Technique Slot at 30,000 PL.
