APPEARANCE: Green humanoids which take characteristics from both plants and mollusks. They have three fingers and a thumb upon each hand, sharp pointed ears, and two antennae on their brows. Lacking in hair, their skin is patterned in the abdomen and limbs with soft plastrons that range in hues from pink to peach. Many of the Namekians look very much the same, as they are all mere subtle variations of each other since they reproduce asexually.
HISTORY: Thousands of years ago, the Namekians were controlled by the hidden Mazoku Clan, exporting evil throughout the North Galaxy. After a devastating shift in their planetary climate, their population sank dramatically and the tumultuous rule of the Mazoku Clan was replaced by the wise benevolence of the resurgent Dragon Clan. They have long-since recovered and reformed into a benign species of peace and cooperation. Well-known among the sentient species, they have been trading with others for millenia. A society founded in technical achievement, disciplined egalitarianism, and profound spiritualism has managed to resist falling under the sway of either the Arcosian Empire or the growing might of the Saiyans, although this independence is not secure. After a long time of peace, the winds of change once again blow through the Ajissa trees, and who can say what will be the fate of the fabled Namekians?
Depending on your clan, Namekians have access to various special abilities that are not available to other species.
- Warrior Clan members are trained in the art of combat from birth. They have a +x1 to all transformations.
- Dragon Clansman gain access to the "Mystic" Signature Technique Branch
- Mazoku Clansmen start off with a 5,000 PL Minion, free of charge. In addition, Namekian Minions that Mazoku purchase (including your free one) gain +x1 to all forms and a weakened (50%) regeneration.
Namekians can regenerate wounds and even lost limbs at the cost of some energy. However, they cannot regenerate brain tissue or from decapitation, and more likely than not a powerful attack will still kill you. A Namekian can regenerate their bodies to restore themselves to health, limbs bursting forward from an amputated stub or gaping wounds suddenly healing. Mechanically, this heals you equivalent to 100% of your Power Level once per thread.
Namekians can choose to either permanently fuse with another Namekian player to gain power, or fission into two Namekians to produce an offspring. Fusion works as follows: 50% of the PL of the fuser goes into the recipient body, along with all of their techniques.*
In Fission, a new Namekian is created from the old, taking along with it half of the PL and a duplicate of all techniques. You can choose to make this fission a minion, or give control of the fission to another player. Regardless of which you choose, if one of the two halves dies, the other perishes as well.
You can also pursue fission through non-mechanical means, forgoing the PL splitting and technique duplication for flavor alone.
Both versions of Fission can also apply to Minions. In the case of mechanical fission, the effects are identical: 50% of your current PL is sent to the minion, alongside all currently known techniques. This style of fission removes the cost of purchasing a minion.**
**Upon reaching the Super Mondo-Cool Malus, gains from fusion will be reduced to 25%. Upon reaching the fifth tier of the Malus, gains will deteriorate to a further 10%.
**If you have purchased a minion with the intent to use this mechanic, please message a Staff Member so they may refund the cost of purchase. Alternatively, upon approval of a Minion Application, if no minion is currently present in your inventory, you will be gifted a minion for no additional cost.
