Korla’s experience with the afterlife was very much NOT the standard, she had spent a bit of time in the seemingly endless line growing closer and closer to some large building next to what seemed to be some sort of skyport? Korla had gotten quite close to the building before meeting one of the Ogres who helped keep things organized, during a lull in the line movement she talked to them and learned a bit more about what was going on. And became… nervous She liked to think she was a mostly good person but the idea of having her lifes actions judged and her soul sentenced worried her, she wasn’t quite sure she was ready for the answer and she’d asked if it were possible to hop out of line for a bit, the Ogres had been iffy but said that as she had her body she technically COULD with no real risk. She’d just need to join back further back in the line. And so Korla broke off to hang out with the Ogres for a bit, at first it had been just to give herself a chance to calm down over the whole judgement thing but more and more time passed and Korla kept putting her own judgment off in favor of hanging out with the Ogres and just… not being judged. She’d made a few friends among the Ogres by helping to keep some of the more rowdy souls in line and spent a lot of her time practicing her abilities, her fight with Mumbo had been quite eye opening as to what she was capable of, and her meeting with Typha when she had first ‘awoken’ had revealed she could even take on her ‘normal’ form to appear like a true Tuffle. She hadn’t quite figured out how to use her full strength in that form yet but it was still rather pleasant to be able to feel like a normal Tuffle again every now and then. Today she was relaxing with a few of the line minders as it was a slow day, Goro however was giving her an odd look “Hey… Korla… you ok?” Korla raised an eyebrow at him but just a moment before she was about to ask what he meant she began to feel… strange “er… I… something feels off actually” “Your halo is.. Its blinking?” Goro sounded confused and a bit nervous which only served to make Korla nervous. Suddenly Korla was hit by a wave of sensations she had not felt in months, hunger, thirst, a need to breath. “I’m… alive??” Korla managed as she shook herself off and then promptly vanished. A dazed Korla stumbled as she found herself deposited somewhere completely unfamiliar, gone were the peaceful clouds and the endless line of souls and instead she stood before… a castle?? Also guards… quite a few and several pointing weapons at her. “Uhhh Hello??” Korla didn’t really know what to DO, she was currently in her ‘Tuffle’ form and while the weapons pointed at her didn’t look too impressive she coulden’t be certain they would be entirely ineffective on her, but trying to transform might be seen as a hostile act.

SECOND CHANCES
CARRO's PL: 100 || TIANUM'S PL: 7,000 || LEO: 200,000 (NOT YET PRESENT)
It was official. This was the most insane hallucination Carro had been subject to yet. "Carro, I told you, you're not dreaming," A clawed hand was placed on his no-longer-metallic shoulder as Tianum laughed nervously. Carro's posture was slouched with a coffee cup in his hands- the seventh he'd downed in the span of a few minutes. "...I know you, uh, just got your stomach back, but I don't think drinking that much already is healthy--"
"Tianum I have literally eaten nothing in the span of eight months, let me have this." The president's slurred tone responded. Even though part of him was expecting to be booted back up from sleep mode any second now and see those horrible metal claws he gave himself, either way he was intent to enjoy his returned senses.
Everything still felt overwhelming. He was exceptionally clumsy with his hand-eye coordination from going from three fingers to five again, and breathing was something he had to make a conscious effort to do. Sometimes even walking made him wobbly, with his center of balance completely shifted between his much heavier metal body and his frail human one. He'd already accidentally stepped on his own limply hanging tail once. It felt like all of his other senses had been turned up to an eleven in comparison to the lacking abilities of his robotic state, too. The birds chirping outside sounded so loud to him, and everything was so much brighter to his eyes. The fact that he could even blink and feel his mouth move was weird, or even having hair to run his hand through in stress again. Though it was embarrassing that he had to be helped with even some simple tasks by his Doragon friend due to his awkward readjustment, Carro really hoped this wasn't a dream.
But even if this wasn't a sick hallucination to give him a spark of hope to take away later, he was left with many questions. LEO had already bolted off in search of either Chime or Oboe in a rush. Her own parental worry for the former aside, the question of just what wish Shenron granted remained. What of Namek and its people? Was there trouble during the wish? Did anyone get hurt?!... For once, Carro pushed those worries aside for now in favor of savoring the first cups of coffee he'd tasted in nearly a year.
Tianum herself had been overjoyed to see her friend back to normal- he certainly deserved to be revived after all of his hard work and suffering. After the poor saiyan had cried out all the tears he'd been holding in as a machine, she'd already started to send the news to the rest of his friends and family. Today was great, and nothing could ruin it.
...Except maybe the alarms of the guard androids outside blaring in response to an intruder.
"Uhhhh..." Tianum turned to Carro. He didn't notice, it seemed. Not yet at least. "I'll, uh, be right back. Don't worry about a thing!" "Okayyy???"
Today was the one day Tianum would not budge on when it came to letting her friend take a break. Outside, a small battalion of Plexbit drones had already surrounded the sudden intruder, turrets drawn and beady eyes locked and unblinking as they beeped to one another. "Alright, what in the name of the Kais is going on here?" Tianum questioned with a growl as she approached. Two of the spiderlike Plexbits glanced at each other. They seemed to shrug before beeping something in response. "Wh-- appeared out of thin air? How??" The robots nodded, but kept their sights locked onto the potential threat. She glanced up to the tiny human(?) questioningly.
"Hoooo boy, alright," Carro's assistant rubbed her temples with a deep sigh. "Look, I'm not sure why you're here, but if its something regarding our President then you'll need an appointment," Tianum pointed back to a nearby sign beside the doors to King's Castle explaining such. The fact that they had to put up a sign since so many people never did was saddening. "President Hofferson is on break today, and that's that."

Korla was debating the best way to handle the situation, she WAS just dealing with machines so perhaps transforming and wiping them out might not be a terrible plan? They didnt SEEM sapient, maybe if she just got herself enough of a window to act she could activate her ring and go… somewhere… she didn’t actually know how effective it could be while she was entirely unfamiliar with her surroundings. But at minimum she knew it could get her high in the sky where she could just project her jets and take off… Just as Korla was about to make a decision on what to do finally someone who could do more than order her to stand down popped up, whatever this person was it was not a species Korla was familiar with, which made her a bit nervous that she might have somehow revived on some far flung planet that might not even have space travel. “I dont know why I’m here either, I was.. Er… dead… until just a bit ago” Korla began to explain as the woman informed her that the local ruler, their President, was someone who only met with others by appointment, which was as far as Korla was concerned, quite reasonable, she hadn’t actually intended on intruding on them. But then the woman clarified that President HOFFERSON was on break. Korla blinked a few times “Hofferson? As in Carro Hofferson? This.. wait this is earth?” Korla looked back at the robots and realized now that they WERE rather familiar looking, she had seen Carro use a bot similar to the spidery ones back on Namek “We’ve er...we've met before actually! My name is Korla, we met on Namek” Korla wished she could say they were friends but that was probably far too generous of a description. “He wouldn't happen to know how I am alive again would he?” This being Earth was… good, insanely good actually. Earth had an impressively high standard of technology, given a bit of time it should be quite easy for Korla to cobble together a scouter that could tune into the frequencies used by Iyokan and Duran safely.

CARRO's PL: 100 || TIANUM'S PL: 7,000 || LEO: 200,000 (NOT YET PRESENT)
".....Oh." Realization struck Tianum like a ton of bricks. The woman claimed to have been brought back from the dead, lining up with Carro's earlier revival. The mention of Namek made her grimace as she began to put the puzzle pieces together. "Ohhhhh, I... I see. My, uh... condolences." This suddenly became ten times more somber and awkward. The doragon scratched her head and looked astray. The surrounding Plexbits seemed to be getting bored- two were playfully jousting with their turrets instead of focusing on the 'potential threat.' At the mention of Korla's alleged connection to Carro, Tianum paused for a few moments in thought. "...She's not a danger to us, you're all dismissed." She waved off the robots, who beeped in content as they scampered off back to their posts.
Tianum sighed, weighing her options. The mere knowledge of the artifacts that were undoubtedly responsible for both Korla and Carro's resurrections was not something that she felt comfortable disclosing. If it got to the wrong ears in a terrible game of telephone yet again... She didn't want to lose her friend again. "Carro and I are both aware of how your life was likely restored. But it's classified information I can't go telling anyone, lest it reach the wrong ears and Earth is put in apocalyptic danger yet again..." She narrowed her eyes slightly. Though Tianum bore no ill will or suspected that the Tuffle had malicious intent, the Dragon Balls were something she and Carro rarely even told their close friends about, let alone this apparent acquaintance of Carro's.
"As I said before, Carro's on break. He's been through some stressful circumstances recently, and Kais know he deserves to not be worrying for at least a few minutes." Tianum rolled her eyes at the thought of her workaholic boss. She couldn't think of a single moment in the past few months where he wasn't worked up about something. Well, he was taking a rest now, and as long as he didn't come outside or something-
"Uhhhh..." Tianum turned. Lo and behold, now standing right behind her was the President of Earth himself, back slouched and eyes confusedly locked onto the unfolding scene. Carro only wore a navy blue tank top that seemed to be a size too big, and a pair of baggy sweatpants with a few coffee stains on them. The trailing ends of a few scars spanning from some point under his shirt were visible on his neck, right shoulder, and arm that weren't there last time he'd met with Korla. Carro couldn't help but to get concerned about how his friend had rushed off, and so here he was now.
He blinked, looking the Tuffle up and down. She looked oddly familiar, but not in an entirely good way. He felt an instinctive chill rush down his spine. "Do I know you...?" The Korla that Carro had encountered on Namek was much taller, to start with the differences that were throwing him off. Tianum felt a faint pang of worry in response to Carro not recognizing Korla despite the Tuffle's claims of knowing him... But she stayed silent, deciding it best to let the other shrimpy-sized "human" explain herself.

Korla relaxed a bit once the woman called off the machines, in her transformed state they woulden’t have posed a risk but now knowing they were made by Carro it was entirely credible that they might have been able to hit her before she could return to her full strength which would have been QUITE bad. “It’s uh, fine? I wish the circumstances had been better but the Afterlife is… pleasant I suppose” Even if she had not actually experienced its totality. Korla processed what the woman had to say, the only thing that even seemed feasible was the Dragon Balls, but did they even exist with Namek’s destruction? Oboe was still alive so perhaps… Korla simply gave a nod to the woman's effort to keep things classified, if that was what Carro and his people wanted then she would not ask more until they were in a less potentially public setting. “Oh, I hope he’s alright” Korla frowned at hearing of the stress that Carro had apparently been through recently, she hadn’t gotten much news about Earths goings on from the Ogres but at the very least there didn’t seem to be any major cataclysms that struck the planet, no major influx of Earthling souls into ‘The Line’ Korla was a bit nervous as they approached and was surprised to see Carro’s current state, he had a particularly nasty looking scar visible in spite of his oversized shirt, it took her a few moments to process WHY Carro didn’t recognize her until she realized that he was only used to her… ‘evolved’ state, even having seen most of her life Carro would have seen it from HER perspective. With Korla not being particularly vain presumably Carro had gotten little in the way of glimpses at Korla looking in a mirror. “Hey Carro, I would change back but the power surge that would come with it might agitate your guards. If you imagine me with a more white complexion and quite a bit taller you might have a better time recognizing me. I’m Korla” she gave a nervous smile not quite sure how well Carro would respond to her presence. They had left off on certainly BETTER terms than their first meeting. But it was a bit hard to make things WORSE after that.

CARRO's PL: 100 || TIANUM'S PL: 7,000 || LEO: 200,000 (NOT YET PRESENT)
After Tianum and Korla's brief exchange and Carro's entry, the tired saiyan remained silent for a few moments as he seemed to mull things over, before recognition clicked with the Tuffle's name. "Oh right, I remember now, you tried to brainwash me that one time." Carro took a sip from his coffee, speaking of the incident plainly and casually as if it was just as uninteresting of a topic as the weather. Tianum, on the other hand, froze up at Carro's bluntness. "...I-I'm sorry- WHAT?!?"
"Yeup," Carro shrugged. "When were you planning on telling me THIS?!" The Doragon shouted in alarm, though Carro still remained comparably relaxed. "I've had way worse, y'know, and I'm fiiine." He returned a subtle glare to his coworker, posture still slumped due to his lingering fatigue and imbalance. "Besides, that was months ago, and it sure didn't work. We're mostly cool now, was 'jus a misunderstanding." Though LEO was still not as keen to forgive, for Carro it was just water under the bridge now. Tianum glanced between the President and the Tuffle in horror.
"Anywaaays." Carro returned his attention to Korla. As soon as Carro wasn't looking Tianum's way, though, the Doragon shot a quick glare to Korla as a silent threat, 'hurt him again and you'll be hurting too,' she wanted to say. "What brings you here?" Still lacking context, Carro spoke like it was just another Tuesday in spite of even his own prior circumstances. "She said she'd been revived. From the dead." With his friend's words, which she took extra effort in trying to hide her newfound distaste for the Tuffle in, Carro promptly choked on his coffee for a moment. "I'm sorry WHAT?!" Now it was his turn to be surprised.
A whole new splurge of questions entered his mind. How did she even die?!... Maybe it was Namek's destruction? She was on Namek last they met. But if that was the case, how the hell did Chime and Oboe word a single wish that would revive both of them?! Just how did those damned dragons work? Carro rubbed the bridge of his nose, already feeling a mirage coming as a few beads of nervous sweat pooled on his forehead. "Sweet mother of Kais above, I had no idea..." His own encounter with death made him much more sensitive and empathetic to the subject, no matter the victim or the details. "Uhm. Well. Yeesh. Sorry about, er, that, I uh, guess..." He awkwardly stuttered, unsure of what to say exactly. The awkward silence hurt so much as he stood between a fellow former corpse and a dragon lady glaring with the sharpest daggers he could imagine.
"So!" Carro cut in again. "Iiiis there anything we can do to help you, in light of-- y'know-- oooor...?" Carro felt obligated to do something, at least.

Korla visibly cringed at the way Carro casually mentioned their initial meeting. At first she thought perhaps he might still be angry with her and yet… in the wake of what he said and what followed it seemed almost as if he did not care at all, as if it did not matter? It was VERY strange to Korla to hear Carro describe the event as ‘fine’ The dragon-woman however DEFINITELY did not hold it in the ‘this is fine’ regard that Carro did which was… well… reasonable. Korla did her best to avoid eye contact not wanting to meet the woman's glare mostly to avoid a reflexive attempt to ‘fight back’ with one of her own, she had entirely been in the wrong. “I ah.. Yeah I was killed fighting the… Stargoons? I believe that was the name, I don't actually remember HOW I died, I faced their apparent leader a Majin named Mumbo and he seemed willing to some degree to let me live? But the next thing I knew I was in Otherworld. With Namek gone I assumed it likely that I would remain dead since the Dragon Balls were gone. But I er… am not anymore? I don't actually know how I came back, my arrival here was entirely unexpected. I uh… don't know what to do to be honest. I'd like to contact my friends but their scouters are based on old Tuffle tech, heavily encrypted probably even MORE so now that Iyokan has access to more modern tech. I don't really have anywhere to go until I figure out how to find them. I had pretty much resigned myself to aiding the Ogres for a long while so this… has changed a lot”

CARRO's PL: 100 || TIANUM'S PL: 7,000 || LEO: 200,000 (NOT YET PRESENT)
Carro's face twisted with a mixture of disgust and guilt at the mention of the Stargoons. He'd known who destroyed Namek for a long time, but it never stopped stinging any less than the day he found out. However, he might as well have forgotten the mention of the goons when Korla uttered two cursed words that had brought him nothing but pain and agony for the past eight months. He visibly tensed and his skin almost seemed to shift a few shades paler. "M-maaaaybe don't say Dragon Balls aloud while we're out in public-ish..." Two eavesdropping Plexbits skittered away as Carro spoke in a quieter tone. Tianum tightened her grip on Carro's shoulder- a small, yet grounding comfort as memories flashed through his head.
As for her current plans, Korla had none. Carro furrowed his brows in concern. Of course reuniting Korla with her friends was a first priority- he could only imagine her cyborg friend's grief... "If you're willing to help, I'm sure I can make something that could help contact them in time!" Carro reassured. With his tech knowledge and resources and Korla's understanding of her species and their technology, surely it was only a matter of time. "Though, uh... I-I don't think your friends like me very much..." Carro meekly scratched behind his head, his saiyan tail flicking behind him for emphasis. Though his first encounter with Duran and Korla was old news, it was something he would prefer not to repeat.
"As for where to go, uh..." Carro pondered to himself. He hadn't the heart to just let his fellow vertically-challenged acquaintance not have a roof over her head. "There's some camps of Namekian refugees to the North, but I hear they're getting pretty crowded." Even more so if Namek's populace was restored too... "If you really don't have anywhere to go, uh... Well, there's a lot of guest rooms I don't use here," The President pointed back to King's Castle. "What?!" Tianum spoke in shocked concern. "C-Carro, are you sure...?" He was going to let the same person who he so casually said tried to brainwash him live with him? "Tianum, it'll be fine. I mean it this time." He turned with a stern glare, but spoke with genuine confidence and reassurance.
"Besides, it's the least I can do to make up for not being there on Namek when..." Tianum furrowed her brow. Carro was still beating himself up over that. She sighed in defeat. "Well, if your 'friend' is fine with it, then it's your house and your rules, not mine." She shot another cautionary glare. If she woke up one day to find her oldest friend as a mind-controlled thrall, there would be hell to pay.
Carro glanced back to his brown simian tail as it curled around his leg. He had other things he felt he needed to make up for, too. Still, it was up to the Tuffle if she accepted the President's offer or not.
