It was another rather dreary day in terms of the weather! Lots of pouring rain meant less customers usually for the majin and this much was true today too, but she didn't seem to mind too much. Instead of being constantly occupied with serving people she would instead have some free time to spend doing whatever she wanted! But... Well what did she want to even do with that free time? She couldn't really leave the store still as she was currently on shift regardless of the weather-- Fewer customers didn't mean no customers at all! Since it was just rain today too her cake dino's were home snug and safe and didn't need to be here with her today like they would be during thunderstorms, so there was no playing with them she could do during the meantime. Eventually she settled on practicing some recipes she was hoping to add to her cafe's menu once she got good enough at them. Also putting on some Baotube cooking videos during her practice-- Nothing got her cooking spirit baking better then watching others who enjoyed making food be passionate about their craft! One in particular had caught her eye recently, 'The Sauce with Zautt'! It featured a demon lad who was all sorts of creative with his videos which only made him that more entertaining and fun to watch! The pitter patter of the rain outside, practicing a recipe that filled the shop with delightful aroma alongside watching a fellow baker be passionate about their craft-- This day couldn't be better! |

As dreary and miserable of a day as it may have been in Central City what with the gratuitous amounts of rain, that didn’t stop a few people from making the best of it— or hell, even enjoying it! Tysco was one such individual, he had some spare time today after finishing a paper for his classes and uploading a new video for his BaoTube channel. Afterwards, he found himself positively aimless— what luck! That meant he was free to essentially do whatever he pleased.
All the way from West City, Tysco wandered, running into a friend here and there. Reaching the northern region, he encountered the rainstorm, and it was a simple matter to avoid the worst of it. He just created a magical hydrophobic film around himself as well as a winged umbrella that floated around him. Dancing his way into Central City, Tysco hopped around puddles and spun around gleefully. He also assisted anyone he came across that happened to be dealing with waterlogged drains or flooding, usually by providing magical solutions or materializing a simple tool or two that was missing from the assets that people needed.
Soon enough he had rounded the corner where a unique little café was situated across the road. It was vibrantly coloured and distinctly decorative, it had a sort of calming energy to it with it’s architecture alone. It had something about it that even cut through the rain and current (subjective) misery of the outdoors. This intrigued Tysco a great deal, and he wasn’t one to let curiosities slip by him, so that meant only one thing could be done!
He did what anyone else would do and swiftly glided across the road, cutting through the thin layer of water like a skipping stone until he reached the other side. Once he got under the veranda in front of the cafe, he dispelled both his funny umbrella and hydrophobic shield before making his way inside. “Dang that smells good~!” Tysco chirped, noting one fine aroma throughout the establishment. Making his way over to the front counter, Tysco gave the Majin behind it a big smile before perusing the baked goods display. Doughnuts, bagels, muffins and slices galore, they all had very unique designs, shapes and presentation too! “Yoooo!” Tysco found himself chuckling at some of the treats within the display. “These are really cool!” He looked over to the Majin with that ever present smile on his face. “Did you make these, or..?”

Once her shop was bursting with the smell of baking eggs as she'd settled on a particular dish to try out from memory, someone new would wander on into the store! Rather fittingly the young man quite reminded her of chickens too given his lovely feathers around his eyes among other things, what a wonderful little coincidence! The majin would give a warm smile and a wave to the demon as he entered, sounding off a gentle chime of her cafe's entrance door bell as he did so. "Why-- Thank ya~! Hope the weather out there wasn't too hard on ya!" She would practically sing back to the boy, always delighted to hear people enjoying her food whether it be by taste or smell! After all, it did mean she was doing a good job of her cooking.
Keeping an eye on what she was cooking she would still make time to also keep an eye on Tysco as he gazed over the baked good display by the front counter, the boy's reaction to seeing some of the good's made her smile grow even more so. "Yes indeedy my dear! And any not made by me are made by my wonderful employee's going off of my designs and recipes!" Pausing her video for the moment to be polite and show that her full attention was both on him and the eggs she was cooking up now, the majin would offer another smile as she approached the back of the bake display, "If you're interested in anything here hun, just lemme know! Or you can get something off of the menu of course~" She would place a pink finger atop a stack of menu's at the edge of the counter before gasping at a sudden realization...
First of all she hadn't introduced herself! Secondly, he was the demon from the video she had just been jiving with! A fellow lover of the cooking craft... "Oh golly gosh! Please forgive me for the late introduction! My name's Ezpectra Patrona! But you can just call me Patrona~ Sorry if this is out of the blue young man but I love your videos! I was watching one just now actually! It's wonderful to see other people passionate have fun with making foods!"

Tysco practically tap danced across the floor, a big positive vibe practically radiating off from him. “Oh, that lil’ sprinkle of rain? Nahh, easy peasy for me-sy” He chirped, conjuring a ball of hydrophobic material in his hand before dispelling it moments after. “Especially with the right magical know-how~!”
Smiling to the Majin, Tysco continued looking at the baked goods display, marvelling at even more of what was on offer between points of conversation. “Gotta say, they’re wild creative! Do you maybe do holiday themed baking? Because if this is what you and your lot get up to on the regular— hoooooowee am I excited for Halloween then!” Pondering for a moment, Tysco noted the offer to make something that was off the menu, it was kinda like how the Punchin’ Pancakes in West City did a specials week, where everything was a ‘custom’ order— and that was always fun!
While he was thinking it through, the Majin piped up once again, a lot more peppy than she was before all of a sudden. The reason for it, was honestly quite surprising to Tysco, sure his BaoTube channel was pretty popular, but he still didn’t expect this. As modest as ever, this lad. “Ahaha, no biggie, no biggie!” Tysco fluttered his frills, happy to have met someone who was likely of a similar mind in terms of food and cooking. “The Name’s Tysco. Tysco Zautt— er, obviously you must’ve known that already but— Just Tysco is fine, aheh...” He stopped himself from going on a tangent like he often would and chuckled, idly putting a hand on the back of his neck in a bashful manner. “Well, thats why I made the channel in the first place, to share that joy with others, maybe probably sorta hopefully surprise and inspire them too. Which vid were you watching, if I may ask?”
Thinking back on what he had in mind before, something clicked, and Tysco snapped his fingers following a realization. “So, hows about I see what you can do? Surprise me with something— I’d love to have the most unapologetically edgy looking caramel slice you can make~!”

The majin would laugh heartedly at Tysco's energy and more-so after the demon chirped at how the rain wasn't a bother for him, demonstrating through magic at how he went about handling it. "Ahah~! Of course! Magic sure is quite the helpful tool when you know how to use it-- Which it seems you sure do know how!"
Smiling warmly at the way Tysco marvelled and pointed out the creativity of her baked goodies, Patrona would place one hand against a cheek for a few moments-- Flattery was always nice of course but complimenting her work in particular hit the hardest for Patrona! "Why, yes indeedy I do young man! Holiday themed bakes are my most favourite of all to do actually especially around the end of year time, oh gosh- The themes to work with are just so lovely to work with!" It would seem the demon himself was excited to see what she did for Halloween in particular! "Oh Halloween? I plan to outdo myself this year! I love the decorate the place and dress up myself for holiday events too- I'd love to see you swing by on the day! It'll be full of spooky sweet surprises~!"
After she had recognized exactly who he was and pointed out such he would flutter those big ol' frills of his and this made the majin give off another bubbly giggle. "I do know but! I'd still like to thank you for being polite enough to still introduce yourself anyways Tysco! What a young gentleman you are!" She'd smile hearing he made his channel to share joy with others and potentially inspire them, what a young lightbulb he really seemed to be! "That's a wonderful reason to have started it for, please keep doing what you're doing! I'm sure there's plenty more out there who find joy from watching your videos as well" As for what video she was watching? "Oh! You're one on all things eggs at the moment! I put eggs into lots of my recipes but wanted to try out more ways to cook just them themselves as a dish! Putting it on certainly helps inspire!"
When things came back to what he wanted off menu the majin would smile sweetly hearing his idea for it. Caramel slice was a piece of cake no pun intended but the creative part of making it look like the theme requested was the harder but fun part. "Something that's a little sneak peak before Halloween huh? I can do that! Would you be alright with also giving the egg I have cooking a try to let me know if it's turned out alright? I would love to get the opinion of another food enthusiast!"
