One upside to having a cold, Derry thought to himself, is that it still technically counts as being sick despite being so minor. As a result, John made sure Derry didn't come in for work. John guessed that Derry needed a break anyway, as the Renegades have been using cryo-technology in an attempt to get Derry out of the picture. If it wasn't for her, then the Dirty Snakes could've been ended right then and there. With Derry gone, there's no stopping the Renegades from trickling into Dirty Snake territory. At that point, Derry would be all alone, once again, just like back in North City...
No, Derry had to enjoy this time off. The stress has been getting to him lately, and he needs a clear conscious if he wants to continue operating with Lucas and the others. Derry put some cold medicine in his mouth, took a swig of water, and went outside for a walk in the streets. His primary spot was going out to city square and see what could potentially happen there. Who knows, maybe a couple could be doing a photo shoot, or maybe a couple of children are playing around some of the statues, something, anything. He couldn't really use his phone since it broke during the incident with Clint, and both Lucas and Wallace were doing jobs of their own, so he was all by himself. Derry would like to see that saiyan again, but he doesn't have any way of contacting them either, and he doubted that they possessed a phone anyway.
Regardless, Derry finally arrives at the town square, and thankfully, it's rather populated right now. He takes a seat on one of the benches, and begins to relax and look around. Nothing is happening right now. There's just a large number of well dressed men and women, who are presumably heading to work. A few minutes pass, and still, nothing has actually happened. There haven't even been any pets, which at the very least would've caused a bit of excitement. Once an hour passes by, Derry has almost given up at this point. He now thought about going to one of the local restaurants. Oodon's Udon sounds nice, but it's a bit far away from town square. Perhaps he can settle with...
Who is Derry kidding? He isn't even hungry right now.
Is this how he's going to spend his day off? Just thinking about everything that's been happening recently? That would only make things worse at this point. The goal was to get his mind off of these things, and yet, he doesn't have anything to distract himself with. This is going to be one long day at this rate, and he'd rather be back at work at this point. At the very least, he could be taking on some other clients right now, unless...
