Thread PL: 28,050 There was still no answer from John's phone. For the past couple of days, Derry has been attempting to try to call his boss and tell him about the situation in both West and North City, but he hasn't answered any of his calls. Derry even went back to Central City to check out the Dirty Snakes hideout, but neither Lucas nor Wallace have heard anything from the boss. He hasn't shown up in the office ever since Derry was sent to North and West City, and no one knows where he is. On top of that, the Renegades have been awfully quiet recently, and the only times that the Dirty Snakes have encountered them have been in small skirmishes. This wasn't like John, just leaving the gang hanging like this. Something was off, but Derry and the rest of the gang didn't have a single lead. Well, there was one lead, and that's why Derry came back to North City.
Lucas, Wallace, and all of the others decided to remain back at the headquarters in Central. Each one received orders to remain at the HQ for further orders from John. Hopefully, he can get back to them. All of this wasted time could result in a resurgence in the Renegades, and that's the last thing that the Dirty Snakes need. Derry is the only gangster that's perfectly capable of taking on Renegades head on. The others can easily get shot or frozen alive, and the thought of his comrades potentially falling to those damn Renegades made Derry feel sick to his stomach. In fact, Derry hasn't been doing so well these past few days mentally. He's had constant headaches and has been far more paranoid, likely stemming from John's disappearance. Derry has also taken up some smoking in an attempt to lower his stress, but it felt as if it was only making things worse. And now he has to go back to that place once again.
It's now 9 at night, and the rain is almost deafening. Almost everyone has fallen back to their humble abodes, and those who haven't have been running to find some short of shelter from the horrific weather. The rain didn't really bother Derry that much, however. After all, his fire was strong enough to evaporate the water. Eventually, however, a raindrop landed on his lit cigarette, and it was immediately put out. In a minor act of frustration, Derry spit the dampened cigarette out of his mouth and stomped down on it the moment it landed on the cold, wet pavement. Derry soon began to wander into the same familiar alleyway that he once called home. He stops directly outside the now burnt down sight of Granny Arianna's Orphanage. There the previously upstanding shelter for abandoned children now laid, with several pieces of charred sticks strewn about all over the darkened stone floor. Whatever remained of the support structures was now unstable and appeared as if it could fall over at any moment. There used to be a second floor, but all that remained was a small portion of a staircase attached to a support.
This was it. This was where the key would take him. He tried to stay away for so long ever since acquiring the key from the Renegades here in North City. Derry thought he could simply go to West City and complete his report, but with everything that's been happening to the Dirty Snakes and John, he can't afford to wait. Now there was the matter of what the key went to exactly. Derry never recalled there being any sort of chest in the orphanage, nor any secret rooms. The only thing that came to mind was...

"Man, it so boring and cold up north." Yanwang walked a large coat covering his tiny frame. The rain was pouring and he didn't have somewhere to sleep. Yanwang wandered around Earth training and just having a good time. One of the disadvantages to that was when something like this happened he couldn't get any good sleep. How was he supposed to sleep when it was raining out and this loud too? He couldn't hear a thing. Yanwang was walking around town, most people were inside so there was not much to see. He was hoping to find a dumpster where he could go sleep in for the night. He could make himself a blanket and a light. It would work out well. Yanwang yawned as he walked passed the remains of Granny Ariana's Orphanage. He almost didn't notice the pink-haired fellow standing there.
Yanwang blinked a few times and turned out to look at the pink hair human just standing there in the rain. In the dead of night? What reason did a guy like him have to be standing in the rain? Maybe he was a really strong fighter. Yanwang rubbed his eyes. "Hmmm..I Can't really say." Yanwang really needed to learn how to sense ki. But for some reason, it just didn't come to him well. Maybe it was because his training was mostly focused on martial strength and magic. Ki control was something he really focused on. Yanwang pulled the large jacket over his head as he walked. "Hello, there sir." Yanwang waved with one hand while holding the jacket. "What are you doing out in the rain?" He tilted his head slightly trying to seem as friendly as possible.

Hearing a voice behind him, Derry quickly spins around and holds his palm up to the stranger. As soon as his palm begins to light up, Derry gets a good look at who exactly he's dealing with. It appears as if an ogre had approached him. This one also possessed red skin, albeit it's more light in comparison to those ogre goons from about a week ago. The ogre was certainly male judging from the physique and the voice, and was mostly covered in some sort of jacket. Unlike those goons from last week, it didn't look like he was wearing a suit underneath that jacket. Still, was this guy somehow related to those gangsters? Could it be that this ogre has been dispatched to "deal with him" ever since beating them up? Even though the ogre greeted him in a rather friendly manner, it could all be a front to lower his guard. Derry had to think carefully about his next move, or else there would be more on his plate than he can handle.
With his palm still on fire, Derry asks, "Who the hell are you?" while also moving closer towards the orphanage and stowing away the key. Another thing Derry had to keep in mind was the ogre's power, since if he was anywhere near as strong as the ogres from last week, a fight could always break out. Should the ogre find out what he's doing here, this could turn ugly really fast. Regardless of the danger, the Dirty Snakes are relying on this, and there's no way he's giving up on them. Derry began to further question the ogre, and asks, "What are you doing here of all places? If it's about last week, you can save it for later. I'm not in the mood for payback of any kind."

Yanwang blinked as the first words that came out of the guy's mouth were who hell he was? Yanwang frowned, this guy didn't seem that chipper. That was ok though, they were stuck in the rain. He imaged it was hard to stay happy with this type of weather. Yanwang kept his smile as he waited for the man to say something else and luckily he did. In fact, he asked him two questions. Well, Yanwang guessed it was two since one was what he was doing here and then he asked if he was here about last week. "Well, I was just walking around looking for a place to sleep of course." Yanwang gave a thumbs up. As for the second question that was a bit odd. "Well, I don't really know who you are and what your doing here. I don't even know your name. Why would I want to do something to you if I don't even know you are." Yanwang rubbed his chin. He wondered what this guy could have done that made him think that Yawnang of all people was going to hurt him. He was just a kid! "Yah I got no idea you'd think i'm a threat. I help people not hurt them." Yanwang crossed his arms over his chest. Maybe this guy would explain himself.

|Downfall| - Bamboo's PL: 180,000
Cities weren't so bad when you had your friends around!
At least, that's what Bamboo thought. She brought Stephan along for her adventure this time. She'd been exploring the caves around Mt. Frappe the past couple days- there was a lot of cool and weird stuff down there. She ate a whole bunch of weird plants and stuff, and she was pretty sure that she could make her eyeballs glow now. She'd need to show Mumbo and the other goons later; they'd probably think it was super cool.
Well, that wasn't the important part; the important part was that she and her massive pet bear had been up there for days, and they were looking to grab some familiar food. Rice, mostly, which Bamboo had gotten pretty passable at cooking. Talk about development!
Her plans were cut short, however, when the freezing rain started. She wasn't bothered much by the rain- Bamboo didn't have anything except her usual goon merchandise on -but it meant that there wasn't many people around for her to harass. Rice without property damage wasn't very fun at all.
While she wasn't bothered by the rain, Stephan was. He didn't really like being wet, and certainly not wet when it was so cold. Stephan continued to rub himself against Bamboo's leg, who responded with a curt pat on the head.
"Aww, you're cold out here, right?" She tapped her chin. "Yeah, staying out here is pretty boring when there's nobody around. I dunno where the rice shop is, either." She still didn't really know how to navigate the city all that well. But that wouldn't stop her from trying; at least, it wouldn't stop her from trying after this rain died down.
"Oh! I know!" Bamboo pointed towards an innocuous-looking building next to an alleyway. It wasn't a skyscraper or anything- just an establishment of average size. The place was dark- most of the employees had left already.
It was a good thing they did, too- because that building completely seized to exist in a matter of seconds.
With a raised hand, Bamboo blew the place to pieces, leaving nothing but smoldering rubble in it's place. It seemed the remains of the orphanage would gain a new friend- another burned-down building right next to it. Bamboo loved wanton destruction, but she did have a purpose for this one, at least.
She and Stephan strolled up to the smoldering remains and took a seat next to them, holding out their hands to warm themselves on the massive bonfire she'd just made. Bamboo let out a sigh. "Warm yourself up, buddy! When the people come out, we'll play fetch!"
Sniff. Sniff sniff. Bamboo's head whipped to the side, raising an eyebrow. "Oh! I didn't see you two there..." She looked towards her bear before shrugging. "You're pretty strong, little guy, but I'll need to beat you down later. I'm taking Stephan for a walk!" She shot them a thumbs up. "Wanna use my fire to wait out the rain? Once we're all done here, we should all brawl it out, right?" She motioned the two over. One was certainly more worth a fight then the other, but maybe the other could be... convinced, into giving her something worthwhile.

After listening to the ogre, Derry finally began to calm down. Still holding his palm towards the ogre, Derry responded, "If you're looking for a place to sleep, then you've certainly made a wrong turn. There's nothing left here that this place can offer, unless of course you don't mind sleeping under pieces of burnt down wood." It was a rather strange answer to his question. A bit more context soon followed, however, as it became clear that the ogre had no idea what Derry was talking about. As the ogre continued to speak, Derry lowered his palm and extinguished the flames in his hands, although water was still being evaporated on his hand. "Perhaps I was a bit too rude, then. I've had a bad run in with some ogres about a week ago. Sorry 'bout that."
Derry started to feel a slight amount of guilt for judging the ogre so quickly, but he knew deep down he couldn't afford to act so carefree considering what's on the line. "It wasn't my intention to demonize you," Derry replied back to the ogre's last comment, "Let's just say I've been a bit on edge recently." Then Derry came full circle, back to the ogre's original question: Why was he there? It's clear at this point that the ogre clearly wasn't associated from the ones from last week, but Derry wasn't so sure about where the ogre's morals lied. If he outs himself as a Dirty Snake, a gangster, then what would happen? He couldn't leak out that sort of information, but the ogre needed some sort of answer.
"Do you have a family?" Derry asked the ogre. "Doesn't have to be biological. Just people you consider family. If they're ever in danger, what would you do for them? Is there any sort of limit, or would you do anything to keep them safe. That's why I'm here." Hopefully, Derry thought, that would be enough to sate the ogre's curiosity. Who knows? Perhaps he could even lend a helping hand to find that place... that cellar door...
Suddenly, right next to the duo, the building blew up, and all of the concrete and steel came crumbling down. Dust shot directly into Derry's face, and he was temporarily blinded. Was this an ambush? Was the ogre actually lying? It didn't seem like it, considering the fact that the ogre didn't expect that explosion either. Derry got onto one knee in order to brace himself for anything else that would've been thrown at him, but nothing came. Once the dust settled, Derry cleared his eyes and surveyed the surrounding area. Sure enough, the building next door was completely eradicated, reduced to a pile of rubble. Derry also spotted the ogre nearby, but there were also two other figures in the distance.
Upon further inspection, one of those figures is neither human, nor ogre, nor anything humanoid, but a seemingly normal bear. A rather strange sight in the city, but what truly caught his eye was the other figure. This one was most certainly humanoid, but Derry didn't even know what it even was. Its skin tone closely resembled that of a human, and it even had hair similar to that of a human, not to mention the fact that it was clearly female. However, the horns and markings on her face clearly signify something almost otherworldly. At first, Derry was just confused by all of the information that was being processed inside of his head, but then he noticed something else. There was a fire right by her, a fire built from some of the remains of the previously destroyed building. It didn't take a genius to figure out who the true culprit was.
"The hell was with that stunt?!" Derry yelled at the woman. He didn't really care about the building being destroyed, damn it for all he cared. It was the fact that she decided that doing it right next to the remains of the orphanage was taking it too far. Once the woman acknowledged his and the ogre's presences, Derry promptly responded, "I'm not exactly in the mood right now, especially since I'm trying to take care of something over here! Who the hell are you, anyway?" First the ogre, and now this? If Derry delayed any longer, other guests may start showing up, especially since the destruction of the next door building has caused quite a ruckus.

Yanwang glanced around at Derrick as he made a good point that there was not much here for him to use to sleep in. Yanwang shook his head, "Well I mean we can find a trash can." Yanwang shrugged. But yah around here was just burned wood. Derrick also apologizes for being rude because he had a problem with the ogre's in the past. "Well, that is fine." Yanwang smiled He was unsure why Derrick had even run into ogres. Maybe this guy had something to do with ghosts? Yanwang could never be sure with all these humans. He noted he had been quite on edge. Then he asked if he had a family people he considered a family anyway? Yanwang rubbed his chin in thought. "Yah I guess I have a family. I don't talk to them that much because they live in the otherworld and I am here. There no dead it just like I live literally in the afterlife."
Yanwang was then shocked by an explosion of dust. Someone just blew something up. What the heck was going on. Yanwang turned around to face whatever caused all that damage. It was some green-haired lady. She had the stargoon stuff on. Guess that meant she was one of them or a fan? Either way, Yanwang was not a fan. Especially since they just blew up a building people could get hurt. Derrick didn't seem too happy either. He really wanted to know what was going on and to be fair Yanwang did too. The woman also seemed to be a little...odd. When she spoke, she seemed to know how strong he was and then suggested they just sit by the fire. "You just blew a building up. I can't let you do that. That means we gotta fight." Yanwang pointed at Bamboo. Maybe she'd back down if she knew that he was totally the strongest around. If she could sense his energy, she should totally know how outmatched she was.

"No, no, didn't you hear me? We gotta fight after the rain! It's no fun when you fight all wet. Besides, I don't wanna get into a big fight with Stephan around. He doesn't like big fights! Don't be a bad influence on him!"
A firm pout. Of course, her words of concern were entirely incongruent with her thoughtless actions, but such was the nature of the Green Stargoon. She looked between the two figures, eyebrows furrowed. Truth be told, she couldn't really answer why she chose to blow up the building- it was a simple whim, same as any other.
"Well, I blew up the building 'cause it was the evil thing to do, of course. Making a small fire in a barrel or something is kinda old-fashioned, and blowing up buildings is something we evil people do! Maybe goodie-goods like you wouldn't get it, but that's just how the Stargoons do things!" Oh yeah! He had another question, didn't he? "I'm the Green Stargoon! Bamboo! Didja hear about Namek blowing up? That was me! I did that! Impressive, right?" She didn't technically blow up Namek, but she was close enough to count, right?
With her introductory spiel over, Bamboo turned her attention back to the fire she'd created, humming to herself in satisfaction. Man! She loved being evil!
"If you are goodie-goods, then we can fight after the rain, like I said! That means we gotta wait, though!" She pointed a finger towards the pink-haired boy, spinning on her heel. "You said you were doing something here, right? Nobody's better than me at doing stuff, yknow?"
Fingerguns. "Howza about it? This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to have the Green Stargoon help you with some stuff!" Despite her earlier proclamations about how absolutely despicable she was, she seemed oddly enthusiastic about assisting the boy in his quest.
"Take it or leave it, but if you leave it, I'm gonna blast you later!"

Derry's fury against the stranger and her pet bear has been changed to confusion. She can't fight in the rain or else she'll get wet, and that her pet bear doesn't like fighting. The frown that Derry wore on his face disappeared as he raises his eyebrow and replies, "What... Why would you care about getting wet of all things. And what's this about being a bad influence for the bear? You just dropped a building.
The gangster kind of got an answer from the stranger, stating that she did it because it was evil and she's evil. The fact that she called Derry a goodie good of all things was particularly insulting. Derry doesn't go around murdering people left and right, but he was far from being an angel. Before he could respond, however, one fact about the stranger stood out to him: She was a Stargoon, specifically the Green Stargoon Bamboo. He didn't care too much about the whole Namek blowing up thing. After all, he's gotten an influx of namekian customers as a result, but the fact that he has at least some sort of connection to Bamboo. He asks, "Wait, you're a stargoon too? You know Amara?" Perhaps there was a way for Derry to avoid the fight if he could appeal to Bamboo. After all, both of them were stargoons, so being allies with one could help him get through this situation. "She saved my life a while back. 'Course, not intentionally, but she did."
After telling the red ogre next to Derry that she can fight once the rain is gone, Bamboo tells the gangster that she can help him out, for there is no better person suited at doing stuff. Derry pinches the bridge of his nose, and quickly replies, "You're looking to fight, yet you're offering to help me out here. You are... interesting, to say the least. Well, if it saves me from getting my ass blasted outta here, I suppose it couldn't hurt. At least, it shouldn't."
Derry didn't really concern himself over whether or not the now fallen building was filled or not, just that it collapsed pretty closely to the burnt down orphanage. He can overlook this error. The ogre, on the other hand, might not be so inclined to help. He certainly seems like the goody two-shoes type of guy himself, so he might need some more... convincing. Derry turns his attention to the ogre and asks, "Hey, I came here to retrieve something important to me here, so do ya think you can save this whole debate for later?"

Yanwang grumbled as Bamboo seemed to think she could stall a fight just because it was raining? She blew up a building! She could not just get away with that. Then again it was pretty cold. No, he could not let her get away with that? When asked about why she blew up a building, she just said she did it cause she was evil, proving even more that Yanwang had to beat her up! Yanwang cracked his neck. "No, see that is not ok. You can't do that." What was even worse was that she then began to talk to her pet bear who seemed to need somewhere to be warm, so she blew up another building! Yanwang stomped his foot. "Hey, I told you not to do that. This is just gonna make the butt-kicking you gonna get even worse.
As he was trying to pump himself up to fight, Derrick mentioned that he had met another one of the goons and they had helped him not die or something? Yanwang just made a mental note of the name. This Amara person was someone he may need to beat up in the future too. If she was a stargoon that meant she was going to cause a lot of trouble sooner or later. "Alright, I'm gonna get ready to do..." Yanwang looked down, how should he start this fight? Before he could think of a good way to do that, Derry asked him to help him get something. "Huh? Help you get something! I need to beat up the stargoon!" Then Yanwang realized if he wanted to be a good hero he should help people out. Yawnang grabbed his hair "RAGGGH!" His small brain could not handle making a good choice. Finally, though Yanwang just smashed his foot down breaking some of the ground under him "Opps." Yanwang calmed down and pointed at Bamboo. "You can't escape justice!" Great line, now he just needed to show her she could not as he leaped over to punch her square in the jaw.

|Downfall| - Bamboo's PL: 180,000
"Oh! You know Amara!? I know Amara too! Me and Amara go, like, way back. Any friend of Amara's is a friend of mine, friend!"
By 'way back,' she meant 'like a year or so, prolly.' Don't spoil her fun!
"And it's important to fight under the best conditions! What if you beat a sucker down, only for him to say, 'noooo, it doesn't count, there was rain in my eyes!' or something!? I think you've got a lot to learn about beating down shmucks." Bamboo stood from her position, giving her pet bear an overly-affectionate hug. "You think so too, right Stephan? Good bear! Yes you do, yes you do...~" A firm chin scratch, and the bear doubled over.
In the same instance, Bamboo also doubled over- but that's from the sucker punch that was delivered to her jaw!
Oh no! He was fired up, and ready to fight! Frankly, Bamboo didn't know how to deal with this kind of situation. Usually, she was the one fired up and ready to fight, and the other guy was the one who needed to talk their way out of the situation.
It turned out, however, that Bamboo had almost never been talked out of such a situation.
So... what did she do?
Fortunately, both combatants here did not have very large brains- small brains should think alike, right? Bamboo thought so, at least, though not in that exact phrasing. There was nobody better to talk down a fighting-crazed lunatic then a fighting-crazed lunatic. This one was a goodie-good, too! Mumbo had taught her all about how goodie-goods thought. She had this one in the bag.
"Oh no! You're punching me, even though my friend over there doesn't want you to...? I think you're stopping him from getting something super duper important to him! I didn't know you were a genuine baddie, just like me. Only a baddie would stop someone from getting something important to them!"
It was true- had Derry dropped that information before revealing his connection to Amara, Bamboo would've likely blasted whatever that 'thing' was. She had experience with being evil!
"And look how scared Stephan is! Only a baddie would make animals scared, too!" The bear didn't look any different, but hey, Bamboo knew him best, right?
She gave Derrick an exaggerated wink. She had the situation under control!

Clearly things were going to get a bit rough with these two around. It's strange too, considering the fact that both of them seemed to be pretty capable and powerful fighters, much stronger than Derry was, and yet they're both acting... rather strange. If fighting were to erupt between these two, then that would put the burnt down site at risk of destruction, and finding that cellar door would be even harder if he has to make his way through a bunch of rubble. While Bamboo was at least somewhat willing to put aside the fighting for now, the ogre next to Derry wasn't as convinced.
Bamboo seemed to have known Amara, her fellow stargoon, for quite some time, and that Derry can be counted as Bamboo's friend. Well, things certainly could've gotten much worse. Derry decides to stay shut about his relationship with the Yellow Stargoon, and listens to Bamboo explain why fighting in the rain gives the opponent an upper hand, saying that there was rain in their eyes, and therefore it doesn't count. Derry pinches the bridge of his nose while the Green Stargoon scratches her bear before the gangster responds, "You know, personally, if someone tried pulling that on me, it would only make me want to punch them in the face even harder for attempting to pull a stunt like that."
At this point, however, the ogre next to Derry was fed up with the whole situation and he leaps forward to land a sucker punch directly into Bamboo's jaw, greatly worrying Derry. If these two start fighting here and now, it's gonna take hours to find that cellar door. While the ogre was rearing to go fight Bamboo, she actually attempts to stop the fighting by attempting to guilt trip the little boy scout, stating that Derry needs help finding whatever he really needs at the burnt wreckage. Naturally, she also uses Stephan to further guilt her opponent, even though the bear looks pretty unfazed about the whole situation. She gives a wink over to Derry before the gangster sighs to himself and steps forward as well, stating, "Alright, alright, look: Sure, she leveled a building right next to us. Thankfully, and hopefully, there might've not been anyone inside. The building was closed, after all. And look at that, none of the wreckage landed on that burnt down site right there," Derry points out as he points his finger at the burnt down orphanage.
The gangster turns his attention back to the ogre and continues, "Look, she did something bad, and you wanna make sure she pays for it, I get that. But... don't you think fighting in the middle of the city is a fantastic idea? And you, Bamboo, you don't like fighting in the rain, if I recall. Well, in that case," the gangster states as he claps both of his hands together, "how about this: you two can either find some location far away from the city where it isn't raining and settle this dispute here, or for now, you two can help me with my thing? See, I'm looking for a cellar door over there, and inside said cellar, there's supposed to be some important documents contained within that I need to get my hands on. So what do you two say, are you willing to temporarily put aside your differences and help a poor little guy over here?"

Yanwang was able to punch Bamboo right in the face with all his force. He expected her to maybe attack him back but she didn't. Guess he really caught her off guard. How could she be surprised that he was going to punch her in the face! She had caused so much chaos and destroys those buildings. Yanwang prepared to attack again but Bamboo claimed that was a baddie because him doing this was going to make Derry have to spend more time finding whatever he was looking for. "Yah I know that I got a solution for that already." Yanwang grinned. Ok so he didn't but he was not going to let evil just make a stupid excuse like that. This was for the greater good that he stopped Bamboo. She even tried to guilt-trip him with the bear but Yanwang was not buying it. That bear didn't even look like he cared.
As he prepared his next attack, Derrick then chimed in saying that no one got hurt, and even though she destroyed the building it was really not that bad. Yanwnag could concede that was the case but she was also a stargoon. And the stargoons had done a lot of bad. Just cause she had only done a little bad today, didn't erase all the bad she did in the past. Yanwang had a duty to stop her before she did even worse! But what stopped him, for now, was Derick pointed out it was maybe not the best idea to fight in the city. "Hmmm, that is true." Yanwang had to admit that, but he'd find a way around it. He'd just need some time to think. He had to find a way to bring her out of the city. Maybe he'd find something in Fujin Bag that would be useful. Yawnang began to search his bag as Derrick began to come up with other reasons to not fight. He didn't really care, he was just trying to find a solution to his problem.
"Hmmm a rocket won't work...maybe a torpedo..wait those are the same thing right? No, they have to be different why would people give them different names if they were not the same. Whatever let me think." Yanwang grumbled to himself as his hand was stuffed into his Fujin Bag trying to think of something to move the two of them out of the city. Yanwang finally turned as Derrick said he needed some documents and something about a cellar. "I can't evil go abide go find your cellar. I am gonna wait here if she leaves I'll go after her. Until then I am gonna sit her until I find something to make her move so I can beat her up." Yanwang looked back at his Fujin bag. For now, he'd leave the two of them be as he tried to figure some way to move Bamboo.

|Downfall| - Bamboo's PL: 180,000
Fortunately for Yanwang, there was something right in front of his eyes with the sole function of moving Bamboo.
Her legs.
Which they did, to meander away from the burning building to the previously-burnt building. Neat. She gave Stephan a few pats, presumably with the intention of getting him to say, before she placed both hands on her hips, determined!
"You just need some documents? Why?" Bamboo couldn't imagine what could be so important about words. Then again... words had lost her a lot of money before, so maybe it was something like that. There was nothing Bamboo hated more than the free market and its treacherous words. Oh, maybe he got scammed by Buis N. Essman too! Jumping to her own conclusions without consulting the subject in question, Bamboo gave the pink-haired man a firm pat on the back. "Ah, I get it now. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us."
Strolling further into the burnt wreckage of the orphanage, Bamboo inspected a few miscellaneous objects- a fallen brick, a burnt piece of wood, some kind of pencil, leftovers spared from the unending flames.
"You were looking for a cellar, right?" Cellar? Sounded like ceiling- she pointed up, eyebrows furrowed. "But there isn't one here... wait! Ashi talked about cellars sometimes- she said that they had the best alcohol in them! Oh man! Now she got it.
She pointed downwards, still somewhat confused. "Why do you need to find the door? Couldn't we just blast a hole in the floor? I can do it, y'know. I'm really good at blasting holes into things. Like, really good. You wanna see? Of course, you wanna see, right? Right?" without waiting for the consent of her newfound partner, a crackling orb of Ki manifested in her palm.
She seemed insistent- but she didn't fire- not yet, anyways. She waited for instructions!

Derry still couldn't believe that this was still going on at this point. At the very least, Bamboo was willing to help him out, although he was a bit hesitant around her. Of course, she doesn't seem to be the... stable type, let's say, but if she's an ally of Amara, then he's bound to make some progress with her around. The problem was now with the ogre, who still wasn't entirely convinced about the whole ceasefire sort of thing, although he thankfully took Derry's warning and considered his actions while he is still within the city. The ogre even begins rummaging through his bag in an attempt to find something inside the bag that would help, mentioning torpedoes and rockets. Wait, torpedoes? Rockets? The hell is up with that bag? All Derry could do in response is to just blankly stare at the ogre as he states that if Bamboo leaves, he'll follow, but once he finds something in his bag, he's gonna fight Bamboo. Derry was now on a timer before things go to shit. "Yeah, let me just say, explosives might be a bit dangerous around these parts. Try something a bit less destructive." Derry requests the ogre
Meanwhile, Bamboo at first questions why the gangster wants the documents in the first place, only to slap him on the back and state that she fully understands why he needs them and that it happens to the best of them. Really? Every boss hides emergency documents inside burnt down buildings? He sighs to himself and states to Bamboo as she walks towards the wreckage, "Yeah, uh, real important stuff." So long as Derry didn't have to disclose the document's contents to anyone else, the better, even if it was someone who works with Amara. Bamboo mentions that Derry's looking for a cellar, only to look above the building itself before coming to some sort of realization. All Derry could do was pinch the bridge of his nose, muttering to himself quietly, "It's enough to deal with one of ya."
The woman then asks if they could simply just blast a hole into the ground instead of finding the door since it'll likely be quicker that way, and before Derry could protest, she starts charging up an orb of ki in her hands. Panic and anger begin to fill Derry as he rushes forward to get in front of Bamboo and immediately responds, "That won't be necessary. This place has... sentimental value to me, let's say. And besides the ensuing wreckage might just damage whatever's down there, including the documents. Even though the ogre over there is rummaging through that bag thing, we still have time to just look for the door and-" As the gangster was pacing around the Stargoon, a creaking noise can be heard beneath his feet. Derry looks beneath his feet, and notices a handle nearby. He brushes the nearby wood and dust aside to reveal the cellar door, right there beneath their very noses. "Well, this is the best string of luck I've had in a while." As the gangster lifts the door up, Derry looks behind himself and announces to the ogre, "Found it! You wanna come or not?"
