Typha had something he had to do. Typha was pretty sure Yudi had died on Namek. Yudi probably went and stayed to save as many Namekians as he could. Not that it mattered in the end, Typha was too weak to hold the Stargoons off for any longer than a few minutes. If Yudi had died then he would have returned to life on this planet. So Typha needed to find his friend and at least see how he was doing. If he was not on Earth then he’d be in the afterlife. He was out in the South talking with people. They had apparently seen a blue skinned man with samurai armor. So that where he was going to be asking questions and seeing if he could get more leads. He arrived at a small village out in the ocean. He glanced around seeing maybe three dozen people or less lived here. It was not a lot.
Typha walked over to the first person he saw an older man who was fishing. The man looked up an annoyed scowl on his face. “Who the hell are you strangers?” The man glanced at his fishing rod as the fish lined its hook. “Ah dammit that all your fault stranger.” The man got up but Typha raised his hand “You can keep fishing I just have a few questions. I am looking for a blond haired blue skinned man. Wearing Samurai like armor.” The Fisherman scowled as he went back to finishing. “Yah I saw him. A few weeks ago, what about him.” Typha glanced at the fishermen. “Can you tell me where he went?” The man looked at him “Not this shit again? Listen man whoever he is, he’s not coming back so you can just lay off ok.” Typha frowned a bit before lightly pushing his foot into the ground. By lighting it cracked the ground around the fishermen. Typha really needed to learn to control his own strength better. “Where did he go.” Typha kept a calm look as the Fisherman sweated and stood up. He was 6 feet and well built but Typha didn’t flinch.
“You think you can come here and scare me. I will not be intimidated. It is for your safety anyway, no one ever comes back from the Isle of Mist” Typha blinked, the forest of Terror? He had never heard of this. Guess that was some place. “Where is this Forest.” The man frowned his fist curling up. “You're just some mohawk shaped brat. You think cause you got a fancy sword like the last guy you can go there and survive. Fucking everyone these days. Stupid people.” Typha took in a small breath. “I think I can, yes?” The man raised his fist. “Well let me show you that you got no chance!” The fist flew as Typha raised one hand catching it with ease. The man looked shocked. Typha raised his head slightly revealing his left robotic eye. The man seemed to curl back in shock but Typha didn’t let go of his hand “Let go of me man. The fuck you doing?” Typha glanced at him, “You tried to punch me. I caught your fist. Now I’m asking you a question.”
The man growled. “You can’t intimidate me. With your one eye and your really strong grip.” Typha pressed a bit harder pushing the guy to a knee. By now people were gathering around. Typha calmly spoke. “I’m not going to threaten you. But I can Intimidate you. I can really hurt you if I wanted too. That person is my friend and I am his teacher. I would like to know where he is.” The man cried out “Guys help me.” The other villages moved closer drawing out weapons. Typha glanced back at them. His aura flared as the ground began to rumble dropping the people to the ground. The man cried out again “Fine just let me go!” Typha did as he rubbed his wrist. “It is an island far out that apparently you can become immortal if you find the center with some dumb herb. We send people there though to fight ghosts. Apparently the island infested with them.” Typha glanced, he was not sure why Yudi would want to find some healing herb but fighting ghosts did seem something he’d do. “Alright thank you which way I need to go.” The man pointed west. “It moves but you’ll find it is an island shrouded in mist.”
Typha nodded and began to fly off. He felt bad about scaring these people but this was his friend. He was going to find Yudi, if Yudi was out there fighting Ghost and had not returned after a week that meant he bit a more than he could chew. And if he had finished and moved on at least he could use the place as a marker of where he might be now. Typha flew around looking for the island for around 10 minutes before spotting a blotch of mist in the sea. Typha flew down and saw that it was indeed an island. Typha landed on the coast as the mist quickly consumed him. He couldn’t see the sea now. It seemed like the island had grown larger and he couldn’t simply leave. He reached his hand into the mist but just met more mist. “Hmm this is indeed odd.” Typha just began to walk. He’d walk around and hopefully he could find Yudi and lead him out.
As he walked through the mist he heard the odd sound of churning metal. Typha decided to ignore it for now until his robotic eye beeped lightly. Typha paused in the mist glancing around. He could not see anything but something was there. Typha kept walking as the mist behind opened up. A large metal hand reached out grabbing him as he spun around. He was sent flying as the metal arm smashed him against a tree. “Your…” A red eye smeared from the mist. The eye of the machines that had destroyed Konats. They were here on Earth? Why? Why of this island of all places. Typha swung his sword cutting the arm off clean. The machine staggered back as he flew kneeing it in the face. That should have been enough to finish it off but it grabbed his leg and swung him around. He smashed through a set of trees before skidding to a halt. Typha whipped his mouth and stood up. “I can see why Yudi had trouble.”
The Machine beeps and launches at Typha. With its one good arm it fired a barrage of strikes. Typha easily dodged them and didn’t attack. This machine’s battle level had been around two thousand on Konats. But he was sure this one was maybe ten times stronger. Typha raised his blade deflecting the arm blow down. The machine eye spun as it fired a crimson beam of energy. “That’s new!” Typha raised his free arm catching the beam as he slid back slightly. He turned the beam back blasting off the Robot’s other arm. The Robot staggered back before it glowed and fired at Typha. Typha leaped over dodging as it zigzagged across the woods. Typha deflected it each time it flew past him. Typha was in control until he sensed a ki behind him. He leaped into the air dodging a second attack. There were two people now? The Mist cleared slightly as he landed in a tree. He glanced around to see what he was facing. It was a Konatsian Woman. At first he assumed it was Ashi but this thing had blue hair and short spiky hair. “What the hell?” Typha was confused now. But then it clicked what was going on.
Before he could confirm that the tree behind him was cut apart as he leaped back. He had a small gash on his back before a whirling of blades. A white haired Konatsian attacked him with two blades. His own image of what Plato was like. Someone that sometimes haunted his mind as the herald of his house. Now he knew it to be the case. This was not real. At least not real people. The attacks were pretty real. But all these things were from his mind, warped in some way. “Hmm this is a real pain.” Typha blocked the strikes from Plato as ‘ashi’ illusion leaped behind him and swung its sword down. Typha blocked and swung the blade up cutting the illusion in half. “Honestly, If you thought i’d not cut a fake illusion of her you’d be surprised.” The Robot rushed at him again tackling him as he was distracted. Its Eye glowed as it got ready to fire a point blank beam. Typha grabbed it by the neck and twisted it head up. The beam fired into the sky before Typha spun and slashed it in half. The robot collapsed as he turned to face this Plato Illusion.
Typha raised his blade above his head. The Illusion rushed headlong at Typha. The two clashed blades. Each of the strikes slammed into one another without stopping as both attacked without a second thought. One of Plato's swords slammed into Typha's guard, knocking his sword up. The second flew towards Typha head but he ducked dodging the blade just in time. Typha flew up kicking Plato in the jaw before swinging with another barrage of slashes. Now it was his turn to take the offensive. He knocked one of the blades out of Plato’s hand before thrusting his blade for his chest. But the illusion smartly spun around the slash and swung at Typha's arm. Typha pulled his arm back but still got cut. Typha grinned just a bit. “The first two were not that strong. Is that because the stronger I put you in my mind the stronger you are?” Typha raised his blade.
“In that case.”
Typha roared as a fearsome aura flared around him. He had not used this form for a while but it was his Pale Rose. His hair was white now as he rushed swinging, cutting off the illusion of his right arm. Plat raised his sword swinging down with fearsome force but Typha simply deflected it the blow without even looking up. “Go back to where you came. Ghast of my mind.” Typha pressed forward impaling Plato in the chest as it faded away. Typha powered down with a huff. He focused on regaining his ki. Typha was going to need all of it for this place. Typha kept moving. He could see other illusions from the rest of his life. A few golden haired warriors. But those didn’t scare him and they looked so frail. He was quite sure at this point how this place worked. The Illusions seemed to be as strong as people interpreted them. The Robots he knew were weak and Ashi while she was strong, Typha knew for a fact he was stronger. Plato was stronger because he had made an assumption he was very strong. But Typha also was confident in his strength now. Those were stories, he had no proof. Why fear something he could never see. Respect, sure he could have that but fear? That was foolish. Typha didn’t fear many things and he was not going to make a long dead man one of them.
Typha paused as he arrived at the center. He could see Yudi holding a wound. Above him was a large intimation of King Yemma. “Man..shit I've been fighting this guy all the time and I can’t win.” Typha walked over. “I found you lets get out of here.” Yudi looked up. “T...Typha...Your alive!” Typha gave a thumbs up. “Yah I got revived by the dragonballs. Why did you come here?” Yudi frowned. “I was looking for that herb. I heard it could heal people. I thought i could use it to help people?” Yudi glanced. Typha then rubbed his chin “Wait if your so confused why I’m alive did you escape Namek?” Yudi looked away. “I ran away. I was afraid.” Typha smiled a bit. Before he could say he was glad he was ok the Giant Yemma swung down at them. Typha grabbed Yudi and dodged the smash of the mahogany mallet.
“We can’t win, this guy is super strong!” Yudi said as Typha glanced at Yudi. He put him down lightly. “Yudi you did really good to get this far. What did you see back there.” Yudi rubbed his head. “Uh old exs here and there. I beat them pretty easy though.” Typha chuckled. “Dammit Yudi….” He smiled. “It's good to see you now how we got out.” Yudi glanced at him. “We gotta make it to the end. That's what the fishermen told me.” Typha frowned, it seems that guy left some details. Typha was sure he could get out if he wanted too but he also didn’t wanna risk it. This place had a magical vibe to it. Typha looked up at the King Yemma rip up. “Yudi listens to these illusions. They are only as strong as you imagine them. If you think they are super strong then they become strong.” Typha raised his sword. “Now get some confidence.” Yudi nodded.
Yudi aura flared as he charged the King Yemma swinging his sword at it. “KI Slash!” His muscles bulged as he slashed Yemma. The slash lightly cut the illusion but it swung it maul smashing him into the dirt. “GUAH!” Yudi laid there as Typha glanced. “Yudi you must think he is unbeatable or something?” Yudi yelled. “Well of course he is! He is the King of Heaven and Hell. I doubt anyone can touch him.” Typha grunted. “Well let me give it a shot then.” Yudi scrambled away. “Oh man this is bad.” Typha raised his blade glancing at the Yemma illusion. It seemed to shrink as Yudi glanced. “Huh?” Typha aura flared as launched right at the Yemma Illusion. He powered up back into his Pale Rose form. He elbowed its jaw and flew around it. The Yemma illusion swung its hammer around but Typha dodged each strike with each. “Woah..when did you get this strong?” Yudi could barely follow. He knew Typha was strong but it seemed like now he was on a whole different level. Typha flew around dodging the strikes over and over before swinging his blade up cutting it in half. Typha glanced at Yudi smiling lightly. “Let's keep moving.” Yudi jaw dropped. “But..how….you must imagine Yemma is unbeatable.”
Typha laughed as he grabbed Yudi to help him up. “Oh he is strong I just kept myself in check. Yah he is strong but I don’t know how strong. So I don’t fret about it.” Yudi's jaw stayed dropped as he got up and followed Typha. “Alright..if you say so but sometimes I think you're crazy.” They could see the end of the forest ahead, they should be arriving at where they needed to go. No other illusions approached it seemed that had conquered their demons. “I’m surprised there aren't more things here for you yudi?” Typha said as Yudi grunted. “Well other then maybe some ghosts.” A ghost rushed at them but Yudi casually cut it in half. “I’m surprised you haven't seen more people. You've got a lot of foes.” A saiyan leaped at him, their hair golden but Typha casually cut it in half. “I mean I don’t see my enemies as really strong. It's hard to explain but I try not to worry about it. I think that it makes me more calm. Only a few people do I worry about but right now I’m calm. Because there is only one thing that I know I’m afraid of. And these things ain’t it.” Yudi glanced surprised. “What could you be afraid of.” Typha paused as he realized he might have jinxed this. Hopefully he had not. “Don’t worry, I’ll tell you after this.”
At the end sat a throne with three Konatsian sitting and kneeling at the man on the throne. The man leaned forward. Yudi and Typha bowed paused. “Guess I did jinx it.” Typha glanced at a reflection of himself. But there were some key differences, this man had a visor on his face rather than one robotic eye and he had a right arm composed of Metal. “So that is me?” The man on the throne pushed off as the other three Konatsian scattered. “I’m your fear huh.” The Illusion grinned pointing his blade at Typha. “The vile version of yourself. The one who didn’t save his people." Yudi glanced at Typha. Typha shook his head. “Just any version of me that fell to his madness…” He was interrupted by the Illusion of himself. “Madness! Don’t make me laugh, it's just rational. I have evolved. I’m your better.” The Illusion rushed at Typha as he raised his blade. Yudi raised his blade to help him fight.
The Illusion swung his blade Typha parried. Right away the Illusion turned slashing at Yudi. Yudi blocked but the Illusion quickly went on pressuring him with a series of fast and powerful strikes. Typha moved in cutting off the assault with a slash of his own. Yudi leaped off Typha shoulders slashing down at the Illusion. The Illusions blocked and stepped back a bit. Then he slashed a powerful slash of ki knocked Yudi away “Always with this shit!” Yudi yelled as the Illusion and Typha locked blades quickly after. “Now that the weakling is out of the way, now we can fight.” Typha pushed back. “Yudi is not weak.” The illusion interrupted him again. “Compared to us he is.” Yudi blinked. “Damn this illusion an asshole.” Yudi pulled himself against the tree. “But he got a point. I’m no way near them in power.”
Typha and the Illusion separated and circled each other with their weapons drawn and pointed to one another. The man then raised his right arm grinning “Gatling Lighting!” A burst of energy flew from the arm as Typha aura flared around himself. He flew off the blast once more returning to his Pale Rose Form. The Illusion took on the same form and flew after Typha. “You can’t run away.” Typha pulled back his sword “Ki slash!” He swung as a current of energy flew out slamming into the Illusion torso and knocking him into the dirt. Typha landed and raised his blade. The Illusion however was gone from his position “!” Typha spun blocking a strike from behind by the illusion. It threw a barrage of strikes but with each one he pushed Typha more back. His strength increased with each blow. Typha fear of himself only increased with a flash of steel. Until the dam broke.
The Illusion swung past a slash from Typha and slashed his chest open. Typha skidded back holding the wound. “Unlike you I trained this form. I didn’t fancy learning some new forms like you did. With my cybernetic enhancements I’m far stronger than you. I bet you're unwilling to power up too, you're worried I’ll pick up and overpower you?” The Illusion grinned raising his blade. Typha didn’t speak, he just looked down his good eye dark with doubt. Yudi leaned up. “Yo Typha. You don’t gotta fear yourself. This ain’t you.” The Illusion glanced at Yudi. “You wanna know what I did to be like this.” The illusion flicked his blade. “First I choose to allow the machines to run rampant but with me. Once I reached Namek I did revive the Konatsian sure but then I went back and ruled that dust bucket. They tried to stop me. One put up quite a fight. She was strong..what was her name. Oh it was...."
Typha Interupted. “Don’t.”
The Illusion glanced. “I mean why not? You attacked her then fell in love with her. Now she killed you. You should have done it earlier. You should have been the monster you know you are. The Bane of Konats. The Most powerful being in the universe. With that Kaioken of yours we are literally unstoppable. No one could stand up to us. Just give up to your dark instincts. You know you’d enjoy doing that. Just cutting loose, and not going a damn what they said about you. Just like those machines or against Monster. Where you let your instincts carry you. But you gave those up because you got some ideals...And I know what that is. It won’t happen.”
Typha looked up every so slightly. "Don't say her name."
The Illusion tilted his head. “You're still on her name? You want to be happy and you think you can do that if she becomes a good guy like you are. Maybe you just need to go bad. Why not be a stargoon. Why not blow planets away. Why the hell not? Who is going to stop you all? It is not like anyone thanked you for protecting Namek. No one else even fucking came. Worst Part? She killed you. She knocked you out and said she’d save you. You trusted her then Ashi…” When he said the name he paused as a sword passed through his chest. “GAUUUUUUUUH” He coughed out as Typha was behind him.
Typha swung around kicking the man's leg. The Illusion collapsed holding his leg. “The fuck…” Typha stood over his Mastered Holy Rose form now in use. The darker pink hair shimmered in the darkness. “I’m not afraid of you. But I am a bit annoyed by your drabbling. I only fear one thing. It's not this me. It is me right now.” “!” The Illusion flew back but Typha kicked him in the gut. The blunt side of his sword slammed into his jaw breaking it. “I also told you not to say that name. Because above everything else the person that pisses me off the most right now is her.” He raised his sword as the Illusion flew into the air “BULLSHIT!”
The Illusion raised its sword high in the air “We are not the same! I’m stronger! I’m you if you gave into your vices!” A powerful current of energy flew down as Yudi flew for cover. “OH SHIT!” Typha looked up and sighed. He drew his blade back as Red energy surrounded the blade. “We are not the same as you. But you being stronger? Don’t make a joke like that. That is in very bad taste.” He swung “Full power Ki slash!” The Slash of the Illusion was overwhelmed. “NO!” The Illusion cried out as he was snuffed out. The mist slowly faded away as Typha powered down with a sigh. “That is all he wrote.” When the mist cleared all there was a small bean tree. A tree that Typha had seen before. A senzu bean tree?” Typha glanced confused. Typha walked over picking one of the beans. Yudi glanced. “Woah guess if it was a bean that heals all wounds right?” Typha frowned. “Not all Yudi.”
Yudi glanced at his Typha "Typha can I ask you something?" Yudi said with hesitation. "Go ahead.” Yudi rubbed his head. “So what he was talking about with you and Ashi.” Typha turned back. “Yudi. I know you wanna help me with that but that's something I gotta deal with. I need time. And more importantly I need to find out what happened on Namek.” Typha walked off as Yudi sighed. “Shit.” Yudi followed Typha but didn’t say a word it was gonna be an awkward flight back to cilvization.
