Some people just didn’t know when to quit. In this case, it was a small group of rough-housers and petty crooks that had decided to cause a bit of a situation at a West City bank that was closed for the night. Several of these thugs had managed to make their way out the front door with some cash, only to be met with resistance from local authorities; but eventually this encounter became a stalemate, the criminals couldn’t progress further than the bottom of the steps at the entrance behind some turned over rubble and the authorities weren’t able to get close enough without getting into a spot of bother.
Said stalemate would go on for about ten minutes until an individual clad in black and white leaped over from beyond a rooftop and into the middle of the street. The chaos of gunfire and yelling ceased as the new arrival’s presence was made known... "Criminals, crooks and ne'er do wells beware!" Their voice boomed, as they stepped forward towards the criminal grouping, the authorities breathing a sigh of relief at the sight they saw. "The innocent and kind need not fear, for the one and only Makaimporph—"
"Is here!" Their pose was struck, and without so much as a warning, Makaimorph; shapeshifting hero of the night launched forward, using his magical skill to render the criminal’s firearms useless, either by transmutating them into foam fakes or turning them into sparkles. With a few deft over arm throws, he tossed the criminals into the middle of the road bewildered and shaken for the proper authorities to handle their arrests. Not being one to stick around for congratulations, Makaimorph swiftly left the scene by turning into a small black rodent and scurrying into a nearby alleyway. Once he was out of view, he returned to his humanoid form and silently made his way up to a nearby rooftop from which he could survey the city, in some way it was part of his ‘brooding edge’ motif to do this sort of thing.
Besides, the chances of someone else being up on the rooftops wasn’t super high in his experience, but he could always be proven wrong any time...
