NAME: Reise Shizuki (pronounced like Rice)
ALIASES: Shizu, The Azure Assassin, Selfless Student
SPECIES: Earthling
AGE: 23
GENDER: Male
STARTING PLANET: Earth
APPEARANCE: Reise's body betrays his personality and upbringing. Although mostly unremarkable with dark messy hair and grey eyes, his face is soft and his features especially fail to intimidate most. Weighing in at 61kg and 172cm, he's nothing special. His body is covered in scars, marks and other strange things that are seemingly going to stay with him forever. Some are results of fighting, run-ins with wild beasts while others are deliberately added onto him for specific reasons. For the most part, he wears unassuming outfits and is known to not really stick out. He could be described as a 'herbivore man' when it comes to his fashion sense but he is in fact quite athletic. Beneath his clothes are myriads of bandages to cover up the weird markings placed on him to assist him in Ki control and the wounds of his vigorous life-threatening training.

All art used is official and the source is Mahoutsukai no Yoru by TYPE-MOON, drawn by Hirokazu Koyama. (I also have no clue why the render is so big, sorry.)
The Story So Far: Reise grew up in particularly strange circumstances. Trained in the mountains by an organization that schools children from a young age to become martial artists. But not just regular martial artists. They have a specific goal in mind. Assassination. Hired killers. Taught to think of themselves as tools, weapons, the students under this organization are not permitted senses of self. They do not have goals or aspirations, personalities or so on. You are raised to fight and kill. Quite literally thrown to the wolves, Shizuki has had many run-ins with wild beasts and smaller dinosaurs in his training which has left his body permanently scarred. He took to his training especially well but the void where his heart was, the complete lack of a drive gnawed at him. Regardless, he completed his training and was let free from the snowy peaks where this group hid from the world. Reintegrated into regular society with fake details and history, he could finally look for work to kill. And he did. He finished training by 20 and went into higher education as a chance to get used to the world and socializing while covering up his true work, the organization continued to search for potential clients for him to get him started. After the first job, he would have to find work completely by himself and a cut of it would of course go back to them. Eventually, he finally got word of a job. Fate is cruel. He was tasked with killing one of his closest friends in school, told that his actual enrolment there gave him a perfect cover and the chance to assassinate the target. Regardless of the anxiety that ate at him, he did it. Executed flawlessly, the one person he had confided in and grown to trust was dead by his hands. It was after this that Reise began to feel something. Strong emotion. Things he'd never felt before. And it was then that he knew he finally had something to believe in. Killing is wrong. The lack of self made the horror of his actions that much worse, putting a lot of mental stress on him and filling him with guilt. Since he only felt negative emotions after a life of neutrality and emptiness, he wondered if maybe emotion was wrong and the organization taught him right. Maybe he was defective. But instead, he used these new and unknown feelings to form the conviction that he would use the powers he'd trained and perfected to stop those who play with life. He would be.. an anti-assassin. He would go against what his whole life had been leading to. He would never kill again and he would save every life he could. He strongly believed this. This was the first and only thing he'd ever believed in. He's spent the rest of his years working in fast food, living alone and thwarting assassination attempts pulled off by his fellow students. And that's where we are today.
On account of the training, Reise is very much an introvert. Interaction with other people beyond students for sparring and lectures for him is a weak point. His experience as a person in civilization is a lot less than that of his experience as a tool. Despite this, it mostly just manifests as him being overly quiet and awkward in conversation. He continues to socialize and integrate despite how poor he is at it in the hopes of coming to find himself. His few beliefs are strong and he can be very passionate when prompted but he attempts to keep it to himself as he doesn't want to preach or burden others. He is envious of most people who have strong, unwavering personalities while he feels like he has nothing and is merely trying to assimilate a personality. Reise wants to understand others and himself, and he finds himself doing this through battle where no words have to be spoken. He is naturally gifted in hand-to-hand combat but he struggles with using Ki. He has sigils engraved into his body filled with energy that he has to call upon. He refills these himself over time and uses them as bonus stores of Ki due to his majorly lacking store which equals him out to about average. He can call upon Ki but his sense for distinguishing what is Ki and what isn't is very lacking and he fails to understand it. He is weak at range due to this, whereas his melee blows are infused with Ki on instinct and he targets key vitals. He was taught to never need a second strike in battle. One blow should kill your target. He has reworked this fighting style to be more about paralyzing and disabling the foe but denying the true version of his style holds him back a lot.
TECHNIQUES:
OFFENSIVE/DEFENSIVE TECHNIQUES: [A1] Overclock - Reise sends a majority of his Ki into and around his fist, shrouding it in a large aura. Upon connecting, all of the Ki explodes right there and then to blast the opponent away. 33% PL.
[VA2] Piercing Variant - True Strike - A more focused and unassuming attack taught by his assassin syndicate. Normally meant to pour all of your Ki into a strike right as it lands to completely destroy a vital. Usually used fatally, Reise has repurposed it to destroy defences and paralyze his opponents, hindering the combat capability. 33% PL and Piercing.
SUPPORT TECHNIQUES:
UTILITY TECHNIQUES: [SU1] Rule of Cool - As an assassin, Reise has been taught to be quick and precise with his movements. As such, he uses his natural agility and speed to evade an attack that is below 100% of his PL. An assassin always has to look cool when fighting, which means avoiding attacks in tryhard fashion.
Transformations - [Earthling - 0PL - Starter - x2 - Temporary] Circuit Spark - Shizuki releases all of the Ki in the sigils and circuits across his body, overcharging his body and giving him an abundance of Ki to work with. Due to his lack of control, he finds himself relying on having more Ki than he needs so he can not worry about his usage of it but this of course usually backfires. Turns his Ki a deep blue, which is where his title of 'Azure' comes from. He often overused this while training which left the organization to associate him with the colour of his powered up state.
