PL: 17,460 Lionel, wearing a red coat with a dark red button-up shirt underneath as well as work pants and boots floated on into the park carrying a brand new metal fountain shell with ornate designs on it. His job was to get the thing set up before large amounts of people showed up, which is typical in the daytime, but since its night that meant that he should be able to work in peace. He landed by a crossroad walkway, the center part being from just the right size and shape to fit the fountain. Seems the park workers were informed ahead a time. Good on them for efficiency. But now it was Lionel's time to work. He's getting paid plenty for this by the park executives, so he ought to get this thing set up just right.
He placed the fountain down on the ground and took a capsule out of his pocket, clicked the button, and tossed it. In a puff of smoke, the crate containing the parts to hook the fountain up and getting it functioning was thus revealed. As he got started in unlocking the crate, he hoped that no ki user fights happened, it’d be rather irritating if they did. He glanced at the hole in the ground, seems the park workers also already set up the wiring, good, that'll make things easier on him.

Yanwang was working on fighting his inner demons. He had learned a lot from Derry, so he decided if he wanted to master ki control first he must master inner peace. Something like that anyway. He thought he had removed all his problems a long time ago but it seemed he had just put them deep within himself. So maybe he should go out and just relax or talk to people. Being isolated and just training had not done any wonders for him. Of course, what was the most important was to find something to do that was not training. To say that was hard would be an understatement. Everything seemed to be super boring nowadays. But Yanwang was sure he could find at least something to do if he looked hard enough. Eventually, as he walked he noticed a white-haired fellow who seemed to be working on something. Yanwang decided to walk over to check it out. "Yo what are you doing this seems cool?" Yanwang right now was just curious but maybe if he could help this guy out. It would kill some time at the worst and be fun if things worked out in his favor. He could only hope that it'd at least take a while so he could keep himself occupied.

He got the wires he needed out and started to connect them to the ports set up at the center of the cross pathway. Once connected he picked up the fountain and carefully placed it on its side. It was then that he detected Yanwang's powerlevel. 'okay...that's a bit worrying' he thought to himself and tensed slightly, then he relaxed a little bit upon hearing the man's voice. He turned his head slightly, but not leaving his crouched position. "not quite as 'cool' as you might think, just setting up a fountain paid for by the city government. Not quite the most glamourous job, but not only am I getting paid for it," he paused for a moment to connect several wires that required his focus. Upon completion he simply got the sensor for the fountain out of the crate. "but it ought to look pretty nice for any visitors I suppose," he finished explaining as he connected the sensor to the inside of the fountain, set so that when it gets dark the lights in it will turn on to add an interesting effect. And with that, he finally placed the fountain onto its final destination and then got the tethers out to lock it down into the ground so no odd weather messes it up.
Unfortunately, that was the easy part, the next part required getting water as he did make sure that the pumps would work properly beforehand. He also had to make sure that the lights would give the effect he intended, as well as the other neat features that were ordered. Upon closer inspection of the fountain, Yanwang would notice that the 7 nozzles where water comes out on the sides are shaped like dragon heads with their mouths open, while the center of the fountain was patterned as though there were wings wrapping around a central point, with the tails with dull arrow head tipped tails were sprouting upward but curved in the direction of their respective dragon heads. There was a nozzle of water at the center as well, showing that there will be water sprouting from that as well, though he would be able to see colored, but still offline lights, on the eyes of the dragons. The bowl has seven curved lines that jut out, with orbs at the end of each one. The outer part of the bowl was textured with a scaled pattern, like that of any reptile.
"so, what do you think?" he asked Yanwang with a slightly prideful expression, a small smirk on his face at the sight of the fountain standing where it is assigned to be, he did forge this fountain after all. The interruption was unexpected, but hey, at least he'll have some interaction while on the job...

Yanwang watched carefully listening as Lionel explained that what he was doing was not actually that fun. Yanwang frowned, that made him bored then. If this was not a fun thing to do he was unsure if he wanted to help as much. What was he to do? Yanwang laid down in the grass and began to watch as Lionel worked. The fountain did look pretty awesome. He would give the guy that. But Yanwang wanted to do something. Watching this guy make a fountain was ok? It was not the most boring thing that he had ever watched but it was certainly not the best thing. Yanwang guessed he'd just had to wait and watch. Finally, the man seemed to finish and Lionel asked what he thought of the fountain. "I mean that is pretty cool I guess. It looks really cool but watching it is still boring. I am looking for something to be super fun! You know anything I can do to have a good time." Yanwang gave Lionel a thumbs up and waited for him to answer.

Lionel thought about Yanwang's words, truth be told he's not really had a good spar in a long time. He thought about it as he checked the pumps and tested them. 'Ah good, they're working.' Now he just needs to get water into it. "Trust me, the best part about this fountain is soon to come," he told him with a slight smirk as he got a hose out of the crate and connected it with the nearby nozzle, and turned it on. He filled up the fountain's bowl, once the bowl was full, he turned the nozzle off and disconnected the hose from it, and put it back in the crate. He picked up a remote, time to test it fully. "Okay, time to watch the show." And with that he pressed the button, it was merely a test and he'd only have it on for a minute.
But what a minute it was, for the water was quickly sucked into the center and started streaming out of each nozzle, and with the lights on one could see the glowing eyes of the dragons, as well as the lights changing the color of the water to make them look as though the dragons were unleashing a golden hot liquid. Once the minute was up, he turned to Yanwang fully. "I thought about your words and...admittedly you're not wrong." He told him as he put the tools away and got them back into a capsule and put them back in his capsule container. "I presume that you're looking for...perhaps a spar?" He asked getting straight to the point. He could use the exercise after such boring work as this. Of course, they'd need to go to another location for the said spar, and he'd need to go put his stuff away first, but still, he isn't against a good sparring partner.

Yanwang watched as Lionel kept working on the fountain. Apparently, the best part of this fountain was coming soon. He watched as he was working on something to make the fountain work? That was his best guess. He eventually set up a button as waster got sucked into the middle as the dragons began to unleash a golden liquid. "Huh? What is that? That is not water right?" He had never seen golden water before. So what was that supposed to be? He didn't realize it was just a light trick. "That is pretty cool honestly. How did that happen?" Yanwang turned as Lionel asked what he was looking for was maybe a spar. Yanwang turned his head looking for Lionel. Lionel was pretty well built but he was not sure. Was this guy strong enough to be a good spar. He didn't want to hurt this guy nor ruin his fountain. "I mean I'd love to have a spar that does that fun but I am not sure. I don't want to hurt you on accident old man." He assumed he was an old man since he had white hair. For a human that was not normal at all right?

Lionel smirked at Yanwang's question. "Oh it most certainly is water," he told him as the water stopped flowing. Then he pointed at some well-placed lights. "You see when I was given this job, the rules set for it was simply: Make a fountain, ensure that it set at this specific location, make it eye-catching but also child friendly. So seeing how I was given creative freedom...this is the result." he sounded rather smug about it. "Turns out that when colored lights are activated at just the right areas one can create interesting illusions." He had his arms crossed at this, still looking pretty smug and proud about his creation.
His mood shifted a bit though upon hearing the 'old man' comment, suddenly getting reminded of his days in the saiyan military. His expression went from smug, to blank as he turned his face to Yanwang. "I'm almost 20 actually, and you can lower your rather impressive powerlevel can't ya? 'Sides, I didn't say we had to spar here." because like hell he's going to risk his payment and his work. Then he pulled the capsule holding the tools and such out. "I also have to put my stuff away first, no need to risk them in a spar right?" He asked though making it clear that the spar would be for after he put his stuff away at the forge.

Yanwang listened as Lionel explained the job and that indeed this water. He used his creative freedom o just make it really cool with colored light so it can create illusions. "Oh, that is cool." Yanwang gave a thumbs up. That was sure to get the kids to enjoy it. Lionel then got annoyed when he called him an old man. Apparently, he was barely twenty years old. He didn't talk or look like that. He thought he was maybe in his sixties "Well i mean you do look pretty old. I mean it is not normal for people to have white hairs in their 20's did you dye it or something?" Yanwang tilted his head. That seemed to be the next best guess on why Lionel's hair was so odd. Then he asked if he could lower his powerlevel. Yanwang shook his head. "No, I can't. But you can sense ki. Maybe you can help me learn how to sense Ki. I am trying to learn how to do it so I can you know how strong I am and how strong other people are but I can't really get the hang of it." That could work out for both of them. Yanwang then went to sit down as Lionel had to clean up his tools.

Lionel just sighed, this wasn't the first time he was mistaken for an old man. "I was born with it, it's a rather common trait in my clan." Was all he stated rubbing a palm on his forehead in exasperation, making it clear that this isn't the first time he's had this conversation. Then came the part about sensing ki, apparently Yanwang doesn't know how to do so. "It's not easy to learn, but once it is it becomes instinctual, so sure, I'll help you with this as best I can." He starts, trying to figure out how to explain it. "From what I gather, it's something that few people know how to do, I honestly stumbled upon it by accident." He began to pace, his hand stroking his beard in thought. "Now do understand that I've never been in a teaching position before so, I apologize if my teaching isn't exactly the best," he told Yanwang looking a bit sheepish about it. "The ability sense ki can be best described as sensing the life-force, location, and power level of any living creature around, the stronger and closer said person or creature is, the more powerful the sensation." He decided to start with the description of it, after all, it can do more than just sense people, why even now he can sense random squirrels grabbing walnuts at nearby trees, or even the birds flying above. "Truth be told, I sometimes use it to relax and just sense the wildlife around me, rather relaxing. Helps break the monotony as I work." He explains with a smile.
Honestly, the reason why he wants to teach Yanwang is so that he knows to be careful around normal folk, might as well do some preventive measures right? Besides, he seems to be a good man so he figures that upon teaching him he'll know how much to hold back around other people...unless they are 'bad guys' anyway or people who are able to match him. Another reason is so that the man can be a good sparring partner for Lionel, and the best way to do that is to make sure that he knows how much to lower his level to whenever they spar...at least until Lionel catches up that is, so he is most certainly not just doing this out of some whim. "All that said," he sat down on a bench. "maybe a story should help?" he thought out loud, then continued, "I honestly figured it out after I tried, and failed to make an energy shield technique, see the shield technique idea that came to mind was one that would surround me in a sort of bubble shield, so I figured that it would require concentration right?" he paused to let that sink in.
"So I started meditating on my ki, it took a few hours but instead of a shield technique I ended up sensing just how much ki I actually had." He shrugged at this, the things that happen by accident. "Upon realizing what I had done, I started expanding on it, let this new sense that I had to look outward, and low and behold, I could suddenly sense my old teammates among others. Damn good timing too since we were getting deployed for battle the next day." He had a proud smirk on that this. "It sure as hell saved our lives that day since our Scouters got sabotaged by infiltrators. I may not have gotten the shield technique I wanted, but I did get something a hell of a lot more useful in the process wouldn't ya say?" He finished rather proud that his accidental discovery ended up saving both him and his comrades.

Yanwang nodded as Lionel explained that his clan was just born with white hair. That was really odd but maybe his parent was super old. Or they just had the white hair genes? Yanwang really had no clue but the point was, Lionel had white hair. Yanwang then listened as Lionel began to explain what he knew about Ki sensing. Lionel could hopefully help him understand how Ki sense worked. Apparently, he had discovered it by mistake. Maybe that was going to be the same way for him? Yanwang shook his head, Lionel was still talking so Yanwang focused to take all the information from Lionel's words. He suggested meditating in the wildlife but Yanwang frowned. "I've tried that before and it didn't work for me." Yanwang pulled his hair. How did it come so easy to this guy?
Lionel, however, had something to say, he had a story for him. A story that could maybe help him learn how to control his ki. He apparently learned how to learn to sense ki after trying to make an energy shield technique. At first, that didn't make any sense but Lionel made the point that both required concentration. Once he did that he began to try to learn it and learn how to control his ki. Apparently, it helped him a lot to help his friends. Yanwang nodded. "Yah that seems super useful. It could help me a lot and protect my friends." Yanwang gave a thumbs up. He was right for sure, Yanwang could maybe try to make a scouter but that would not help him that much in the long term. A scouter could be destroyed but with Ki sense, he could sense everyone around him. Yanwang kept rubbing his chin "So how exactly were you doing when you learned to sense ki I know you said you were making a ki shield but how did that jump from that to another."

Lionel was just glad that he didn't have to talk more about the white hair, still, he had a point. He stroked his beard in thought. "Honestly, step one of the concept I had was to focus my ki all over my body, up to, and including my head, then have it expand out from there into a large bubble. In the end that just resulted in ki outlining my body, which I quickly dispelled upon realizing that it was all somewhat explosive." he told him with a sheepish look on his face, looking a little embarrassed about it. It was a stupid experiment since he didn't even know how to make a basic ki shield at the time. "Yeah turns out that one shouldn't try experimenting with shield techniques without knowing the basic barrier technique. ANYWAY," He continued quickly wanting to move on to the next part.
"Now as I found out later from my squad leader, the brain actually adapts pretty damn fast upon ki energy being near it, in which it will memorize the energy and begin sensing it." He explains as he realized that he needed to give a little bit of a warning. "It can be disorienting at first so don't be surprised if you get dizzy from sensory overload. I imagine that for you it will likely lead to one hell of a headache due to the sheer amount of power you got." He tells him with a serious expression remembering the damned headache he got when he first started sensing energy, by the kais that was a painful moment. He honestly feels sorry for Yanwang on this front, still, he warned him.

Yanwang nodded as Lionel pointed out as he focused all the ki around his body then expanded out into a bubble. Then he the ki outlined his body and then he dispelled it once he realized what was going on. Yanwang tilted his head trying to figure out how that actually worked. "Ok yah...I see.." Yanwang was trying to understand it but it didn't make any sense to him. Why was this so confusing! Yanwang pulled on his hair a bit trying to really piece it all together. Then he realized Lionel was talking about how he failed to create the shield and not the ki sense. "Oh?" Yanwang frowned, guess that was not that helpful to him. Well unless he repeated exactly what Lionel did, then maybe Yanwang would stumble upon the ability to sense Ki.
Lionel explained after that his squad leader told him that he seemed to had an odd ability to adapt pretty quickly to being able to sense Ki. Yanwang nodded, "Mhm guess it would be really stressful for most people to just be able to sense life force when you could not before." Yanwang should prepare himself somewhere far from people, if he learned to sense Ki here maybe it'd be a bit overwhelming. He even pointed that out, that it may be a bit much once you started learning how to sense ki. "Right so I should prepare myself in a place where It is a controlled environment and not try to learn ki sensing in the middle of a city?" Yanwang asked waiting to make sure that was the case.

Lionel listened quietly as Yanwang spoke, nodding at certain points, but then at the end after Yanwang asked his question, "yeah, gotta be careful to not let the ki flare out upon the sensory overload, I recall a scorched wall and floor upon my experience." Lionel paced quietly for a moment trying to figure out a safe location for Yanwang to do it at. "A mountain range perhaps? The desert, or maybe in the tundra..." he was stroking his beard in thought as he spoke aloud what he was thinking. Either way, he had all his stuff in his pockets so he supposed that it was soon time to go as he looked upon his wristwatch. "Damn." he muttered, then turned his head back at Yanwang.
"Wish I could chat more, but I got a long day of work tomorrow." He began to float in the air, he really did want to chat more, but time constraints freaking suck. "When you want to talk to me, come to Whitemane's Forge." He got a card out of his pocket and tossed it to him. "This has the address, was nice talking to you. Name's Lionel by the way." He'd wait long enough to hear Yanwang state his name, and if he does so, then he'd reply with "See you later." before flying off into the distance.

Yanwang nodded as Lionel noted that he just had to be careful to not let his ki flare out too much to use the Techquines. He suggested training in a desert, mountain, or tundra. Those all seemed like good options but Yanwang usually trained in the desert any time he could. The Mountains had too much collateral and the Tundra's were too cold. Sure the deserts were hot but that actually sometimes helped with his training once he broke out with sweat. Lionel then noted it was time for him to go. He had work in the morning. It was pretty late, guess Yanwnag would get ready to hit the hey. "Alright, it was nice meeting you old man Lionel." He knew now that Lionel was not an old man it was meant to be more of a playful tease. Plus the way Lionel carried himself, Yanwang had to think he was actually pretty old. He told stories like an old man would, at least that what Yanwang equated it too. Yanwang glanced as Lionel threw him a card he catching it and giving it a glance. "Ok!" Yanwang grinned as he waved Lionel off. "Goodbye!" Yanwang watched Lionel flew off. "Ok well, time to go find a place to sleep." Yanwang put the card in a safe place and began to look for a place to rest.
