In the middle of the industrial park of Central City, two guards stand outside a metal locked gate. The two men were Renegades, and both men were equipped with handguns and some special cryotech weapons specifically picked out for one certain flaming pink individual. The gate leads to 'Armen's Aero Facility,' a long since abandoned factory dedicated to the production of airplane parts and accessories. After a freak accident approximately seven years ago killed the original owner and founder, the factory was left behind by it's co-founder in the hopes of investing into a different business. In the meanwhile, the Renegades saw their chance to establish a new hideout and have slipped in. Now the former factory stands as the main headquarters for the Renegade Movement, at least, in Central City.
"Hey John," the leftmost guard asks as he turns his head towards his partner, "Did ya hear about Ezekiel's death yet?" Wearing a confused expression, John turns back to his fellow guard and asks, "What? Who the hell's Ezekiel, Rick? I don't care 'bout no power struggle, man." Rick quickly responds, "Wait, you seriously never heard about Ezekiel. You know, gang leader Ezekiel? That guy?" John proceeds to shake his head, not knowing who Ezekiel even is. Rick sighs to himself and asks, "Okay, what do you know 'bout the leadership here?" John replies, "Well, I s'pose there's Antonio, our boss, I guess, but that's about it." Rick then shakes his head and starts to giggle for a bit before responding, "Damn, you really are a lost cause, ain't ya." John begins to move towards his fellow guard with his finger pointing at him and threatens, "Look man, I don't give a single flying fu-" Before John could continue on with his rant, however, both of the guards turn towards the road leading up to the factory as they hear a lot of tire screeching in the distance.
The two men knew that this meant business and they simultaneously pull out their cryo weapons in case that they refuse to stop at the gate. Before they could fully prepare, however, both men are riddled with bullets coming from the passenger seat of one of the incoming trucks. Both men fall down to the ground as the truck keeps on moving forward, intending to plow right through the gate. An alarm can be heard screeching inside of the factory as the truck crashes through the metal gate and makes a b-line for the base. All of the doors and gates that lead into the factory have now been shut with only a handful of guards remaining outside the premise, most of which are equipped with more cryo weapons while men on the second floor of the factory begin to mount machine guns upon the window sills. The truck comes to a halt, and the back doors immediately swing open, letting out a hoard of Dirty Snake gangsters loaded with guns of their own. As the Renegades outside aim their weapons towards the Snakes, several pink fireballs are launched from the driver seat of the truck, and one by one, each of the window sills which housed a machine gun was now up in flames. As the Snakes and Renegades fight amongst each other, the passenger and driver doors open up to reveal Derry and Wallace.
As the last few Renegades are wiped out, Derry rushes towards some of the frozen solid Dirty Snakes and proceeds to warm them up using his flames. Three of the frozen men survive while it was too late for another gangster. In total, including Derry and Wallace, twenty nine Dirty Snakes remain to take the factory. Derry points his finger at Wallace and commands, "Wallace, get the rig out and get that gate open. I'll clear the way." "I'm on it, Derry. Move it, boys!" Wallace shouts as the gangsters proceed to pull out a cutting rig in the hopes of melting through the door. Should the Snakes open the door this way, they would be immediately subject to gunfire, that is, unless someone was already inside meddling with them. Derry launches himself into the air and breaks through his own pink flames that covers one of the window sills. Once inside, Derry takes a look around and analyzes his surroundings.
It appears as if his fire has already began to spread all across the second floor, so time was now limited. Derry guesses that they have approximately thirty minutes until the whole building collapses. The pink haired gangster could always absorb the flames back into his body, but he's confident that his team can get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Any Renegades that were in the room with him were either burning alive or have already perished to the flames. Derry notices a door to his immediate right and proceeds to blast it open using one of his fireballs. After exiting the room, he was now on a catwalk that oversaw the first floor, giving him a clear line of sight for almost every single Renegade in the building. The Renegades down below quickly look up after hearing the door burst open and immediately aim their weapons towards Derry's current position.
Derry raises his hand towards his sunglasses and presses a button along the top of the right side rim. The right lens turns bright pink as various different numbers pop up on his built in scouter. There wasn't a single man inside the building whose power level exceeded twenty. "Well, this won't take long," Derry mutters to himself as he takes his sunglasses off and puts them in his right pants pocket. The gangster's eyes are now filled with pink flames as he jumps down onto the Renegades waiting down below. As he falls, Derry launches several fireballs aimed at the men near the back of the factory, each one hitting their mark and setting them on fire. Derry finally lands on the ground and immediately uses his flamethrower technique to incinerate anyone that was directly in front of him. The Renegades next to Derry attempt to shoot him with regular guns, but it was useless as each bullet disintegrated before ever reaching Derry. Derry raises both hands and shoots fireballs at the two Renegades next to him, engulfing them in flames almost instantly.
As Renegades shout at each other in the distance, Derry walks backwards and knocks on the gate right behind him. Within seconds, a white flame pierces through the metal and starts making an arch. While the cutting was occurring, Derry rushes forward in an attempt to catch the Renegades off guard. Before he could round the corner, however, an ice beam is blasted directly in front of him, forcing Derry to move back behind a pile of crates. It seems that they've anticipated Derry's attack. Perhaps he's been getting a bit too predictable with his approach. The gangster decides to switch things up and builds up a more volatile fireball in his hands. He peaks the corner and tosses the fireball in the middle of the floor, and waits for a mere moment. The fireball explodes and engulfs each Renegade member in flames. Derry strolls around the corner and begins to absorb the fire that was burning the floor beneath him. Even something such as concrete was no match for Derry's flames, so he has to make sure there's an actual path to the back for the rest of the Dirty Snakes to go through.
Speaking of which, a loud slam can be heard from the other side of the factory and Wallace and twenty of the Dirty Snakes begin to pour through the vacancy. With guns aimed at the remaining Renegades, the men had no choice but to lay down their arms and surrender to the overwhelming force of Derry and the Dirty Snakes. Derry regroups with Wallace and asks, "Well, any news from outside?" Wallace shakes his head and replies, "Nah, thinks are silent fo' now. Well, that's just 'bout everyone here. Think the only ones left are inside the planning room. What are we doin' with these guys?" Derry takes one long look at each of the Renegades that were lined up. Each one had fear in their eyes, as if begging for their lives with their looks alone. The gang has no time for mercy. "Kill 'em. There's no need to keep 'em alive." Wallace nods as he raises his handgun to the Renegades before him. As each one panics and attempts to get out of the way, Wallace and the other Dirty Snakes begin executing the helpless Renegades. While Wallace was busy with that, Derry moves towards a door that was located on the left side of the factory. This was what they came here for. Not only will this finally bring an end to the Renegade operations within Central City, but whatever was inside could provide a clue as to the whereabouts of the actual HQ of the Renegades is located.
Derry reaches for the doorknob, but finds that the door slowly opens on its own. He peers inside, but it was pitch black inside. Derry flips the light switch that was right next to him, but none of the bulbs were working. He frowns and mutters to himself, "The hell?" Derry raises his right hand as he reverts back to his base form, his brown eyes replacing the pink flames in the sockets. He creates a small, pink fireball to light up the hallway, but couldn't see anything aside from a bunch of papers on the floor. Derry fully enters the hallway and proceeds slowly down the corridor, staying alert in the event of an ambush. He was walking for what seemed like minutes before he came across something strange lying on the ground: A human arm, completely disconnected from the body. Derry backs away in shock and whispers, "What the... the fuck happened here?" He continues further down the hallway until a doorway appears on his left, with the door itself in pieces and laying on the ground in front of him. Derry peaks the corner only to be met with complete darkness. He attempts to flip the room's light switch, but once again, no light was produced.
Derry brings the fireball into the room and is greeted by a horrific sight: Bodies mangled in such an inhuman way, contorted into all sorts of twisted shapes, their faces filled to the brim with fear. And in the corner lies a single, fully intact body, with a bullet hole in its head. Derry releases the fireball and has it float in the air while he approaches the body in the corner. The hands specifically were just covered in blood, and upon closer inspection, it appears as if the body didn't belong to that of a human, but an android. Derry could even see some of the wiring inside the bullet wound of the android. A low moaning sound rang from the other corner of the room, and Derry immediately turns around to be greeted by a Renegade lying on the ground bleeding to death. The gangster made his way towards the dying man and demands, "What's going on here? What happened?" The man coughs up a little bit of blood and croaks, "It was... that fuckin' android... it just... turned on us... and it... shot itself... Where's... where's Daniel?"
The bloodied man reaches forward, but then slumps over, motionless, silent. Derry gets up and proceeds to scan a nearby table for anything that seems important. Surely enough, a single disk lies on the table, and Derry swipes it and puts it in his right pocket. Derry grabs the sunglasses in the same pocket and places them on his forehead as he reaches for the android in the corner. Perhaps with a little bit of digging, they could get some information out of this hunk of metal. As Derry made his way out of the room, the fireball that was floating inside of the room drops to the floor and the flames quickly spread across the entire room, incinerating just about everything inside. Derry exits the hallway and slams the door shut behind him while Wallace approaches and asks, "The hell's with the body?" "It's an android. Gonna take a look at him once we're back at HQ," Derry says as he carries the body back outside and to the truck.
"So," Wallace asks Derry as the gangster places the body inside of the trailer as the other gangsters begin to get on board as well, "What's the next step, boss?" Derry closes his eyes for a moment and flips his sunglasses back down to cover his eyes once again. He turns back to Wallace and plainly states, "Wallace, it's Derry, alright? I don't need any of this 'boss' shit." "Hey man, I'm sorry. I just thought that-" Before Wallace could finish his sentence, Derry slams the door to the trailer shut now that every single gangster was inside. "I appreciate the coutesey, but please remember that I'm Derry. I'm your friend, right?" A droplet of sweat appears on top of Wallace's bald head and he quickly replies, "Of course, Derry." Wallace was now slightly shaking, but Derry doesn't mention it as the two of them make their way back to the truck, with Derry behind the wheel.
Once both of the men were inside, Derry takes the truck keys from his left pocket. Before he could start the truck, Derry turns back towards Wallace and asks, "Wallace, do you fear me?" A second drop of sweat appears on Wallace's head as he swiftly responds, "What? What are you goin' on 'bout, Derry? Why would I ever be afraid of you?" Derry pauses for a moment to analyze Wallace's body language. He was still shaking, and more and more sweat began to show itself on Wallace's head. It didn't take a genius to figure out that Wallace was lying. "Every time, Wallace..." Derry mutters to himself as his grip on the keys and wheel tightens. "Every... what now?" Wallace asks. "Wherever I go, people fear me. I'm not just talking about any strangers or customers, Wallace: I'm talking about everyone in this whole damn organization. Every time I try to look at any of the new guys in the back, they avert their eyes, making sure to avoid my sight. Every time I talk to you or Lucas, you've been shaking in your boots, sweating as if I will end you at any point. Why? Is it because of this?" Derry asks as he creates a small fireball in his hand. Wallace recoils slightly and backs away slowly. Derry continues, "Well? Is it?" Derry proceeds to chuck the fireball directly at Wallace's window, breaking it and landing on the ground, now burning the concrete nearby.
"Well guess what," Derry continues on, now shouting, "I can control it just fine! Why are you two so hesitant around me!? It's not like I've asked for... this. I didn't just gaze upon some stupid ass comet and wish for super fun time fire powers!" Now sweating profusely, Wallace raises his hands towards Derry and requests, "Woah, woah, woah, where's all this coming from? Lucas and I, we're your friends. I admit I'm a bit intimidated, but that doesn't change the fact that we're your friends. You're overreacting, man. How much sleep have you gotten recently?" Derry pauses for a moment and thinks about how long he's slept in this week alone. He realizes that he's only slept for about 16 hours in total for the entire week, and he only slept when he was just so tired that he couldn't do anything. Wallace then responds, "You need some rest, Derry. Take a break. Things can't go on as they are right now." Derry looks back at Wallace and quickly replies, "Yeah... yeah, alright. That... that sounds good. Maybe I do need a break."
Before Derry could insert the keys into the ignition, Wallace grabs Derry's wrist. Derry snaps back towards Wallace, and he replies, "How 'bout starting now?" Derry pauses for a moment, and decides to give in to Wallace's request. He hands Wallace the keys to the truck, and the two switch spot. Once the truck starts up, Derry begins to doze off, and passes out within seconds. The truck then drives away from the 'Armen's Aero Factory," now almost completely burnt to the ground as police sirens are heard approaching the factory. Perhaps Derry did need a break. Perhaps...
"Hey John," the leftmost guard asks as he turns his head towards his partner, "Did ya hear about Ezekiel's death yet?" Wearing a confused expression, John turns back to his fellow guard and asks, "What? Who the hell's Ezekiel, Rick? I don't care 'bout no power struggle, man."
