SPECIES: Human
AGE: 22
GENDER: Female
STARTING PLANET: Earth
APPEARANCE:

BACKGROUND:
Tsuki had always had a complicated relationship with the maternal side of her family. Her mother, Champon was a powerful witch from a noble family within their society. As the most powerful witch in her family, she would also have to produce equal or even more powerful heirs if her family were to retain their position. Her search would eventually lead Champon to meet her father Muro who was initially enchanted by the woman. Their relationship would bear two children: Tsuki and her younger sister Ra.
Like every woman in her family, the two sisters were raised at a young age to practice the mystical arts and keep cultivating their power. As the eldest daughter, Champon had also wanted Tsuki to succeed, hoping that one day taking her place as the new matriarchy of their family. Yet despite the status and all the obligations that she held, Tsuki did not have much interest within the society that she was forced into in the first place. Even if she did enjoy the cool powers that came along with being a witch, there were too many rules for her to remember, and by conforming to them she would be stripped of a typical childhood that she was supposed to enjoy. Fortunately, Muro was one of many who would speak against her mother, eventually causing her to give up on her eldest daughter and focus more upon Ra.
As the basis of their relationship was not built on love, it wasn't long before the two would mutually agree to separate. Champon would take Ra with her while Muro would take Tsuki with him, both raising the two children on their own. Due to this, she would not have much contact with her mother or sister after their divorce at the age of ten only seeing each other during certain occasions such as holidays or birthdays.
With the main breadwinner of the family now gone, the two would begin to live in poverty, with Muro working long hours in order to support himself and his daughter. As such, Tsuki faced immense loneliness throughout her early life, eventually forcing her to find other ways to cope with being by herself. Television and books quickly became a medium that she used to escape the world with, the countless stories of excitement, eventually causing her to aspire to be one of the heroes from her stories as well.
This would especially motivate Tsuki to further explore her magical talents. Even if she had the textbooks and scrolls from when her mother was still there, they were not an acceptable substitute for a magic teacher. However, through her studies, she would soon learn about a new force known as ki, one that she could cultivate on her own. The process of learning this new energy was full of failure but through grit and determination, she was able to develop her own ki enough to power her body and to produce ki blasts, using the two in conjunction. She would even take on martial arts after hearing how it could potentially help develop her ki further.
Slowly she would test out her strength during her high school years, using her powers to stop petty crimes such as burglary to a surprising amount of success. The more she succeeded, the more Tsuki felt motivated to chase her dream of becoming a hero. By the time she graduated high school, Tsuki had begun acting as a nightly vigilante, helping out those who need help around her neighborhood and town and would continue to do so when she began college.
Although it was all fun, Tsuki knew that it was probably best not to fully pursue her childhood dream with how unrealistic it was. Instead, she would focus her energy on studying to become a police officer and allowed her dream to slowly fade away. As happy as she was to live out her childhood dream, it was time for her to retire from her position as the neighborhood hero.
On what was her final patrol, Tsuki would encounter a threat far more sinister than she had dealt with before. While she had fought against armed robbers before, they were nothing in comparison to the demon that terrorized the town she lived in. In comparison to his strength, she was nothing. Even her best efforts were in vain as he would easily defeat her, leaving her half dead.
By then the damage was done. When Tsuki woke up in the hospital, she was forced to face the terrifying reality: she could no longer feel anything from the waist down. Unlike her other injuries, this was permanent and thus she would have to adapt to a life where she could no longer move her legs. This would, unfortunately, mean an end to her dreams not just as a hero but also her planned future as a policeman to her dismay.
Most of her recovery was spent trying to adapt to life without the use of her legs, and suffering through the consequences that were the result of her new disability. Despite her efforts, Tsuki would slowly come to a realization that there was no reversing the damage done to her spine. No magic would be able to able to repair the nerves and implants simply could not work as they would get in the way of her magic (not to mention she couldn't afford such a luxury in the first place). Eventually, she was left despondent, without another purpose in life.
Her life slowly spiraled downwards, with Tsuki dropping out completely from college and spending her days inside her room. However the state of the world would also progressively get worse, something that she simply wasn't able to ignore. Despite her new condition, it wasn't as if she wanted to spend her life doing nothing. Although it took a few years, Tsuki slowly came to a new realization. Even if she was paraplegia, she still had her magic, her ki, and her power. She wasn't entirely defenseless, all she had to do was learn to adapt to her new condition and overcome it.
It wasn't long before she found her saving grace. After a conversation with her mother, she would learn of a ritual that would allow her to summon a familiar of hers using her own magical power. As weak as it may be, it was enough to give her hope. With this new weapon by herself, Tsuki was slowly picking up the pieces of her former life, determined to help protect and rebuild the world from all the tragedies despite the state of her own body.
