Mount Five Element was a sacred place to Earth. The closest connection in the known universe that the living realms had to the realm of Heaven itself. That wasn't why Violin had come here today after months of meditation in the far reaches of the planet. He came because this place was host to conditions and people ripe for training, something the Namekian had been slacking on for a while ever since his retreat. Seeing Oboe in the state he was in... it had done a number on Violin's mind and the troubled warrior had hoped to find solace among nature and silence. Yet that time had passed and he was now determined to see himself grow stronger once more. As a beacon of power Mount Five was sure to attract curious wanderers if nothing else... so this is where he would wait.

The demon had been learning a lot in his off time, his fighting had vastly increased with practice, and his ability to control ki was growing with each passing day. Just like his Predecessor, Boryoku's ability to grow was exceptional. He was a prodigy when it came to fighting, and so was his predecessor. Sensoa's best was when his opponents were so vastly superior he didn't stand a chance, it brought about the greatest growth in the demon... But Boryoku was finding his power was not growing at all.
This left the demon in a rather... foul mood. He needed to find that catalyst, the one that brought him the most power... He needed to find that which drove him further than any other. He needed... something. That lack of 'something' brought him unbelievable amounts of frustration, of pain. He disliked it immensely, and yet it didn't help him at all.
He had come to this mountain in hopes of learning something, to perhaps harness fire? Perhaps his power was elemental? Perhaps he needed to commit evil to grow stronger? He had been training, yet his ki was unlike anything he had ever worked with. Sensoa's power simply rose... but Boryoku was born in a way that defied natural selection. He was a creation, born from a mistake and through the fragments of a defeated entity. He was... broken.
As his journey reached the peak, Boryoku was left standing at the top of the stairs. There he was greeted with a Namekian and it seemed to be waiting on something. Boryoku slowly took a few steps forward before smiling faintly.
"Good day... Mighty strange place to rest. But then again I've seen worse."
With a chuckle Boryoku came to a stop before holding out his hands briefly, then letting them slap his sides.

Violin was quiet even as the stranger approached, reaching out with his sensing to get a feel for their energy. The type felt vaguely familiar, demonic in origin like he had seen with Berith before. Yet what was a Demon doing on a presumably holy mountain such as this one? Was Violin their reason for coming here, or had there been plans before he had cropped up as an obstacle along the way? The Namekian's eyes opened, springing to his feet as he observed Boryoku for a moment in passive silence. "Indeed, perhaps it is. Yet even stranger is it to find someone else trekking these mountain paths towards Five Element, let alone someone with energy as distinctively demonic in nature as yours." Despite his words Violin took a casual stance. He had no need to immediately fear this person be they good or bad, in fact their power was close enough to his that the though of entertaining them with a spar was oh so tempting in of itself.
"...Yet perhaps it was not luck that brought us here, but something else. I am Violin, former Outcast of Namek and now aimless wanderer. Where I had once hoped to be a Hero I find my purpose snuffed by the denizens of Earth." A frown crested his lips, recollection washing over him of dealing with that insufferable human and bug-creature. As if not restoring Namek had been the best move all along so they could selfishly revive their own family member a month or so earlier. "And to you, Demon, I propose a challenge. It has been too long since I have fought another and the sands of time slip away in idle play as I contemplate such things. Will you fight me, here and now upon this mountain?"
