Thread PL: 130,200 Central City was just as she remembered it; full of people going about their day to day lives and just as unconcerned about her the first time she’d come to this city in search of Carro. After her break in the Temple with Mumbo, Zriracha had felt a sense of curious longing for the young inventor. Her spell was still incomplete, but she wasn’t worried about that for now. What was on her mind was how he was faring and, to an extent, if he’d made any progress on that projector. She was no hurry for it, but as the time came closer for her to figure SOME way to make contact with a Shin-Jin - she needed any edge she could get. Walking along the sidewalk toward the King’s Castle, Zriracha was met with a familiar set of guards at the front entrance that appeared to recognize her instantly - no surprise there. She tossed them both a smile, bowing politely, “We meet again, although under better circumstances I would hope,” It was a simple tease but one that elicited an annoyed response as expected. “If you tell us you have an appointment, I’m escorting you OFF the grounds personally.” Zriracha chuckled, prepared, “I don’t have an appointment, then.” And she took great amusement in watching the both of them glance at each other before she finished matter-of-factly, “Friends don’t need appointments, after all!” And taking pleasure in their shocked expressions before she easily hopped upwards into the air and onto a balcony near the second floor. “HEY!” They yelled in unison, their only response from Zriracha being a twiddle of her fingers in farewell before she bounded upwards again into the air to land on a balcony with an open door. Striding down the halls, Zriracha called out for her friends with excitement in her voice. “Carro! Leo - are either of you in?! I’ve returned from space and brought gifts and news!” She hoped they weren’t busy doing something important; she knew little of the responsibilities of the President of Earth but didn’t intend to take too much of their time if she wasn’t wanted. LOCAL GOAT BREAKS INTO A CASTLE AGAINCARRO's PL: 100 || LEO'S PL: 100 (SUPPRESSED | 200k BASE | x9P | SUIT UP ACTIVE)
"SSHSHSHHHHH--!!" As Zriracha trespassed her way into private property, a familiar, albeit much smaller than usual feline face popped into view. It seemed the demon had landed right in the spacious living room of King's Castle, with a certain robotic feline shushing glaring daggers right at her. Another cat with jet black fur and a green collar was pressed up to LEO's side- King's Castle's local housecat, Cola.
LEO was lying beside another shape covered in a blanket on the couch. An all-too human, pale arm was wrapped halfheartedly around the shrunken mecha. Though the figure's face was buried into a pillow, the small person's tell-tale orange hair and familiarly strained ki signature would make Carro's identity clear.
After a few moments of suspenseful silence as LEO noted Carro's arm tensing somewhat in response to the sudden noise of Zriracha bursting in, it seemed he'd fallen back into as restful of a slumber as he could manage. The android's relived sigh was followed by her voice telepathically popping into Zriracha's head. 'You have no idea how long it took for me to get him to fall asleep.' Thanks to the recent persuasion of Dion and Kayen, Carro had been trying to sleep more, but his insomnia wasn't an easy beast for him or LEO to conquer.
'And yes, I know, this is Carro- he's not an android anymore, for better or worse.' Carro's return to his fleshy form would certainly be news to Zriracha, LEO figured. Still, at a first glance, his skinny, scarred form looked more like a corpse than someone sleeping soundly.
'Regardless... Long time no see, I suppose. I am glad to see you in one piece,' Though LEO had yet to put her full trust into the demon, she could tell Zriracha's prior care and concern at their last meeting for Carro was genuine. 'As somebody has been worrying something happened to you over the past few months.' LEO gestured back to Carro with her head. 'I digress. What do you seek from this unplanned appointment, anyways?' A playfully accusatory tone crept into LEO's voice briefly, but she remained her usual calm self otherwise.
[UT1] Telelink used to telepathically talk to Zriracha! ------------------------ LEO's Life Link (x9P) and [UT1] Suit Up are active. [UT2] Ki Setting lowers her PL to 100. Her PL CAN BE SENSED and feels a lot like Carro's ki! [UT2] Soulbound is active as per usual.

Upon hearing the sudden sound within her head, Zriracha froze quite abruptly in mid-step, her instincts honed on not moving an inch for nearly a solid minute as she awaited for the go ahead to proceed - albeit with caution. When LEO spoke once more, Zriracha carefully lowered her hoof to the floor and approached what appeared to be LEO in a much smaller form… along with another friend that was a little furrier. Moving her body in a such a way to get a closer look, still quite confused at who LEO was trying to keep from waking up, until the Satyr froze once more. Red eyes wide with shocked wonder, Zriracha stared at the familiar body of Carro… with skin and hair and- H-He’s… ALIVE alive! Zriracha realized, a short exhale of breath rushing from her as the pieces all came together. He was back in his old body; one that could feel and taste and… hurt. Her eyes blinked a little, realizing no more than a moment later that he still wasn’t quite at his best. Looking up at LEO, piggy-backing off the telepathic connection, Zriracha sent her own well-wishes, I can’t imagine what this could have taken. My apologies for coming unannounced, but I believe I’ve nearly forgotten the reason I even came here, She glanced back down at Carro, approaching as quietly as her hooves would allow along a hard surface. ... Heh. Kayen, huh? She smirked, glancing at LEO pointedly as she tried to picture the usually punch-your-feelings-out woman cooing the boy to sleep. It was only when LEO told her that Carro worried incessantly over her that Zriracha’s expression fell into one of bitter contrition, the thought repeating, My apologies. Space was a bit more dazzling than I expected and I may have found myself lost in a few side trips. Side trips that include-! She conjured an object from within her pocket dimension and produced… a small metallic shape that seemed to buzz with some unknown purpose. Gently, she placed it down on a table before tapping the top and watching it begun to shift and slide into a myriad of different shapes before finally stopping to settle on one. Zriracha looked at LEO, grinning, It is called a 'Tesseract' - A very sophisticated puzzle box that, if the merchant’s story holds weight, will reveal a treasure inside upon being solved… that is, if it can be solved. Her expression fell into a sheepish smile, I couldn’t figure it out. Gently, Zriracha settled herself upon a seat nearby before adding in, I have more news to share, but to be quite honest... I was also hoping to see if Carro made any progress on that projector. I do not wish to rush him; certainly not now given he's gotten his body back. Carro Hofferson

CARRO's PL: 100 || LEO'S PL: 100 (SUPPRESSED | 200k BASE | x9P | SUIT UP ACTIVE)
Zriracha's brief surprise at Carro's return to life caused a warm smile to spread across LEO's face- it was always nice to be reminded that she was far from the only one who wanted to look out for the President of Earth. Others cared for Carro just as much as he cared about them, as much as the stubborn saiyan tried to deny it these days. Such was evident by Zriracha offering a... very strange-looking gift.
LEO tilted her head to the side, examining the Tesseract. It was a puzzle of sorts, seemingly supernatural in nature. Even she could hardly discern where to begin with it. Carro would probably have a field day with it though... If he could ever be torn away from his work for more than five minutes, that was. 'I'm sure he'll appreciate it! Where did you get this from, anyways?' Where the demon had gone and what she had done were still a mystery. With her... concerning comments last time they met, LEO felt a bit wary, but still put her trust in Zriracha.
As for the machine Carro made for her, LEO sighed audibly. 'He finished its prototype model a few months ago. We've tested it as much as we can, but it will take magic that he and I lack to complete its stress testing.' She glanced back to the sleeping saiyan beside her, eyebrows furrowing in concern. Through their link she could feel growing tension in his unconscious body... 'He's spent some days waiting some time after work hours just in case of your return... Thankfully not long now that the weather is colder.' It had been heartwrenching to see her friend waiting like some loyal, lost puppy. He'd multitasked, getting work done on his laptop while he waited. Still, Zriracha was far from the only person Carro was hoping to find again some day.
'Once he's awake, I suppose we ca--' LEO began, only to cut herself off. Her pupils shrank in sudden shock and her ears perked up in alert. Her sights shot down to Carro, who'd curled in on himself somewhat in his sleep. The feeling of a much more rapid heartbeat, the hairs on his tail standing on end, and how tightly the saiyan grasped at the bedding beneath him were all tell-tale signs of a festering, unpleasant dream. '...Nightmares.' LEO briefly affirmed to Zriracha.
She put an arm atop her friend, narrowing her eyes as she silently strengthened their Link. 'Hopefully it's just passing.' Her flat, focused tone was evidence enough that this had not been an uncommon occurrence. She'd promised to Carro to wake him up if it got too bad-- but Kais above, he needed rest.

Zriracha was grateful that LEO considered the gift a success, almost tempted to wake Carro in spite of his exhausted state just to see his reaction to the small cube. However, Zriracha was determined to keep herself in check for his sake and decided to think about her response to LEO about where she got it from. She didn’t want to lie, per say, but she had to wonder if it was a good idea to tell him that said merchant had tried to mug her and couldn’t WAIT to part with this little trinket in a bid to not lose his life. The precious moments she needed to forge a good story were thankfully provided as LEO informed her of Carro’s progress on the Projector. Is that so? Well, I-! Yet just as quickly as the excitement came, pausing mid-thought, it was quickly tempered by the knowledge that Carro had been beside himself with worry. For her. So staggering was this revelation that Zriracha had pulled back a little, an expression of anguish quickly taking the place of the smile before she returned her gaze to the sleeping Saiyan. Though she didn’t know that he wasn’t waiting for JUST her, the idea that he hadn’t slept well because of her absence had her heart filled with heaviness. I didn’t realize he… thought about me at length. She was certain there was yet still trust to be earned and friendship to gain. Slowly, as she watched him struggle with a nightmare, Zriracha would feel her hand reach out toward the little Saiyan’s body. An instinctual action derived from soothing her many siblings from back in the Demon Realm. Just scant inches from his head, a very small black flame no bigger than the size of a thumbnail would ignite, I can scent it - the nightmare, Zriracha told LEO gently, a smile twitching onto her face. Let’s just… take that from you, young Carro… And gradually, the flame would grow - changing from it’s dark black to a lighter white as it grew to the size of a silver dollar. With a deep intake of breath, Zriracha inhaled the flame and - with it - the sweet taste of misery that her kind was so attracted to. The hand over Carro moved, coming up to her mouth as she released a muffled burp, Pardon. It was a bit stronger than I anticipated.
