Van gave his doragon friend a suave smile. “Alright, you handle the big guys I’ll handle the small guys,” he tilted his head towards all the blaster wielding guards. The android leaped from Carro’s shoulder, blasting a perfectly sized hole in the metal wall to allow him to somersault through. The guards will scramble to stop Van-80, who luckily was still perfectly capable to fight given his current condition. His moves were very flashy, graceful, but also purposeful, each strike of grapple wasting little no time while still being a spectacle even the most seasoned warriors could find breathtaking. If any thug got to close, Van would simply catch their arm, pulling the blasters out of their holsters to fire at another oncoming attacker.
As his fight raged on, Ima would chime in. “Sir, I have located the most likely chamber the blutz generator is located in.” A small blip would appear out of the corner of Van’s eye, showing him where this generator was possibly stored. It was surprisingly unguarded, almost suspiciously so.
“Clever,” he mused, throwing one of his opponents into the electrified cage where Tianum and Carro would likely still be fighting. “Hey you two! Ima says she might have found it! I’ll go try and shut it down. I’ll give you a little warning so you don’t shrink out of nowhere.” After he’d receive confirmation from the more conscious of the two giants the android would glide to the blutz room.
Sure enough, Ima was correct, a surprisingly small sphere help up but four small spikes was sitting all along in a very unsuspecting room. Van-80 chuckled to himself, thinking this was far too easy. A heavy blast later leaving the ball completely unscathed proved that it was indeed too good to be true. “What? You thought I’d just leave my generator out in the open without any security? This thing was built to withstand forces three times stronger than that measly little shot.” Hearing this didn’t demoralize the android and his partner, though they both gave a defeated sigh.
“Well, good thing we just made friends with a mechanic. Ima, you know what to do!” Once more Van activated his battle form, though he could feel his joints shaking, a fair amount of his synthetic skin tearing off from the sudden burst of power. This time the blast was more than enough to shatter the barrier and even take a good sized chunk off of the device.
“Now you’ve done it!” the voice shouted angrily, “Well too bad for you, I have that rigged to self destruct with even more force than what you can dish out!”
Again Van seemed less than concerned about whatever the voice was saying. “That’s nice but, Ima, status?”
“We were right, between going into B.U.T. twice along with the damage sustained in the sewer explosion, structural integrity is at 48% and dropping. If we get caught in this explosion, we’re likely to be in worse condition then after you caught a meteorite.” Ima warned, her voice growing worried. “Not to mention the blutz waves are still slowly leaking out.”
“Damn it!” Van swore, “ I can’t do another blast like that, let’s go warn the others!” He would then try to run out, only to have his right foot lock up on him. “Perfect! First my left and now my right!”
Luckily Ima had an idea. A few internalized blips and beeps later, she had managed to match her frequency with the intercom system that the voice was using before. “Attention everyone! Due to a malfunction in the blutz wave generator, this facility is in severe danger! Please exit as soon as possible. Tianum if you are ok, we need someone to come pick us up if you could!”
Van limped over to the device, hoping the two could stop the ensuing explosion. “Well, I guess we can hope he was bluffing, or that Tia and Carro are ok.”
